luciemule no, don't have the berry powder yet.Thought I was't allowed this for the first 2 weeks.
Anyway, my first day today. Had my first ever shake this morning (chocolate mint) and found it rather nice actually!! Hooray! Have also had 2 liters of water so far and already lost count on the number of times I've been to the toilet. How do you girls ever go out anywhere? Should I now take my ds1's portable potty everywhere?

Your body will adjust to the water. At the start, when I was probably drinking less water than I am now, I can remember getting up 2 or 3 times a night to use the loo which wasn't much fun. However, that quickly settled down after a week or so.

I had the sunshine burst drink last night 1ltr but I put two teaspoons in the water - anyway today i feel hungry I have also had a coke zero anyway could the drink have taken me out of ketosis ohh and also i had a mix a mousse for tea last night!

Lsm, sunshine burst drink any good? And what about the mix a mousse? What day are you on since I was told I'm not allowed these things until after the first 2 weeks.

I think I'm a bit weird as I got a selection of all the different flavours and like all of them

I had a muffin last night made out of a chocolate packet and it was heaven, really heaven.

Because my CS said i am in ketosis because of the funny tast in my mouth and the amount I have lost in my first week my cs gave me mine early! I am now on day 9

The mix a mousse is brilliant it really turns the shake into angel delight I dont know why the y call the water flavour sunburst becasue i thought it tasted of shurbert light home made lemonade its quite nice but I drunk the whole ltr in about 1/2 hour and then had my mix a mousse I am going to give both a miss this evening as have had tummy rumblers today - first time since day 2 and i have the hollow feeling also i am going to buy some ketostix to night to see if i have come out of ketosis!

Have been lurking for a while, but am now coming out of the woodwork!
I'm on week 2 of my second attempt at CD - last time worked brilliantly, except I didn't do maintenance so naturally all 3 stone went back on. But this time I'm (mostly) determined to do it properly - am just feeling rough at the moment as it's TOTM and I'm struggling to ignore the kids Easter eggs...
Fantastic losses everyone .

MInimims. THey have loads of recipes. If you look at the first few thread titles on teh cambridge forum. REally simply to make. I am having another tonight and then making crisps tomorrow night.

Morning all, anyone out there?
Day 2 and so far I'm doing ok! Have broken the world record in running to the loo yesterday and have to say that the soups are not terribly great. Too frothy and powdery (and I did not boil them and I did water them down and I did have the oriental chilli one that's supposed to be good!). Might try my hand a muffin making this evening.

Didnt make them in the end. I made another muffin instead from a toffee and walnut packet. Fine but not as nice as the chocolate one. I am saving the muffin for the evening when I can eat it in peace.

Day 5 now and I am so cold all the time. DS had a friend over for a sleep over last night so I need to go and make 3 breakfasts now of hot toast with jam and butter and cereals.

God, yes..how much am I NOT looking forward to the Easter weekend!!! Going to the inlaws tomorrow, having friends over Saturday and another one staying over Sunday because there's the annual festival in our village! I will try and not fall off the wagon too much but it's going to be soo hard. And it's only my first week

It is hard but you will feel so good about yourself if you manage it. THis has got to be the hardest thing I've done but after not giving into tempations I feel so proud of myslef and I know if I can achieve not eating I must be able to achieve anything. ALso just think that if you do break it then all the days you went without were pointless.

I'll try! And even if I do end up eating or drinking something, I have promised myself not to kick myself too hard for failing and just getting straight back onto the shakes!

where's everybody today?! Right, I'm off now..but shall be back later in the evening. Having a bad day with lots of hot flushes and bouts of the runs iykwim. Is this normal?

Dont know about the runs, sorry. I have a problme the other way!

Just got back from an easter party with cake and cups of tea. I had just wate. Proud of myself but I must have appeared to be very antisocial.

Hello - just to say that I did have a dodgy tummy in the first few days of ketosis Michaelad and counsellor said it was the body detoxing. It was only a couple of times and it made me feel quite ill (tummy cramps)but if you drink lots of extra water in the first few days (and as soon as you feel queezy) it should settle down.
Also - don't forget that muffins and crisps made in the microwave etc could devalue the nutrients in the shake mixes. I asked counsellor and she agreed it may do. So perhaps it would be good as a treat every now and again instead of regulalry as you really will need all of the nutrients.
I had a good day today and think I'm back into ketosis (will check later). Saw my SIL today and she couldn't stop saying how much weight I'd lost. It was a weird feeling and I'm still wondering whether she was just being kind as she knows I'm doing the diet.

Hi Lucie, great to see you're back and doing well. I'm doing ok so far apart from somewhat upset tummy and feeling quite nauseous. But once that passes, I should be fine. Keep your fingers crossed for my first weigh in on Tuesday afternoon! First, gotta survive the rest of Easter without giving into too much temptation
