Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

Yep I'm up for that Brill I find I'm good all week and hen start letting it slip at weekends as both husband and kids want to have treats which is fine I just need to be strong and not undo all my hard work in the week, I will still have the odd treat as I won't deprive myself but I need to have it in moderation!

So...my feeling virtuous didn't last long, realised I mis-read the nutritional info on the AF wine, and it was full of sugar, so I totally blew my carb intake Blush

Back on the straight and narrow today Smile

BrillianaHarvey · 14/11/2016 19:50

Oh Tractors! No alcohol and full of sugar - what's the point? Hope you haven't felt too downcast today.

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 14/11/2016 20:01

I know Brill! Next time, I'll just have that damn glass of sauv blanc! Grin

Well done Horrace! I managed a good evening of lamb cutlets with roasted courgettes. Hopefully I will see some better results on the scales tomorrow.

That's good to hear, Horrace. I'm still half a pound heavier than Friday. So don't want to get into that cycle of spending the week undoing the damage from the weekend.

Dowser · 15/11/2016 10:08

Memo to oneself...leave the bloody quality street alone
And what is it with the cheese!!!

Omelette this morning. Steak tonight...not sure about lunch.
Back on track today.
At least coming here and confessing brings me back into line.
It's a marathon not a sprint.

Dowser · 15/11/2016 20:04

Other meals were as above.

I'm back on the wagon today - chicken, leek and broccoli casserole for dinner, very tasty and even the DCs agreed Shock Grin

Scales still 1lb up, but as Dowser wisely pointed out - it's a marathon, not a sprint, so as long as I keep myself on the wagon, the scales are bound to start moving down again Smile

BrillianaHarvey · 15/11/2016 20:47

Skipped lunch and then had a pack of Snack a Jacks as was starving. Dinner steak with herb dressing and watercress salad. Re-establishing momentum I think.

Oh Horrace I'm so sorry. These things can come absolutely out of nowhere and make you feel as though you've just waked through a gale.
Focus, if you can, on everything that's gone well today.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 16/11/2016 08:09

Horace sorry to hear that, but well done for not comfort eating afterwards.. that's fab!

Hope everyone is ok today... it's cold and wet here brrrrrr ☔️

Dowser · 16/11/2016 11:38

Wednesday is wedding dress day.
Heaved my bulk into them...yes could still breathe.

I'm particularly thin right now...as in I'm not carrying any excess water ( unlike the summer ) , so skinny legs etc so not classing this as true weight ..iyswim

So that's three weeks today. Another two and I might believe it.

We had rocket, steak and Parmesan last night...very lovely.

Confessed to dh that I've been sneaking quality street.

Right, glad I've got that off my chest lol

( he ate his shortcake biscuit yesterday despite proclaiming to be gf )

Stay strong Horace..well done for not reaching for the choccy.

I went to my session with a mind counsellor yesterday and ended up , well the pair of us , me and dh going to a mindfulness group in the evening. It's a drop in group and was very interesting.

Worth giving a try if anyone else needs a bit of calm and relaxation.

We might get around to mindful eating. That might prove useful

Well done Dowser, Brill and Horrace - sounds like good days all round.

My scales seem to be stuck 1lb up Hmm but I'm staying on track, so we'll see what happens. My portion sizes are getting smaller, so I think that will help too. It's freezing here tonight so maybe shivering in the cold will help melt some of my blubber off Wink.

Dowser · 16/11/2016 21:54

Argh

Downhill all the way.
I might as well have done a lap of honour around the quality street tin!
Well I had two.
Had my soup at lunch

And then

Went to daughters. Shared two big packs of doritos between 3 of us. My grandson had a few with dips.
A decent sized g and t
3 marshmallow s
2 squares of chocolate

Pork and veg when we came in which I didn't really want but dh wouldn't have had anything decent.

Draw a line under it.

Aargh!
