I know there is a thread for active weight loss but a quick look shows its already started and seems to be followed by those who have 1 to 2 stone to lose. This positive support thread is for us heavier ones with the short term goal to lose 2 stone by Christmas.

Some will remember my weight loss journey. Several stones lost and several more to go. I thought it might be nice for us to boast about our losses or cry about our gains together. Support with no judgement.

Been to my SW weigh in tonight. Lost 5.5lbs so thats 8.5lbs in 2 weeks. Im very happy with that Grin

LottieDoubtie · 28/09/2016 08:31

Well done! 😃

Bunnyjo · 28/09/2016 13:29

I know I am very late to the party, but can I join too?

I have read through the thread and found it very inspiring; not just the posts from people celebrating their weight loss, but the support shown to other people who are struggling for whatever reason.

Like most of you, I have multiple stones to lose and my starting weight was 14st 8lb - the heaviest I have ever been. I have been monitoring my weight loss since just after the Bank Holiday weekend and, so far, I have lost 15.5lbs. At the moment I am just logging my food and drink intake with MFP and using my Fitbit to log any daily exercise.

In all honesty, I would love to be below 12st by the end of 2016, which would mean losing another 21lb between now and then. However, I'd be happy with any consistent loss between now and then.

Well done to all those celebrating weight losses so far!

Stellar67 · 28/09/2016 13:33

Well done everyone! I'm eating fruit today like my life depends upon it.

Welcome Bunnyjo.

Mummyme87 · 28/09/2016 13:51

Late to the party. Had my DS just over 2years ago and kept piling the weight on. I did SW at the start of this year and lost 1st 7lb then fell off the wagon. I rejoined 2weeks ago and lost 5lb in my first week. 2nd weigh in tonight. I want to lose 6stone in total, ideally 2 stone minimum by end of November as we want to TTC DC2 and I don't want a BMI over 30!!

babyand · 28/09/2016 21:49

Hi guys well done on all the brilliant weightlosses!! I had my second sw weigh in tonight lost 2lbs so got my 1/2 stone award! Hope I can stay on track this week id love to have a stone gone by a night out I have the 22nd of oct xx

Mummyme87 · 28/09/2016 22:12

2nd weigh in here too and lost 2lb. 1/2stone award

Imnotaslimjim · 29/09/2016 10:23

Whoop lots of losses again, well done everyone!

I finally faced the scales, gained 2lb. I'm not surprised tbh, had a few days off plan and AF arrived Tuesday and I always gain then. Back on plan now and got HIIT tonight so I'll have it back off soon.

stressjug · 29/09/2016 10:42

Hi folks, I know I'm very late, but can I join in pls?
I had set myself a minimum 21lb target by christmas 4 weeks ago and I've lost 7 so far. I am low carbing as a life long dieter this is the only proven way for my weight to come off.
8 years ago i was 17-4 at my heaviest and had managed to get down to 13-10 in between babies. I am 12-7 atm but want to eventually get to 10 stone.
Actually feeling really positive this time but extra support can't hurt Wink

scratchypoopants · 30/09/2016 09:49

Hi all and fab losses all round and welcome to the newcomers - I wonder how much everyone on the thread lost collectively over the last couple of weeks???

Anyway, today's my weekly weigh in day and I'm 1.5 lbs down. Mildly disappointed if I'm honest, but at least it's in the right direction and I did have rather a large blip last weekend - I seem to struggle with weekends. Will try not to make the same mistakes this week. Onwards and upwards!

Bunnyjo · 30/09/2016 13:52

Thanks for the welcome, ladies. Well done to those celebrating weight loss and sending encouragement to those who haven't.

Losing weight isn't easy and, as the darker nights draw in, it is tempting to reach for the comfort of stodge. I am trying to remind myself that getting to this size didn't happen overnight, therefore the reversal process is going to take time too. Where I failed before is I treated my diet is a temporary fixture to achieve weight loss; now I fully understand that my diet has to change permanently. That doesn't mean I cannot enjoy the occasional treat, but the key word is occasional.

