Wow triangular - 4.5lb off this week is fantastic! Well done Grin

Another disappointing (though hardly surprising) result on my scales this morning - 10st 2.5... which is actually quarter of a lb more than last week Blush I know I've hardly stuck to my calories but tbh I was secretly hopeful as my midweek weigh in had me at 10st 1. However I can only blame myself, thanks to afternoon tea on Friday and comfort eating the rest of the week due to being ill.

I'm not happy though Angry

triangularchocolate · 29/01/2017 08:33

A couple of this week's lbs were last week's TOTM lbs but over 4 weeks if seems to be steady progress!

lokisglowstickofdestiny1 · 29/01/2017 09:53

Well done to all you losers! I've managed to lose a bit this week, down to 68.9kg. I hope all of you suffering with the lurgy are starting to feel better.

MillieMoodle · 29/01/2017 09:53

Wow! Well done triangular, that's fab!

I've not weighed myself yet. Had a bloody awful night's sleep. My nose was bunged up, DS2 is full of cold as well, as is DH. You would think DH is the only person to ever be ill. Anyway, he insisted on sleeping with the radio on all night, which disturbed DS2 who woke at 4.30am, which meant I had to get up to get his bottle while DH pretend to be asleep. I pointed out that he only ever wakes in the night when the bloody radio is on, only to be told to fuck off. So I am not in the best of moods as I don't appreciate being told to fuck off. DS2 and I slept downstairs for a bit but I feel exhausted. And am very grumpy. And now DH is grumpy because I don't want to talk to him. It's going to be a looooong day.

But yesterday was ok food wise.
L: 2 X white crusty rolls with corned beef, tomato
D: cornflakes
S: pain au chocolate.

This morning have had actimel, tea and 2 X white toast with Nutella. Not sure what's for lunch or dinner yet.

Notsoskinnyminny · 29/01/2017 11:21

Well done triangular

Millie that's shit, I'm angry for you, sending you a big Bear hug - when did that emoji appear??

I'm 2lbs down so 9st 4.5, would love to lose the 4.5 before my personal shopping day in 2 wks. I've not had my nails done since xmas as my usual lady is on maternity leave and everyone else is crap and my nails are ruined so I'm going to add the £100 I would've paid to my shopping fund.

Time for a coffee before I tackle my coursework - its due in next week so no time for any more procrastination but god its boring and I hate writing crap just to tick a box!

MillieMoodle · 29/01/2017 11:55

Thanks Notso and well done on the loss Smile

Have weighed myself and am still hanging in there at 11st 7lbs. I think if I'm really sensible this week I can get down another couple of pounds by next week . We shall see!

Ice3 · 29/01/2017 14:18

I'm not ready to join again but wanted to sneak on quickly and say congrats on the weight loss everyone.

Notsoskinnyminny · 29/01/2017 15:20

Ice you don't have to sneak in, I'm sure everyone will agree you should pop in whenever you fancy a natter Smile In the meantime I make you our designated cheerleader Grin

SmellTheGlove · 29/01/2017 19:07

I am REALLY FUCKING HUNGRY. Sorry. As you were.

SuperFlyHigh · 30/01/2017 18:39

Ok. So Saturday morning had another muffin can't recall what lunch was but think it was laughing cow blue cheese triangles on toast with crudités. Plus large raspberry jelly (hartleys). In evening had steak, gravy, potatoes and broccoli and carrots plus baked apple with vanilla ice cream. Plus water, tea and camomile.

Sunday had another muffin for breakfast and veg quiche for lunch and shared tortillas with dips and had shared cheese nachos with dips also when out. Also had beef in oyster sauce and veggies plus pork dumplings x 3. Walked I think an hour or 1.5 hours Sunday. Camomile tea and water and tea (but 3 teas and jasmine tea).

