Welcome triangular!

Well I ended up being over on my calories yesterday as DH cooked chicken korma for dinner ... which was totally yummy but very calorific too. However I had a smaller portion than I normally would and only had half a naan bread instead of a whole one.

MFP tells me that 1800 would maintain my current weight so I think I am just going to aim to be under that over Christmas. Anything less will be a bonus but I will try not to beat myself up if I'm over my 1400 as long as I'm under 1800. (Not including Xmas eve when we are out for a big family meal, nor of course Christmas Day. I am NOT calorie counting on either of those!!)

I will weigh in Xmas eve morning and hopefully 2 days over indulgence won't do too much damage hopeful

Currently doing my 5k on exercise bike. Breakfast after will be tea and porridge with banana. Lunch will be tuna mayo sandwich, and dinner chicken goujons with salad and homemade wedges. We are off to the snowdome this afternoon too so hopefully playing in the snow will burn a few extra calories!

SmellTheGlove · 19/12/2016 09:20

Weigh in this morning 11.13 and a quarter! So 5.5lbs off since the start. good I'm going to try to maintain as well from now on, and stay under 12 stone. I don't want to feel miserable and deprived by not eating all the goodies but I also really don't want to gain!

MillieMoodle · 19/12/2016 09:48

Sorry for the silence all, had a crazy busy weekend here and I can't believe it's Monday again. Weighed in this morning instead of yesterday and am still 11st 7lbs, so 7lbs lost overall since we started. Am just pleased to have maintained this week given all the crap I've eaten!

Well done ice on losing a whole stone! Welcome triangular! Sorry I've been a rubbish buddy this week wench, but well done on keeping up with the 5k! Well done to everyone else on the losses or even just maintaining weight this week. It's definitely getting harder with all the goodies to resist!

So Saturday I had one slice of white toast with Nutella, actimel and tea for breakfast. Lunch was chips from the chip shop in two white crusty rolls, followed by a jam doughnut. Had another jam doughnut mid afternoon. Dinner was at a friends house - mini sausage rolls, mini sausages, mini duck spring rolls, a slice of pizza, carrot & cucumber sticks and some hummus. I was driving so had 3 glasses of Diet Coke.

Sunday was a slice of white toast with Nutella, actimel and tea. Lunch was forgotten about as we met up with some friends in the pub. I was driving again so had 2 glasses of Diet Pepsi. Snack was a Rudolph cake and some Jaffa cakes (about 5). Dinner was dominos Xmas Blush I had all but one slice of a small cheese and tomato pizza, two slices of garlic pizza bread, 2 chicken wings, 2 chicken strips and 2 chicken pieces. And a glass of red wine. I was going to cook but DS2 has been ill and has a hacking cough. He got a bit wheezy so we took him to the out of hours GP and it was quite late by the time we got home.

Today hasn't started off particularly well. Had actimel, one slice of white toast with Nutella and a glass of squash before school run. Then got home and had a bowl of cornflakes and a cup of tea. We are staying in to do some jobs round the house today so hopefully I won't snack all day.

Am glad to be on maternity leave as at least I'm avoiding all the goodies in the office!

Am hoping I can lose another pound or so by Christmas. I won't have lost a stone but as others have said, I'll be starting half a stone lighter than I would otherwise have been!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 19/12/2016 10:37

Hi Millie nice to see you back ... hope things settle down for you and stop being so crazy busy. Also ... school run?! I thought they'd all finished for Xmas now. Mine broke up on Friday.

MillieMoodle · 19/12/2016 12:15

Hi Wench DS1 is at school today and tomorrow. God only knows why they're still at school, they're all exhausted, the teachers have had enough too! The secondary schools nearby all finished on Friday but the primary schools are still in until tomorrow. A bit too late this year IMO, would have much preferred them to have finished on Friday.

Have spent the morning ironing which seems to have kept DS2 entertained, he has watched me and is now studying his hands. Going to have crackerbread and cottage cheese for lunch.

Bibs2014 · 19/12/2016 19:28

Quick update

Was driving back from mil's today so no weigh in this morning as wasnt as home.

Menu

Granola and ss milk

Lunch was nearly chips or McDonald's driving back but we came home and I had bacon omelette with beans.

Dinner was Thai green curry made slimming world way and rice.

I've picked today at a teeny goats cheese and onion pastry, about 5 pringles and a chicken wing.

Decided to go back to slimming world as it works for me and I don't have to weigh and measure, plus the turkey roast dinner at Christmas is mostly free so win win!

FireflyGirl · 20/12/2016 07:31

Think I might do similar Bibs. Calorie counting is going to be too much of a faff, but as long as I don't overdo the crisps/chocolate, I should be able to limit the damage.

Yesterday was :
B : 2x cereal bars
Brunch: bread and hummous
L : Chicken noodle salad with a packet of Walkers Baked crisps
T : Chicken fried rice followed by a Malteser reindeer Xmas Blush
Was under my calories, just.

