It's better to have a goal, triangular, and if you don't aim for what you want, you definitely won't get there!

Well done Bibs, Halo for you

That looks awful, Wench. I'm sorry I made you eat chocolate Blush no more pics, I promise!

Smell I'm 5'2 - a bit of a short arse but hardly toddler-sized! I also have big boobs, but a tiny waist - at 9'7 I had a smaller waist than Victoria Beckham. Not since having DS, however!

lapin I still plan to weigh in on a Sunday morning, that is what works for me as I go swimming with DS.

Today's menu has been:
B : Daim bars, terrys chocolate orange and 2 oatcakes
L : salad with feta, bread and hummous
T : Nandos chicken, wild rice, asparagus and salad with balsamic vinegar
I'm under my calories for the day, but I haven't used them wisely ie having chocolate for breakfast.

I have concluded I cannot be trusted with the mountain of chocolate, and it is going into the garage tomorrow.

notso I went to Venice last year & also managed over 20000 steps a day, must have been amazing for new year.
Restart weight is 10.7, yesterday was boiled egg & 1 piece granary toast, beef salad sandwich, ham chowder, cheese & bics, piece of fruit cake. Not great but still using up odds & ends. Steps were around 8000.

lokisglowstickofdestiny1 · 04/01/2017 09:19

Good morning all, welcome to the joiners!
First fast day yesterday, was alright actually, kept to 500 cals. Cheesy scambled egg for breakfast will see me through until dinner.
Firefly, how tall are you. I'm just over 5'2" and my ideal weight range is about 7.10 to 9.7. I remember (a long time ago) being 8st and I wasn't thin - I have a small frame - tiny wrists - so sub 8st isn't unrealistic for me - I'm not aiming that low now though, I think I'd look gaunt now as I'm older.

I took all the remaining Christmas goodies into work - we have a tuck tin. Off to have my hair done now - good opportunity to read a load of trashy magazines!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 04/01/2017 09:39

Morning all,

No bike for me today as leg is really sore any excuse will do at the moment

Just had a not-great (but yummy) breakfast of cheese and bacon sandwich and a flavoured coffee. Hoping to not need lunch as breakfast was late and 600 calories.
Not sure what dinner will be yet.

Really struggling to get back into this :-(

MillieMoodle · 04/01/2017 10:50

Ouch Wench your leg looks really sore. Hope it heals quickly. I'm struggling to get back into it a bit too.

I'm hoping it will be easier from today as the shopping was delivered yesterday evening so we have proper food to eat again! Also DS1 is back at school tomorrow so I'll hopefully get into a routine again.

Yesterday dinner was half a medium dominos cheese and tomato pizza, half a cheesy garlic bread and 3 chicken strips. Plus a glass of wine. Also had a couple of biscuits throughout the day.

Today I've had cornflakes, tea and actimel for breakfast. Lunch will be cheese salad sandwich on brown bread. Dinner will be chicken and edamame stir fry with Singapore noodles.

FireflyGirl · 04/01/2017 12:06

Wench do you think it might help you get back into the swing of it if you did a meal plan for the rest of the week?

loki I'm just under 5'2, but I am very curvy and carry my weight well - I was a size 8/10 at 9 stone 7. That's why I don't think 7 stone anything would be a good weight for me!

OP posts:
GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 04/01/2017 12:57

firefly it probably would help to meal plan. I've got meat in the freezer but not a lot to go with it but am planning a big shop tomorrow so should have lots of lovely healthy but yummy food again.

Problem at the moment is my cupboards are bare but I don't want to go out and get all the food shopping until the house is reasonably straight and tidy after all the Christmas chaos. I can't be doing with a hallway full of grocery bags to be out away at the same time as everything else. I am halfway through day 2 of solid sorting / tidying / putting stuff away and it's finally looking like some sort of normality is being restored. Hoping to finish off this afternoon.

