Thanks for the welcome!

So I had avocado on toast with lemon juice and black pepper for lunch, 3 digestive biscuits plus 1 chunk cheese (cathedral city lighter), 3 milk tray chocs and an orange plus roast chicken dinner (parsnip, broccoli, sweet potato, potatoes plus gravy etc. 1 X camomile tea, 3 or 4 teas with skim milk and 2 large glasses water. Walking was chatting to neighbours outside, drove to shops and 10 minute walk round them.

SuperFlyHigh · 22/01/2017 22:21

Despite my "fall backs" today I've actually not eaten eg extra stuff but did polish off some m&s plain potato sticks.

Bibs2014 · 22/01/2017 22:33

Today I had:

Weetabix, semi skimmed and chia seeds
Pasta and bacon in tomato sauce
Beef casserole
Half a slice of cheesecake, bag of crisps, pineapple

SuperFlyHigh · 23/01/2017 09:44

Morning breakfast oatsosimple Apple, raisin and blueberry porridge with skim milk, 2 X cups tea 1 with skim 1 with semi skim milk.

Lunch is cream of chicken and mushroom soup (202 cals), plus caffe Nero hummus and falafel wrap (455 cals).

Snack is red berry flapjack.

Walking is so far 15 mins briskish walk.

Bibs2014 · 23/01/2017 10:18

Shredded wheat and ss for breakfast

Lunch is lentils and rice with salad

Dinner is something with Chinese chicken

Fruit and yoghurt

Bibs2014 · 23/01/2017 10:19

*ss milk

SmellTheGlove · 24/01/2017 07:32

Still 11.13... can't get past it. Think I am premenstrual though so maybe not helping? . I'm off on holiday at Easter so that is my new incentive. New York so no bikini needed but want to look good and also pre-empt the inevitable weight gain! It's 11 weeks away and I need to lose 7 pounds. Sounds doable but at my current rate it's not going to be easy..

MillieMoodle · 24/01/2017 09:49

Back down to 11st 7lbs this morning. Was quite good yesterday! I had:

B: cornflakes, tea, actimel
L: lentil soup and 2 x wholemeal toast
D: chicken and bacon in cheesy sauce, chips, green veg
S: clementine, 2 x chocolate coins

Today have had tea, actimel and cornflakes for breakfast. Lunch will be cottage cheese and crackerbread. Dinner will probably be stir fry. Am trying to forgo the snacks but do have a hot chocolate sachet to have if I'm desperate!

Smell New York sounds amazing! I would love to go there one day. Have you been before?

My work have said it's fine for me to go back in Sept, so we will probably go away somewhere in August. So I need to be much lighter by then! Feeling much more motivated now that I have a proper return to work date sorted. Like I can plan properly for the next few months.

SuperFlyHigh · 24/01/2017 10:21

Need to weigh myself...

Last night had chicken ratatouille with basmati rice for dinner, 1 x redoxon Orange drink. 1 x camomile tea and large glass water. Also a quarter pack of twiglets and some (6?) cadburys mini eggs.

This morning 2 x digestive biscuits, 3 x cups tea skim milk, Vogel soya and linseed toast with marmite and peanut butter, twiglets (handful) and about mini eggs.

In bed with a sort of migraine/cold.

Does water with squash count as ok for water content and provided it's low calorie or not much?

Wenchelda · 24/01/2017 10:45

Sorry been awol for a day or 2 but urgh, I am feeling truly shocking. I think my cold is actually getting worse, not better, despite me hitting it with 4 hourly doses of
Beechams for the last 2 days. I'm so congested I can't breath - even the decongestant spray that normally works wonders has stopped having any effect. It's horrible.

