Get well soon wench and Firefly

Sorry you're both feeling rubbish.

Triangular have fun dress shopping. Once you find one you can put a picture of it on your fridge as motivation! (Although not if it's supposed to be a surprise I guess!)

I've managed my 12 000 steps every day so far this week and did a 30min bike ride yesterday as well.

Have just followed Firefly's example and written a meal plan for the next week.

Bibs2014 · 25/01/2017 21:02

Menu

Cereal, semi skimmed milk, fruit
Lentils, quinoa, salad
Chicken and salami quesadilla with a side salad
Grapes and popcorn for snacks

Bibs2014 · 25/01/2017 21:02

Good luck with dress shopping, triangle, you'll know when you see it!!

MillieMoodle · 26/01/2017 07:56

Good luck with dress shopping triangle!

Was good yesterday, no snacks at all. Had pork chops, chips, cauliflower cheese and broccoli for dinner instead of stir fry.

Today will be:

B: actimel, tea cornflakes
L: cheese roll
D: pork stir fry and noodles

Still at 11st 7lbs this morning but I think my stomach looks a little bit flatter. I tried my pre-baby jeans on last night and I can almost do them up. I think if I lose another 3 or 4 lbs they might fit!

How are you feeling today Wench?

Wenchelda · 26/01/2017 11:16

Hi Millie .. I'm feeling a bit better than a day or two ago, but still not great tbh. I just feel drained and exhausted all the time - which is making me lazy. I was ok on my calories yesterday; actually stated within my allowance. However the rest of the week hasn't been as successful. Plus tomorrow I am going out for a posh afternoon tea for a friends birthday so there's no chance of me staying within my limit then!

So I am just writing this week off (isn't that every week since Xmas so far? Blush) Hopefully I will be feeling a bit better next week and then I need to really push myself to get back into this properly, not only with the exercise bike but with food too. I actually wish we hadn't had Christmas as that really stopped me in my tracks when I was doing so well before hand. For weigh in on Sunday, I will be grateful not to have put anything on but I don't hold out much hope for that Confused

Bibs2014 · 26/01/2017 11:54

Wench - I am still the same weight I was before Xmas more or less. Have had something every week since Xmas, various birthdays so lots of cake. Just keep trying Smile

Half a pound off for me today. Also have afternoon tea this weekend so going to be good around it.

Started the day with a bacon sandwich Grin

triangularchocolate · 26/01/2017 16:07

Soooo I bought the dress today, the fitting will be 5 weeks tomorrow so will aim for half a stone off by then. To those struggling after Christmas, even maintaining is a triumph for January - February is short and better for getting into being healthy. That's my theory anyway!

Bibs2014 · 26/01/2017 16:24

Ooh yay for buying the dress! Are we allowed to see? Will understand if it's a no!

triangularchocolate · 26/01/2017 16:30

I don't have a picture of it - will post one from the fitting (extra incentive!!!)

Bibs2014 · 26/01/2017 20:54

I had a bacon sarnie for breakfast - post weigh in treat!

Lunch was 2 fishfingers, oven fries and baked beans

Dinner was spaghetti, meatballs, salad.

Snacked on some crackers and fruit.

SuperFlyHigh · 26/01/2017 21:03

Ugh I feel disgusting.

For past day have had muffin for breakfast, had McDs for lunch and not much else good in way of health food wise. Hula hoops etc I've eaten them! My saving grace has been I think chicken with ratatouille last night and fish cake with broccoli, sweet potato, potato, white sauce with mushrooms etc tonight.

Tomorrow it will be either lentil and tomato soup or chicken noodle soup for lunch, bread, yogurt and nectarine. Muffin for breakfast. Also got veggie crudités for snack with low fat hoummus.

Does anyone else get these sod it I don't care what I eat, it's cold etc days?!

I also don't feel like exercising much but did run a bit at lunch today (to get the bus and because it was freezing and I was in a hurry!) but it didn't feel too bad and I think I may attempt a jog Saturday. Sunday I'm at spa in late morning for 2-3 hours then will do Chinatown parade in London so that will be exercise.

Bibs2014 · 26/01/2017 21:27

I agree - it's so cold you just want comfort food!!

Wenchelda · 26/01/2017 22:35

I've had exactly one of those "sod it days" super. I'm too ashamed to list what I've eaten today (and probably couldn't even remember all of it) - let's just say it was A LOT Blush

Can't even tell myself I'll be back on it tomorrow as I'm going out for posh afternoon tea so tomorrow is likely to be another "sod it" day too.

I know I've said this before but I'm finding it much harder to get back into the swing of this since Christmas than I did when we first start. Why? I'm going to be heavier than I was in October if I carry on the way I did today.

MillieMoodle · 27/01/2017 09:33

I did ok-ish yesterday until DH suggested McD's for dinner.

Yesterday I had:

B: actimel, tea, cornflakes
L: 2 X white sesame rolls with cottage cheese, yoghurt
D: quarter pounder with cheese, medium fries and Diet Coke at McD's. And a galaxy ripple mcflurry. Oops.
S: Galaxy cake bar

I did do all the ironing yesterday though. It took hours!

