Firefly, I didn't have the curry in the end. Had Hairy Cajun chicken instead, 'twas very nice - shall be adding that to my favourites. I definitely recommend their diet cookbooks, they use a lot of herbs and spices to give flavour and also keep the portions sizes sensible.
I do want to keep going after Christmas - I reckon I will still have a good 10kgs to shift (more if I enjoy myself at Christmas too much!)
Not fasting today as not convenient, shall do so tomorrow.
Breakfast has been porridge and some orange juice. Lunch will be some sort of salad and I've no idea about dinner yet.

MillieMoodle · 24/11/2016 08:27

Wench well done on keeping up with the exercise! I think I am going to have to start with the exercise bike every other day; it's doing my stitches no good and (TMI alert) at 10 weeks postpartum I'm still bleeding quite a bit SadI thought it was the return of my periods but now I don't think it is as it's not really stopped for the last few weeks. With MFP I think my info will come up in your news feed thing in between all the adverts! That's where your info comes up on mine.

Will have cornflakes, tea and actimel for breakfast, out for lunch with work but will try to stick to a salad, then omelette for dinner with veg. Hopefully will avoid snacks today as ate too many peanut m&ms last night while watching The Missing.

I also would like to keep going with the weight loss after Christmas. I've got 10lbs to go until I'm back at pre-DS2 weight (10st 13lbs) and another 13lbs after that until I'm at pre-DS1 weight (10st) so a fair way to go yet! I'm hoping to be down to 10st by the time I go back to work, which will most likely be in June. Ideally I'd like to get down to 9st 7lbs but will see how I go!

Bibs2014 · 24/11/2016 17:00

Eurgh I'm doing crap :( Yesterday I had to go and visit a family member in hosp so just grabbed chips on the way home and then toddler had me up between 1 and 5am so I today I have been crap and unprepared.

Menu

Belvitas and a skinny latte

Lunch was pork slices and salad in a roll, crisps from EAT and a pot of their pigs in blankets

Have snacked on apple, satsumas and grapes.

Chicken pasta for dinner.

FireflyGirl · 24/11/2016 19:13

Got on the scales at the gym tonight - I have been under my calories every day, and have lost... nothing. Not a sausage, not a bean! Going to hang on until Sunday and see before I have a proper sulk, but I am seriously unimpressed Angry

B: dippy eggs and soldiers (1 slice wholemeal), some gammon
L: Chicken salad with feta, a satsuma
T: beef gyros kebabs (homemade with lean mince) with sweet potato fries (MFP says I can have 16 for 140 cals) and salad.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 24/11/2016 19:39

Oh firefly, how disheartening! Surely you must lose something if you've been under your calorie allowance each day? I've been just under my allowance each day so far this week and will be absolutely gutted if I haven't lost a decent amount!

I've stuck to my planned meals today and with cycling to and from work i had enough calories spare to have half a small bar of chocolate when I got home which was yum Chocolate Smile

No work tomorrow so I've got to motivate myself back on to the exercise bike for 5k in the morning.

FireflyGirl · 24/11/2016 21:20

I know, grr Angry. I'm just hoping I'm retaining a lot of water.

Splashed out Hmm 187 cals on some chocolate, but am still under my calorie allowance for the day, even ignoring the added ones from exercise so have not derailed myself.

OP posts:
Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 24/11/2016 23:12

firefly you may find you don't drop much this week and then a lot next week. It's very disheartening but you know you are doing all the right things, the weight will come off!

Ice3 · 25/11/2016 10:38

I had a really, really crap day food wise yesterday. Even as I was eating the second mini cheddars bag last night I knew I wasn't eating because I was hungry, or craving them. It was pointless. I'm going for a walk later and I'm only going to eat proper food today. No crisps snacks.

Hope everyone has a good day.

MillieMoodle · 25/11/2016 12:14

Managed quite a good day yesterday - no snacks at all. Had margherita pizza for lunch, then steak, chips and veg for dinner. Am down to 9st 8lbs so 6lbs lost in total!

Today I've had cornflakes, actimel and tea for breakfast. Went to visit a friend this morning and had a chocolate miniroll with a cup of tea. Lunch will be either beans or scrambled egg on toast. Dinner will be fish and chips as DS1 has football training tonight and we eat late, after he's finished.

Notsoskinnyminny · 25/11/2016 17:07

Well I was 1/2lb down when I weighed yesterday morning and after a total bingefest all day I was 1lb heavier this morning! Off to bag-pack at the local supermarket - the things I get dragged into so I've told DH I'll just have soup and Wine when I get home. I nearly sucumbed to a mince pie but MFP said it had 229 calories so I put it back in the box and nearly fainted when a morribobs fruit scone sans butter was a whopping 396 - I must've been having half my now daily allowance every time I had one which was most days

Firefly maybe your body needs a bit extra - you get a virtual telling off on MFP if you're well under your daily allowance.

Waves to everyone else

Ice3 · 25/11/2016 17:45

The whole, proper food promise didn't last. I'm in the pub drinking wine for the first time in months. I'm going to try and log each glass though and see what the damage is tomorrow.

Bibs2014 · 25/11/2016 18:39

Been suffering from horrendous bloating since Monday which has now calmed down so was a pound lighter this morning. No plans this weekend so have to stick with it!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 25/11/2016 19:56

Well done millie - 6lbs loss is brilliant :-)

I did my 5k on the exercise bike again this morning - oddly I seem to be getting slower, not faster though Confused but I am managing to do the whole lot at a steady pace without stopping, and burning just over 100 calories each time.