I've been over my calories last 2 days. I'm really struggling. Needless to say I haven't been on my exercise bike either Blush Can't get back into it and this cold isn't helping. Plus DH (recently started MFP) has now lost 12lb in 2 weeks which makes me feel shit as it's taken me 12 weeks to lose the same amount (though to be fair he is a LOT bigger than me so I guess it's not unusual for someone of his size to lose a big amount in the first couple of weeks please make me feel better by telling me that's true) Envy

MillieMoodle · 24/01/2017 10:50

Wench sorry to hear you are still feeling rubbish. Have you maybe got sinusitis? If so it might be worth a trip to the docs for some antibiotics? Flowers for you, hope you are feeling much better soon. And CakeCake for your DH. He has no business losing that much weight in 2 weeks. Angry

triangularchocolate · 24/01/2017 11:38

Ah Wench it's depressing when guys seem to find it easy to lose weight! He won't keep that rate up though, or at least not if he's doing it healthily and sustainably. Hope you're feeling better soon. Just worry about getting well for now.
A trip to New York is a good motivator but the food there is hard to resist!!
I'm plodding along this week - back to cereal and soup for a few days - hopefully can stick at it!

Wenchelda · 24/01/2017 12:03

Millie I've just googled symptoms of sinusitis and it sounds entirely possible that that is what I've got. It also says it normally clears up itself within 2-3 weeks so I will see how I go for another few days. TBH I don't have the energy to try and get a gp appointment. I was also using decongestant spray last week and I know if you use that for too long it can actually make the congestion worse so I think that may be why it's so bad now. I think I will just have to suffer this for a couple of days and then hopefully it will improve. If it's not any better by the end of the week, I will see someone. When I have a cold my eyes always water too, so I look like I'm walking around crying. It's not a good look Sad

FireflyGirl · 24/01/2017 14:36

Another one here joining the 'lurgy club' Sad And for me, it goes straight into my sinuses so my cheeks are throbbing!

I started with it yesterday and am already falling off the wagon food wise - I have absolutely no desire to eat salad! And I don't eat soup anyway, so that's out.

I am determined not to backtrack this week, though, especially as I won't be making my usual gym classes.

Less than a pound a week, Smell, you can definitely do it. Have you done a meal plan for this week? Might that help? (I'm not obsessed, I promise, I just always find it useful myself)

Yey for the loss, Millie, and the date to return. At least you can organise everything around that now.

Super I only drink soft drinks, and try to just drink water during the day and then squash with/after tea. Could that work? I don't like water but will drink it cold from the fridge. To be honest, though, from a weight perspective unless you're drinking a litre bottle of cordial a day I don't think it makes too much difference to weight loss.

Wench people with more to lose tend to lose a lot at the start of their weight loss, and men lose quicker than women as well. Hope that makes you feel a bit better? I will join you in jealously kicking him in the shins, though Grin

triangular well done on your plodding - how long have you got left now?

SuperFlyHigh · 24/01/2017 16:02

Oh heck I've got lurgy too... Bad head cold... Sad

Also feel down re work which equals overeating, polished off big bag twiglets, more mini eggs... But had half avocado on soya and linseed toast for lunch and a few cups of tea plus 2 camomile.

Haven't overeaten as much as I'd thought really...

SmellTheGlove · 24/01/2017 16:33

Today I have eaten
B: small porridge with half water/half milk, tsp sugar
L: crusty roll, lighter butter, bag 'baked' crisps, cucumber, toms.
Snacks: 2 creme eggs, 2 club biscuits, tube fruit pastilles. I mean SERIOUSLY!???? WTF???? I have NO self control Angry

MillieMoodle · 24/01/2017 17:00

Today I have had actimel, tea and cornflakes for breakfast, cottage cheese and crackerbread for lunch and a clementine for a snack. I am feeling Halo for the first time in a loooong time. Am hoping I don't get the lurgy as then it will all go to shit. It's burgers for dinner with chips and salad. It was meant to be stir fry but the burger buns will go off if we don't eat them tonight.

Brew and Flowers for all you ill ones. Hope you're all feeling better soon.

triangularchocolate · 24/01/2017 18:26

Get well soon to all those who are suffering! I've got 7.5 weeks until the wedding and not found a dress yet - tried more on today but they weren't a good look. Oh well - I'll find something!!

