Smell I doubt it will be the chocolate - probably a combination of volume and water from the mussels. Stick with it, you're doing great!

Congratulations happy! You must feel great! I will be sticking with the thread into the New Year, as I also have more to lose, so there will be at least the two of us.

No dog, and the cats are very particular, and DH is lactose intolerant and shouldn't have been eating pizza anyway, so I put my big girl pants on and threw it in the composting!

Flowers Millie, you're having a right time of it, aren't you! I'm sure you can stick to it now - only 2 weeks until Christmas! You can manage to wait that long for a splurge!

Enjoy your Christmas lunch Bibs

Notso that is a bit ridiculous. Bright side of not going out, no empty wine calories?

Wench a lb off is still a good loss, but you're right about it getting harder the closer we get to Christmas. I'm out tonight, but driving in an attempt to avoid unnecessary calories. Just need to have a good dance as well, burn off my lime and soda waters.

I'm jealous of your lie-in Loki. DS is a bit under the weather and woke me up at 5:20, whimpering. He then slept until 6.30 - I couldn't get back over!

Morning all. Have lost 0.4kg this week, pleased as haven't done much exercise so wasn't expecting the scales to have budged at all. New weight 68.9kg, total lost so far 4.9kg or in old money just under 11lbs. Have started to notice trousers fit better, and the tops of my arms are smaller.
Shall be having porridge for breakfast but no idea about the rest of the day. Firefly and Happy I shall be here in the New Year so there will be at least 3 of us here.
l hope everyone enjoys Sunday.

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 11/12/2016 08:09

Correction, lost 0.5kg - I put my correct reading in my Fitbit app and then failed to do basic maths! So new weight is 68.8kg - exactly 5kg lost.

Notsoskinnyminny · 11/12/2016 09:21

Another lb off so 9st 5.25. This week's going to be tough as I've got a boozy lunch and possibly tea with a friend tomorrow and on Wednesday I've got a f2f session for my course, it's a proper snoozefest but it's held at a premier football club and the food is always amazing and the food is the only thing that gets us through the day from the mini danishes on arrival to the dinky cream cakes at 3pm. There's also cookies with the mid morning coffee and 4 choices for lunch so I'll be well over my calories Grin

Ice3 · 11/12/2016 11:22

Well done Loki and Notso

Start: 172
Week one: 168.6
Week two: 167.0
Week three: No scales
Week four: 162.4
Week five: 159.6
Week six: 159.6

I have been bouncing around between 159 and 160 all week. I am bloated and crappy. I have an eye infection. Eurgh. I should have a good loss next week at least! - I'll definitely still be here in the new year.

Good luck on Wednesday Notso. I have been craving cream cakes Grin

MillieMoodle · 11/12/2016 15:22

Weighed in this morning at 11st 8lbs so up from last week but only by 1lb. Not bad considering I had a terrible week for over eating and hardly moving!

B: rice crispies, actimel and tea.

L: two white rolls, one soft, one crusty with smoked salmon pate. And a quality street honeycomb bar Blush

D: will be pork chops, wedges, cauliflower cheese and carrots / broccoli.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 11/12/2016 20:15

Evening all. Last nights curry wasn't too damaging - I had tandoori salmon (yum!) with pilau rice and a small piece of garlic naan. Only had one glass of wine too. Worked out I was about 280 cals over my allowance yesterday.

Today however is a complete write off. Started off ok with porridge and banana but then I had a huge craving for crusty bread with real butter and nice cheese for lunch. There was no way I was going to be satisfied with anything else so I just went for it. It was bloody lovely too! Grin

This evening we've been at a Christmas party so also had party food and cake. Not even going to attempt to log everything on MFP!

So 2 weeks left and 5lb to go to get to my initial goal of 10st. Not sure I'll do it but can live in hope! I am definitely sticking with this in the new year though, now I've proved to myself that it does make a difference when I stick at it!

SmellTheGlove · 11/12/2016 22:11

God I'm struggling now! Fed up with not eating much and lovely food everywhere! I was really hungry last night even though I'd eaten slightly over my calories, couldn't sleep because of it. So today I was tired and my period started so now my stomach is killing me. And I think I'm getting a cold! Moan moan sorry! Not sure what weigh in will bring tomorrow - was back down a pound today but my period might mess that up. When I was so tired today I found it really hard not to over eat - hats off to those of you with young babies I couldn't have done this then!

