Welcome triangular!

Bibs I had a shortbread biscuit too. But only one! And a glass of wine.

I was over on my calories yesterday

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 02/01/2017 08:45

I did ok for meals yesterday but was then given a late Xmas present of Ferrero Rocher so that was my calorie allowance out the window Blush

Knackered this morning too so not doing exercise bike either.

DCs back to school tomorrow so hopefully can get back into my routine properly x

MillieMoodle · 02/01/2017 08:46

Oops posted too soon!

Was over on my calories yesterday and didn't do anywhere near 10,000 steps or the 5k on my bike. Also had an upset stomach and horrible period pain (again) so wasn't really in a good frame of mind.

I am starting properly today! DH is back at work properly now so we are starting to return to normality. I've enjoyed Christmas but glad things are getting back to normal now. DS1 has been over excited for about a month!

Bibs2014 · 02/01/2017 17:29

Welcome triangular!

Menu today:

Egg, 1 slice wholemeal toast, skinny latte

Lunch was a happy meal - was the only option at the retail park, honest!

Chicken curry, brown rice, salad for dinner.

Have snacked on Apple and a satsuma.

I need to get back to following SW 100% cause it really works.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 02/01/2017 17:55

Too much chocolate again today Blush damn you yummy Christmas food

Did go for a big hill walk today and have burnt 1600 calories according to my Fitbit so I guess that counteracts some of it.

I think I need to give away all left over Christmas snacks so I'm not tempted.

MillieMoodle · 02/01/2017 21:14

Glad it's not just me who's struggling a bit with all the Christmas goodies still!

Breakfast was cornflakes and tea. Lunch was prawn cocktail with a wholemeal roll. Dinner was crispy duck pancakes from the Chinese takeaway Blush snacks have been a biscuit and two thorntons chocs. And a glass of wine. Step count nowhere near 10,000 and haven't been on the bike yet as I've done something to my shoulder which is very painful!

SmellTheGlove · 03/01/2017 07:44

Right let's see how quickly these extra pounds come off. 12.1 and a half today, so that's 3lbs on since before Xmas. Didn't even go put yesterday so barely any steps but I did stick to my cals. DH starts a new job today and will be staying away Tues to Thurs from now on so feeling a bit weird about being on my own ( with DS ). It'll probably help with losing weight though as I don't really bother with dinner when he's not here. Good luck everyone getting back on the wagon!

Bibs2014 · 03/01/2017 10:08

I had a couple of biscuits and some pineapple last night.

Today's breakfast is 1 slice wholemeal toast with scrambled egg.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 03/01/2017 10:30

I'm almost wishing we hadn't had Christmas - I'd really got into the swing of logging everything on MFP, exercising 6 days a week and was making good progress. Now a week off has left me out of the habit and I feel like I'm almost starting again with regards to adjusting my mindset and getting used to eating better. It would be all too easy to not get back into it. I guess i just have to accept Its going to be hard for a week or 2 until I get back to it properly.

Was really aching this morning after yesterday's hill walk so didn't do my exercise bike. Have had 2 slices of seeded toast with peanut butter for breakfast. Really need to go shopping as there's not much good food in the house so that's not helping. Not sure what lunch will be but dinner is bolognese.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 03/01/2017 10:32

Oh and DCs are back at school today Grinhallelujah so I'm blitzing the house of all the Christmas mess which will hopefully burn lots of calories!

FireflyGirl · 03/01/2017 12:08

Happy new year everyone!

Went to the gym this morning specifically just to get weighed on their scales. The receptionist looked at me like I was a bit mad Blush when I walked in then more or less straight back out...

I was very pleased though - after 2 weeks of overindulgence, including 2 days of DstepMIL's delicious cooking and puddings (she makes the world's largest lemon meringue pie!) I have put on just over half a pound Shock. I can cope with that!

So, starting the New Year at 11 stone 2.2, down a total of 10lb from when we started at the beginning of November. This is all due to the support and accountability of this thread, so thank you everyone.

I went back and re-read the first thread for some motivation and inspiration, and am now back on it with logging on MFP/meal planning/exercising. I'm also hoping now to download The Walk and use that to motivate me to do more general walking.

I also need to make a decision about all the Christmas chocolate I was bought (picture attached) - put it in the garage or give it away. I think I might try putting it in the garage and seeing how my self control holds out. Other Christmas food was bought for a specific purpose, ie a buffet, and was eaten then or given away so it's just the chocolate left to tempt me now. Oh, and a tub of Twiglets Grin

I'm a bit jealous of your post-Christmas blitz, Wench. I'm dying to take the decorations down and give the house a proper clean, but I won't get chance until Friday. #saddo Glad your back's better - just be careful not to overdo it! You'll soon get back into the swing of it - you managed to change your habits before Christmas, so you can get back to them now!

Well done on the loss, Ice, and getting back on it so well!

Smell you could try new things when DH is away? We're here if you need company. And congratulations on your slinky dress!

Bibs glad you've got a plan you're happy with for the month. Also jealous of your nap - I'm lucky if DS sleeps that long, and it takes me a while to settle so even if I try to nap with him I only get about 45 mins.

How's your shoulder today, Millie? Better I hope.

Welcome triangular. To reach your goal in 10 weeks, you're looking at about 2.5lbs a week. Have you signed up to MFP? That might help give you an idea of how to get there - it gives you a forecast for the future.

Well done for not giving up, lapin. That must have been disappointing for you, but I'm glad you've not left us!

How did yesterday go for you, loki?

Have you managed to get back on it yet, happy?