I'm under my allowance again today - breakfast was 2 hard boiled eggs with tea, latte and small piece of chocolate mid morning, lunch was chicken balti with rice, dinner was gammon with roast potatoes and lots of veg.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 25/11/2016 19:59

Oh, by the way millie .. I'm definitely not getting any MFP notifications from you. The last one was something 5 days ago so not sure what is going on there Confused do you get stuff from me every day?

MillieMoodle · 25/11/2016 20:55

Wench yes on my homepage it gives
me updates like how many days you've logged in for, what your total loss is etc. Will see if I need to change my settings in case it's stopping you seeing my info.

Had beans on toast for lunch and 2 lebkuchen. Then had fish and chips for dinner with a Diet Coke. Debating having a couple of biscuits as my car broke down this afternoon so I feel a bit sorry for myself!

FireflyGirl · 25/11/2016 22:13

Millie that sulks about your car. BUT, will having a chocolate biscuit actually make you feel better? or fix your car You're doing so well, have them if you want them but you don't need them.

Well done on the loss Bibs , that's great.

Glad to hear you're doing so well, Wench, and sticking with the exercising as well. I keep thinking I need to do more, but it's getting chance to do it!

Enjoy your wine, Ice Wine

Thanks for the encouragement, Loki and NotSo. I'm giving it until Sunday, but I'm still in quite a good place - had an interview today and managed to squeeze into my size 12 suit dress that hasn't fit for about 2 years. It was literally a squeeze but I got it on!

B: 5 After 8 mints (may have fibbed about not sulking after last night)
L: gammon salad with feta and a boiled egg, oatcakes and hummous
T : Chicken with Nando sauce, rice and salad

Still within my calories but it's been hard today Sad

OP posts:
MillieMoodle · 25/11/2016 22:48

Firefly no sadly biscuits won't fix my car Sad but I'm hopeful that my friend who's a mechanic will! I haven't had any biscuits, I've MN'd and played games on my phone instead so am feeling quite pleased about that!

I tried my wedding ring on earlier this evening and for the first time since I was 7 months pregnant I managed to get it over my knuckle. Couldn't get it on properly and then struggled to get it off again but it's progress and I'm hoping once I've lost a couple more pounds it will fit again. That's the motivation I'm going with for now (as well as this thread!), as I'm so close to being able to wear it again. Smile

Lostmyunicorn · 26/11/2016 07:19

firefly don't be too downhearted. Are you at a point in your cycle where you might be retaining water? If so you might find a pound or two drop away in a few days time.

MillieMoodle · 26/11/2016 08:05

Glad I stayed away from the biscuits last night, am down to 11st 7lbs this morning so half a stone lost in total Grin

Breakfast this morning was actimel, tea and cornflakes. Off to do some Christmas shopping today so lunch will probably be something out. Either McDonald's or a sandwich. Dinner will be pork chops, wedges and veg. Will try to avoid snacks again but it's even harder at the weekend as DH is around.

Bibs2014 · 26/11/2016 10:14

Well done everyone you are all doing so well.

I feel like a big fat failure, I'm crap at this!

Breakfast was on the move this morning at 6.30am!! Aldi breakfast biscuits, a skinny latte from costa then I had to use the bathroom desperately so had to buy something from a cafe so had a bacon roll. But I promise to be good for the rest of the day!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 26/11/2016 12:10

Half a stone, millie! Well done, that's fantastic.

I'm at work, it's absolutely manic busy which is good as I've been really hungry but not had chance to stop and snack. Breakfast was porridge and banana with a cup of tea, just having lunch which is 2 boiled eggs, some gammon leftover from last nights dinner and one slice of seeded toast. Oh and a skinny latte. Not sure yet what dinner will be but as dh is in charge of that today I suspect it won't be that healthy Hmm I've got nearly 700 calories left though so hopefully I'll be ok.

Bibs you're not a failure, don't give up! I felt the same the first couple of weeks of this as I felt like I was trying hard and losing very little. This last week something finally seems to have clicked and I've managed to exercise and stay under my calorie allowance every day. You can do it!

How's everyone else going today?

SmellTheGlove · 26/11/2016 12:26

My mum just brought me some chocs back from holiday so I'm going to have count them into my allowance as sadly I lack the willpower to eat just a couple. At least I got them early in the day though so can eat less of everything else. Not the healthiest eating plan but still! It's still going well, I'm walking my legs off which is definitely helping.

Notsoskinnyminny · 26/11/2016 14:12

I'm still 1/2lb up on last week so hoping for an overnight whoosh. I bought a dress in October, something nice but not too dressy for visiting people, going to the pub etc when I'm having a fat day and I don't feel like wearing jeans. I got a 14 to go over my boobs and its too big now. What's worse its 1/2 price in debenhams today and I'd get another 10% off Angry

Well done on reaching your half stone Millie

Bibs don't give up, life gets in the way and as long as we think ok I need to be mindful for the rest of the day rather than f*ck it lets eat everything 'naughty' because I've written today off then we'll get there. Besides if we deprive ourselves too much when we stop we'll just pile everything back on again and more.

Right coursework beckons, after I've done a photo calendar for DD, found some PJs for DS, had a look at all the black Friday offers ..... Grin

Bibs2014 · 26/11/2016 15:30

Thx everyone. I had fruit salad and a homous and salad wrap for lunch.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 26/11/2016 15:53

Argh DH informs me we're having dominoes pizza for dinner. I don't have the willpower to resist if everyone else in the house is having it so what's the least damaging thing I can order from there?!
