Once again I am going to embark on a renewed attempt at weight loss. I can't bring myself to weigh at the moment but I'm sure I've got in the region of 6 stone to lose Blush

Does anybody want to join me in an accountability thread? We have 6 months of 2016 left, and this will be the year I weigh considerably less than what I started out at!

Eaten 1800kcals so far and that includes scampi fries. (3packsBlush)
Still have homemade fish pie for dinner yet. I must have been putting away 4000kcals plus as it feels like I've barely eaten-although I am full.

Anyone doing hypnosis/mindful eating apps?

I was fine BUT it says 50 calories for a cup of tea - I'm basically screwed! I can't give up my numerous cups of tea!

I'm just cooking pasta for dinner, had porridge for breakfast and a chicken wrap for lunch. How much milk/ sugar are you having in your tea banana? I cut mine down to 1 sugar and a splash of milk and only have 2 or 3 cups at most a day now (it wasnt easy!).

No sugar! I might recheck the app. On a cold day I might have 8 and the rest

I think if you can probably just count the milk you use in that case? The teabag and water are next to no calories.

Banana - I think the amount of skim milk for a cuppa is 20 calories

I'm trying to have herbal tea sometimes too

Can I join, too? I went holiday clothes shopping today and felt like crying :-(.

I have gained two stone since my baby son was born 18 months ago. Now 15 stone 3.5.

I have always been fat as an adult, and a change is as good as a (terrible, miserable) rest!

Today went well:

Breakfast: 3 eggs scrambled + salsa
Lunch: Roast chicken salad with cous cous
Snack: Bounce ball
Tea: Roast chicken dinner + clementine
Snack: Options hot chocolate

The carb portions were very small but I didn't omit all carbs. Tomorrow will probably look quite similar.

Breakfast: a coffee
Brunch: 3 eggs scrambled in butter with big handful of mozzarella, diet coke
Dinner: Tesco Caeser Salad with 1.5 chicken breasts, coffee
Snack: cashew nuts oven roasted for crunch
Chewing gum for any potential breath issues and as a distractor!

Just weighed myself at 75kg. So in the last year I've put on 10 kg. I've downloaded mfp but keep forgetting to log and then eating whenever I'm bored and stressed! I've also downloaded happy scale, and it breaks down the goals into smaller increments (except that my weight keeps going up instead of down!)
Biggest problem is eating in between meals. And I don't ever get to eat 5 a day!

I've survived Day One. I know that's a tiny step, but it's been so long since I even had one day without feeling guilty and crappy at all the stuff I've eaten, so I'm counting this as my first success!

Keep going, everyone!

Hello, can I join in too? I'm the heaviest I've been for a while, joined WW online (am also Ouroboros if anyone else is on there) a month or so ago and have put on 2 lbs Blush. I have to be careful with dieting as sometimes I end up binge eating, but this time I am determined to do it healthily and properly! I go on holiday in 2 weeks, so my immediate goal is to lose 5 lbs before I go. I've done a 45 min fast walk on the South Downs the past two nights, and have pointed my food. Work picnic tomorrow though but I will try and be sensible!

Would anyone else find it helpful to set weekly goals that will help in the long run?

For example this week my goal is to loft everything regardless so I have an honest picture of how many calories a day, I went over my daily allowance y day but I'm trying not to dwell on it as next week I will be focusing on sticking to a set amount of calories per meal etc

Previously when I've tried to lose weight I've attempted to change too much in one go which then only lasts a week or two so I'm hoping that making one change a week it will be a smoother transition to a slimmer me!

Well done on getting through your first day Crikey and welcome Ouroboros!

That's a great idea Glitter, my goal this week is to not drink any full calorie fizzy drinks (I have a serious coke addiction!).

I had a really good day yesterday in that when my planned dinner wasn't available on the grocery delivery, instead of ordering take out I hopped on the bike to the supermarket to grab an alternative quick dinner. This is a huge deal for our 'lets just get take out' household.

Lost 1/2 lb 😊

Could have been better but also could have been far worse as just logging everything seemed to help me stick to some better choices.

This week is where the hard bit starts as I've set my daily calorie limit and I am determined to stick to it,

How's everyone getting on?
