Lose half a stone in June? Anyone want to join me?

I need to lose weight. I have a BMI of 24.5 so only just in normal range. I would like to shift a stone as I'm far too flabby at my current weight.
Anyway, I'm starting off by aiming for half a stone weight loss during June, through increased activity (Fitbit at the ready!) and sensible eating.
Anyone want to join me?

(Thanks Chilli Flowers )

Fell off the wagon a bit yesterday. Lots of emotional eating (boredom, comfort and rebellious). Today the scales showed a loss(!) so I feel very motivated to make healthy, sensible choices today.

HairyMaclary · 08/06/2016 09:06

Gah, only 63.0 today, I don't understand why I am loosing so little. Never mind, every little helps!

V good day yesterday, including a short run. Hoping this is just the premenstrual bloat and feeling determined for another day!

MegBusset · 08/06/2016 09:08

Well done losers :) every bit counts!

9st 8lb this morning. Starting to feel a bit more in my comfort zone. Still lots of spare tyre I'd like to see the back of though!

bugsyburge · 08/06/2016 09:23

FD here today so no food until a lovely roast chicken salad with butternut squash tonight Halo

Had a good day yesterday:
2'seeded toast with pb and half banana
Wholemeal pitta with tuna, half avocado, cucumber and spinach
Spaghetti bolognese with hardly any pasta for me with my secret sauce ( 7 veggie portions!!)
Greek yoghurt with Apple, blackberries and raspberries
90 minutes of yoga

Anyone else trying to do the fast diet to help? I'm thinking of giving it a go wanted to know if anyone else finds its working for them? Xx

MsColouring · 08/06/2016 13:48

Another 1lb off today. Resisted cake in the staff room also.

bugsyburge · 08/06/2016 19:32

I love fasting emma, wander over to the 5:2 thread for lots of helpful advice and support

bugsyburge · 08/06/2016 19:33

Well done msc

HairyMaclary · 08/06/2016 19:40

Well done all you losers, that sounds wrong!

I've done well today but was just relooking at my cal intake as was still hungry, trying to figure out if I could get a snack out mu remaining calories when I discovered I have put in my nuts/seeds but not actually eaten them. Yay, feels like free food!

Did a 50 min cycle today so hoping for another small loss tomorrow.

On another note, I was about to start on the ironing mountain but the iron seems to have stopped working. Oh well...

Emma7793pink · 08/06/2016 21:11

Thanks for tip bugsyburge I'll take a look at that. I've managed to do a fast day today and a 5k run in 30 mins :) just had to make sure my 500 cal allowance was mostly high protein :) hope I see results next week! Fingers crossed. 2 runs this week and good eating so far, will do another fast day Saturday and another run tomorrow.

bugsyburge · 09/06/2016 08:58

Weighed it at 10.3 this morning, yay! Aim for June is 9.10.

Non Fast Day here so just tucking into seeded toast with pb and banana...been looking forward to this since about 8pm last night!!!!

HairyMaclary · 09/06/2016 09:21

Well done bugsyburge!

I weighed in at 62.7kg so a loss of 0.3, pleased with that. Off to Pilates now, going to try and fit in another cycle today too as I'm working tomorrow.

propergood · 09/06/2016 12:40

I'm finding all your updates and what you have had to eat very inspiring.

Yesterday I had
Breakfast- papaya juice and cheese/avacado/lettuce sandwich
Tea- chips and soya meat
And a chocolate bar at end of day.

Not the best but I had no dinner so by skipping a meal I hope that it cancels out the chips, chocolate and bread haha (didn't intentionally skip it, I was very busy)

Tomorrow I am setting off on a 3 day hike so I'm looking forward to the exercise!

MegBusset · 09/06/2016 19:25

Yesterday:
Soya porridge
Bean salad
Apple
Baked potato and cottage cheese
Couple of glasses of wine and some Minstrels (oops)

Today :
Soya porridge
Bean salad
Apple
Quorn lasagne and salad

Weighed in at 9st 7.5lb this morning which is the lightest I've been in six months. Now the hard bit is to keep going for the last 3.5lb!

bugsyburge · 09/06/2016 19:49

I've just had sweet potato "spaghetti" with prawns and chorizo....they were lovely. I think I'll replace regular spaghetti with them!!

HairyMaclary · 09/06/2016 20:52

Yoghurt with seeds and nuts
Cabbage/pickle/beef salad with mayonnaise and mustard dressing
Apple
Refried bean quesadilla
Digestive biscuit

1 hour cycle ride too.

How do you make squash spaghetti? It sounds good!

MsColouring · 09/06/2016 21:09

Another 1lb off on the scales this morning!

Breakfast - overnight oats with berries
Lunch - some left over mousaka
Dinner - bean burger, salad, coleslaw, potato salad, baked sweet potato.

Baked sweet potato is my new favourite thing - less carbs than normal potato and loads of vitamin A.

Dh thinks I am becoming obsessed with losing weight. I just think I am in the 'zone'.

RedMapleLeaf · 09/06/2016 21:37

Doing fine here, could be a bit more strict, but not doing too badly.

RainbowFlower24 · 09/06/2016 22:09

Evening all. After a good start of a work out followed by porridge with fruit, water and grilled turkey and salad for lunch I had the most glorious evening in a French restaurant with an old friend I see just once a year. Working out will will be hard tomorrow but tonight was definitely worth it.

bugsyburge · 09/06/2016 22:23

hairy I bought it in asda...I would imagine it would be easy to do with a spiralizer (like courgetti) but I don't need anymore bloody kitchen gadgets!!!!

I've just done a rather lovely 90 mins of ashtanga yoga....now to kill some brain cells catching up on big brother

peachcake · 09/06/2016 23:20

Me please! I started 3 days ago, calorie counting x

journeyon · 10/06/2016 19:39

Hello all, been rather shoddy at checking in, 3 June 11 stone 1lb, today 10 stone 12lb ... So rather pleased started mfp 26 th April and Fitbit at 11 stone 10lb, so total to date 12lb, long haul to go to top of healthy bmi which is 9 stone 6lb, but is I can crack this month half stone will be on the Way. Total for June 3lb so far. Have had a run of 1lb a week losses so this 3 lb has been a rather nice surprise

HairyMaclary · 10/06/2016 22:34

Eating chocolate and drinking wine....

It's been a hell of a day!

MsColouring · 11/06/2016 08:12

Journey - how tall are you? That weight seems quite low for top end bmi?

May have drunk a whole bottle of prosecco last night. And had a big bag of crisps. So that's 600+ calories added to what had been a good day. So back to it today!

MegBusset · 11/06/2016 13:09

I had Prosecco last night too, and Pimm's. It was a good night :) and I stayed reasonably on track food wise

Today looks like this:

Soya porridge
Veg soup and ryvita
Veg Thai green curry
