I'm having a day off my diet for my birthday next week so went to fill my online basket up with all the food I've been missing but I couldn't really see anything that was worth the calories except wine and cake Shock I think my overall thinking might have changed which is really weird.

I think I'm going to be over on my calories today because I stupidly agreed to go to the cinema to see Star Wars at 3:30am!!

You really have had your cold forever Millie Hope you feel better soon.

FleshEmoji · 14/12/2016 17:19

Well done everyone, & happy birthday Ice.

DH's Korean BBQ was lovely and we managed to eat at 9pm, so pretty good. There was slow-cooked beef rib, spicy beansprouts and loads of pickles. I managed to skip the rice. There are still some spicy chicken wings in the fridge if anyone is interested?

So I did drink the wine (of course) and then Saturday was in London - there may have been cocktails and a meal at Archipelago. I started Sunday 1.5lb heavier, but was pretty good that day (only ate my Indian-stye Sunday roast at 5pm, nothing else all day) and dropped 1lb.

This is my third fast day this week and I'm back 8st 7lb this morning.

Today - 200 cal salad with crayfish
Dinner - Cambridge curry with brown shrimps, red pepper, onion and spinach. A

FleshEmoji · 14/12/2016 17:20

I mean 8st 8lb! 8st 7lb is goal.

happychristmasbum · 14/12/2016 17:38

Scarzo possibly? I think I am one of the biggest tough so it makes sense. I had a health check through work this week and they did a metabolism check.

A woman of my age, weight and height with a sedentary lifestyle should have a maintenance daily intake of around 1530 = 1820 calories per day (sorry, the bit of paper is in my desk drawer at work) Mine is 1303!!!

Obviously this explains why I was maintaining on around 1200 calories. A few misestimates and I'm just maintaining. So by dropping to 1000 I have been able to lose. No idea why it is so low other than a lifetime of yo yo dieting. The only way to improve it, other than becoming taller or younger, is to build more muscle mass - sigh!

firefly I wish!!! Xmas Grin

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 14/12/2016 19:30

So it turns out I have no will power when it comes to a party food buffet. And now I feel fat, bloated and sick. Say no more. Back on it tomorrow! Blush

FireflyGirl · 14/12/2016 20:01

Same here Wench.

Today has been:
Snowman pombears
Chicken dippers
Blueberries
More crisps
Cinnamon bagel
Apple
Chicken fried rice.
Oh, and a Malteser reindeer Grin

I haven't been back to sleep, so been up since 3.30, my oven keeps blowing the electrics upstairs, and I have started my period, which doesn't seem like much but I'm on cerazette and it's only the second since I had DS 21 months ago. My only hope is that I usually get a bit of a free pass with my eating when I start so I might get away with today...

MillieMoodle · 14/12/2016 22:00

Had chicken stir fry for dinner and just had a mini Cadbury Yule log. Still have some calories left for today, yay!

Got a headache and period has come back this evening, I think. I've had 3 in 5 weeks Confused so got to have an ultrasound next week to check for retained placenta. Bleurgh.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 14/12/2016 22:28

I just put all of today's food into MFP. I am 990 calories OVER my limit ShockBlushConfused

Jeez no wonder I feel crap at the moment. And to think I used to eat like this nearly every day. MFP helpfully tells me if every day were like today, I'd be 10st 10lb in 5 weeks - almost back where I started. Got to hope today hasn't done too much damage and try and find some will power for all the Christmas food that will soon be everywhere.

I feel sick.

Bibs2014 · 14/12/2016 23:06

Last nights meal at Prezzo was really good. I had soup to start and chicken calabrese for main with salad on the side - not chips or mash which was the other options, go me! Pudding def wasn't diet friendly - arctic slice with ice cream and salted caramel sauce and wine and prosecco was consumed Grin. Lovely evening out.

Today has been manic and I've picked and not stuck to it. But back on it tomorrow! So hard at this time of year! I did resist mince pies in the office tho so go me!!

Ice3 · 15/12/2016 03:10

Thanks Flesh I've got a week to go yet

readyforsunshine · 15/12/2016 07:08

Hi scarzo that's a fantastic loss, well done you 👏👏
I'm stuck hovering around 10.5 so haven't done very well at all. In my defence this is my busiest time of year & my husband is away too. I'm afraid there has been quite a lot of starving family, no time, pizza, pasta, egg & oven chips one night! Luckily I'm feeling better despite the crappy diet & will definitely get back on it when things calm down a bit.
Well done to the rest of you smashing it Smile

SmellTheGlove · 15/12/2016 07:16

And so it begins.....first Christmas night out last night, Chinese with some work friends, and 2.5 lbs on this morning! FFS! And I still have a stinking cold so feeling very sorry for myself Sad

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 15/12/2016 07:43

I feel crap this morning after all the party food consumed last night. Bloated and sick feeling. Not going anywhere near the scales until Sunday in the hope i can Undo any damage before it's recorded!

Am on the exercise bike as I type - legs have felt really lethargic and achy last 2 days so I'm finding it a struggle.

Planning on tea and porridge with banana after this, soup for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet. Definitely feel like eating light today after last nights indulgences.

