That's amazing Sol - so proud of you! 90 min class, who on earth would have the time and tolerance for that?!
Sounds like you had a great weekend?

Rachey do you think more weight loss would help? I know you are doing loads at the gym, it's not easy I know, but I really would think surgery was an absolute last resort of course this is just my opinion and I ma sure you will do what is right for you.

Hope you are having a great half term Green and hope you are feeling a bit brighter.

Pomegranatepompom · 23/02/2017 21:00

Hope everyone is having a good week, just slightly fallen into some chocolate. On the whole been pretty good though.
Planning a run tomorrow.
Todays food:
Greek yogurt & berries
Chicken salad
Cashew nuts
Chicken & mixed veg
Just now twiglets and 6 squares of dairy milk.
Will try and be good for next 3 days before Mondays weigh in.

Pomegranatepompom · 25/02/2017 15:40

Oops - having a sugar fail ....

Pomegranatepompom · 28/02/2017 20:47

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Giving up chocolate, biscuits and cake for Lent. Hoping to lose a stone during this time.... Didn't weigh in due to indulgent weekend so 1st weigh in next week.

Was this your weekend in Brighton rachey ?
Hope you had a great half term Green
How are you getting on Sol ?

Racheyg · 28/02/2017 22:31

Evening all,

pom Brighton was great thanks. We love it there. Oh wants to relocate there but I'm worried we will alienate ourselves from family and friends. Plus house prices arent that different to my part of east London.

Start a new week, I admire the no sugar I couldn't do it. Do you have to give up fruit as well? How is the running going?

sol and green how are you both?

I have put on 5lbs this past month. I haven't really been diet focused. I am gonna try and get my head down and really focus I need to get below 10st. If I go ahead with the tt I need to be 15-20 lbs off goal weight.

Racheyg · 01/03/2017 09:10

Back on the "eat well" (not sure if my calling it a diet makes me instantly want to reach for the crisps)

Breakfast
Hot water and lemon
Protein yogurt
Mixed berries
Flaxseed

Snack
Carrots

Lunch
Chicken soup

Snack
Clementines

Dinner
Stuffed peppers
Bulgur wheat
Salad

Will have about 4 coffees throughout the day as well. I think I will total at 1000 cals today.

sol your 10lb loss has made me really happy. It's great seeing such amazing results on the scales. And well done for enduring a 90 min class

green how are you feeling?

Racheyg · 01/03/2017 09:47

The pancakes And bacon is what I made oh
The very flat protein pancakes were mine. I know which ones I would have preferred

Greenrabbit · 01/03/2017 21:52

Those pancakes look amazing Rachey.

I will try to post properly tomorrow. I'm ill (again) and going to bed now.

Looks like you are all doing well though.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 03/03/2017 21:30

Hi,

Glad to hear you had a good time in Brighton Rachey. Your pancakes look great, were they nice?

Pom, I hope you're feeling better. It's hard to stick to healthy eating when you're feeling sick.

The kids have all been sick here (a weird viral infection, chest infections and tonsillitis) and I seem to be coming down with some sort of throat/cough thing. I lost 1 lb last week and then stayed the same this week - but I was out for food on Tuesday so I wasn't surprised.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 03/03/2017 21:33

Sorry, I meant Green I hope you're feeling better. Maybe I should be going to bed too Grin I seem to be losing it.

How's lent going Pom? I didn't give up anything, but plan to stick to Slimming World.

Racheyg · 06/03/2017 09:07

sol well done on your 1lb loss. How are you feeling within yourself? Hopefully your positive attitude will rub off on me.

green how are you feeling?

pom how is the no sugar going? Can you give me tips how you cope with the cravings?

Another week failed for me. I need to get back my positive attitude I had last year. Weight creeping up and I'm constantly bloated which I know is the carbs. I'm going to be good this month (well until I have a hen party in April)

Greenrabbit · 09/03/2017 09:12

Hi everyone.
I'm finally starting to feel better again, everyone ended up with head colds. Even one of the guinea pigs was poorly.

Well done on your SW loss Sol. That's amazing. You'll have to give me some tips. I've paid till May, so I better try again really! How has this week gone?

Are you feeling okay Rachey? It's difficult staying positive.

Is Lent going well Pom?

Pomegranatepompom · 11/03/2017 17:31

Hi,

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Sol hope you and DC are better, well done on your lb.
Green glad you are feeling better, you seem to have had a real run of illness :( Good luck with slimming world.
How are you Rachy ? Don't be too hard on yourself, you've done really well. Where is the hen party?

I weighed in on Monday and had lost 3lbs, not hopeful for weight loss next week, I've had a really hungry week for some reason. Need to get my focus back, did have a run today.
I'm now day 13 no chocolate, biscuits or cake and finding it harder this time round. I think I'm eating too many carbs but it's hard to reduce them as well as not allowing myself any treats!

DH has man flu - sigh

Racheyg · 12/03/2017 14:50

green glad you and your family are feeling better. It's worth a shot sw, friends and family are doing it any they have had some positive results without even feeling like dieting.

sol how did this week at sw go? I hope you are well?

pom wow 3lbs is amazing. How are you feeling?

I have failed again. But I'm not going to dwell. I will focus on Monday and start again. My weight is slowly creeping up so I have to start back to basics again, I know what to do, it's just putting it into practice.

It is hard to remain positive this last year has been my hardest weight loss. I have been putting on and losing this stone for a year now.

The hen do is in Liverpool I've never been so I'm very excited.

Racheyg · 14/03/2017 08:06

Morning all,

Yesterday wasn't too bad. I started off very well. Had my usual Greek yogurt and berries for breakfast and soup for lunch. Now this is where it went a little silly.

