I know there is a thread for active weight loss but a quick look shows its already started and seems to be followed by those who have 1 to 2 stone to lose. This positive support thread is for us heavier ones with the short term goal to lose 2 stone by Christmas.

Some will remember my weight loss journey. Several stones lost and several more to go. I thought it might be nice for us to boast about our losses or cry about our gains together. Support with no judgement.

Weigh in tonight- another 11/2 down- ok but not amazing. How's everyone else doing?

Mummyme87 · 11/10/2016 06:09

So fell off the wago this weekend. Had the in laws here 😖

LottieDoubtie · 11/10/2016 08:32

Oh dear mummy that's tough- are you back on it now?

PinkFreesia · 11/10/2016 09:23

Hi everyone, well done on all the weight losses and welcome to new joiners. There's still time to lose 2 stone before the end of the year. :)

Sorry I've not been around. I've really struggled with getting my mojo back but I think I'm almost there now. Anyway an update on my weightloss - 9lbs down in total so that leaves 1stone 5lbs left to lose for the 2stone target.

Yesterday I started to use my fitbit again and did 16,000 steps! Today I'm about to set off to do 10,000 and then maybe some gardening. Working the rest of the week so I'm trying to get in as much as I can now.

What's everyone else doing for exercise? I was reading that 2000 steps = 1 mile which in turn = 100 calories burned. Makes me envi0ous of people who can and like running.

On that note have a good week everyone x

Well done Starface x.
Get some wear out of those clothes - you'll have to buy new ones soon :)

Lol. Thanks Freesia. I have 2 pairs of trousers that fit, but I'm too tight to buy more given that I plan to lose the same again! So I will be getting good wear from them!

PinkFreesia · 11/10/2016 12:08

I've got 2 pairs of jeans which I've been wearing recently and today one of them feels just a bit bigger and isn't that such a great feeling? I wore these jeans on my honeymoon 9 years ago which is the last time I was this size.

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't posted for a while. Had a good week last week (3.5 lbs off Smile) giving a total of 4 stones Grin. I'm not very good at sticking to the plan at weekends though - it's the Wine Blush. Trying to sort out an outfit for my son's wedding, which is on November 5th and it's lovely to have more choice now I'm closer to a 'normal' size, although also a bit daunting.... Pink you asked about exercise - all I do at the mo is walk with my dogs. I have severe arthritis in both knees, but had steroid injections which helped with the pain. Having lost a bit of weight I'm starting to feel like I might be up for something a bit more energetic, but am not sure where to start...any suggestions welcome Smile!

LottieDoubtie · 11/10/2016 16:29

I'm wearing a jacket today that was too tight a month ago- feels loose! Very weird feeling but also Grin

well done scratchy. 4 stones is a few dress sizes smaller I think :)

I wonder if your arthritis will become more bearable with the weightloss?
At the moment I'm just walking but I'm trying to walk faster so i'm not just plodding along iyswim..I am also feeling like I might just join the gym and not just walk around it - ha ha

Lottie I tried on a pair of jeans this morning that I bought with the intention of slimming into them (about 7 years ago!) - they fit and I'm so happy. I'm a little sad that hopefully by Christmas they will be too big though. wishfull thinking.

It's a double edged sword isn't it?

I tried on a coat this morning that I haven't worn since pre 2 year old DS- it fits!

Starface · 12/10/2016 21:21

Well done everyone. I fell off the wagon at the weekend too. Me and the two DC have all had hideous colds, and I just wanted to eat comfort food... But no massive gains, just stagnation, which I can more than live with.

Well done Lottie and Pink. Scratchy - 4 stone is a huge achievement! Should really help the arthritis too.

I walk only too. Fast enough to build up a sweat. But when I go back to work I am going to need a different solution because it won't fit in. Hmmm.

PinkFreesia · 13/10/2016 10:37

I'm definitely an emotional eater and I hate it.

Lots of little things didn't go my way or as planned yesterday and all of a sudden I'm eating all the low fat crisps and low fat cereal bars that I can lay my hands on and then had low fat cheese on toast. Thank god the stuff in my house is low calories and I don't have any proper treat foods.

I had a really god weigh in yesterday and my total weight loss is 7 stone and 4lbs and after a year of dieting I get its going to be hard but why do I sabotage myself for such little things? fair enough if I crashed the car or lost my lottery ticket but otherwise there shouldn't be any excuses...

so, off I go to do my exercise to walk off the diet food I just HAD to eat yesterday..

Hi can I join please? I joined a weight loss thread a few months ago but didn't get very far but I really am ready to shift this weight. I lost 3 stone few years ago through weight watchers pro points but have since gained 20lbs of it back Blush

I'm going back to propoints, have tried ww newest plan and it just doesn't work for me. I really want the weight gone In 10 weeks but at 2lb a week it seems a little unrealistic but I'll give it my best shot!

pillowaddict · 13/10/2016 19:24

I so need to join. I need to lose five stone and lost a stone and a half earlier this year - put half a stone nearly back on since my holiday and shit at work leading to comfort eating!

MagdaMagyarMadam · 13/10/2016 21:38

Just a quick update - I've lost 1 stone 1 1/2lbs in 4 weeks now at SW. I have to say going to the class has really helped me - I know the classes are not for everyone but our consultant is really fantastic.

LottieDoubtie · 14/10/2016 06:52

Welcome new people happy to have you.

my slimming world consultant is good too but the petulant teen inside me isn't quite ready to admit that yet.

I had a good food day yesterday but pretty terrible Wednesday DH went to the chippy fingers crossed I can stay back on track until weigh in Monday...

Tuktuktaker · 14/10/2016 07:03

Hello, everyone, forgot to post earlier in the week - have lost 1.5lbs since my first post here so hope to be on target for the 1lb a week loss till Christmas. Fingers crossed!
Good luck to everyone else on here!

aliceinwanderland · 14/10/2016 07:20

Hi. Joining in as I've manage to lose about half a stone on my own. Getting stuck now and bad habits creeping back. This always happens and I never get passes this point. I probably wouldn't lose 2 stone by Christmas but I'd be happy with half of that. Also need motivation now that autumn has set in properly here.

Bunnyjo · 15/10/2016 21:28

Weighed myself this morning and have lost another 2lb, giving me a total weight loss of 21.5lb in a little over 6 weeks. I'm now 13st 0.5lb and so very close to being 12-something, which just sounds so much better than 13-something, even if the actual difference is only 1lb!

Congratulations to those celebrating weight losses. Wow, scratchy, 4st makes my 1.5st pale into insignificance - what an achievement!

Starface · 15/10/2016 23:54

It's so true Bunny, watching those numbers go down is a great incentive. I like to beat targets, which is why I think the calorie counter has worked well for me. I saw a new number today, which was great. There's been a lot of sickness and some crazy nights this week so everything is all over the place. But big plans to get back in the game this week!

SisterViktorine · 16/10/2016 08:26

I would like to jump in please. I have more to lose, but I'm just going to think about the first 2 stone by Christmas.

First day today- must REMEMBER that when I'm at the supermarket later!!
