Making a shopping list for the grocery shopping later, trying to avoid lots of food that will derail my ww plan. I wanted to buy some of the gorgeous coffee and pastries that were on sale in the little market near to DS2's school. Instead I bought a cinnamon candle. Cost me about 3 times as much but at least my house will smell fab and my straining jeans will thank me.

I will not eat pastries... I will not eat pastries....

I'm going to weigh in tomorrow, what with it being the first day of the month. Under pressure now to lose 10 lbs in 24 days. But fingers crossed. I wanted to start doing The Shred but I can't fit it in. I've picked up extra hours in both of my jobs and by the end of the day the thoughts of working out does nothing for me. I've even started getting up at 6 am some mornings so I can clean the house and do laundry otherwise it all piles up.

How is everyone getting on with Christmas shopping? I thought we were nearly done, but it turns out DH hasn't bought any gifts, I'm leaving it to him though, I don't want to do his shopping for him. The thought would fill me with dread.

I hope everyone is having a good day!

Pomegranatepompom · 30/11/2016 20:31

Exciting news rachey you must be so pleased and proud. We can surge forward with weight loss in January Grin No dress, I am going to try and get a couple of hours of child free shopping on Friday.

You sound very focused Sol Well done on avoiding the pastries. Good luck for your weigh in. I'm going for a final push with weight but hoping for 3lbs. I wish I could lose 10lbs. I'm trying to walk more as no time like you for more exercise.
How are you green ?
I've still some shopping to do. Tree will go up Saturday.
Excited to start advent calendar tomorrow :)

Racheyg · 02/12/2016 20:00

guilt post
I'm scoffing a papa johns. No way will I lose weight before xmas. Blush

Racheyg · 05/12/2016 12:07

Morning all.

I hope everyone had a great weekend?

I twisted my back trying to run after ds2 to get him dresses I was in such agony. Needless to say I didn't go to the gym and have been scoffing my face. Oh well.........
Roll on a fat loss for 2017?

Thanks for all the praise for ds1 it does melt your heart hearing them speak. He sounds like a little cockney at the moment which I'm hoping he will lose soon (although we do live east London Grin) instead of why he is a "what you doing"

How is your advent calendar pom?

green did you get the m&s one in the end?

Have you got one sol?

My kids don't have one. Am I the worst mother in the world?! Grin

Pomegranatepompom · 05/12/2016 20:33

Hi all,

Hope your back is better rachey ?

If it makes you feel better re your pizza, I had burger and fries and cake yesterday. Needless to say this morning I had not lost weight and remain the same. Still going to and lose 3lbs before Christmas (somehow!) am not too optimistic, too many yummy things around. My DC sound a bit cockney too and we don't live in London !

The advent calendar I am really enjoying, a couple of items I was neutral about but am interested to try.

How are you green and Sol ?

Greenrabbit · 05/12/2016 22:35

Hi everyone, sorry for not posting.

Great news about your DS Rachey. Mine have both had Cockney accents too! DD2 is currently American (too much TV)
I hope your back improves.

I'm still failing at dieting. Not feeling at all positive at the moment.

I will try to catch up properly tomorrow.

I did get the M&S beauty calendar. It's been quite good so far. I think I'll have to have a complete spending ban in 2017. I have too many cosmetics Xmas Blush

Have to been reading this and I have to say ladies, don't give up!!!

This time of year is super tough, we're pre-programmed to eat more when it's super cold and plus around Xmas there just seems to be yummy food everywhere. But that makes it even more important to work hard now, because if you can make it through winter then next year will be a doddle.

So enjoy the treats but be mindful of portion sizes, don't be too strict but also don't let go completely and focus on getting lots of nutrition your body will love from veggies.

You can do it!!

Pomegranatepompom · 06/12/2016 10:00

Morning Green Sorry you are not feeling positive, I wish I could help.
I have a confession, I got the M&S calendar too Blush I'm such a product addict.. I think it's been great so far and looking forward to trying new things out. What do you think of the products so far green ?