Today had marmite and toast (Vogel soya and linseed) and flora proactive breakfast. 2 teas skim milk. 1 tin Heinz cream of tomato soup plus 1x full fat m&s strawberry yogurt and almost whole bag ritz salt n vinegar cracker crisps. Plus 1 X Vogel soya linseed and half fat butter and 1 segment orange. Don't feel as bad as I should... Exercise has been about 45 mins walking. Will weigh in either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Wenchelda · 30/01/2017 18:49

Did 5k on my exercise bike this morning for first time in ages. It felt good! I've also done nearly 13k steps today and walked over 5 miles according to my Fitbit.

Also under my calories today ; food has been :

B - 2 hard boiled eggs, tomatoes, tea
S - flavoured coffee
L- ham & tomato toastie with salad, caramel shortbread, tea
D - chicken, new potatoes, peas, carrots, broccoli
S - hot chocolate at bedtime.

Feeling positive about this for the first time in ages! Smile

SmellTheGlove · 31/01/2017 07:29

Official weigh in today and a pound down so 11.12(and a half). Six pounds to go and 11 weeks til holiday. Tried on skinny jeans in H&M on Sunday and was torn between being pleased that they didn't look too awful and disappointed that they didn't look better! wench I'm glad you feel motivated again, I'm struggling with that! People eating 1300 or less how are you not hungry??? I'm seriously starving most of the time on 1400, especially if I walk a lot. I went to bed hungry last night and woke up hungry today. I'll be hallucinating doughnuts like Homer Simpson soon!

Wenchelda · 31/01/2017 09:44

I couldn't manage on 1300 cals. My limit is 1400, which ups to 1500 when I do my exercise bike and "earn" an extra 100 cals. MFP wanted to set my limit at 1200 but I couldn't stick to that and was going over It every day without fail so I changed it myself to 1400 which is much more realistic for me.

5k on my bike again this morning. Just had a late(ish) breakfast of two slices of seeded toast with butter and an egg, and some tea. Not sure what lunch will be yet. Dinner is going to be jacket potatoes with prawn mayonnaise :-)

SmellTheGlove · 31/01/2017 10:18

snap wench. MFP said 1330 to lose a pound a week, but I cant hack that! so I'm 1400 too. still hungry though! no so much during the day, but definitely at bedtime and in the morning. I could never do a fasting type diet!
breakfast today porridge with water, mid morning snack 2 gluten free crispbreads (not dissimilar to eating cardboard) with scraping no sugar peanut butter. sigh. I do always have some chocolate after dinner otherwise life would be unbearable Shock

MillieMoodle · 31/01/2017 18:08

MFP allowed me 1,320 but I've upped it to 1,400 as I was struggling with so little.

Not been a very good day today, have had a doughnut and a muffin from M&S Blush They were delicious though!

Have had a couple of days of feeling really low which came from nowhere, but am feeling much more like myself today and ready to get back on it properly tomorrow. Have picked up some holiday brochures today as we're hoping to go away in August so I seriously need to get my act together and lose at least a stone before that! Come on, we can do this!

triangularchocolate · 31/01/2017 18:43

It's normal to get fed up after a day while of healthy eating so I just try some damage limitation the next day and then crack on. I'm still trying to do cereal and soup or salad but the odd (packet of) biscuit(s) and chocolate treats are sneaking in. Still trying to manage the treats to keep low cal. Got a few nights out coming up and they are already terrible for me! And now I have a dress that fits I keep swinging between no motivation to lose any more and wanting to look my best for the fitting. Aargh!

FireflyGirl · 01/02/2017 15:46

Sorry for being awol. Between performances and being ill, I've not had chance to keep up with the thread. Or weigh in, which I'm a bit disappointed about. I haven't lost motivation, though, luckily.

I've started (yesterday, so only on day 2) doing the hiit videos by Joe Wicks - he of lean in 15 fame. I'm finding them easy to fit into the day - in theory while DS naps, but he woke up after 10 minutes today thanks to this flaming cough left over from the lurgy so I sat him on the couch while I finished and he watched in awed silence. Then tried to join in the cool down stretches, which was very cute.

I went over my calories a few days last week, but I was expecting to, particularly on Saturday when I had fish and chips. That's the first takeaway I've had since we started at the beginning of November, and it was gorgeous. I definitely noticed that I got full more quickly than I used to. I also am not hungry generally, despite cutting down my portion sizes by about 1/3, which is very interesting.