I have lost another lb since Wednesday; giving me a total weight loss of 16.5lb, and I'm now 20lb off being under 12st. I have recently come on my period though, so whether I lose any more this week remains to be seen...

LottieDoubtie · 01/10/2016 07:43

I've had a mixed week food wise but I did have a good day yesterday so I'm cautiously hopeful.

Managed to avoid falling off the bandwagon yesterday by imagining the SW scales showdown on Monday.

scratchypoopants · 02/10/2016 10:19

Just wanted to share a happy weight loss moment. Found myself sitting comfortably with my legs crossed this morning Grin...it's been ages since I've been able to do that! It's the little things that make it all worthwhile Grin!

Imnotaslimjim · 02/10/2016 11:42

That's a great non-scale achievement scratchy well done! And congratulations to everyone celebrating losses, you're all doing great.

I did a "caveman" HIIT session yesterday and out of 20 exercises there was only 3 I had to modify. 2 weeks ago I only got through half of I'm definitely getting stronger.

Weigh in for me tomorrow.

Imnotaslimjim · 03/10/2016 09:34

Weigh in for me - only 1lb off which I'm disappointed with, was hoping to be back to my pre-gain weight at least. Never mind, can only try again. Going shopping for plenty of fresh fruit to snack on. Aiming to drink 2 litres of water too.

LottieDoubtie · 04/10/2016 06:06

A good result for me last night at weigh in 3 1/2 lbs down!

Tuktuktaker · 04/10/2016 09:21

Hello, everyone, I know I'm a month late for this, but I have a huge amount to lose to get back to the 10st 12lbs I used to be before I just let myself go and stopped weighing myself or looking in the mirror. I am so heavy I am not going to tell you how much it is, just that I would like to start by trying to lose 1lb a week from now until Christmas, which means an 11lb loss and would take me to the next stone down. Exercise is difficult for me as I have trouble walking and am in pain a lot of the time; I also enjoy wine and carbs far too much. Is it OK if I post here just to talk to people, if you see what I mean?

Imnotaslimjim · 04/10/2016 09:45

Well done Lottie, thats fab!

Hi Tuktuk and welcome! Sounds like you have a great goal to work towards.

LottieDoubtie · 06/10/2016 10:05

Thanks imnota you too.

It's all gone quiet in here- how is everyone?

Imnotaslimjim · 06/10/2016 12:18

It has quietened down hasn't it?

I'm doing ok food wise and been sticking to my HIIT classes. I'm really happy with how they're going. Only exercises I have to modify now are ones in press-up positions (so burpees and the like) it will be a while before I can do them as my arms aren't strong enough but I'm loving the exercises!

Bunnyjo · 06/10/2016 22:04

Hello all,

It is quiet, I feel bad as I've only posted twice. Alas, I have began my MRes this week and my poor little brain needs a rest!

Hoping everyone is having a good week. Well done, lottie, that's a fab weight loss and I am hoping the scales are kinder to you, Imnota. I'm sure I've lost weight since I last weighed myself, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow morning. Apart from 7 fruit pastilles on my birthday Blush I've not strayed. I'm eating between 1000 and 1200 calories and walking for a couple of hours most days (it helps me clear my head after studying too).

Back to the study now!

Mummyme87 · 06/10/2016 22:35

3rd week in and 1lb off. 8lb in total. I was a bit disappointed with that, really wanted 2lb off but that's what happens when you indulge in too much Indian takeaway and demolish a Terry's chocolate orange ☺️

Bunnyjo · 07/10/2016 07:31

Lost 3lb this week, hurrah! Now lost 19.5lb since starting and I should be in the next stone bracket in the next couple of weeks.

Starface · 07/10/2016 07:50

Hello ladies. I have been absent, sorry.
my updates: coming off steadily. Since 9th August I have lost a stone and a half. I've about the same to go and am v happy with progress. As others have said, getting into clothes I haven't worn for years is great.
