Was ur soup yummy green? Sorry to hear about the mice situation hope you guys get it under control. I love avocado........I could eat it on everything Smile

sol that is an amazing loss. I went on the exante website yesterday the food sounds quite nice. I am tempted........that would be a cool super hero name. What would your power be? I will be the amazing flab. Due to my flabby tummy. My super power would be to hoover up everything in sight Grin

blink how is it going? Did you eat the dippers?

beyond how's the running going? Are u still fasting/low cal?

I'm not sure what's going on. I look bigger, but not sure if it's the fact I've lost weight and it makes my tummy look bigger? I need to find a diet and exercise that will help me shrink my flabby mummy tummy.

I've down loaded the best apps. Called sworkit (there's a couple for different parts of the body). I've felt a bit low the past few days so eaten crappy but tomorrow I'll go back to my diet and workout!

Hope everyone is having a great bank holiday.

I have been totally rubbish. Only managed 1 run last week due to a head cold
hangover and ate too many carbs. Managed 2 fast days this week but then went out on a work thing, had 3 glasses of wine max and felt so rough the next day had loads of carbs. Today we had a day out which involved a cupcake and chocolate. My only saving grace is I have managed to increase my run today to 20 minutes. Hoping I have made the psychological switch to believing I can run now! So because of the alcohol, chocolate and carbs, it looked like I gained another lb.....
It's now my birthday week but decided I can't have a birthday eating week, so planning on 3 fast days and already have my runs planned.

How's my Taurean friend green ? Hope no more signs of mice? Soup sounded brill. Have you decided re birthday gift. I think DH is getting me a new longchamp bag, my current one is so well used, it's developing holes in the corners.

Amazing weight loss Sol and good work with the exercise. Hope tote is better now. Swear it gets worse with age. Have you nice weekend plans?

How are you rachey ? Your meals plans are really good don't worry about the pizza 2 weeks till your holiday - exciting! Good luck with the fast days.

I'll check out your app blink Don't be too hard on yourself. Hope you are feeling better.

beyond how are u planning on celebrating your birthday? Is your dh planning on taking you out?

Well done on the running. 20 minutes is a long time. It's great that you are planning. I feel I stick to eating/exercise if I plan.

Thanks. I haven't fasted in a long time so I hope I can manage it.

How did I ever do the 5:2 diet? I'm so hungry, all I can think about is food. My tuna salad seems like a distant memory.

Hope your all having a great bank holiday

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/05/2016 22:11

Can we all just pretend the bank holiday weekend was a food-fest where calories are burned by simply sitting on ones arse?? Please oh please!!!

Didn't think I ate loads but then I totted it up and it seems what I ate was very calorific. Add to that 2 gallons of wine and zero exercise it was basically just an experiment to see how fat my 3 arses could get. Did the Shred tonight and REALLY felt it, totm is fucking endless and I feel awful so my mood is pretty low. But at least I shredded and I will have Exante tomorrow.

I did 5:2 recently Rachey and the key was to busy all the time on fast days. If I wasn't sitting I wasn't eating. My house sparkled. Over eating on my non-fast days was my downfall.

That's incredible that you can run for 20 mins Beyond, I'm so proud of you (hope that doesn't come across as patronising), you have done bloody brilliantly. Do you look forward to your runs? I hope you have a great birthday, are you planning a meal out/party or anything?

What's the app like Blink, my phone is ancient but I'm due a new one soon so that app could be in my future if it's good.

How are you getting on Green?

Report
Greenrabbit · 02/05/2016 23:23

I've been terrible Blush. I think I should just accept that I'll never be thin.
I've also had about 2 gallons of wine.

I'll post properly tomorrow.

Beyond, I hope you have a lovely week. I know what you mean about trying not the whole week descend into some sort of food festival.
It's DD1's Birthday week as well, I fear that there will be lots of cake involved.
Your bag sounds lovely. I still haven't decided on anything. I looked at the Apple watch at the weekend, but I wasn't keen.
Being able to run for 20min is a massive achievement.(also not being patronising, I can't run for toffee) Well done, you've done so well this year.

How did your fast day go Rachey? Didn't you lose all your weight after DS1 doing 5:2? I keep trying it, but I never stick to it for long enough to see much result (actually the first time I lost 10lb in about 6 weeks then gave up!)
Is it your stomach having more loose skin? Or does it stick out more? I think I've mentioned the Mutu system before? I've had it for 3 years and fully intend to start it any day now! It helps repair the muscles and flatten your stomach. I'll link it below.

Have you restarted Exante Sol? I know what you mean about TOTM. It was the same for me this weekend. Although the PMT is improving I just feel miserable and can't be bothered with much.
I've been for a walk today. Yesterday I managed to eat reasonably well and not drink any alcohol.

I'll have a look at that App blink How was the rest of your weekend?

I've sort of decided that my Birthday present to myself will be 'sorting myshit self out'.
I'm aiming on getting to bed earlier. Take more gentle exercise and improving my diet/getting serious about weight loss. I will be starting next Monday.
This week I'm going to try to walk more and go to bed earlier. I need to start being slightly nicer to myself. DH pointed out that I'm never positive about myself, then I comfort eat/drink to make myself feel better.

Sorry for moaning. I better go and tidy before the school run.

I agree, this weekend never happened Grin

Well done on the shred Sol Thanks for yours and Greens congrats re the run, but seriously I am slow it's embarrassing. I am starting week 6 and once I get to the end of the plan I will try and increase my speed.
Well done on your fast day rachey and your work out. I think I'll come in at 7-800 but it's better than the zillion cals of the past few days.

