Just got back from holiday this morning and while I feel like I've stayed the same or even lost a bit ( I don't weigh myself as I don't want reasons to celebrate or commiserate) I want to continue with the healthy eating I did while there

I was pretty careful . Limited myself to one treat a day, a gluten free cake , ice cream lolly with chocolate and nuts around.

I never bought any chocolate ( unusual for me). Very few potatoes. I found veg and protein was enough in that heat.
Not a big drinker. A gin and tonic for me is a tonic with a splash of gin a couple of times a day and we walked for miles.

So....I have a wedding coming up next year and I have four lovely dresses to choose from. Two I got married in ( knee length rather than bridal). One champagne, other a kindd of French beige. I can get them zipped but can't breathe in them.

Then I have a pale green and a pale pink. They are unworn as they were new last year and I couldn't wear them as I'd put some weight on.

So...my plan is to practice healthy eating and intermittent fasting till Christmas.

My usual breakfast omelette but this time allowing more than 13 hours of fasting between dinner the night before and breakfast. Green soup. Today's looked putrid but tasted fine. It was a rich dark blue green as a teaspoon of spirulina went in as well. Plus a few cashews and a bit of feta

Tonight will be homemade turkey curry. Eaten by 7 to allow for the fast.

I don't want to go back to chocolate or crisps when I snack.
It's going to be painful as Im Already gluten and mostly dairy free, so I can only cut back on sugary snacks and it's so much cooler here so I want to eat.

I'm also going to look into mindful eating.

Anyone with me till Christmas.

Then it will be a couple of days off. Then back on till our next break in march where I'll have to watch myself for the wedding in may.

I like to have a goal.

I'd count that as a success Horrace Smile - and yes, I'm heading to bed with a lemsip very soon!

BrillianaHarvey · 10/11/2016 07:20

Hope you're feeling better this morning Tractors! Caved last night and had a glass of wine - reflected on the scales this morning. Will stay strong today!
1500 calories is perfectly in order, Horrace - stay positive.

How are you feeling today? More human I hope!

Dowser · 10/11/2016 09:35

Too late Horace but I stopped at three...I resisted a gin though.

I was just resting on the bed ( trying to stay awake ) watching a couple of episodes of lost when my cousin rang at 8-30 to say they had arrived from Wales. It had taken then 7 hours.
Now if there's one person I love in the world it's my amazing cousin.
I tried to tempt them up to our house with pizza and snacks but no, they wanted Chinese...hadn't eaten all day.
So as tired and yuck as I felt I just thought if my cousin can drive all this way for me the least I can do is drive across town for them.

So the damage
4 prawn crackers
3 spare ribs
Chicken and mushroom soup
A small portion of chicken in peanut satay sauce
Tablespoon of boiled rice
1 tonic water

Finished eating around 10-30 so didn't want to overload myself. It's one of those banquets where everything is cooked fresh and you just keep on ordering.

So it's mums funeral today. The sun has been shining. Last night was 0 degrees and freezing fog. So hope it's milder today.
Big eating day today.
Shall draw a line under it . At least I got some sleep last night.

Dowser hope today is as ok as it can be.. don't worry about anything apart from giving your mum a marvellous send off.

Horace hope you feel better today, but yay for the loss!

Tractors hope the lurge hasn't got hold of you fully!

Brill one glass is fine, something's it makes dieting/cutting down more bareable to have a treat every now and again..we still have 44 days until xmas so it's plenty of time!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 10/11/2016 09:48

BrillianaHarvey · 10/11/2016 10:21

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 10/11/2016 17:27

Thoughts are with you Dowser, I hope today has gone as well as can be expected Flowers

Hope everyone else is doing well Smile

I am officially lurgied a mild cold but I don't mind, as I'm down another 2lbs Wink Happy days!

