Did my 5k on the bike this morning slowly but have not been able to resist the doritos and chocolate today so despite healthy meals, my snacking has been shocking. Not even attempting to log the calories of all my snacks but I'm way over my allowance.

On the plus side, I've done more than 10k steps according to my Fitbit .. plus I was very happy to realise it actually counts steps when I'm on the exercise bike which have me over 2.5k steps by 8am this morning!

Bibs2014 · 28/12/2016 22:25

I'll be joining you from Friday, maybe even tomorrow depending on what my friend has cooked for lunch tomorrow!

SmellTheGlove · 29/12/2016 08:49

firefly sounds like an interesting Christmas! I have still been weighing every day and am back up to 12.2 - but I'm fairly confident that a couple of those will go quite quickly once I'm back on track. I was up to 12.3 a couple of days ago so lost a pound already which isn't so bad. I've decided to try to stick to 1500 cals for the next week and see what happens with that. I actually find all the food around quite stressful.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 29/12/2016 11:05

Well I woke up with the most dreadful back ache and could barely move most of the morning so no exercise bike and barely no steps yet either. Had peanut butter on seeded toast and a cup of tea for breakfast. No idea on rest of meals for today yet.

As much as I love Christmas, I am ready (and needing to) get back into some sort of normal routine now. All this Christmas excess is getting to me and I want all the tempting food to go away so I can get back to losing weight!

FireflyGirl · 29/12/2016 16:44

Sorry to hear about your back, Wench. Is it something you usually suffer with? Fingers crossed it heals quickly.

I know what you mean about getting back to normal - I reckon I've put about 2lb on, which isn't bad considering the rubbish I've been eating - haven't been following it for about 2 weeks Xmas Blush

We're all much better now, thanks everyone for asking. Just exhausted - DH went to pictures today and fell asleep!

So, no excuses not to get straight back on it. But I'm feeling really optimistic about the New Year - pulled an old size 12 skirt out of the cupboard this morning. Totally fits! No muffin top or anything! Xmas Grin

Urgh. What was meant to be just 2 days of indulgence seems to have turned into. Whole week of falling back into bad habits Angry I've not been on exercise bike for a few days nor have I been logging on MFP. Too much crap Christmas buffet food left over and not been shopping for "proper" food since before Xmas - all of which adds up to all the wrong things.

I need my will power and motivation to come back please!

MillieMoodle · 31/12/2016 09:34

How's your back today Wench? I haven't been logging on MFP either, nor have I been doing any exercise.

I'm allowing myself one more day of festivities as we're off to the in-laws tonight for a NYE buffet but from tomorrow I will start logging again and will start my 5k on the bike each day. It's only me stopping myself from losing weight and feeling better about myself so I need to get on with it this year. There are still loads of Xmas goodies left over but if I go back to allowing myself one snack a day, they'll be eaten up eventually!

Am aiming to lose another half a stone by February half term now.

happypoobum · 31/12/2016 11:04

Well done Firefly that's such a satisfying feeling! I have a wardrobe full of lovely clothes I am itching to get back into....

I haven't been back on it properly but trying not to completely pig out. Have stayed at 12:0, so that's still just 3lbs over the holiday period.

For various reasons, I have spent a lot of time sitting around the past two weeks, and I am hoping once I am back to work next week it will be easier to slip back into being sensible.

Tbh I am surprised it's only 3lbs considering the amount of tiramisu, crisps and chocolates I have stowed away Blush

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 31/12/2016 11:58

Back is still a bit achey but much better than it was. I'm cycling to & from work today so that's some exercise at least and have started logging on MFP again.

I've also signed up for this WALK 1000 MILES IN 2017 challenge - looks good, plus extra motivation for me to keep moving. No idea if I'll reach that target, but now I've got a Fitbit and can actually track my daily mileage, I think it's worth a shot!

Bibs2014 · 31/12/2016 15:29

I'm starting tomorrow! Looking forward to it!

I'm doing dry January and no crisps or chocolate in January apart from my birthday mid month.

Also picking up the exercise again from tomorrow!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 01/01/2017 07:55

Happy New Year everyone!

I've just weighed ready to start my regular Sunday morning weigh-ins again and by some miracle I am only half a pound heavier than I was the day before Xmas eve Grin So 10st 4 today.

Just done my 5k on exercise bike. Had a big family walk planned today but it's chucking it down so may have to revise that plan! Just about to have grilled bacon, mushroom and egg for breakfast. Not sure what other meals will be as we are visiting family today.

