Anybody else doing Exante or some other VLCD and wants to buddy up?

I started Exante on Monday so on day 4 now. I'm not in ketosis yet though, which I find odd because normally it kicks in roundabout day 3 (I've done plenty of ketogenic diets before).
I don't have anyone in real life who wouldn't totally condemn me for doing a VLCD so looking for someone on here Grin

Day 8 was more of a struggle, just so nibbly for some reason. Think it's a habit issues rather than genuine hunger. I had a bar then carbonara for bother lunch and dinner.
Official one week weight in was a fab 10 lbs loss, so pleased. I'm thinking of make a jelly using the water flavourings and the gelatin mousse mix. Handy for emergency sweet snacks!

How's everyone holding up today?
I've been concidering adding in a bit of light exercise like beginner yoga maybe, what exercise are you all doing?

FizzBombBathTime · 10/01/2017 09:21

toast that's brilliant!

I'm struggling to finish the shakes at meal times 😩 They're really heavy going

I'm not doing any exercise but running around after the kids is pretty decent!

Well done on your weight loss 😃

amusedbush · 10/01/2017 10:09

Good luck to everyone else on plan! I've no idea why this time it's working when I've never managed to make it work in the past but my head is really in the game.

I've lost another pound overnight on my scales so I'm 14st exactly. I can't believe I'm almost in the 13's when I weighed 16st 7 two months ago Shock

nickdrakeslovechild · 10/01/2017 14:09

Wow, some fantastic losses on here today! I have lost 4lb last week. I would be happy if I can keep that up as it would only be 7 weeks to dream target weight. I know it gets less the nearer to target we get but I can dream Grin

nickdrakeslovechild · 10/01/2017 14:10

Oh I think when I was seeing my consultant last time they said to not really do any exercise. To be honest I dont really need the excuse not to.....

amusedbush · 10/01/2017 14:14

I don't exercise on this plan, nothing more than walking home from work (3.5 miles) a couple of times a week. I'm sooo lazy so I'm quite happy to not go to the gym!

When I move up the steps and I'm eating more I'll get back to fitness classes.

SignoraStronza · 10/01/2017 14:54

Can I join? Lost 4.5 stone in 2015, then started working (and socialising) at a pub and 3 of them crept back on again because I've been drinking and eating way too much!
So, now aiming to get them off again by my birthday. Think I'll count in kilos this time though, as stone barriers are a pain. The 9 stone is the one I struggle to get below - am only 5ft 1, so should be able to do this.
I carry a lot of weight on my legs and am pretty convinced I have a condition called lipoedema. However slim I become, nice dresses, skirts, shorts, skinny jeans - basically anything worn on the lower half looks not great. Need to get doing sone serious exercise too once I've lost this weight, and start to try and improve their shape. Am so envious of all you apples!

toastyarmadillo · 10/01/2017 20:37

Today wasn't to bad, definately easing into it now, avoiding bars helps a lot. Today's menu was apple and cinnamon porridge, s&s thai soup with added physillium husks to fill me up. A water flavouring jelly mad with mousse mix and strawberry shake for supper. Feeling quite thirsty today which is good but does have the side effect of spending a lot of time visiting the bathroom! In fact so much time I'm concidering repainting it!

If you struggle with the shakes try making them up with a lot more water, I keep a blender cup full of water in the fridge, add the powder and blend it, then drink through a straw, just goes down a bit easier.

FizzBombBathTime · 10/01/2017 22:47

toasty I use double the water and use ice aswell which makes it marginally bearable but they're so manky!!!

Well done you're doing amazing. Like the sound of jelly

I've done a week, so far so good...

FizzBombBathTime · 10/01/2017 22:48

And I'm drinking 4l of water on top of that a day so I hear you re the frequent bathroom visits!

FizzBombBathTime · 10/01/2017 22:49

sig have you considered going to gp about your legs? I think it can be treated if that's what you have Flowers

Well done on your weight loss btw Smile

toastyarmadillo · 11/01/2017 21:43

Today was a struggle, a few slips while cooking dinner for the family, will be back to strictness tomorrow. I think seeing on the scales I had only lost a pound this week so far didn't help my mind set this evening.... chin up back to it... off to bed before I mess up any more!

FizzBombBathTime · 12/01/2017 06:22

I messed up yesterday, gutted. Do you think I should carry on from today or is it not work it now? Just give up?

FizzBombBathTime · 12/01/2017 06:22

*worth not work

toastyarmadillo · 12/01/2017 07:50

No, just get back on it. Even though I had a small slip I still had my three packs and water allowance, today I'm resolved to get back at it, I hate the thought if going through those first few days of hunger etc so the quicker you get back on this diet the better! You can do this!

amusedbush · 12/01/2017 09:38

Keep going! I managed to lose weight on Christmas week, even after a McDonald's, a sugary latte, pancakes with nutella, gin and tonic, half a box of chocolates and a massive steak with potatoes and blue cheese sauce over Christmas Eve and Day!

I promise your slip won't affect you too much.

FizzBombBathTime · 12/01/2017 09:50

Thank you

I had a meal, disapointed in myself

But I'm still the same weight as the day before (12 pounds lost so far) so I guess I should keep going

toastyarmadillo · 13/01/2017 06:06

Another day done, another day closer to being slimmer!
Porridge, soup and a bar today. A few mouthfuls of chicken breastfeeding and some light babybels, the goal is to stop the naughty extras, thank goodness they are low carb though. I'm thinking a day or two of shakes is the way to go to help. With lots of staying busy!
How's everyone else bearing up?
Am tempted to weigh but will resist... what did everyone else loose in week 2?

toastyarmadillo · 13/01/2017 06:07

Argh chicken breast not sodding breastfeeding!

FizzBombBathTime · 13/01/2017 09:56

I'm back on track after my slip up so that's good

I stayed the same weight so looks like it hasn't affected

Hating the shakes but it's allllll good

amusedbush · 13/01/2017 13:12

Yesterday I struggled a lot, TOTM is due in the next few days and I always turn into Pacman just before. I didn't slip up but I swear I was close to ordering pizza Sad

I'm feeling better today but I'm getting really bored and peckish on Step 2 and I'm considering stepping up to Step 3 from February. This would allow me to get back to gym classes too.

FizzBombBathTime · 13/01/2017 13:24

Awww amused Flowers

You resisted! Give yourself some credit dude

amusedbush · 13/01/2017 15:03

Thanks Fizz Smile

I've dropped into the 13's, which I'm ecstatic about and is keeping me on track. I don't have anything planned socially until the end of February, when we're going out for a meal to celebrate my dad's birthday so I should have a clear run at getting another stone or so off.

FizzBombBathTime · 13/01/2017 16:05

Oh my gosh! That's absolutely brilliant!!!!

That's loads of time eh, eyes on the prize dude!

amusedbush · 13/01/2017 16:41
Blush

Just realised that I sound like a bit of a loser, not having any social plans for several weeks! Grin