I don't think you were moaning at all Green sounds like you have a really positive plan. I agree re getting to bed earlier and also the walking. You have so much to be positive about, so yes give yourself a break and definitely be kind to yourself :)
We could invest in that group CBT....

This is the bag I want:
www.harrods.com/product/le-pliage-large-shoulder-bag/longchamp/s12-0401-076-LGC-057?p=3349972&cat1=bc-longchamp&cat2=bc-longchamp-pliage

It may not have been interpreted as that bag..... but I'm also getting a new phone as mine is on it's last legs (Iphone I inherited from DH).

Today I dragged DD into town, she was a bit naughty and so I only managed M&S.

Thought these T's might be of interest, they re a good sleeve length and quite flattering.

Also spotted these, my day of heels are over...

Not going out for birthday, DD being a pickle at bedtime, takes an hour to settle her in her room, she then wakes within a couple of hours and end up with us, I don't have the heart or energy to leave her cry/do numerous resettles. I know we need to address long term though. Having lots of parenting doubts at the mo, feel we find boundaries difficult. DS expects a toy every time we go out and we often let him have something. I think we need to say no more, I tried to explain that toys cost money and he has lots of nice things but he doesn't really understand. Guess I
we just need to say no and man up!

Thanks Beyond. She is very excited, it's like planning a wedding sorting out party stuff.

I just looked at my earlier post. I mentioned an early night twice so I must be tired!

I haven't seen anymore signs of mice since I cleaned up their mess and put poison down. Hopefully they'll stay outside.

I love the bag Beyond. I've never had a Longchamp one before. Did you ever get that Chloe one you liked (am I remembering correctly?)

It's difficult to shop properly with children. We went to Newcastle on Sunday. We managed 2 toy departments, a meal, a quick trip to the Apple shop and then John Lewis stationary department. I really wanted to look at Nars and Charlotte Tilbury but everyone was getting grumpy.

I got into the habit of buying DD1 something small every week too. Mainly because she is such a lovely child (most of the time). But the amount of comics etc was getting ridiculous. I've explained to her and we've fell out of the habit again. I've just involved her more when she does actually need something new so she feels like she's had a treat (she needed a new swimming costume last week so we picked one together and she was very happy).

I always have to be the strict parent. It does get tedious though.

Could you not go out for a Birthday lunch? My DD2 is a pain at bedtime too, she sounds like your DD! I think 2013 was a year of feisty children! Now I cuddle her on the settee and put her to bed when she's fell asleep. It's easier. I like easy.

I'm not sure how to link the app(hehe).
Took ds swimming today with DP and actually managed to do quite a bit of exercise.
Managed a salad for dinner, drank a load of water and feel slightly better. Hope ds sleeps tonight!

I think my problem lately is that I'm so dehydrated that I'm getting really lethargic and just can't muster up the will to work out or even cook properly. I'm making it my goal to drink loads of water!

(Jealous of everyone who's been drinking this bank holiday, I've had to have a dry one ugh)

That bag is fab Beyond and the t-shirts look gorgeous, in fact the model looks like a Mum who has been cornered by her kids as she tried to sneak out. Could you give your son some pocket money so he has something to spend and he will understand the value of toys? Give him a fiver or a few quid and take him to the pound shop to buy something. We have issues with DS1 settling down to sleep, he finds it really hard to unwind, I feel really sorry for him as he gets over tired.

I think your plan to sort yourself out is a good one Green. I was a bit like that last week. Could you get yourself a few sessions with a personal trainer (not really my idea of a present) or a meet up with a personal shopper so you could get a few new pieces? Little changes do add up to big differences but there needs to be lots of them, so maybe do a "I'll eat more protein", "I'll cut right back on sugar" "No alcohol during the week" sort of changes. I give myself a clap on the back of every day that I don't screw it up. I also try to slap on a bit of make up so when I feel crap at least I don't look too bad.

I Shredded and had Exante today and even after my food and wine catastrophe over the weekend I am still 3 lbs down on last week, I think it would have been closer to 8lbs if I hadn't messed up. But I will persevere.

I have to admit I am the strict parent in this house. I have negotiable and non-negotiable rules and the kids seem to follow it well. For instance, if the kids really want something different for dinner I will make it for them, even if it means doing different meals, I also like their input and opinions, they can wear what they want and decorate their rooms however they please. However, "No" means no, pretty strict on manners, they have to tidy away after eating, getting dressed and undressed etc. A lot of my friends are all about chores and children should be seen and not heard etc. I stick out like a sore thumb sometimes Grin.

Hi Pirate, how are you? Of course you can join, have you a diet plan in mind?

I'm just waiting to Shred again and I can honestly say when it comes time to do it I am actually looking forward to it. The food has been fine for the last 2 days, but I had a little of the kids garlic bread this evening. Can anyone recommend a decent abs routine? My stomach is really floppy and desperately needs some toning up, I think some of it is extra skin or something.

The weekend is coming up and I'm hoping to have Exante for breakfast, soup for lunch and salad and quorn/tofu for dinner. I want to eat actual food but I keep going off the deep end and stuffing my face, so I'm trying to test the waters with real food. Any advice from anyone? The weather is going to be fab this weekend so I'm hoping salad and stuff will be nice.

Hope everyone is having a good day!