How was Venice, Notso?

zizza Scarzo and wejammin have you rejoined us yet?

Firefly all that chocolate Shock! We have almost eaten the Christmas chocolate - no one actually bought us any, although we had a couple of tons of biscuits. Pretty much everything that's left is DS1's so I am rationing it for him. I haven't eaten any of it yet!

Shoulder is still painful, haven't a clue what I've done.

Have got the Tesco shopping being delivered this evening so back to normal food for us now. DS1 is back to school on Thursday. Heaven knows how I'm going to get up and out the door in time. We've had two weeks of lazy mornings and it's been bliss! Although once it's just me and DS2 in the house, and the routine is back, I'm hoping it will be easier to eat less and move more. Plus we are starting baby swimming on Monday Grin

Christmas tree is still up here until Friday but I am gradually removing other bits today - cards, Christmas tablecloth and such like and trying to restore a bit of order!

Breakfast today was tea and cornflakes. Lunch was two slices of white toast with Nutella Blush dinner is as yet unknown.

readyforsunshine · 03/01/2017 13:03

Happy new year everybody & well done for sticking at it. Im hoping to rejoin you all & make this year the one to get my old self back. Illness over Christmas put paid to much of the eating & drinking so I don't think too much damage has been done but will weigh in tomorrow.
My dcs have gone back today & it was great to get all the decks down & have a massive tidy up, it'll probably take me the next two days to get the cleaning doneShock still got ham, cheese & fruit cake to use up but am looking forward to menu planning & getting lots of veg again.

Notsoskinnyminny · 03/01/2017 13:30

Happy new year everyone. We had a great time in the land of the 4Ps (pasta, peroni, pizza and prosecco) but I'm 5lbs heavier than my pre-Christmas superlow weight despite walking in excess of 20k steps a couple of the days we were there and dancing in a piazza until 4am on NYE/day. Came home to a house full of tempting goodies so one last day off the wagon but not a single pringle left Sad Back in work tomorrow so have been and bought salad and will start logging everything again as it helps keep me on the track.

FireflyGirl · 03/01/2017 16:38

I just re-did my tdee calculation out of interest, as I last did it in the summer, but couldn't remember what site I used so used Google to findicate one.

Acording to this new site, I should weigh somewhere between 8'7 and 7'8 Shock It was something like 9'7 when I did it on the other site! I'd look emaciated at 7 stone odd!! Not to mention how unrealistic it would be to lose another 3.5 stone!!

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 03/01/2017 16:41

I have no idea what findicate is... Hmm

Thanks firefly, I haven't used MFP - I'm a picker with food so I think it would be too hard to do accurately. I need to just lay off the chocolate and walk everyday. I only ate cereal and soup yesterday and didn't feel hungry, so attempting to do the same today. In fact I'll do this all week (except Friday when I have a family meal - I will forego the pudding and take it easy on the prosecco but still won't be ideal for the diet...!). I'm yet to go on my cross trainer. I hope to try on some wedding dresses next week so that may well give me some motivation, although if I'm honest I think 2st is a bit ambitious but I can only try my best!
Reading all your posts has been inspirational and I hope I will be reporting regular losses!

Bibs2014 · 03/01/2017 19:50

Quick menu update - had a 2-hour nap again too, last day of freedom before work tomorrow!

Egg on one slice of wholemeal toast

Lunch at Frankie and Bennys - had a pasta dish with a side salad, no dressing.

Dinner was lovely! Chilli with mixed beans to bulk it up, 100g brown rice, natural yoghurt and salad with avocado - yum!

Snacked on fruit only today Grin

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 03/01/2017 19:56

firefly that photo of all your chocolate was too tempting ... I'm ashamed to admit I had not one but two mini bars of chocolate after seeing the pic Blush lunch was a bacon and tomato sandwich (we really have no healthy food in the house!) and dinner was leftover bolognese with rice.

Stupidly I managed to fall off a stall onto a pile of DS's toys earlier and have a big gash in my leg. It's killing me. Very annoyed with myself as I'm not sure I'll be able to do my exercise bike for a few days until it's much less tender. Look away now if you're squeamish ..... owwww....... Sad

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 03/01/2017 19:58

Obviously I fell of a stool, not a stall Hmm

SmellTheGlove · 03/01/2017 20:01

firefly how tall are you? That's a very low goal weight! Ignore it! I think it does depend on your frame. For my height I should weigh between 9.7 and 11.10. I'm aiming for 11.7. I've been as low as 10.7 before and I looked pretty bloody thin. I have broad shoulders and big boobs though and that makes a difference.

SmellTheGlove · 03/01/2017 20:04

Ouch Queen. Impressively smooth legs though!

Lapinlapin · 03/01/2017 21:40

Ouch Queen. Looks v painful Sad

Apart from having chips for dinner tonight, I'm doing fairly well so far.
To my surprise I'm really enjoying using mfp. I always thought that logging all the calories was a pain, but it's getting easier (probably because i'm a creature of habit and have the same breakfast every day!) I love the fact that I can eat what I like, as long as I stay within the calories. I have been slightly over once, but as the goal is quite low -1200, I don't think it will matter too much.

Sneak peak on the scales this morning, and I already seem to be 3lb down!

Lapinlapin · 03/01/2017 21:40

Do we have a set weigh in day still?

Ice3 · 03/01/2017 22:05

Welcome Triangular

Ouch! that looks sore Queen

I plan to weigh in on Sundays as usual. It stops me from eating crap on Saturday.

I don't think I will have lost anything this week though. I have a stinking cold and can't sleep because of it.