Realistically I'm not sure I'll lose any more before Xmas now too much temptation around but I think if I can at least maintain where I am (10st 5lb) and then get back to losing after Xmas then I'll be ok with that. Anything I do lose between now and then will be a bonus!

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 15/12/2016 09:10

Hi everyone. Fast day for me today. I'm doing some booting up the backsides here. We knew this would be tough at this time of year and it's OK to slide a bit, but when everyone else is starting with this on New Year's Day we know that we are already in the zone to lose weight - I think it's so much about being in the right frame of mind to do this.
Wench well done for getting on that bike. You might feel crap because of what you ate but I'd look at it as was the food I ate worth how I'm feeling now. Your body is telling you no it wasn't, so next time you are faced with it think about how you felt this morning.
Sorry if I'm coming over all preachy but I hate to see everyone so down when we have been doing well.

Bibs2014 · 15/12/2016 09:18

New day so breakfast was a cereal bar - thought I was going to work but sick DS has other ideas. So had a proper sit down brekkie afterwards of half a bagel and a scrambled egg.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 15/12/2016 09:29

Loki you're totally right ... no, what I ate last night wasn't worth how I feel now. To be honest I didn't even want it all when I was eating it, it was just because it was there! damn you doritos Lesson learnt for all the upcoming Christmas buffets and yummy food. I need to control myself and say it's ok to have one piece of cake / handful of crisps or whatever, but there's no need to just keep eating for the sake of it.

It's also true what you say about being in the right frame of mind to do this. I really struggled the first 2-3weeks after we started this but then something just seemed to click in my brain and I got the hang of logging everything on MFP and that's when I started to see results. I think all the yummy food around atm is making me in danger of losing that weight loss/better eating frame of mind. That's why I made myself log everything I ate last night - seeing how many calories it added up to really had an impact.

Onwards and upwards! (Or should that be downwards, as that's how we want the scales to go?! Grin)

MillieMoodle · 15/12/2016 11:43

Aw wench it's so easy to overeat without realising. I'm shocked when I think how much I used to eat. Even on my few dreadful days last week I didn't eat as much as I used to! Don't feel down about it, it was just one day and if you're back on it today then it won't make too much difference overall.

Loki I think we need you Sargeant Major-ing at us over the next couple of weeks please. I certainly need it!

Today I've had actimel, tea and cornflakes for breakfast. Lunch will be crackerbread and cottage cheese. Not sure about dinner yet. Am trying to get a few jobs done round the house too, so hopefully step count will be better than it has been.

Thanks all for getting me back on track after a rough few days last week. If it wasn't for you all, I'd have thought 'sod it' and given up.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 15/12/2016 12:29

Too true Millie ... what I ate yesterday wasn't really loads, just seems like it compared to how I am supposed to be currently eating, yet that used to be a "normal" day for me.

Also agree that Loki should be thread sergeant major to shout at us all and keep us in line! GrinGrin

SmellTheGlove · 15/12/2016 13:17

Well such for having a good day today to make up for last night - I'm off sick and eating chocolate! Just put everything into MFP and I have 73 cals left for today. It's only ten past one!

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 15/12/2016 15:49

Haha, get in line you 'orrible lot!

Bibs2014 · 15/12/2016 18:49

Got called into work! So lunch with a client was a chicken and cous cous salad with sweet potato fries from Slug and Lettuce. 2 mini mince pies. A packet of mini cheddars. Need to eat some fruit! None eaten today!

Notsoskinnyminny · 15/12/2016 19:01

Evening ladies, finally had time for a quick catch up.

Firefly love the christmas presents but probably not as much as DH would Xmas Grin

Trying desperately to stick to 1200 calories per day but wine is the enemy. Had steak and salad on Monday and shared a pudding and the food on my course would've been ideal if I was low carbing apart from the 2 huge cookies I eat without thinking - wench I'm like you, its there so it needs eating even though I didn't want the 2nd one. I couldn't stop peeing the other night and needed to get up 4 times, I was convinced the whoosh fairy was paying me a visit but when I stepped on the scales I was still the same.

DH is off with manflu and driving me mad - just go to bed and take your germs with you! I dug a bottle of cough mixture out of the cupboard yesterday and he somehow managed to take 10mls of the dog's £80 incontinence medicine this morning - he looks bloody awful and hasn't peed all day so I've just messaged DS's best frind who's a pharmacist to see if we need to go to the walk in centre - google's rubbish when you need info - just to put it into perspective the dog has 0.5ml twice a day.

I'll be back in the new year, this is the first time I've managed to stay in the zone and I'm obsessed with MFP

Bibs2014 · 15/12/2016 22:18

Dinner was chicken noodles. Pineapple for afters followed by a Cadburys cake bar.

My slimming world magazine came today! I did like that diet I should go back to it!

Bibs2014 · 16/12/2016 09:26

Shredded wheat for breakfast here!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 16/12/2016 12:05

Cycle to work this morning - 2.5k, approx 15mins and will do the same again going home.

Breakfast was tea with 2 boiled eggs and tomato. Mid morning snack of flavoured latte with a Christmas bakewell slice ( which wasn't as nice as expected so only ate half). Lunch is carrot and coriander soup and some grapes. Dinner is slow cooked gammon with roast potatoes and veg.

Should be under my allowance today. And my work trousers are definitely feeling loose around my waist and hips GrinGrinGrin