Just had Christmas chocolate and a cup of tea to give me an energy boost and because I have no willpower when I know there's so much chocolate in the house Blush

Bibs2014 · 04/01/2017 18:19

Back to work today so busy!

Menu
Weetabix and semi skimmed milk
Leftover chilli and quinoa with salad
Chicken, rice and mixed veg for dinner.
Snacked on a couple of sweets today and an apple.

Notsoskinnyminny · 04/01/2017 18:46

So much for the back to work good intentions - came home to find DH has made a mountain of roasties and honey roasted carrots to go with the chicken I'd put in the slow cooker this morning - there may will be Wine

Ready this was our second NYE in Venice. The fireworks were amazing this year and the music meant people didn't head home as soon as they finished as they did the first time we went.

wench that looks really sore

FireflyGirl · 04/01/2017 21:58

Today's food was good
B : wholemeal toast with butter and an apple
L : Chicken salad with feta and stuffed cherry peppers
T : beef massaman curry with rice
Then I blew it completely with peanut m&ms! I need to woman up and get rid of all that chocolate and stop fannying about.

OP posts:
Ice3 · 04/01/2017 22:19

I'm self medicating with cheese and onion Mini Cheddars still.

readyforsunshine · 05/01/2017 06:46

Yesterday was Greek yog & honey, ham chowder & piece of granary bread, white marmite sandwich, few nachos, beer, 2 beef fajitas & small piece of Dds lemon roulade. I'm easing myself back inHmm on the positive side I managed to fit in a monster dog walk so walked around 12000 steps.

Bibs2014 · 05/01/2017 08:45

I'm doing no crisps and no chocolate in January which is the only reason I'm able to resist choc, firefly!

Weetabix and SS milk

Beef and bean chilli, brown rice and quinoa mix, salad

Chicken and something for dinner.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 05/01/2017 10:15

Morning all,

Only just having my breakfast in Costa - skinny flavoured latte and brown toast (costa toast is the best Wink) then after this I'm off to the supermarket to get some much needed shopping; which also means I will have lots of tasty good food to eat and can keep away from the Christmas chocolate!

Still not been back on my exercise bike yet, but I'll be cycling to and from work for the next 2 days so will start the exercise bike again from Monday. I guess my Sunday morning weigh in will either be same as last week and encourage me keep at it, or I'll have put weight on and it will shock me in to action!

How's everyone else doing? Millie have you managed your exercise bike yet? (In all my days of doing it before Xmas, I still never came close to your time of 5k in 11minutes! Have you filled in your application for the olympics speed race yet?! WinkGrin)

MillieMoodle · 05/01/2017 12:45

Morning all

Breakfast today was actimel, tea and 2 slices of wholemeal toast with butter after school drop off and a quick trip to Tesco. I find that eating later means I don't snack in the morning at all, especially if I'm busy!

Lunch has been 2 slices of wholemeal toast with butter and marmite and a cup of tea. Am putting the Xmas decs away so wanted something quick as want to get as much as possible done before I need to collect DS1 from school.

Dinner will be omelette, wedges and salad.

Wench I haven't been back on the exercise bike yet Blush but once the Xmas decs are away in the garage there will be no further excuse (all the boxes are filling the conservatory at the moment so there's no space to get the bike out really Hmmor something like that!). I'll try and re-start tonight!

readyforsunshine · 06/01/2017 07:17

millie I often have late bfast for same reason if it's practical.
Yesterday was scrambled eggs piece of granary toast, veg soup piece of granary bread, piece of fruitcake, mac cheese with brocoli & tomatoes. Only managed about 7000 steps.

triangularchocolate · 06/01/2017 11:53

I've had a cheeky weigh in this morning and I am 3lb down after 5 days on cereal and soup. It's a good start but I will need to start exercising as I can't do several weeks on soup! Plus I have a family meal tonight so will have to be careful this weekend!