Bibs2014 · 12/12/2016 08:55

So for me a line drawn under a horrific week and drowning my sorrows in Baileys. Start weight 10st 10 which is a gain of 1lb miraculously.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 12/12/2016 09:04

5k on the bike done this morning. Not eaten yet apart from a banana. No idea what the rest of my meals will be as my cupboards are looking very bare and uninteresting. Got a huge list of housework to get done today so hopefully that will burn some extra calories too if only I could motivate myself to actually start

MillieMoodle · 12/12/2016 09:38

Yesterday was a write off too. I had two pain au raisin and two festive bakewells as snacks. Then realised there are nearly 400 cals in a pain au raisin. Shock

Cold has almost gone so am back on it today, rice crispies, actimel and tea for breakfast.

Am going to my parents' for lunch so will probably be a sandwich.

Dinner will be chicken stir fry.

We've got a really busy week this week with DS1s Christmas play and loads of jobs to get done before next weekend; I'm hoping it'll get my step count up as it was dire last week!

Wench am starting back with the 5k on the bike again from tonight!

Ice3 · 12/12/2016 14:16

Well I've just had a happy little boost. I was ordering some slippers the other day and decided to buy a pair of cheap jeans in a smaller size as a measurement/motivation tool. I looked at the size guide and saw I was an inch away from a size 14 so bought the size 12. Tried them on for a laugh this morning not thinking they would go over my thighs and they bloody well fit perfectly! They must be an absolutely huge 12 or labelled incorrectly but it has cheered me right up.

The scale till hasn't moved thanks period!though.

Cheesy scrambled eggs soon and I don't know what I'm doing for dinner yet.

Bibs2014 · 12/12/2016 14:22

Yaaay for the size 12s Ice!!

Menu so far

Porridge, chia seeds, semi skimmed milk. Handful of grapes.

Half a bagel, soup, 1.5 sausage (DS's leftovers!) for lunch.

Wrap, chilli, salad with avocado for dinner.

FireflyGirl · 12/12/2016 20:56

Well done on the losses, everyone. I was 11 2.2, so lost just over a pound this week, making 10 in total. I'm so chuffed with that!

Millie and Bibs glad to hear you're back on it. You know where we are if you need any help.

Well done on your size 12s Ice. I squeezed into some today, but it was not pretty so will try again in the New Year.

B: raspberries
L: Chicken salad from Marks' and some of their jalapeño and soured cream snacks.
T: turkey meatballs with pasta and broccoli.

I am craving chocolate but not enough to get my coat and shoes on and get some out of the garage I think it's mostly tiredness as well - think DS is teething, I was up and down with him all night last night and I'm in bed already...

OP posts:
MillieMoodle · 12/12/2016 22:52

Well done everyone on the losses. I'm ashamed to say that today wasn't very good either. I didn't do my 5k on the bike, I ate too much junk and I feel yuck this evening.

Right, tomorrow I am back on it for definite. I don't think I'll lose the full stone by Christmas, but if I can lose another 4 or 5 lbs I'll be happy.

I will also stay on the thread in the new year; I'd like to get to my pre-baby weight of 10st 13lbs by mid-January, then to 10st by Easter, then 9.5st by next Christmas at the latest. I go back to work in June and would like to be a fair bit slimmer than I was pre-pregnancy!

FleshEmoji · 13/12/2016 05:43

Well done Ice and Firefly!

After a weekend full of meals out and molecular cocktails I'm pleased to say that I've dropped some weight after my fast day and I am 8st 8.2lb today, i.e. properly 8st 8lb and only 1lb from goal.

Yesterday I ate

  • two coffees with milk
  • crab salad (200)
  • mushroom Cambridge meal with 100g chicken breast and some shiitake mushrooms simmered in stock & drained (350)
SmellTheGlove · 13/12/2016 07:51

I am full of cold and have my period. And am up three quarters of a pound since yesterday. Today won't be good as I won't be out and about getting my steps in. I'm still under 12 stone so pleased with that but really hoped to be at my goal which is 11.10. (Well it's 11.7 really but that's quite optimistic!). Lots of social stuff planned from now on so may have to focus on just staying under 12 til after Xmas, though I'm going to keep trying to lose..

