Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

Morning ladies..

Lets forget about the bad day, today is a new one and we can claw it back before any real damage is done.. don't worry!

Had an ok day yesterday and should be good today, but am out for a bday meal and drinks on sat so I'm hoping I can be semi good! Blush

BrillianaHarvey · 17/11/2016 10:39

Had a totally pants evening. Well, had a lovely evening, but...
Bombay mix type stuff at the bar with a glass of champagne. Iced lobster soufflé which was mostly cream and Melba toast and a glass of white wine. Steak tartare and two (enormous) chips and a glass of red. Then they brought a little dish of Minstrels with coffee and I absent-mindedly ate most of them.
Have had my breakfast porridge today but need to be very strict at meals!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 17/11/2016 12:26

Sounds like you had a lovely evening Brill don't feel too bad, today is a new day and we still have 38 days to go.. we can do it!

Horace that's brilliant, well done! By xmas sure those 12's will be comfortable!

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 17/11/2016 20:23

Brill - that sounds like an amazing evening, albeit not the most diet friendly Wink

Horrace - go you! That's fabulous.

I've lost my 1lb that was hanging around, which leaves me...pretty much where I was this time last week Blush - but soldiering on, and channeling Ron - we can do it!! Grin

BrillianaHarvey · 17/11/2016 22:39

Evening all! Horrace, you're doing amazingly! Two dress sizes is a life-changing amount of weight to lose.
I have not been a beacon of healthy eating, or indeed sensible eating, today.
Porridge for breakfast. Decided to skip lunch but then caved and ate a Crimbles macaroon again (God they're good) and then a Fox's cookie. Had to go out in the early evening to a meeting so had planned not to have dinner but came home to discover large boy and medium boy groaning over the remnants of a Chinese having ordered far too much. So I had a spring roll and some noodles and a few prawn crackers. And a glass of wine.
Have to go out tomorrow evening too, but it will be Pizza Express so I shall order a Leggera pizza and try to stay off the wine.
Saturday we're having people round to dinner and Sunday we're out to lunch.
So the next few days are going to be quite difficult.

feedmelollipops · 18/11/2016 07:16

Mmm Chinese food. I can't remember the last time I had any as my DH isn't keen. Probably a good thing really..

I've finally managed to lose 2 lbs! This is despite my return to work and buying lunch from the cafe twice! Although once was a rather disgusting soup so won't make that mistake again..

BrillianaHarvey · 18/11/2016 08:17

Great news lollipops!
I weighed in this morning and am exactly the same as a week ago, which is pretty cheering really. Just need to lay off the dough balls tonight.

Dowser · 18/11/2016 10:40

Right back on track and yesterday was a pretty good day...two quality street and two pieces of moser Roth chocolate. Omelette for brekkie.
Meat and veg for dinner.
Oh and a g and t
Fasted from 6-30 pm until 10 am

Going to do well today

Some of you have big challenges this weekend. I might ( I just don't know about them yet ) lol

Hope you manage to side step the pit falls. I find social eating very difficult. It's like my brain switches off when I get into a social setting.

Up and out early today. So better crack on.
Have a good day everyone.
May all your cheats be little, teensy, tiny ones.

Great post!
I find it so hard not to eat food when it's sitting in front of me! Sounds as though you're managing to hold the line though.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 18/11/2016 12:01

Morning all..

Hope everyone has a good weekend, we can all have a night off every now and then!
Mine is tomorrow night hope I don't do too much damage!

I've lost another pound so finally broken into the lower stone bracket now.. hooray but still a long way to go before I feel comfortable that I will stay there!

Dowser · 18/11/2016 15:21

Just a fun size ( really...fun size to me would feed a family for a week) mars bar fell into my mouth during the new movie fantastic beasts.

Good job my grandchildren turned up or a few more might have bitten the dust.
Now in Nando's and I'm having a quarter chicken with rice. That's it.

Supper...I don't know. Maybe a small snack.

1000 calories is fine, Horace - just hold it there!
Back from my dinner. Feeling very self-disciplined. A Pizza Express Leggera Padana and two glasses of Pinot Grigio.
Now to stay strong tomorrow ...

Way to go, Horrace!

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 19/11/2016 10:22

Well done Horrace! And well done Brill for the self-control!

My scales have died a death - so not entirely sure what I am, or indeed, how accurate they were prior to death Blush

Quite a lot bucket of red wine was consumed last night, but nothing else planned for the weekend, so I should stay 'good'. There's a massive low carb moussaka sitting in the oven just now - smells amazing Grin

BrillianaHarvey · 19/11/2016 10:52

Ooh low carb moussaka sounds fab - what's in it?

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 19/11/2016 11:04

It's this recipe Brill link - I've just used creme fraiche instead of the cream. Kitchen smells fab Grin

Dowser · 19/11/2016 11:47

I had a small gram flour pizza with chorizo, cheese and tomato purée, one chocolate and a g and t all about 7-30pm
havent broken my fast yet.

Will see on wedding dress day if things fit any better or I'm just kidding myself
Love the way you're all doing well even with little indulgences. That's how it should be.
Life is for living.
On Wednesday we will be four weeks in.
Anyone want to post their total weight loss on that day?

Dowser · 19/11/2016 20:59

So omelette about 12 and lunch was a fried fish and a few fish...tried to avoid batter but hands up...some fell into my mouth.

After a particularly harrowing drive across the moors in the dark as I was tired, I poured myself a small gin with a largish fever tree tonic.

And two squares of chocolate. That was dinner.

Peace has been restored.