FireflyGirl · 06/01/2017 21:42

Sorry for not checking in - I've had norovirus round 2! Shock My stomach is agony, all I've been able to keep down is hula hoops and bread Confused

Not holding out much hope for a loss this week.

I didn't make the gym last night, and I don't know if I'll make tomorrow! Grr!

I will be straight back on it as soon as my stomach stops churning!

OP posts:
Bibs2014 · 06/01/2017 21:49

Yesterday I succumbed to snacksConfused. 2 bags of mini cheddars and a biscuit but redeemed myself by having a fruit salad.

Today's menu

Weetabix and semi skimmed milk

Lunch was flavoured rice, salad, mugshot

Dinner was pasta bake.

Also had a bag of mini cheddars and a teeny pot of rice pudding.

MillieMoodle · 06/01/2017 22:29

Evening all. Have had a disgraceful day I'm sorry to say. Started off ok with cornflakes, actimel and tea. Lunch was 1/3 tin of baked beans on two slices of wholemeal toast.

The afternoon and evening went completely to shit. I'll write it out even though I am very embarrassed. Hopefully seeing it in black and white will be enough to stop me doing it again. Here goes Blush - one bag of ready salted crisps, handful of mini cheddars and twiglets, 5 Jaffa cakes, a thorntons chocolate, a Belgian biscuit, a Cadbury tree chocolate, a Mars cake bar, and couple of chocolate orange segments, dinner was a Chinese takeaway (lemon chicken, egg fried rice and chilli salt chicken wings - although I didn't actually eat very much of it) and a glass of JD and full fat Coke. I daren't put it all in MFP Shock

On the plus side, I feel sick and have finally realised that I do actually feel a lot better and have a lot more energy when I don't overeat and stuff my face with junk food. So I am back on it properly tomorrow. And I mean it this time. I feel yuck and bloated and wobbly this evening and that isn't how I want to feel!

Hope you've all had better days than me and I am fully prepared to be told off!

AdoraBell · 06/01/2017 23:11

I fell off the thread. Sorry peeps. Lost a dog just before Christmas, run over, and a second severely injured so my chocolate consumption went through the roof. I now weigh more than before we started.

Anyway, congrats to those who have lost weight 👊

I've started back at Pilates and changed food shopping. New year, new habits. Walking most days, it's only 4km to town and back but that's better than sitting in the sofa.

Bibs2014 · 07/01/2017 00:10

Welcome back Adora. Sorry to hear about your dogs Flowers. I rejoined again fatter then when I started so don't worry about it, we'll do it together Smile

Millie - that afternoon of food sounds great! But I know what you mean about feeling much better when you stick with it so draw a line and get back on it tomorrow.

I felt hungry so had a bowl of butternut squash soup rather than succumb to biscuits!

Bibs2014 · 07/01/2017 00:11

Feel better soon Firefly!

MillieMoodle · 07/01/2017 07:15

Thanks Bibs. Today will be a better day, although DS2 has not slept at all overnight so I'm exhausted. He's just dozed off now! Aargh!

Firefly hope you're feeling better soon, norovirus x 1 is bad enough but to have it twice in such a short space of time is really horrible. Flowers

Adora sorry to hear about your dogs. I hope injured dog is recovering well?

Breakfast today will be actimel, tea and cornflakes. Lunch will probably be soup. Dinner will be pork chops, oven chips and veg.

SmellTheGlove · 07/01/2017 08:20

Millie I quite often eat the sort of things that when I log them I'm expecting MFP to tell me off - ' half a chocolate orange? For DINNER? WTF'. I think that would be quite helpful actually! I ate loads of little bits of crap yesterday but mostly okay and stuck to my cals. I also think being so bloody freezing is burning up calories! adora so sorry to hear about your doggy. It's very hard to be watching what you eat when things are not going well. I'm a very emotional eater and I think the only reason I'm doing okay is that my life is currently fairly calm...