FireflyGirl · 24/01/2017 22:51

Well, I haven't done too badly today, considering. I'm under my calories, but only because I took the dog for a n amble walk earlier so earned some back.

B: English muffin with butter and an apple
L : bread and hummous, chocolate mini weetabix
T : Chicken with rice, Nando sauce and salad.
S : carrot sticks, half an apple and a pear. There's nearly 100 cals in a pear, though. I was Shock! I could have had a small chocolate bar for that. Didn't though Halo

Notsoskinnyminny · 25/01/2017 07:29

Get well soon everyone with the lurgy. Thankfully I didn't end up with the dreaded sinusitis after - I always think that's worse than the initial cold.

Triangular what are you like - have you any idea of what style you want?

Food wise I've been good. I've found not having breakfast stops me feeling hungry midmorning and I've been having a bigger lunch instead. Time will tell if it works but midweek weigh in was 1lb down.

Have a good day everyone.

MillieMoodle · 25/01/2017 07:57

Had a good day yesterday but still weigh the same this morning. I think I was expecting dramatic half-a-stone weight loss because I stayed away from the chocolate for one day Hmm.

Haven't got much planned today but food wise:

B: actimel, tea and cornflakes
L: crackerbread and cottage cheese
D: pork stir fry and noodles

Snacks (if any) can be clementine, banana or yoghurt.

Wenchelda · 25/01/2017 09:14

I think I was expecting dramatic half-a-stone weight loss because I stayed away from the chocolate for one day

^^ lol, millie ... that is exactly how I feel! Expecting miracles from one day of being good. If only it worked like that, eh?

Terrible night last night - my sinuses were so blocked I felt like my whole nose/ears/throat were packed with concrete and not a scrap of air was getting through. It was actually really scary and I started really panicking that I wouldn't be able to breathe at all (I have health anxiety issues anyway which really did not help). Anyway I am at the Drs now waiting to be seen so hopefully she can prescribe something to help me.

Only had a banana and cup of tea so far today.

MillieMoodle · 25/01/2017 09:26

Wench I hope the doc can give you something to help. It's the worst when you can't breathe properly Sad Brew and (low cal, fat free) Cake for you. Can you put your feet up for the rest of the day?

I really wish weight loss was as simple as a couple of days of cutting out chocolate! I keep repeating to myself "only I am stopping myself from losing weight" and it seems to be helping with the motivation so far. It's only me that can do anything about losing weight so I've got to get on with it! It helps that we're down to the dregs of the Christmas goodies now, so there's nothing I really fancy snacking on!

Wenchelda · 25/01/2017 10:05

Dr gave me a steroid nasal spray and some antihistamine tablets to reduce the inflammation in my sinuses. Said it wasn't bad enough for antibiotics. Hopefully these will help. I've got loads of housework jobs that need doing but I think after so little sleep last night I do need to rest. Doing nothing is not something I find easy (particularly when I know there's so much to do) but I think I need to force myself to relax today. It's the advice I'd give anyone else. Plus tomorrow I have nothing planned so all the jobs can get done then.

Just had some egg and toast with a coffee. Got some leftover soup in the fridge so that will be lunch and decided to treat the kids by making burgers and potato wedges for dinner tonight.

triangularchocolate · 25/01/2017 10:21

Notso I've been having late breakfasts and skipping lunch and when I can stick to it it works quite well. Re dresses, I wanted something quite plain without a train and either proper sleeves or strapless with a bolero as I don't want my arms out. I'm 5ft6 and very chunky (technically still obese) and the only dresses that have looked vaguely flattering are the lace up at the back ones but they all seem to have massive skirts and trains and look a bit fairy-ish. I'm getting married in a pub and will have the baby with me so wanted something simple / practical! I left it so late as I was convinced I'd lose more weight than I have - oops! Got a few more places to visit this week so fingers crossed!