Today will be much better although I think I am coming down with a cold, which I really could do without. DS2 has found his voice and has been shouting all day, every day all week. I need sleep and junk food but I will resist. Stomach is definitely looking a little bit flatter!

Bibs2014 · 27/01/2017 14:23

My menu so far:

cereal and semi skimmed milk. My usual lunch of quinoa with salad and lentils. Grapes, apple and satsumas to snack on.

God this weight loss is slow!

MillieMoodle · 27/01/2017 14:58

2 X clementines for a snack. Then a mini Mars bar, box of mini smarties and 2 X choc coins. Blush Beans on toast for lunch.

Wenchelda · 27/01/2017 19:34

I am way over my calories today (not even attempting to log them) thanks to this ..... (was totally worth it though Grin)

triangularchocolate · 27/01/2017 20:52

Oh yuuuuuuumm!!!

SuperFlyHigh · 28/01/2017 08:45

Well in the end yesterday had muffin for breakfast, soup (lentil and tomato a baxters one) and Vogel soya and linseed bread with no margarine. Also had tescos Greek yogurt with honey and nectarine. The soup was one of those which promised 3 of 5 a day and something like only 230 cals for whole can but tasted vile...

In evening had lentil pie with rice and mango chutney/Greek yogurt.

Also had 4 g&ts in pub after work, a handful of crisps and a few thick cut chips..., when home remainder of plain hula hoop rings but it wasn't much.

Walking in total was about an hour of brisk walking.

At work I keep on drinking water with squash in it as well as tea with semi skim milk. Had about 4-5 cups of that during the day and am going to try to swap some of those for green or herb/fruit tea next week.

My main thing with work is in our small office (15) when someone feels generous out comes the dark chocolate, panettone (my boss loves it) or biscuits. However they also bring round grapes, orange segments etc. I feel bad saying no to the bad stuff but am going to try to encourage more healthy fare, we all brought in dark chocolate but we all had some every day...

Pity I feel hungover today (relieved myself of some white wine last night too!) as I want to try jogging now it's less cold.

Will do a scales weigh on Monday and check in. Am 5 ft 4.5.

SuperFlyHigh · 28/01/2017 08:48

Wencheleda I do think on diets you need to give yourself off days or weeks sometimes as if you beat yourself up over it you'd never lose weight or just overeat more.

Cake mmmmm!

Ps my favourite lunch at home (no toaster at work) is avocado on Vogel soya and linseed toast with Lemon juice and black pepper - I use half an avocado, how good or bad is this? Avocado is good fat right? It tastes so nice.

MillieMoodle · 28/01/2017 09:23

Wench that looks delicious! Hope you are feeling better now?

I have succumbed to the lurgy and feel rubbish. Sore throat and bunged up nose. Had fish n chips for tea last night. Have had actimel, tea and 2 X white toast with Nutella for breakfast. Lunch will be corned beef roll and a tomato. Not sure about dinner yet.

happypoobum · 28/01/2017 11:25

11:9 today, so 18 pounds less than when I started 1 Nov.

Rate of loss has slowed to about a pound a week now but it's still positive and I have had a few treats.

Off out for lunch with friends but will drive so no alcohol, and the portions are quite small so I should be alright. I will be happy to lose a stone by Easter, but my real target is to get to 10:3 as I am a size 10 bottom, 12 top at that weight.

wench that looks lovely Grin

Notsoskinnyminny · 28/01/2017 19:17

Urgghh! I've got everyone's lurgy, my throat's scratchy and my eye's are scratchy and my nose won't stop dripping and DDs working until 9 and DH has just gone to fix the boiler at XWs house - I wouldn't mind if they had an amicable relationship but they don't so there'll be another reason why she's phoned him and not a plumber and she's 40 mins away so he's unlikely to be back to get DD and I want to go to bed NOW

Firefly hope tonight's performance goes/went well. We went to see a colleague in his show last night and I remembered how much I used to love our village performances but stopped going when DCs got older.

triangular congratulations on finding a dress

wench your afternoon tea looks delicious

Well done happy

Wenchelda · 28/01/2017 20:10

Sorry to hear a few others are suffering the lurgy now too. It's horrible. Thought I was improving as felt a bit better the last couple of days but today I'm back to feeling exhausted, head is really tender, ears are blocked and I feel like I've got a ball or something stuck in my throat as it hurts to swallow Sad needless to say another day of no exercise and crappy comfort food.

I actually had to go for a lie down this afternoon and ended up sleeping for 4 hours (!!Shock) which I never do, so shows how rough I'm feeling. And despite that long sleep, I still want to go to bed now. I've had this cold/sinus thing whatever it is for over 3 weeks now. I've had enough!

triangularchocolate · 29/01/2017 07:19

Official weigh in 13st 0.5lb which is 4.5lb off this week, 9.5lb in 4 weeks (and 18lb off since early October when we decided to get married). Officially no longer obese according to my Fitbit app (hooray) and back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Still a long way to go for me, but it's rewarding to make progress and hit milestones, though I don't think I look much different yet.
Sorry to hear the lurgy is still going around (and lingering in your case Wench). Congratulations happy on your amazing progress! Good luck to everyone else weighing in today.
