I'm at my heaviest ever-5'4" and 15 stone so I need to lose 4/5 stone. I've lost a couple of stone many times then get bored and put it all back on again but this time I'm determined and am going to take one day at a time. I started on Monday and all good so far-anyone want to join me and we could motivate each other and post meal suggestions if it would help?

I did my week 3 weigh in this morning-only lost 1 pound but trying to stay positive in the hope it'll be more next week. Having a BBQ tonight but have picked low fat stuff for me n shall try n not eat the Potato salad n coleslaw!

hello all,
Well I havent lost anything and this hot weather has just made me miserable cos I'm hiding away in fat clothes. So what do I do when im miserable...yup....stuffed my face yesterday.

3 years ago I lost 3.5 stone. I really really had the motivation. Its all come back on and more. I really really want to find that motivation back again. Sad

Sometimes you just have to dust yourself off and start again. I've given myself nearly a year to lose weight so trying to remind myself that it's a marathon not a sprint. Going away in August so would like at least 1.5 off although the sunshine is testing me cos I would love to have a drink. I can drink in moderation but I'm ravenous the next day

Definitely yes to small chunks at a time because I have so much to lose that I would quite easily give up if I thought of the total.

pyrowall · 09/05/2016 15:54

Keep forgetting to update!!

I stayed the same last week and TBH I'm expecting a gain this week as I've eaten Maccy D's, pizza, drunk wine, eaten ice creams etc

Well done all that are managing to stay on the bandwagon!

Well done Q....

The trick is to just get back on asap if you fall off....dont let one evening off piste allow you to slip into defeatist thinking and negative behaviours that bleed into the next day and the day after....look to the end goal or a milestone along the way....I had an ickle lapse on Sat eve - had a piece of cheese -!! my consultant said dont focus on that moment - but focus on all the stuff you didnt eat in the days and weeks before - perspective....if you want a treat once a week then have it as a planned reward - this keeps you on track in the long term - rather than going mental , cracking up and then throwing in the towel.

QuintessentialShadow · 10/05/2016 23:34

Thanks.
Today I have done 30 minutes of weights with my personal trainer, 40 minutes of interval jogging outdoors, and 75 minutes brisk walk with some friends. I am pretty beat. I think I can treat myself to half a sausage and a glass of white wine beyond my 1600 calories per day limit..... Right? Please tell me I can. I am new to this calorie counting malarkey.

hunibuni · 11/05/2016 00:52

I'm exhausted on your behalf! Spin in the morning so should be sleeping but got into the work zone earlier and kept in telling myself that I would go after the next page... 😰On the plus side, finished well before my deadline 😁

Agadooo · 11/05/2016 08:36

Quint-your weight loss is WOW!

I put it down to snacking on raw broccoli and staying away from chocolate and cakes, which is so bloody hard, as I am a total chocoholic. And keeping my metabolism up by eating every 90 minutes. This is the first diet that seems to work for me. Not sure how long I can keep it up, as I do 7-9 hours of exercise a week.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 11/05/2016 10:19

I've lost 12lb altogether now. Feeling really good knowing I'm almost at the 1 stone mark.

Just 2 more stone to go...

dazzlingdeborahrose · 11/05/2016 17:28

Hi everyone. So I really only got going this week. Had a good first couple of days but today I succumbed to the evil of chocolate Sad. Trying not to go down the "my day is ruined so might as well keep eating" route which is what is usually do. Exercise wise, I did some circuit training with friends on Monday and yesterday I got up early and went for a power walk before work. Another session of circuits to do tonight. So onwards and downwards.

hunibuni · 13/05/2016 10:01

Soooo stiff today after a PT session yesterday that involved strap work... Using your body weight and the resistance from straps is fine when you're fitter and lighter lol 😂😂 on the upside, I can feel the muscles today, every last one 😱

Trying to think of it more as healthier eating long term and the losing weight will go along with that but that the healthy eating regardless will be great for my health.

Yeah doing pretty good so far and haven't eaten anything that isn't low fat for almost 4 weeks-weigh in day tomorrow. Had a night out last night n had lots of drink but stuck to vodka/gin and diet coke and didn't have any cocktails or chips on the way home Smile-hope I lose 2/3 pounds tomorrow as only lost 1 last week.