Bibs2014 · 13/12/2016 08:15

10 9 this morning!

Porridge and chia seeds for breakfast.
Leftover chilli and quinoa for lunch.
Prezzo for dinner.

Scarzo · 13/12/2016 09:33

Congratulations Happy! Does that make you the first to lose a stone?!

Ice, Firefly, Loki, Notso, Bibs - well done on your losses too Grin.

Millie - I'm giving you a (supportive) kick up the bum. You can do it!

Readyforsunshine - How're you going? Hope you're not still unwell.

Last week I said that I was 66.9 - it was actually 65.9. I'd plateaued around 66. This morning, though, I was 64.5 Shock.

It's bloody hot here at the moment (39C. today), so I might be a bit dehydrated. So I'll be conservative and say I'm 65kg.

Pretty happy with that Grin.

1 week until I fly to the UK - if I can get down to 64 by then I will be ecstatic!

Bibs2014 · 13/12/2016 18:24

Have had fruit, a packet of mini crackers and a small slice of pannetone also.

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 13/12/2016 21:07

5k on bike this morning.

Breakfast- banana then Costa coffee and brown toast after school run
Lunch- 2 hard boiled eggs. Tea.
Dinner - chicken and salad wraps. Chocolate donut Blush

Am sacrificing my bedtime hot chocolate to keep me under my calories today!

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 13/12/2016 21:56

Evening all. Survived my first Christmas meal out this week. Three courses but only ate 2, couldn't face the last course which was a cheese board, my stomach was too full - it doesn't particularly look like it from the outside but my stomach has shrunk. Still I managed to tuck away a fair number of calories, not going to log them as I wouldn't know where to start!
Well done to the losers this week. Millie glad to see you will be with us in the New Year - we can and will do this!!

FireflyGirl · 14/12/2016 08:23

Found our Christmas present ladies Xmas Grin

Yesterday was:
B : cereal bar
L : Chicken salad with bread and hummous
T : sausage and spinach spaghetti
Unfortunately, DS is teething and I am extremely sleep deprived, so I also had 4 party rings and most of a bag of white chocolate coins Xmas Sad We have been up since 3.30 this morning, so I can't see today being much better!

GoodQueenWenchEatsLess · 14/12/2016 10:35

Morning all,

Missed my 5k on the bike this morning - I've actually started to look forward to doing it and get myself moving but this morning I felt so bone-tired and achy and just couldn't motivate myself! breakfast was scrambled eggs with 2 rashers grilled bacon and 1 slice of seeded toast, hopefully that means I'll just have something like soup for lunch. Dh's birthday today so we are having a small family birthday tea which will include pizza, nice cheese and crackers and of course cake so although I won't go overboard, it's unlikely I'll be under my calorie allowance today. My will power can only take so much testing!

MillieMoodle · 14/12/2016 15:56

Afternoon all

Scarzo thanks for the supportive kick up the bum! Just what I need really!

Yesterday wasn't too bad, breakfast was actimel and tea. Lunch was a bit of pork pie and a tongue sandwich. Dinner was chicken tikka biryani but I had 2 chapatis. Also had a festive bakewell and a Rudolph cake. But considering it was a very stressful day where the central locking on my car failed, first locking DS2 inside and leaving me and DS1 outside, and then locking me and DS2 inside and DS1 outside, I could easily have eaten a lot more! I did go for a walk round the village pushing DS2 in his pram too.

Today has been better. Breakfast was actimel and tea. Lunch was a bowl of cornflakes. I had three mars bar bites as a snack before DS1's school play this afternoon. Just home and about to have a banana. Dinner will be chicken stir fry but DH will be home late so I need to make sure I don't snack before he's back.

Wench I haven't been back on the bike, am still getting over this cold which seems to have gone on for ever. I will try to re-start tomorrow!

Loki yes this weight loss thing is going to take me at least a year I think!