Dowser · 10/11/2016 23:25

I'm done in.
Mums funeral was beautiful. Everything went well. Flowers were lovely. Music just wonderful. The reverend gave a really lovely tribute. My speech went well.
It was nice to connect with family, mums old neighbours and so on

Ate quite a bit at the lunchtime buffet. Including two meringues.

Ate even more at the evening meal including tiramisu.

Drawing a line under it.

Mums flowers are on my dining table.

I just go in and have a little look and think about the special person I've lost.

Aaaargh!
Thank you for your support.

Gracious me if a girl can't have two meringues and a tiramisu on a day like today, what is the world coming to?
Well done on your speech - I hope it wasn't too much of an ordeal.
So glad the day went off smoothly. Look after yourself.

Dowser · 11/11/2016 00:12

Thank you so much Harvey.

Feeling a bit sad tonight.
These two weeks since I got home from Tenerife have been a whirlwind .
I've never stopped sorting, organising...making sure everything went well.
While the reverend was doing his final speech, I started to dowse.
Mum and dad were there plus my grandparents and she loved her flowers and my choice of music for her. So that was a comfort.
The reverends mother was a Dowser so I had no qualms about being caught red handed.

And now sleep ...I hope.

Morning all! Weigh in day today: 10.5, so eight pounds in total; over half way to target!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 11/11/2016 08:17

Dowser glad it went smoothly and your mum had a lovely service, and don't worry about what you ate it doesn't matter.

Brill well done that's fantastic! You must be so chuffed!

Weigh in for me too lost 3lb this week so have lost 7lb in just over 3 weeks so quite happy with that! If I can loose another 7-10lb by xmas I will be over the moon!

BrillianaHarvey · 11/11/2016 08:40

Thanks Ron! Clothes now noticeably looser.
Well done on yours - that slinky little number is in sight!

Dowser · 11/11/2016 08:48

Good weight losses there girls.
Sleep did not come...well about 3 hours worth
In my head I'm going down a motorway at 100 mph, I need to chug along a country lane in a horse and cart.

RonBurgundysMoustache · 11/11/2016 08:49

Thanks Brill my clothes are the same, my jeans are now baggy in all the wrong places which isn't the most flattering look though!

Am hoping to loose some more before I go and buy any new stuff!

BrillianaHarvey · 11/11/2016 09:29

Sorry you had a bad night, Dowser. Loving the metaphor though - I know exactly what you mean.
Going to brace the bra shop today. Have been putting it off for the longest time as was hoping to lose some weight first. So all mine are grubby and vile at the moment.
Buying bras is something I hate with a passion, so send me some good vibes!

RonBurgundysMoustache · 11/11/2016 11:40

Best of luck Brill you are a braver woman than I!!! Grin

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 11/11/2016 14:09

Brill - that's a very brave mission!

Appetite has disappeared (because I'm full of bleugh), so took the opportunity to have a quick dash around the supermarket and we're now stocked up with healthy things for the weekend, plus some chocolate for the DCs Grin

I know I've said it before, but this thread really is motivating - you're all doing so well! Smile

RonBurgundysMoustache · 11/11/2016 14:14

Tractors hope you feel better soon, and well done for braving the shops when you feel like crap!

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 11/11/2016 14:18

Thanks Ron - it is just a cold, but a weekend wrapped up in a duvet will sort me out Smile

Hope you all have a lovely Friday night, and Dowser I hope your brain lets you put the handbrake on soon Smile

BrillianaHarvey · 11/11/2016 17:10

Ok guys so having lost 8lbs I have gone from 32G to officially a 32HH. There were literally 3 bras in the whole of Bravissimo that fitted, two of which were so vile as to be able to be used for contraceptive purposes.
I bought them all in a pathetic gesture of gratitude towards the sales lady who had worked so hard to accommodate my monstrous body.
So a day which began with me feeling agreeably foxy ended with self-loathing and despair.

Dowser · 11/11/2016 19:28

Awww..that's upover.
Don't understand that.