Wish I could have got something done yesterday, Millie. DS had been up until 3 running a temperature, and then up at 8. He needed lots of cuddles and wouldn't nap so I just about managed to feed us but got none of the cleaning done Xmas Sad

I'm going to try and weigh in at the gym before the end of the week to get my 8 week total. All of the classes finished 2 weeks ago and I haven't been since Xmas Blush

MillieMoodle · 20/12/2016 14:13

Had one slice of White toast with Nutella for breakfast, with tea and actimel. Tesco festive turkey sandwiches for lunch with some marshmallow tea cakes. Dinner is nachos.

Have walked miles round our local town centre getting the last few bits of Christmas shopping, then went to Tesco, then went to nearest city and walked round the shopping centre there. But my UP band is saying I've only walked 2,900 steps! I've walked miles! And pushed the buggy! I think it's broken Xmas Sad or maybe trying to help me avoid snacks.

Was still maintaining at 11st 7lbs this morning which considering it's the week before Christmas, I'm quite happy with. DH has decided that 2017 is the year he's going to lose weight too, and DS1 is getting a bike for Christmas, so I am hoping we will have some long walks between Christmas and new year. We have a forest right on the doorstep with some beautiful walks and we are going to start making the most of it!

Ice3 · 20/12/2016 14:35

I've got a loaf of tiger bread calling me in the kitchen cupboard that I am trying so hard to ignore.

Millie if you were pushing the buggy it might not have registered all your steps. I know the Fitbit used to have that issue.

I measured my height yesterday because I haven't done it in years and I have grown an inch! I am 5'4" not 5'3" which takes my BMI from 27.7 to 26.8.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 20/12/2016 17:57

5k on the bike this morning, followed by tea with porridge and banana for breakfast. Flavoured latte mid morning. Subway chicken and bacon salad bowl and a cup of tea for lunch. Slipped up for dinner as we had hot dogs with oven chips, peas and sweet corn. Was just going to have the sausage with no roll but it looked so good I couldn't resist. So I'm over on my calories today but still under my "weight maintenance" allowance so that's ok.

Notsoskinnyminny · 20/12/2016 18:20

Ice I found I'd grown half an inch when I got measured at the hospital. Still 1/2" behind you but every little helps when you're our size Xmas Grin

wench I'm doing the same as you but MFP is making me think before snacking and that's always been my downfall. I've tried SW but pigged out on all the free foods. I bet if I logged what I was eating I'd be way over 2500 calories but it didn't matter because it was 'free'. I know you're supposed to have sensible portions but it didn't happen for me!

Hope DS is feeling better Firefly

One more day to go in work but it'll be an early start because DDs in work for 7.30am so I'm hoping to be able to escape by 2. Food shopping nearly done apart from veg and bits for DCs when we're away over new year. I've got them the important stuff - pringles, beer and vodka - thankfully they've got good mates so the house won't be trashed when we get back! Knowing the lads the beer will still be there - better get some more dr pepper Xmas Grin

Bibs2014 · 20/12/2016 20:01

My downfall at the moment is drinking! Dry January methinks!

Menu

Cereal and ss milk
Leftover Thai curry and rice for lunch
Dinner was beef pie and broccoli
Melon and Apple

Picked at Pringle's, a bit of DS's leftover pizza, some of DS's mini cheddars.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 21/12/2016 01:03

I must be mad. It is 1am and I am on my exercise bike Shock feeling guilty about going over my allowance today and also Can't sleep so thought I might as well do it now in the hope it tires my body out enough to rest. May or may not do it again when in the morning probably not

MillieMoodle · 21/12/2016 08:33

I haven't been very good at logging my meals on MFP this last week or so, and snacks are starting to creep back in without me thinking about how many calories are in them. So am starting with MFP properly again today.

Breakfast has been actimel, tea and 3 small scotch pancakes. Lunch will be a sandwich. Not sure about dinner yet.

DS1 has finished school now and is so hyped up on Christmas excitement that he's been bouncing around the living room for the last hour. He was up even earlier than usual this morning so I am exhausted already! DS2 is still full of cold and quite unsettled, and hasn't slept properly for nearly a week. I also seem to have picked up another cold/cough from somewhere. I think it's going to be a very long day!

Bibs2014 · 21/12/2016 08:44

Wench - you're crazy! Grin

reese's pieces and prosecco last night to celebrate DH finishing a massively stressful project. Now we can concentrate on Christmas. My aim is to not hit 11 stone!

Cereal for breakfast
Butternut squash soup for lunch
Fruit
Chicken curry for dinner

happychristmasbum · 21/12/2016 09:55

I wish I could grow an inch!!

Bibs that's a positive target and one I might borrow ( except I don't want to hit 12 stone!)

