mummypoppins · 29/01/2007 12:28

well done bendigo blue.............that is is the hardest. I have a 4Oth B day party on sat night which I dont really want to go too anyway as DH is away and I will have to go on my own.

Its a buffet so hopefully I can avoid eatinh quite easily. The most fantastic thing is I havent drunk alcohol for 4 days and not really had the urge to do so which is unheard of for me!

Really hungry to day. Dont know why.

bendigoblue · 29/01/2007 17:27

I've just picked up some stilton for DH's birthday steak tonight and i've been thinking about steak all the way home. I swear, it's calling me from the fridge. I don't know how i'm going to cook it for him without cracking up!

When's your weigh in mummypoppins, you sound like you are doing great!

mummypoppins · 30/01/2007 07:07

Weigh in is tomorrow weds am which will be after 6 days. Scales at home say about an 8llb loss but we will see.

Hope to be 11stome something after 2 weeks.

Feel I should be exercising as well but legs feel quite week when I walk up stairs so will leave it a bit. Is this normal ? Have othrs felt the same ?

Meb how did you get on with the CDC yesterday ? Sounds like a plan with a bit of food would be good for you.

When I have got to 10 stone I intend to have a shake for breakfast, a bar for lunch and protien and as much slad as I can eat with balsamic vinegar.Should be easy as we tend to BBQ most nights in the summer anyway.

How are you doing fussymummy ?

Did you manage to resist the steak bendigo blue ? What torture!!!

moonshine · 30/01/2007 09:36

Well done mummypoppins and good luck tomorrow.

Weighed in this morning at 12st 0.75lbs, so that's another 4lbs off for me making a grand total of 1st 10.25lbs in 4 weeks! Am very pleased and encouraged, considering that over the weekend I was all ready to give it up. I'm sure it's because totm is imminent and usually in the week before I get really depressed and would normally eat my own body weight in chocolate and, well anything.

It's dh's birthday on Saturday and I was considering having a day off-plan but have decided against it - it really is so bloody difficult getting back on.

Good luck all this week.

catsmother · 30/01/2007 14:58

I had my week 9 weigh in today and was over the moon to have lost 9lbs.

I have really only done CD for 7 weeks (excluding a week of indulgent eating at Xmas, and another week just gone when I was in hospital or ill at home) so that's a total of 31lbs (2 stones 3lbs) in 7 weeks .... an average of almost 4.5lbs a week.

My stomach turned over to start off because the scales only said I'd lost 1 measly pound ...... but my counsellor re-set them and weighed me a couple more times to be sure and voila. I just knew I hadn't done that badly because I've lost more off my hips and waist again.

I feel really happy now ..... this past week has been such a struggle after another week of eating (... and what a week - fish and chips, chinese, indian, italian included as I wasn't up to cooking and my other half can't). It was quite a shock to the system to go back to SS, but a good result really hardens your resolve.

mummypoppins · 30/01/2007 15:56

catsmother and moonshine you are an inspiration! WELL DONE.

Meb how are you doing after seeing your CDC yesterday ?

Still going here. Somebody bought cakes into work today and it should be banned . The devil has cupcakes!

Hope I can last this out........went into Monsoon at lunchtime. Seeing all the strappy dresses for summer helped!

bendigoblue · 30/01/2007 16:39

Afternoon all!

Well last night was hell, I came really close to eating some steak (did the whole chewing and spitting out thing again) and generally got really bummed out because I just couldn't bring myself to sit with them while they ate and it was supposed to by Dh's special birthday meal. I came in here and cried over my brocolli and cheese soup lol. How pathetic am I. I'm just so determined not to cheat because I just know that I will find it impossible to get back on to absteining again.

Better day today, was supposed to be weigh in day but CDC had to go to outpatients so she's seeing me tomorrow instead.

I spent a while earlier going through my trouser drawer sorting them into 'too big' and 'hooray I can do them up again' piles. The too big pile was quite large so that cheered me up.

Just been for a long walk with Leo in the pushchair so that's made me quite chipper too.

Well done Catsmother on your 9lb loss! That must make you feel fab!

And well done Moonshine on another great loss and managining to stay on the wagon!

Mummypoppins I agree, it should be against the law to bring cakes into work! It should also be against the law to hold any sort of social gathering until the summer when hopefully i'll be done with this diet lol.

Meb2006 - Hope you are ok, look in and tell us how you're getting on xx

catsmother · 30/01/2007 16:51

At least you spat it out Bendigo ! I confess I ate about 5 mini creme eggs yesterday and I swallowed them down !

I envy you being able to go for a long walk. It's the best exercise, and it's free. I'd love to do the same but my 3 year old won't go in a pushchair anymore - which is good - but obviously only walks at toddler speed and for toddler distance (i.e. not very far) - which isn't so good. If she was still in her pushchair I'd be trying to do 4 or 5 miles a day if the weather was good. However, I just feel so frustrated not being able to do that.