Good luck everyone else who is re-starting / weighing in today x

SmellTheGlove · 01/01/2017 08:04

Good God queen half a pound?!! How have you managed that? Super impressed. I was down to 12.0 (and three quarters!) yesterday but back up to 12.1 and a quarter today. Got big family lunch today so not hopeful for sticking to cals today.. on the plus side I ordered a dress from h &m which arrived yesterday and it looks good on! It's very slinky. It's a size 14 but not at all stretchy or vanity sized (unlike all the ridiculous 'size 10' white stuff clothes I magically fit into) so I'm pleased. It should look even better when I'm down to 11 10 which is my goal so that's inspiring me a bit!

Bibs2014 · 01/01/2017 09:29

11st 1 and 3/4 - let's do this!

MillieMoodle · 01/01/2017 09:46

Happy new year all!

Back on it today and have started with cornflakes and decaf tea for breakfast. Will weigh in later on.

Went to the in laws for a buffet last night but didn't actually eat very much as I wasn't very hungry. Had a couple of glasses of wine as well but definitely didn't go overboard.

Got a mountain of ironing to get through here today so hopefully that will burn some calories!

Lapinlapin · 01/01/2017 09:58

Happy new year everyone!

I'm back on it now, after being terrible for about the last 3 weeks Blush

In fact I weighed this morning, and I'm back to my original starting weight again. So cross with myself.

Anyway, new year, new start and all that. Determined to do better.

Weighed this morning and am 11 stone 13. Hoping that a little of that is due to eating and drinking until quite late last night, but probably wishful thinking. Am aiming to get down to 11 stone by February half-term. In fact, I want to be just under 11 so I finally see a 10 on the scales again. So new target is 10.13!

I've decided I'm going to use mfp and also start running again. And also make sure I do my 10,000 steps every single day.

Good luck everyone else!

lokisglowstickofdestiny1 · 01/01/2017 10:41

Happy New Year to everyone! Just weighed in at 70.1kgs. Back to it today. Cheesy scrambled eggs for brunch, not sure about dinner yet.

MillieMoodle · 01/01/2017 11:01

Just weighed myself and I'm 11st 10lbs, so 3lbs up from pre-Christmas weight. Not great but not horrendous either.

Lapin I'm also aiming to get to 10st 13lbs by February half term - then I'll be back to my pre-DS2 weight. I've got to try to do 10,000 steps a day here too. I was averaging about 6-7,000 a day before Christmas so I really need to up it now!

Ice3 · 01/01/2017 15:21

Happy New Year everyone!

I am down to 11st 1lb now. My next goal is 10st 7lbs which will be 3 stone down. Hopefully by the end of January.

Bibs2014 · 01/01/2017 19:27

Weetabix for breakfast, Nando's chicken breast, rice and salad for lunch and Thai green curry and quinoa for dinner. Had a 2-hour nap which helped Grin

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 01/01/2017 20:33

Omg Bibs I am so jealous that you've been able to have a 2hr nap!!! That would be heaven! Grin

Bibs2014 · 01/01/2017 20:35

The benefits of having a 2 year old!!

Lapinlapin · 01/01/2017 20:38

Wow Ice that fantastic!

Millie we sound to be in a similar position except your ds2 is still only a baby and mine is now 3! Blush

Let's do this! Only 6 weeks until half-term.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 01/01/2017 20:38

Sadly my days of naps are long gone. DCs are 6 & 4 and are both like Duracell bunnies for at least 12 hours a day Confused

Bibs2014 · 01/01/2017 22:05

I've had a shortbread biscuit too Grin

triangularchocolate · 02/01/2017 08:40

Right, I'm joining you if that's ok? I pigged out far to much over the last couple of weeks and have gained 3lbs. Weighed myself this morning and my official starting weight is 13st 10lb. I would be delighted if i can get under 12st in time for my wedding in 10 weeks (and 5 days). I've never been under 11st but long term hope to get back to and stay there - that is the top of my 'healthy' BMI weight. My plan is small portions, most lunches and dinners to be soup or salad, 10,000 steps per day and using the cross trainer when the baby naps. I always struggle with motivation after a couple of weeks of healthy eating so hope that having to report in each week will keep me focussed. That and needing to start looking for a wedding dress as I can't bear to try any on at my current size Confused
