Anybody else doing Exante or some other VLCD and wants to buddy up?

I started Exante on Monday so on day 4 now. I'm not in ketosis yet though, which I find odd because normally it kicks in roundabout day 3 (I've done plenty of ketogenic diets before).
I don't have anyone in real life who wouldn't totally condemn me for doing a VLCD so looking for someone on here Grin

I am team Slim&Save all the way, I did it 2 years ago and lost 4st. Gradually have put 3 back on for various reasons but am back on the diet train again. I've been on it for just under 2 weeks and I'm 12lb down so far. Am aiming for 2st by Christmas but have to be realistic as I have various events to plan around too. Look forward to sharing your journeys with you.

Godless, 12lb is amazing. I'm struggling to lose more than 3lb a week now, even on less than 600 calories.

Wallywobbles · 14/10/2016 06:18

Flesh are you using any tracking device like mfp? I find it helps. 3lbs is still above average weight loss and makes a stone every 4 to 5 weeks. Which is what is expected pretty much. I've had weeks with 200g loss. And I'm still not at 3 stone and nearly at 12 weeks. It's close though.

FleshEmoji · 16/10/2016 15:55

Yeah, I'm using MFP. I've had some pretty huge salads for 200 calories. And I know 3lbs is pretty good, I just hear of people with more to lose losing 7lb a week and I get wistful. But I'm soldiering on - actually moving to Step 2 I'm replacing one Cambridge meal with a real meal, rather than adding it, and that means my daily carb count is a lot lower & I'm generally less hungry.

sammyj85 · 19/10/2016 20:24

Week 6 weigh in and 32lbs down. Hoping to make it to 2 and a half stone next week :-) x

Wallywobbles · 19/10/2016 20:57

Im 3 stone down at week 11. I bought my first size 14 skinny jeans tonight. I suspect I look like I've got sausages for legs.

sammyj85 · 19/10/2016 21:36

I'm sure you don't! 3 stone is amazing - can't wait to see it myself. Enjoy the size 14s! x

FleshEmoji · 21/10/2016 05:11

Wow, well done both of you. I'm only 18 lb down after 5 ½ weeks, but some of my size 10s fit! Going to carry on until they all do - all my nicest clothes are from when I was at my lowest weight. About 10lb to go, though I'll be very happy to be in the 8 stones - 4lb for that.

sammyj85 · 25/10/2016 08:21

Size 10s - the stuff of dreams! Well impressed! Had my week 7 weigh in today, 36lbs (and a half but I'll count that next week!) down. 2 and a half stone down, 4 to go! Have good weeks x

sammyj85 · 10/11/2016 17:48

Think this thread might have died a death but thought I would update.

3 stone gone, 9 weeks and 2 days x

amusedbush · 13/11/2016 16:36

I'm on day five of Cambridge and I've lost 6.5lbs so far, official weigh in is on Tuesday after work. It's a good start but my goal weight is 99lbs from my start weight ShockSad

sammyj85 · 14/11/2016 18:42

Good luck amused! Hope you're finding it all ok. 99lbs is exactly what I needed to lose! But 10 weeks in and that numher is now 54lbs so it does go in the right direction!

Keep at it and good luck at WI x

amusedbush · 15/11/2016 08:38

I had my official weigh in last night as something came up tonight and I lost 10lbs Grin 89lbs to go!

FleshEmoji · 15/11/2016 16:09

I'm now 8st 12lb which I consider properly in the 8 stones. Most of my size 10s fit and I bought a size 8 jacket at the weekend. Well chuffed.

Good luck to everyone - this does work, and my portion sizes & desire for unhealthy foods are nicely reset.

sammyj85 · 15/11/2016 17:54

That's a fab first week, good work!

Can't wait to go clothes shopping - currently putting belts with everything! Want to save the shopping spree for a size 12 fest!

sammyj85 · 22/11/2016 17:16

Week 11 weigh in and 50lbs off. So pleased with the results, it makes it worth it in the end.

Next goal is to make it 4 stone in 3 calendar months. 2 weeks and 6lbs to go...

amusedbush · 23/11/2016 14:19

Week 2, 5lbs off!

That's 15lbs so far Grin

sammyj85 · 23/11/2016 17:41

Woohoo! Excellent stuff x

amusedbush · 30/11/2016 14:06

Anyone still on the wagon? It's TOTM so 2lbs off last night but I lost 2" from my waist so I'm chuffed Grin

sammyj85 · 30/11/2016 20:36

Still here! Great work - hoping you are seeing different and feeling good! Snap with TOTM so 2lbs gone in week 12 , takes it to 52lbs. Really got fingers crossed for 4 off this week to make it 4 stone in 3 months. We shall see!

amusedbush · 01/12/2016 09:29

Wow, 52lbs is outstanding!

I'm also hoping for 4lbs off this week as I'll get my stone and a half sticker Grin

sammyj85 · 07/12/2016 18:03

Did it, 4 stone in 3 months. Slightly proud of myself :-) hope anyone still on it is doing well and feeling good x

amusedbush · 13/12/2016 16:25

Still here, 23lbs down in five weeks! Grin

And I've gone from a size 20 to a 16, today I'm wearing a (non-stretchy!) dress that hasn't fitted since before my wedding in April!

sammyj85 · 20/12/2016 09:35

Still here! That's a fabulous amount of weight in such a short amount of time amused!

Haven't posted in a couple of weeks as wasn't sure my will power would get me this close to Christmas but it has! 4 stone 4lbs down as of this morning. Gets me firmly in the 12 stone bracket which I'm hoping (after letting a little loose on Christmas day) I can stay in before picking the plan back up on the 27th.

Good luck and merry Christmas!

NapoleonsNose · 20/12/2016 19:23

Can I join you all? I'm 4 stone heavier that I should be and feel like a big fat whale. I'm planning on doing Exante once Christmas is out of the way but I'm a bit worried that I'm going to struggle with the hunger over the first few days. Any tips? What Exante stuff is nice and what is worth avoiding? I've never done a VLCD before but am trying it out of desperation as SW and WW don't seem to work for me anymore and I hate going to the classes to be patronised and called hun