MFP gives me 1460 calories a day, despite me being short. I generally manage to stay under, but still eat too much chocolate.

Wenchelda · 01/02/2017 16:05

Day 3 of sticking to my exercise bike after such a long break of not getting back in the habit. Though I felt like I was on half speed or something today - it seemed to take forever to reach 5k!

I will be slightly over on my cals today thanks to DH currently cooking chicken korma for dinner. I could probably just about stay within my allowance if I don't have any naan bread or poppadoms but I don't think I have that much willpower! I will only have a small piece of naan though, and the poppadoms are only something like 38 cals each so that's not too bad.

Other food today has been -

B - 1 slice of seeded toast, scrambled egg, beans, tea
S - flavoured latte
L - fruit salad of kiwi, apple, strawberries and grapes with fromage frais on top, tea
D - chicken korma
S - hot choc at bedtime.

I feel like I'm finally getting back into the rhythm of this again. Finally! Let's hope the scales start to reflect that after a few weeks of barely moving Smile

SmellTheGlove · 01/02/2017 17:41

well I was happy to see that I'd finally lost another pound this morning, taking me to 11.11 and three quarters, but unfortunately I have already gone over my calories and its only 5.30pm! blame a boring meeting and a tin full of chocolate biscuits for that one. Still, I'm going to have small dinner so hopefully will still only be 300 or so cals over...firefly well done on the videos - I tried doing a youtube workout last week purely because I thought it might warm me up! I find them really boring though so don't stick at them. Or they just annoy me with all that enthusiasm and motivation and I keep swearing at the tv.

FireflyGirl · 01/02/2017 19:21

That's why I like the hiit ones, Smell - less time to get bored! And he is actually doing the workout and puffing along, so he's not that annoying either. I am only on day 2, though...

Tomorrow I have a hiit class and I'm going to try to do another video on Friday, Saturday I have Zumba and then I'll be buggered if I'm going to work out on Sunday!

Glad to hear you're back with it Wench. Life is about enjoying food as well, so you have your poppadoms; you've earned them!

Today I've had :
B : 2 slices of toast with butter
L : falafel with hummous and salad with feta
T : mexican pulled chicken burger with sweet potato wedges and chipotle slaw
Snacks: apple slices with almond butter and 3 small chocolates.
I'm under my calorie allowance, even before exercise, so I'm pleased with that.

MillieMoodle · 01/02/2017 23:45

Just a quick update from me today!

B: actimel, tea, cornflakes
L: out for lunch! Tuna mayo sandwich on brown seeded bread with melted cheese and some tortilla chips. Latte.
D: chicken Rohan josh with wholegrain rice, small naan and a poppadom.
S: latte and 2 digestive biscuits

Not too bad today!

Bibs2014 · 02/02/2017 10:48

My DS has broken my phone – grrrrr! So I can only access mumsnet on the computer which isn’t as convenient!

Was away Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Tuesday on track.
Yesterday on track.

Today’s menu:

Cereal and semi skimmed milk, lentils, quinoa and salad for lunch, quesadillas for dinner, fruit and crisps for snacks.

Wenchelda · 02/02/2017 13:22

Aargh! I just spent AGES preparing cheesy vegetable nuggets ready to pop in the oven for dinner later and I've just realised I forgot to put any bloody cheese in them Angry They are all shaped, on greased trays and wrapped in cling film in the fridge ... I could squish them all up and add the cheese then make them all again but I don't really have time and I can't be bothered. No idea what they will taste like now. We've had them before with cheese in and they are yummy. But these ones are just peas, carrot, courgette, broccoli and pepper (basically all the bits of random veg I could find) with a bit of olive oil squished into ball shapes Confused

I'm going to have to find fine to redo them, aren't I?

Wenchelda · 02/02/2017 13:24

find time, obviously. Stupid phone.

triangularchocolate · 02/02/2017 17:43

They sound ok to me Wench - just grate some cheese over them when they're cooked :)
