I'm at my heaviest ever-5'4" and 15 stone so I need to lose 4/5 stone. I've lost a couple of stone many times then get bored and put it all back on again but this time I'm determined and am going to take one day at a time. I started on Monday and all good so far-anyone want to join me and we could motivate each other and post meal suggestions if it would help?

I think that's the thing with weighing each day because it could be because you're retaining fluid. 2nd PT session done and we were having a good laugh at my lack of coordination. Who knew that stepping on and off a step would require so much concentration because i had to straddle it lengthways Shock I may have missed the step a few times Grin

Hello can I join please.

I'm 5ft 5 and weighed 14 stone about 3 weeks ago. I now weigh 13.5. Ive been doing so well for the last 3 weeks, haven't deviated or gone over 1200 cals once and the yesterday I binged Blush. Its the only way I can describe it. I had crisps, chocolate, bread, just everything really !!! I dont know why I do it.
So og course today when I got on the scales Ive put 2lb back on !!
This is normally the point where I give up but i'm not going to. Im going on holiday in 9 weeks time and would like to not look quite so hideous in a swimsuit !!!
Anyway, here I am Smile

hunibuni · 28/04/2016 13:17

No, I just have terrible coordination Grin I'm the person who counts when dancing and can get the feet down pat but add in the arms and I look like an octopus out of water! I have pretty good body awareness from doing martial arts and swimming, but I'm terrible at things like tennis or baseball/rounders. Funnily enough, I'm good at badminton Hmm

Welcome Bert- don't give up-just think of it as you enjoyed lots of nice stuff and are starting your healthy eating again fresh tomorrow-in the next 9 weeks you could lose the 2lb youve put back on plus another stone- you can do it Smile

Hi Bert - I am also an emotional binge-eater, had a very bad morning at work and ate 8 club bars in a row Blush felt very cross with myself but resolved not to let that throw me for the whole day/week and just carried on, Ive still hung on to my 5lb loss so am happy with that.
Keep going!

hunibuni · 28/04/2016 21:48

Hi Bert I binge and then give up, so don't give up. I'm also learning how not to let one small thing derail me in my head, but it's not easy. Just have to take it one day at a time.

Oh god, I've had a bad 2 days. I had a takeaway, crisps cake bar and white bread. Feel guilty and shit but I've done quite a few steps today so I'm hoping that will counteract some of the cals.

Tomorrow I've got to get back on track but Saturdays are by far my hardest days. No work to distract me and I eat when I'm bored Blush.

bonnie1981 · 29/04/2016 19:17

I'd like to start please, thinking of maybe on Sunday. Doing calorie counting via nutracheck. Think I'm going to try to reduce my portions rather than cutting things out, I think this would be more effective for me.

Also going to try to walk more. I have a personal trainer but tbh my heart hasn't really been in it so I need to look at maybe increasing number of sessions.

Feeling proud of myself for dragging my sorry ass into Spin class this morning (well 10:30) but I have lost the will to live looking at the pile of laundry in my kitchen...

After a binge weekend I'm not looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow. But new month and I'm losing as much as I can May and June so hopefully can enjoy the summer a bit more than usual. I'm always the one sweating in a cardigans and jeans in the heat because I'm too fat to wear shorts/t shirts Blush. That's my motivation this month and next.

1lb is still 1lb down. I get the disappointment because I have a friend who can easily lose 3-4 lbs while I struggle to lose 1, but she plateaus quicker than I do. My PT isn't weighing or measuring me for 6 weeks, and she strongly recommends going by how your clothes feel, especially if you're an emotional eater like I am.

happydollplease · 01/05/2016 17:19

2 and a half pounds down for me this week, 13st 13. I've promised myself I will never see a 14 in front of my weight again!

3 pounds to go for a 5 stone loss, 3 more to go. 1lb is still a loss daughter which is fabulous and a healthy rate , well done Smile

Poppledopple · 01/05/2016 18:10

Joining you lovely ladies. Started Cambridge on Thurs. 5'3" and 13st 8lbs - my PB - ouch. But 4st has to go. I have lost 3st before twice (about 6 years apart) - but it goes on again quite quickly.....so this time I know that the keeping it off will be the real diet/test as loosing it is rewarding in itself.

Day 4 doing OK, trying to drink all the water, doing 3 Cambridge products (bar, soup, meal) and then 200 cal meal. I am a bit hangry and irritable .... but have been on an hour walk each day so I hope that helps. Weigh in on Tues pm. From my previous weight losses I could see a pattern of 3 weeks loose followed by one week staying the same - this was quite demotivating at the time - but need to see the end game and not get too emotional and defeatist.

So 12 weeks of 640 cals to shift 4 stone brings me to 12th July.....which I believe is when the hard work really starts - back to normal food - keeping the weight stable.

Cjbusymummy · 01/05/2016 19:41

How are you lovely ladies planning on losing the weight? I've also been so down about my weight gain after having two babies back to back. I'm determined to get back to my prepregnancy weight. So far I'm down 1 stone in a month. Just need the motivation to keep going 😩

WestCoastDreamin · 02/05/2016 12:28

I'm over on the low carb threads but I'll check in here as well. I've a target weight loss of 29kg and I've shifted 4kg already so only 25kg to go! I don't know why I prefer kg, it just doesn't seem so big a mountain to climb, or something!

I've been doing low carb/high fat for the past 11 days, although I do also keep an eye on the calorie count and try not to go well over 1400 each day. Am also trying to get my 10,000 steps in each day and to manage a proper 'sweaty/heart-pumping' workout a few times a week.

I can definitely feel it in some of my clothes which is great, and I think I'm noticing a slight difference in my face, but that might be snapchat filters! Grin

The lowest adult weight I have been was 11st 4 which was 18 years ago. I hovered around the 13st mark for many a year but crept up over the last 2 years. It's going now, and for good.

hunibuni · 02/05/2016 12:36

Well, another PT session done and I took a sneaky peek at my weight in her diary and I was starting at 15st 4lb not 3 Blush and sneaky weigh in has me at 15st 2 1/2lb, so 1.5 off! Not really meant to weigh myself but well pleased Grin

SupSlick · 02/05/2016 20:21

Can I join pleaaaseeee! I'm 5 ft 7 (just) & starting weight a few weeks ago was 190 pounds (13 st 8) now I'm down to 179 pounds (12st 11) but ideally would like to be 9.5 stone.

Have been hammering the treadmill & doing 1200 calories a day but seem to have got stuck at a plateau. Need people to kick my arse into gear & stop me reaching for crisps.
