Anybody else doing Exante or some other VLCD and wants to buddy up?

I started Exante on Monday so on day 4 now. I'm not in ketosis yet though, which I find odd because normally it kicks in roundabout day 3 (I've done plenty of ketogenic diets before).
I don't have anyone in real life who wouldn't totally condemn me for doing a VLCD so looking for someone on here Grin

I have moments when I crash and I'm sleeping better than I ever have I think.

87,2 this morning. 11.6 kgs in 6 weeks and one day. Which is 25.5lbs. I'm really hoping to 42lbs over the first 12 week period but I'm probably going to be a disappointed.

Well done wally! That's really good. I have 6 weeks until a wedding and if I can lose that much I would be overjoyed - would still have some way to go however. After a failed first start, I have been low carbing and I think I am in ketosis. I have a hideous headache, breath that could strip wall paper and I am not hungry.

Tomorrow I start the packs and I am looking forwards to it weirdly. I do have 2 kids bday parties and a family dinner to navigate.

Good luck everyone

So this is the first day of 100% packs. I have a busy day with about 3.5 miles of walking thrown in. I pretty much hate all the packs they all taste too sweet and too fake, so I knock them back like tequila then I only have to taste them once😄

Will be taking ds swimming this morning. Wally I am starting a similar weight to you so hoping I can lose a similar amount in the same time.

Already a pint of water down- but I have to time my consumption so I don't have to do the school run crossed legged!

Hi,

Could I join you please? This is day 4 of the LL packs for me. I lost about 3 stone with LL in 2012 so know that I have the willpower somewhere inside of me so I'm trying my best to summon it up! Had a cheeky little weigh in this morning and 6lbs down so far so I'm feeling in the zone today!

Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi Sammy welcome. Well done on getting to day 4, hopefully it should be getting easier now? I lost 3st on Cambridge in 2011 so I am hoping I can do the same again but that time I needed to do it so I fit into my several sizes too small wedding dress - that sure did help my will power!

Good luck with today. Off to drink some more water!

Definitely easier today and the water is going down a treat! Taking my DD to watch Peppa Pig tonight - I will drink water and resist the big bags of sweets on offer!

Had a cheeky weigh in and I am 7lbs down woohoo and then woohoo again. I have started walking the school run but it has given me shin splints that's how unfit I am!

In a couple of weeks I am starting 30 day shred again. Is anyone else exercising whilst doing a vlcd?

Urgh husband has asked if I want a Chinese. I've eaten all my packs for the day and I'm so hungry wail

Great work! One reason (apart from being unbelievably greedy) that I need to be on a VLCD is that I hate exercise. I would rather eat packs for life! But if you have it in you it would be amazing for your weight loss, general health and wellbeing.

I would love a Chinese but amazingly I would turn one down now. Just keep reminding myself of how much I hate how i look at the moment. It seems to be helping so I'm going to keep it as my mantra x

I am hungry but i should be asleep. I would love a chinese now but i would talk hubby out of it, couldnt say no if it was in the house.

Tomorrow i have a bday party and friend has made amazing sounding food and is bring champers, so i need to avoid that. Hmm had a tummy bug the other week so i might reignite that - cant be doing with fessing up about doing a vlcd and defending my choices.

I exercise on and off and i do enjoy it but starting is the hard part. I do have to force myself to walk past the car and actually walk dd to school.
I am doing an extreme 10k muddy obstacle course in March, i did it last year and whilst i trained it wasnt nearly enough. i need to get a chunk of weight off so that i can improve my running. Currently get out of breath running to the fridge and last yr only managed to run about 1/4 of it and that wasnt nearly enough.

I do wish i could eat chinese, not exercise and be thin but sadly experience has taught me that, that isnt the case.

So to add to the find of a rib a couple of weeks back I have now found a hip!

Excellent work wally - can't wait to discovering where mine have gone!

I hope when I am a little lighter the thought of exercise isn't so daunting - just committing to a couple of weekly classes would be a great way to help maintain in the future.

Good luck with the get together Princess. Stomach bug sounds like the way forward.

Ahh I vaguely remember hip bones! Well done. I didn't do so well at the party. Half a small glass of prosseco and a few nibbles of chicken, a couple of Doritos and a small sausage oopps. But I did swim in the sea and run around after the kids. Just had my shake and am fighting the urge to raid the cupboard. Its going to be a long night!!

So I got through the evening phew. Feeling really glad I limited the damage and didn't continue nibbling as I would have in the past. I have another bday party and then a family roast to navigate now big sigh.

The family dinner will be more tricky but planning on a small portion of roast beef and green veg with a tiny splash of heavy. Not sure if I should miss a pack or not?

Will be heading out this morning for a big walk. Just waiting for everyone to get up. Had 2 black coffees and a pint of water.

Well done for getting through the evening Princess, it takes so much will power to stop and refocus. I would be tempted to miss a pack if I were going to have real food. I know it means you're missing the added vitamins etc but I would presume it'd keep you under the calorie limit so keep you in ketosis?

I intend to have a small portion and just meat and green veg and there is loads of nutrients in that so I will miss a pack. Don't want to ruin it now

12kg down. 700g off 2 stone, since 26th July. So hopefully I'll get that for Tuesday when I'll be at 7 weeks.

Hi can I join please. I did Cambridge for about 2 months earlier this year and lost 2 stone. I've put half s stone back on so have around 2 stone to lose. I stopped over summer because I had s holiday and the kids at home but I'm back in work now and they are back in school do I've go no excuse. I'm seeing my consultant tonight for some products. A little while ago lots of Exante products were on offer on Groupon, I bought a box of shakes but I really don't like them. I'm going to have 2 a day to get rid of them though and the rest Cambridge which I like.

Hello bad hair welcome. I also got my shakes from the Groupon offer. I don't really like any of them - I think of them like medicine curing my obesity lol.

Well done wally. Almost 2st in 7 weeks is awesome, hoping I can achieve that sort of loss. Just heading out now for family Sunday dinner - fil is a great cook and a feeder- bless him, so this might be tricky.

Managed not to eat a thing at the bday party but nothing to drink either so I have the BREATH. Off to scrub my teeth and drink a pint of water.

Uh oh dinner was tricky. I ate some veg, gravy and a couple of slices of beef. Not too bad until you add in 1 tiny roastie and baked carrot. I did swerve the Yorkshire pud and pudding. Feeling very full as tummy hasn't had anything but shakes in it. Next couple of weeks will be easier as less obligations and oppertunities to eat! Just hoping I don't feel too hungry tom. Fingers crossed.

I am 5'3, and I have about 10 fairly new and unworn pairs of jeans size 18 with a 29/30 inch leg if any ones interested. I have a waist and an arse. Mostly from Cotton Trader.

Hello big. I have lost 7lbs in 9 days. 5 days low carbing and 4 days on packs, it's mostly water weight but I can see it in my face and jeans yay.

The diet is hard but worth it imo. The first very few days really tough but if you can low carb and drink lots of water it helps the transition. Then staying on the diet is hard but it's a mental game. I am not hungry but would love to eat something. I just feel empty and a bit tired. Weekends are hard.

I am glad I am doing this and there is a lot of research about losing weight quickly and from what I have seen it doesn't matter how you lose it as long as you do - health wise.

I am doing this for 5 weeks then having a weekend away then starting again for another 5 weeks. If I think of not eating until nearly Dec it's too big a hurdle so I just think of getting through today. I should be near my goal then.

If you eat something it makes it hard the next day. Every time I sent myself something I tell myself I will be glad the next day and i always am!

Good luck with whatever you do.