I weighed in today as festivities start in earnest here now. 11:11. So bloody happy. That's 16 pounds of fat I have shifted - or 32 packs of lard/butter.

Feeling rather Halo and it's all thanks you to bunch of losers.

See you on the other side!

Notsoskinnyminny · 21/12/2016 15:02

Aaaarrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! so much for a stress-free last day in work - got pulled by the police for not having my rear lights on on the way to work - stupid fiesta has automatic front lights and by the time I'd finished bawling at DS to hurry up because DD was in work for 7.30 I forgot to turn them on - got away with a wristslap but I should've known it was going to be one of those days as there I was tidying my desk ready for the hols and DD phones to say she's broke her brace and the orthodontist can fit her in at 4pm - problem is he's 50 miles away in her uni town so I snook out of work and drove her to a mainline station then came home, dying for a wee, and the soddin cat has knocked a bottle of wine off the worktop in the utility room - the whole kitchen reeks of stale wine Xmas Angry but at least I can cross mopping the floor off my too do list Xmas Grin

Wench you're a looney Grin

Waves to everyone else.

Bibs2014 · 21/12/2016 16:00

wow, happychristmas, thats great!

notso - arrrggggggghhhhh!

i had chippie chips for lunch Blush - they were DELISH!!

SmellTheGlove · 21/12/2016 19:19

Work do last night so much wine drunk and a few nibbles but not many. Actually weighed a pound less this morning but that's probably dehydration from all the booze. Been so hungover today and at work which was full of chocs (teacher) so eaten about a tonne of them and nothing else! Not the healthiest and now I feel even rougher. Just got to get through til DS bedtime then I'm crashing too!

Bibs2014 · 21/12/2016 22:07

So many nibbles at work, so hard to resist!

FireflyGirl · 21/12/2016 22:12

I've felt rubbish for the last few days, and I honestly think it's because I have been eating less healthily!

See you after Christmas, happy, and well done on the hard work so far!

You are a little crazy, Wench Xmas Grin

Hope today is better for you, Smell

It could have been worse Notso - the cat could have knocked over the decent stuff and found a way into the fridge and chomped half the turkey Xmas Wink

Good to have a plan Bibs - I'm 11 1.6, so no easy figure to limit myself to, but 11 2.5 after Christmas will still give me a 10lb loss from when we started, so think that'll do me.

I know what you mean about snacks, Millie. I'm the same - think I'll have to rope DH in to help remove temptations!

Today has been :
B : cereal bars
L : Chicken kebabs with rice and yoghurt
T : jacket potato with cheese, dinky deckers

Under my calories, and better food so hopefully I'll start to feel better.

Planning to go food shopping tomorrow morning - wish me luck! I may need to start on the Wine quite early... Xmas Confused

OP posts:
Ice3 · 21/12/2016 22:35

Hope you feel better tomorrow Smell and Firefly

I'm signing off for a few days now at 156.8. It's my birthday tomorrow and we have a tradition of cake at midnight. Tomorrow is pizza, halloumi fries, more cake and lots and lots of wine. I'm going to log as accurately as I can but I'm going to be over and I'm not weighing in again until after Christmas.

Thank you for the thread. It's been great for keeping me accountable, especially on a Saturday. Looking forward to getting back to it soon.

I hope everyone has a really good Christmas Xmas Grin

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 22/12/2016 07:46

Happy birthday ice! WineCake

I am aching so much this morning. Ended up with both dcs in bed with me last night as neither could settle - so they were spread out with loads of room and I basically "slept" curled up at the bottom of the bed like a dog Hmm I know I could've left them there and gone and slept in one of their beds but they'd wanted to snuggle up with me so it didn't feel right to go elsewhere. My aching limbs are paying for it this morning though!

Am on the exercise bike now struggling to try and loosen up a bit and get myself moving for the day.

Managed to stay under my 1400 cals yesterday -

B- 2 slices of seeded toast
S - flavoured coffee
L - tuna mayo sandwich (just one slice of bread) and some soup; both leftovers.
D - 2 rashers grilled bacon, tomato, scrambled egg, mushroom, half an avocado.
Also had hot choc & a cheeky biscuit at bedtime.

Really tempted to check the scales but feel it would be a disappointment as I've only been under my cals twice since last weigh in!

SmellTheGlove · 22/12/2016 07:47

Well the pound loss was indeed temporary and back with reinforcements today! 12 stone and a quarter. I'm going to keep weighing and checking in over Xmas, but the plan is to try and stay at or under 12 stone. That would be amazing. Lots of temptation today as I'm trying to make sweetie trees for the first time so have 2kgs of chocolate buttons in my cupboard! Let's hope they all make it onto the trees!

Bibs2014 · 22/12/2016 11:05

I was 10st 13 this morning eeeeeeeeekkkk! I need to reign it in as I don't want to go over 11 stone. My heaviest ever weight was 11st 6 Blush. So I feel podgy!