I organised a course which had food. I stayed away from the sandwiches but the onion Bajis were amazing and so were the chicken kebabs.

Today's meal plan
Greek yogurt, berries, flaxseed - breakfast

Chicken and veg soup - lunch

Pink lady - snack

Eggs baked in tomato sauce - dinner

Wish me luck

Pomegranatepompom · 14/03/2017 09:22

Good luck! I think your food plan sounded good and chicken kebabs are healthy :)

I lost a lb this week, but Im not focused and eating too many carbs. Is had crisps yesterday and also eating too many nuts.
I had greek yog and berries, soup, nuts, chicken with veg and then crisps! I think was probably around 1800 cals...

Need to reign myself in otherwise it's going to take ages to lost a stone (and really could do with losing 1 1/2).
Hope everyone is having a good week.

Pomegranatepompom · 14/03/2017 16:35

I can't take much more of the man flu !!! Shock who knew it could go on for so long ??!

Racheyg · 15/03/2017 09:15

pom I feel for you, it must be hard having dh ill. Well done on your loss, you seem really focus. I know how hard it is to rein it in, I'm still struggling.

How is the running going? The weather is really improving so it must be quite nice to get out and go for a run.

I'm not sure whether to join a club, maybe the thought of standing on scales and telling people of the gain/loss will help me mentally? I know sw isn't for me. I can't eat carbs like that, I would struggle.

I think I ate about 1000 cals yesterday and went spinning and burnt 523 cals do I have to burn what I eat to lose weight?

Racheyg · 15/03/2017 09:17

Meal plan for today

Greek yogurt, mixed berries and flax seed

Easy peel clementines

Chicken and veg soup

Pink lady

Salmon, mangetout, asparagus and broccoli

Greenrabbit · 15/03/2017 09:54

Well done on your loss Pom. I'm impressed with your running too, are you still doing C25K?
How is your DH doing? There does seem to be lots of nasty viruses about at the moment. Are you having to do everything? Make sure you look after yourself too.

If you fancy a club Rachey I would recommend WW. The current plan encourages low sugar and carbs. They are much more professional than most SW meetings I've been to. Plus the meetings are quick and focus on useful topics. You don't have a 'post mortum ' of the previous week. Plus the WW app is really useful and links to your fitness device.
I'm actually considering going back Blush

I spoke too soon when I said we were better. My cold turned into tonsillitis. DD2 has a chest infection, the guinea pig also has a chest infection.
So the last few days have been spent at the Dr, Vet (£££). I've been also spending time forcing children and GPig to take medication and eat (plus I was a hysterical mess at the thought of the GPig dying- he might still)
But I started making more of an effort on Monday. I saw some friends posting on FB about losing 2stone in 9-12 weeks doing SW. I realised unless I actually try that won't happen for me.
So I'm trying to follow the SW rules without eating any rubbish (like Muller lights or instant noodles). Keeping the carbs low (limiting the rice and pasta). DH said my face looks slimmer this morning (in other words less bloated!)
I'm just going to keep chipping away slowly. I think getting better and improving my diet is the focus for this week.
I really want to start exercising again properly too. I've even been investigating gyms.

Hope you all have a good week.

Afternoon guys,

Just a quickly while I'm waiting to get lasered. Have had food poisoning the past two days and though I would lose some weight.......no I'm still 10st 7lbs wtf?

I joined ww online this morning. I haven't done ww for about 8 years.......it's so different

Pomegranatepompom · 20/03/2017 19:46

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Rachey 10.7 is very small! Hope you are feeling better.

*Green( you poor things, surely this illness has to end for your family & pets soon. Hope all better? Fab that your face is slimmer? Hows the gym research going?

Sol hope you are ok lovely. Hope you are just busy and don't have anything else stressful going on.

No weight loss for me this week but I had a takeaway at the weekend and pasta and some apple pie which I justified as not being a cake. Going to have a stricter week !

Pomegranatepompom · 21/03/2017 21:35

DH still unwell, told him to make GP appointment. Is it normal to have no sympathy, I know IABU (!) and but I'm so stressed and think it's a last straw scenario. I'm being a total cow, but I just want him to take responsibility for himself.

Rant over (for now)

Racheyg · 22/03/2017 09:19

pom in the same, I struggle to have sympathy for oh when he is unwell. Although he did take the day off work to look after dcs on Friday when I was in the throws of food poisoning. But hey they are his kids too.

Is it still flu type symptoms? Are dcs ok? What take away did you have? I'm seriously starving right now Grinat least you stayed the same. How is the running going?

green are you better? You poor things have had a run if it. Is the pig ok?

sol how is sw going? I hope your all well?

I'm really enjoying ww I don't feel like I'm on a diet. I may not count this week as I haven't been well so when I have been eating it's been lots of bread, crackers ect I haven't been to the gym since last Thursday either Blush are any of you doing anything nice for Mother's Day

Greenrabbit · 23/03/2017 10:34

My DH is also the same Pom. He actually went to the doctors yesterday. I was amazed that he'd made an appointment but it turned out that MIL made it for him. He was triumphant because he is officially ill and has antibiotics.

Are you feeling better now Rachey?

We are sort of getting better. DD is still coughing and is not complying at nursery (she's very stubborn and won't do what they ask her to do).
The guinea pig is still with us, but he's lost a lot of weight so is being monitored.

Diet is terrible again. I just seem to spend my time trying to tidy up and cooking for everyone. I've been trying to clearout clothes etc but that just made the mess worse. Then I don't seem to have any motivation to make myself anything decent to eat.

Found some in date Exante (about 10 days worth). I'm considering starting that on Monday.

No plans for Mother's Day. I'll probably be cooking my own dinner.

I sound like such a misery!
