I'm at my heaviest ever-5'4" and 15 stone so I need to lose 4/5 stone. I've lost a couple of stone many times then get bored and put it all back on again but this time I'm determined and am going to take one day at a time. I started on Monday and all good so far-anyone want to join me and we could motivate each other and post meal suggestions if it would help?

Welcome hunibuni-pretty much the same weight here-we CAN do this! PT idea sounds great as worked for you before and means u have to commit or they'll get you into trouble lol! I've sorted out my lunch n stuff to take to work tomorrow so no reason to buy snacks-find it easier when at work.

I have gym ADD and get bored so I need company. My friend went and got a daytime job and evenings are out because of DDs 1001 clubs, so PT was the best person to make sure I don't wander off after 20 mins lol I know that it will take forever for the scales to move but I'll lose inches quickly. As my GP put it, I'm heavier than I look Hmm

Hello. Wow you guys, you're weightloss so far Is amazing. Good job! Grin Seeing your weightloss is making me feel more motivated.

I haven't Weighed myself for a little while so no idea if I've lost anything more. Hope so. Although have been pigging out eating quite a bit Blush ... mainly healthy stuff though sort of Mind you have also been doing more excersise too. Only little bits though.

What different things are everyone doing for excersise?

Agadooo · 26/04/2016 19:02

Drowning-loving the idea of a spreadsheet! So tempting to weigh yourself everyday-don't think I could do it as would prob give up if I hadn't lost anything. Hey berry-I'm the most unfit person in the world but decided I needed to do sonething exercise related so went for a fast walk for an hour twice last week. Today for dinner I had 2 tuna steaks baked in foil in oven and courgette spaghetti-feeling healthy today and now need to have nothing else today as have reached 1200.

Having spent the day trying to avoid stairs and with my butt firmly parked because I have a looming deadline, I have committed myself to a spin class tomorrow 😂

hunibuni · 26/04/2016 19:25

I think my PT took my wanting legs like Bambi to mean wobbly...

I've been to spin before and I enjoyed it although I'll never admit it to DH. They cleverly have no clock in there so you don't get a chance to think 'are we there yet', like I do every time I start exercise😂😂😂

hunibuni · 26/04/2016 23:37

Try it drowning I'm the one tucked into a dark corner but everyone is cursing at the instructor so no one is paying attention to you, except for the odd eye roll and grimace, or if you go with friends like mine, totally inappropriate faces when you glance over!

Today I reached my goal of getting into the 13's by the end of April. So pleased then had a stressful day so I've eaten too much and will probably be back on 14 tomorrow!

Oh well onwards and upwards, back on it tomorrow. 4 pounds to go to 5 stone off, I've got to do this.

I'd also love to try a spinning class but I get knackered just watching other people do it. The only exercise I get is walking, working and the air walker I've got at home. Also go swimming once a week but take dd so don't move a lot.

Please can I join too? I'm 5'7 and 12 st 10 - so definitely would like to lose 3 stone at least. I've gained and lost 3 stone with each of my 3 pregnancies and all I know is up down up down up down - I can't maintain!
I've started getting up at 6am to run for 3 miles - given myself shin splints by doing too much too soon and now feel dejected. However, I have lost 5lbs since last Monday so am pleased with that. I just need to continue, I lose interest quickly, am very impatient!

I do feel better for doing it but I can feel the arse bruises starting because I struggle to get the bike seat and handles where I can stand up and down comfortably. hashtag curse of the shortarsedlegged. I'll feel even better tomorrow when I finish my PT session because I'll have been to the gym 3 times, which is the minimum that she wants me to aim for. Short term goal is to go to 2 PT sessions and 2 classes a week by the end of May and gradually build up from there.

I have to get over the 6 week, 8 week and 12 week hump (usually when i start to find reasons not to do stuff) because it's been a lifelong habit of mine. I have a trip to England in August and i'm determined not to be as uncomfortable as I was last year! At least this is the 3rd night that I have avoided night time snacking, which is the hardest habit to break because DH and I love a cuppa and several some biccys around this time.

hunibuni · 27/04/2016 21:03

happydoll that's amazing! I'm trying to break my weight loss into small chunks because it's depressing to think how much I have to lose, and that's when the fck it attitude starts to creep in. I'm giving myself £1/lb in a jar to treat myself to something nice at the end and small treats like facials for each 1/2st. I know myself that I work better if I can think that I only have to do X amount , meaning that when I get there I'll put the head down and go for the next bit.

Agadooo · 27/04/2016 22:57

Know what u mean about night time snacking hunibunni-kids go to bed then we always have tea and I like crackers and cheese or some biscuits but have managed since last monday to only have tea-soooo not the same Sad

OP posts:
hunibuni · 27/04/2016 23:38

I know! I have a savoury tooth so it's usually cracker and cheese, but funnily enough I won't eat them separately so they are safe to have in the house so long as i don't have both in.
