Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

Be kind to yourself Dowser, and don't worry too much about dieting right now.

I got my Cambridge weigh in and was 2lb down from last week. This morning on my scales I'm 9st 0.4lb - so close!

Yesterday I exchanged breakfast for a coffee with milk - such a treat as I really don't like it black. That gave me more calories for adding protein to my evening rice meal, so I'll carry on with that today.

Hello all the other new people!

ImBrian · 03/11/2016 06:56

Horrace it's one of the glorious fresh soups from ASDA. Half a container is only about 130 calories and it's really filling and more like a watery chilli then soup. It's called Mexican super bean sweet potato soup. If I can't be bothered to cook (often) then this with some rice makes a huge tea.

Dowser so sorry to hear about your Mam xx

Well done Flesh

I had some frozen grapes last night, they're brilliant and stop me raiding the fridge. I've got frozen pineapple sticks as well which someone recommended. Any other ideas for picky under 100 calorie snacks?

I'm a 1lb down this morning so I'm 9st12 Smile, 4 more lb and I'll be happy and just need to tone up a bit.

BrillianaHarvey · 03/11/2016 07:23

So sorry to hear your news, Dowser. Look after yourself.

Dionysuss · 03/11/2016 08:14

Sorry to hear that Dowser xx

I struggle in the evenings with nibbling in the kitchen. Last night I mopped so I couldn't go in there.Blush

The last few days I've eaten loads less wheat and I am so much unbloated. A few people asked if I was pregnant lately. I think low/no wheat might be the way forward.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 03/11/2016 08:31

Dowser so very sorry to hear your news, take care of yourself Flowers

People doing so well on here.. keep it up ladies

Dowser · 03/11/2016 10:48

Thank you all so much . I only put it on this thread ( I have another thread running) as I don't want to use mum's passing as an excuse to stuff my face.
I'm not one of those people who go off food when times are bad , far from it.

I love all your weight losses.
Everyone seems to be doing so well

I've no idea how I'm doing. I had no snacks, sweets or seconds so I hope I'm doing ok. I did have about 2 0z of cheese for dinner with 4 crackers and I've fasted for 15 hours so Im hoping my weight is going in the right direction.
I found my wedding dress ( from last year) I could try that on.

Have a good ( food) day everyone. I'm aiming for 9-13 . I've never been in the 9's for 15 years.
If I look too scrawny or wrinkled I'd have to put a few more lbs on though.

And both wedding dresses fit..but boobs are aquashed, can't breathe, can't eat in them.
Quite shameful really
So onwards and upwards.

If they're on then you're almost there Grin

I've had a lemon and poppy seed muffin and skinny latte from Starbucks for lunch and just had roast butternut squash, pumpkin and sweet potato with chilli flakes for tea. Smarties and a frozen pineapple finger are my snacks for later. I'm far too excited about turning teas leftovers into a chilli with lentils tomorrow!

Dowser · 03/11/2016 18:51

Lol..yes they're on
I'm got a thumping head and craving chocolate like crazy. I have a stash in he fridge.
I'm keeping out of the kitchen. I'm going to lie down while dh cooks dinner.
Turkey stir fry.

Met up with FD today. Emptied mums belongings from nursing home. They hadn't touched her room so was pleased with that and they sent me a beautiful white flower arrangement.
Called in pub that is doing the refreshments. Lady makes her own pies and is catering for the gluten frees and is cheaper than some of the others, so she gets the business.
Just music, speech, colour of flowers and photos to sort..

Flowers for you Dowser - I'm sorry for your loss.

I've had a good-ish day - did finish off some G&B chocolate earlier, but now it's gone, and there's no junk in the house at all, so I'm back on the wagon with a vengeance for the weekend. I am really tired though, so think an early night is on the cards - quite jealous of the DCs going to bed now Blush

BrillianaHarvey · 03/11/2016 20:36

Felt rubbish this morning but dragged myself to a hair appointment. Hairdresser appalled at my ghastly appearance and immediately procured a magic Elle Macpherson green smoothie thing with added elixir powder which actually really hit the spot. Then when I got home my housekeeper was equally shocked and made me what she claimed was a Brazilian ginger tea and was beyond disgusting but bloody hell it worked. Can now smell and taste and no longer sound like Rod Stewart.
So I had spelt salad with roasted peppers and broccoli.
Proper weigh in tomorrow!

FleshEmoji · 04/11/2016 05:11

Wow, Brilliana, I need your hairdresser and housekeeper. All mine does is a mug of builder's or instant coffee.

BrillianaHarvey · 04/11/2016 07:37

If I am blunt., the hairdressers' is un peu up itself and likes to think of itself as a 'lifestyle concept salon', hence the smoothie. But the guy who does my hair is wonderful and makes up for all the wafty bollocks.
Weight-in this morning - 10.8! Five pounds off, admittedly mainly through the non-dietician-endorsed method of feeling too shit to eat anything.

Dionysuss · 04/11/2016 08:05

Weighed in this morning at 12st 4lb, 3 down from last week.

BrillianaHarvey · 04/11/2016 08:13

Great news, Dionysuss! I might even risk an emoji: GrinHaloStar

twobambinos · 04/11/2016 08:58

I'm sorry about your mom dowser Flowers
Keep up the good work everyone. I've not lost anything this week was good for the first 3 days but shocking after it.
I'm going to try low carbing this week now and see if that helps. And will do some exercise today on the exercise bike

BrillianaHarvey · 04/11/2016 09:05

Just be glad of the 3 good days.
I did low-carbing a few years ago when I was carrying a lot of baby weight and it worked really well for me. Lost 10lbs in the first fortnight. It can be pretty miserable at the very beginning but I found after a few days the results were sufficient motivation. The other thing to say is that you have to be really strict in following the plan for the first couple of weeks - a cheeky glass of wine will undo everything.

feedmelollipops · 04/11/2016 09:11

Everyone is doing so well!

Had to eat out with friends last night. Burger and sweet potato fries. They only did burgers. Only ate half the fries but also had 1 cocktail and 1.5 strawberry beers. Was so good I don't feel guilty. Just hungover.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 04/11/2016 09:56

Morning ladies

Weight is the same as Tuesday so only a pound off.. which I am slightly gutted about was hoping for at least 2lb! But hey ho.. mustn't let it get to me and have a blow out! Will be good! Grin.

Eyeveryone is going so well!

Ron what is the loss over the last seven days? Three days isn't really long enough.
Horrace well done! Every day without splurging is a good day.
lollipops sounds as though you were pretty self-disciplined in the circumstances!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 04/11/2016 12:38

Brill the 1lb is over the last 7 days I had a cheeky weigh in Tuesday and was a pound down was just hoping by today I may have dropped one more but hey one down is better than one up!

BrillianaHarvey · 04/11/2016 13:44

Quite. And there isa school of thought which says 1lb is the most actual fat you can lose in a week. So stay positive!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 04/11/2016 13:50

Thanks brill won't be disheartened by it!

Hopefully next week may see a little more than 1lb down..

Hope everyone has a good Friday night! WineCakeChocolateHalo