Mummypoppins - that is an amazing loss in just 4 weeks. You're right, thinking about summer is an inspiration. I have quite a lot of money saved up in the form of vouchers I've asked for over the last 2 or 3 birthdays/xmas's. I am so looking forward to being able to finally spend them on some nice small clothes .... until now, I have always refused to buy anything while I still felt fat, almost as if buying larger sizes was accepting that was how I was always going to be. Instead, I've been wearing dead cheap Tesco jeans and too-tight tops - and have felt rotten about it. Can you imagine how fantastic it'll be to get back to wearing decent clothes ?

bendigoblue · 31/01/2007 10:06

catsmother · 31/01/2007 10:30

fussymummy · 31/01/2007 13:42

Hi Everyone, Haven't posted much as i've been ill since the weekend.

Don't feel like i've done well this week as i really haven't bothered.

mummypoppins · 01/02/2007 12:29

How did you get on Fussymummy ? Hope you are feeling better

I am sooooooooooo hungry. I thought it was supposed to stop by day 7.

So nearly ate something last night. had to go to bed instead!

Have you seen some of the pictures on Minimins. The wieght loss stories are amazing. Keeps you going.

fussymummy · 02/02/2007 12:32

What are Minimins??

I lost 4 pounds when i was weighed yesterday.

That's now a total of 20 pounds lost in 28 days!!!!!!

I'm really going to try a lot harder now and try and do some walking and swimming when i can!!

If you get really hungry, it's best to have an extra CD product than other food.
Buy some spares for emergencies.

mummypoppins · 02/02/2007 16:33

4 pounds.......well done thats fantastic.

www.mimins.com.

have a look see what you think. Bumped into bendigo blue on there!

I managed to refuse a working lunch today. It was sooooooooooooo hard. Made an excuse that I was going out for a big meal this evening and then ran out to my car and had a choc tetra. I was so cross with my self for being in this situation but then I am so I must deal with it!

Good luck over the weekend. I have a party to go to tomorrow. that is the next hurdle. I am just trying to take each day as it comes.

mummypoppins · 02/02/2007 16:34

i so wish i could do this i just cant break the cycle and and get the ball rolling, every day i say tomoorow but tomorrow never comes,

you are all doing fab

moonshine · 06/02/2007 09:52

Well done on some excellent losses here.

Snowwonder and Meb - really sorry you are struggling. As I know only too well your head has to be in the right zone. If you really really want to do it still I think it's best to have at least a 2 week run with no going out planned or friends round for dinner etc and the house cleared of 'naughty' (although I hate calling them that but you know what I mean) things - isolating for a while but it can take a while to get into it properly, especially if you have been falling off the wagon. I have been very anti-social in January and will be for most of February too. Got to say this time round it took me about 3 weeks to really establish myself on it and still had the most bloody awful time last week because it was my totm and I was a crabby hungry bitch!

But today I am out of it and after 5 weeks I have lost 28lbs!! So that's me at 11st 11lbs and beginning to get a glimpse of the light at the end of this very very boring tunnel.

Spring is round the corner now and it's nearly time to throw off your coats etc - but there's still time to get stuck in....

bendigoblue · 06/02/2007 10:51

WTG Moonshine and Mummypoppins! Great losses all round!

I definately agree your head has to be in the right place, I wouldn't have managed the 4 weeks I have if I hadn't been 100% on board with it this time round. I think i'm there now though, went to a baptism at the weekend and had my bar while everyone else munched a gorgeous buffet. Didn't bother me at all and that feels so good!

snowwonder · 06/02/2007 11:39

moonshine you are so right and such an inspiration, and i am sure once on board it would be easier then other diets,
think at the back of my mind i was worrying about going away next week to centreparks, so maybe after that i will give it another shot,
the weight loss is fantastic. is that 2 stone in 5 weeks that is fantstic and that could be me!!!!!!

catsmother · 06/02/2007 13:37

Moonshine, that is such a good loss in such a short time. You must feel really motivated by it.

I had my week 8 weigh in today but had only lost 2lbs (compared to 9 last week!) but I guess that's still in the right direction and better than nothing. I haven't been drinking much water lately and my counsellor suggested that lots of water really does seem to make a difference so I will try harder with that this week. I hope it does the trick because a 2lb weekly loss is comparable to WW No Count when you could actually eat and therefore I can't help but feel a little bit "conned" !

I've now lost 2 stone 5 lbs in 8 weeks, which, overall, is still a fast-ish loss, but am really starting to struggle because it's so boring. I can see a real difference in myself and my clothes but think I've still got about another 1.5 stone to lose and am also getting very impatient.

OP posts:
moonshine · 06/02/2007 14:47

Catsmother, am just like you! I would like to lose another 1.5 stones (but only need to lose 11lbs to get to bmi 25) but am very impatient and bored rigid and don't know how much longer I can hold out. Also, I know the sensible thing is to go through the various stages (aam, 790, 1000) to introduce food and prevent putting on glycogen weight quickly, but I just don't want to . What are your plans?
