Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

I'm back down to 9 st 9 which was my pre period wait! Had shreddies for my evening meal yesterday and did 15k steps.

Anyone recommend a sports bra? It's the only thing stopping me from exercising...

Dowser · 02/11/2016 09:14

Yes Horace that's what I hoped and come to think the tiramisu wasn't a full one..my daughter ( no, I don't want one all that cream and wheat) had her spoon in a third of it.
I ate half a fried egg, half a very tiny sausage, a piece of chicken half a slice of black pudding and a few mouthfuls of steak. My son and dh hoovered up the rest as I felt full.
Then, my stomach suddenly screamed at me...look found some room here for 2/3rds of a tiramisu lol

I had a largish g and t ...dh gives stupid measures. He knows I only like a splash and a scoop of ultra clear sustain before bedtime in water. It's full of vits and mins and non allergens...very good for leaky gut.

Dowser don't worry it wasn't that bad, and if you have a good few days sure the scales will still be in your favour!

Flesh welcome and congrats! That's great progress!

brill sorry you are still feeling pants, hope you fell better soon.. my middle dd has just come home with a sickness bug.. that's all I need! 😷

feed every sports bra I've owned haven't been able to contain me properly.. it's so annoying when they cost a fortune! I have a panache one at the moment and it's ok.. if I had a smaller chest I would be seriously fit I reckon! 😡

RonBurgundysMoustache · 02/11/2016 10:02

Horace yay for being down that kilo!

New congrats on the lack of wine.. it's hard but really does make a difference

BrillianaHarvey · 02/11/2016 10:04

Morning Ron! Am totally with you on sports bras.
Going to make some porridge now - I need to make my peace with MFP after yesterday's tiff.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 02/11/2016 10:42

Haha Brill I know the feeling.. it's a real love/hate relationship I have with that thing!!

twobambinos · 02/11/2016 11:00

Weekend eating and Monday and Tuesday was shocking. Really horrific

I did run 3 days in a row tho so I hope that balanced it out.

Im fasting now until lunch time today. Another attempt to minimise the damage

BrillianaHarvey · 02/11/2016 11:08

Hi bambinos! Have you got a nice lunch to look forward to?
MFP is starting to remind me of my mother.

Ron I had a panache but it's too big. But it was very good. Just expensive!

Dionysuss · 02/11/2016 15:00

(Waves) hello, I'm going to join you. For the past two years I've been 'dieting'. Eating cake and gallons of wine whilst willing the scales to move. I've gained weight all in my face. I don't look like me. Some old friends from school didn't recognise me recently.

I'm 5ft 6 and on Saturday was just below 13stone.

I've stayed away from dcs Halloween sweets, had porridge for breakfast, soup for lunch and have a homemade shepherds pie for dinner. No snacking.

BrillianaHarvey · 02/11/2016 16:06

Hello and welcome! Your plan for today sounds great. I hope you'll find us all friendly and supportive here!

FleshEmoji · 02/11/2016 16:13

Feed, I got on very well with M&S sports bras. Much better fit than some of the more sporty brands I tried.

chuchiface · 02/11/2016 16:47

Hello, very happy here - lost 3.5 lbs in my first week! Don't expect to lose that much again but it's a good start and I wasn't hungry at all.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 02/11/2016 17:42

Dion hello and welcome! Sounds like you are in the zone!

church well done that's fantastic!!! You must be so chuffed!

Brill how are you feeling now? feed most high street stores don't go up to my size or if they do they are extortionate prices.. it really is depressing! Sad

RonBurgundysMoustache · 02/11/2016 17:43

chuch not church stooopid phone

ImBrian · 02/11/2016 17:59

So today has been much better! Toast for breakfast, a 9bar for lunch, super bean chilli soup and rice for tea (it's awesome) and then a hobnob and packet of smarties for later.

My work trousers are getting too big so I may have to down size.

Hi Dion these threads do seem pretty helpful and motivating.

Chuch that's a cracking loss, well done Grin

Feed I have a shock absorber run bra that's really good. I'm a 32 e/f and bought a size smaller.

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 02/11/2016 19:23

Fab to see so much positivity on this thread! Smile

I'm down another 1.5lb, so that's 3.5lb so far. Down an inch on my waist too, which I'm pleased about.

Low-carb is proving to be a bit of a revelation to me - I'm almost enjoying it!

I am very chuffed Ron, just need to keep going now.

Well done to Brian and Tractor on their losses - we will crush this countdown!

I'm actually enjoying the food and not feeling deprived yet, I'm sure this can't continue :D

ethelb · 02/11/2016 19:39

I need to lose 7lbs by xmas. I have lost a stone slowly over the past year, but plateaued since the summer.

I'm intermittent fasting and calorie counting on other days.

BrillianaHarvey · 02/11/2016 22:04

Evening all! Out this evening for sushi (not ceviche after all - long story). Ate two tempura prawns but otherwise was pretty good. Apart from two glasses of cava and one of white wine.
Willed myself to feel better so either I have triumphed over the forces of darkness or I will feel extra shit tomorrow.
Also I don't know how to tell MFP about the prawn tempura.
Sounds like we've all had a good day today!

Dowser · 03/11/2016 00:25

No sugar today
Omelette
Gram flour pizza
Cheese and gluten free crackers...4 of them for dinner

Just endeth my first week

Welcome Dion.
This thread is keeping my motivated. Very emotional time. Lost my mum yesterday so don't want to indulge in a big chocolate fest.
