I'm at my heaviest ever-5'4" and 15 stone so I need to lose 4/5 stone. I've lost a couple of stone many times then get bored and put it all back on again but this time I'm determined and am going to take one day at a time. I started on Monday and all good so far-anyone want to join me and we could motivate each other and post meal suggestions if it would help?

Please can I tag along too. 5'4" and just shy of 15st. Would like to drop 4 by end of the year. Not going to try any particular plan just less food, more exercise.

Well done hunibuni-that's great! Drowning-how u finding ur smaller breakfast? Did my week 2 weigh in this morning -lost 2lbs. Just made my lunch for work tomorrow-so much easier when at work rather than weekends. Put the crisps down supslick-that's great youve almost lost a stone! I LOVE crisps but have swapped them for M&S count on us low fat ones if I need something crunchy. Welcome dazzling, that's what I'm aiming for too- cutting out all junk, increasing my water drinking and eating more fibre foods.

I've switched to walkers baked but tell myself they're low calorie so I can have three bags. Then get heartburn & carb guilt...

We can do this!

Hello all.
Well Ive started again today after my ridiculous binhge weekend. Ive put 2lb back on so I'm 13.5 again. I am so annoyed with myself. I always find that if I can tip down to the next stone it makes my motivation so much greater !!
Im going on holiday in 8 bloody weeks time !!! Why the thought of me in a swimsuit at 13.5 isnt enough motivation i'll never know !!!

Plus its getting hot now. I work in an office in a hospital and its bloody boiling already. All the young 20 something slim things are already floating around in little dresses and jeggings and vest tops etc.
I so so want to be comfy this year and not hidden away in an xlarge black t-shirt !!!

Hi can I join. I weighed myself today and shocked myself! Never been this big. The only time I ever lose weight if I feel motivated and don't want to live in tents over the summer!

Spin done, legs dead, arse sore lol I would be flying if I could get my sleep pattern sorted. My PT has told me to try and get to bed earlier but I'd just lie there awake. I'm tired, my body is tired but my mind won't switch off. I've tried one of the relaxation apps but spent half the night up just listening to the sound.

I need pitch dark and total silence to be able to sleep, and the eyemask helps but I can't risk earplugs in case I miss the alarm. As it is, I'm sitting here fighting the urge to sleep because I didn't get to sleep until nearly 2 and the alarm went off at 7:30 (didn't physically move until 8). I know that earplugs work but with DH finishing work at 3-4 in the morning I can't rely on him hearing the alarm and DCs are as bad as I am at getting up. We're a houseful of people who don't do mornings Grin Trying to get an owl to be a lark is impossible!

Yes I know what u mean about writing down what you eat-I do it at night for the following day and write down all the calories to keep track-seems to work-sticking to about 1200.

Can l join please? Also got 4 stone of 'baby weight' to lose, my baby is 2 in July! Been doing weightwatchers lost about 9lbs since Jan, struggling to stick to it as sugar and carbs are my go to as soon as tired, stressed etc, and that is most of the time!

I've been using My fitness pal to log my calories. Its interesting to me to see just how much I was overating !
It was how I managed to lose nearly 3 stone about 3 years ago.

NINE lb down in 6 days - on my VLCD!!! Weigh in on Tuesday's so 2 days into week 2. Trying to manage expectations that this week will be a much smaller loss....but high as a kite and really motivated with that result. Bit more tired in evenings and was v irritable for first few days. But I am I the zone now....Good luck all

I started a local slimming club over in Norway last week, will have my next weigh in on Tuesday. I 2-3 stone to lose, to take me from 15.7 stone to 12.5. I am 1.74 tall.
I lost 200g , 0.4 pounds in my first week.

I am supposed to have 1600 calories a day, spread out as a meal every three hours, with snack in between to increase metabolism. Little and often. It is hard.

I am still here!!....just back from weigh in (3 days early as consultant away this week)....so only 4 days since last weight in. Lost another 3.5lb - so 12.5 total and only 1.5 short of a STONE in 11 days. So motivated now to KOKO. I am in the zone. She said that week 3 on these diets are the most challenging for some reason.

I need my short term targets as well. 12st moves me officially out of obese to over weight - so these next 9lb (3 weeks?) are significant from a health point of view.

Wow Popple! I must admit, I looked at a VLC diet but had my wrists slapped by PT because she said that it would be too low to manage the workouts, plus I have found it difficult to do for longer than a week without feeling out of it.

huni - I agree VLCD not combined with intense fitness training. I am walking a lot and will add in moderate resistance soon (bought one of those pilates machines from QVC...in Jan - still not used it!)....and will up exercise when the weight has gone. There are tough milestones to reach on VLCD - day 3, day 10, etc my consultant told me this morning that week 3 is another common falling off point...which I am just entering now - but I am hoping that fore warned in fore armed. KOKO everyone.

I'm 5ft 3 1/2 (important half!) and started at 12st 7lb. I'm trying to lose 2 1/2 to 3 stone ready for when I'm a bridesmaid next April.

I've been sticking to the plan of 1200 cals and I've been doing couch to 5k too so running in the gym 3 times a week. I've lost 12lb already. Smile

Had 2 separate people ask me if I'd lost weight this weekend which has spurred me on.

I'm not usually very good at sticking to diets but hopefully this time I'll get there.