Thanks for the encouragement BoRadley you must think we are hopeless. Join us :) I do think I have learnt a lot through the years (!) on this thread. Greek yogurt and berries so far today and know to plump for full fat yogurt now. Mushroom and chicken stir fry for lunch.

Off to do some Christmas shopping now. Back later.

Greenrabbit · 13/12/2016 23:06

Placemarkng! Xmas Grin

Pomegranatepompom · 14/12/2016 07:21

I appear to have put on 2lbs already ! Due to a Christmas party and a hangover ...

Greenrabbit · 14/12/2016 09:25

That's not too bad Pom, as long as you enjoyed Have you got many social events to go to? Are you still fasting over Christmas?

I'm too scared to step on the scales! I don't even have anything to go to over Christmas (good job really, nothing fits me).

I cancelled my WW membership the other day. It obviously wasn't working for me. Trying to get my head around next year as I can't go on like this.

I'm trying to get everything sorted this week as the DC finish on Friday. DD1 is ill so I've been rushing round doing everything but.
The tree has been up with just lights on for 3 days now. I better go and get on with my jobs. I'm not feeling very festive at all Xmas Sad

Hope you are both okay Rachey and Sol

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 14/12/2016 17:24

Hope DD1 improves soon and you start to feel more festive Green
I think very wise to cancel ww if not working for you. We can all try really hard in January.

I've one more work thing and 2 lunches out. Basically from tomorrow it's going to be really hard for me to diet or fast until Dec 29th. I will try and fast that day. From 2nd Jan I am going to fast 3 days a week but be super strict at sticking to 1500 cals 3 days a week with 1 day off. I don't really want to put any more weight on but think there's no chance of that ..
How are you sol and rachey are you stuck under a giant glass of Prosecco ?😉

Greenrabbit · 19/12/2016 09:29

Thanks Pom. DD seems slightly better thanks.
They've finished school now so we are going to to some Christmassy things this week.

Decided to weigh myself today. I'm 2 stone heavier than last Christmas (which is my own fault).
I'm going to try a few mini fast days this week, just so I feel less bloated. I think I'll remove some of the goodies from the Christmas shop too! (I'll probably be the only one to eat them)
Still not sure of the plan for next year. Probably cutting out the processed rubbish to start with and maybe fasting? I must start exercising.

I hope you are all okay. Have a good week everyone.Xmas Smile

Pomegranatepompom · 19/12/2016 20:10

Well done on weighing green that was really brave of you. You know where you are now and we can make a plan. Glad your DD is getting better.

I am going to try and lose a stone in January (which is I think the stone I lost 2 years ago Blush I've tried not to over order as well. I've already put on weight due to a few lunches out and 2 parties.

How are you Sol and rachey

Are you all ready? I still have a couple of small presents to buy. What are your views on buying for adult nephews and nieces?

Racheyg · 19/12/2016 22:47

make way for my lardy arse - i have put on over half a stone before xmas Shock sorry for the MIA - work has been crazy busy, and I am without my phone so no quick posting on the tube to work.

Pomegranatepompom · 23/12/2016 20:56

Morning all,

I hope you all have had a great Christmas.

I am really paying for the over indulging I did before Christmas. It hasn't given me any leeway on stuffing my face now as my clothes are getting very tight.

pom I'm very excited to here what you have instore idea wise.

I also concur thank you all so much for all you help and support in 2016 xx

Pomegranatepompom · 29/12/2016 19:40

Evening !

I'm enormous. I feel enormous and clothes are tight. Weighed in on Tuesday and had put on 5lbs Shock it could well be more now!

Going to need a miracle or a strict plan.

Dry, sugar free January?
I'll write more re ideas but I think we need to have a weigh day and also a fitness schedule....

Pomegranatepompom · 30/12/2016 08:04

I weighed myself, it was not good. I have put on another 2 lbs. How is it possible to put on 7lbs n 7 days?!

Anyway, I'm fasting today.....

Racheyg · 30/12/2016 12:27

pom it's easy, I'm back up to 11st 5lbs Blush I have not held back thou, have well and truly eaten everything and anything.

Well done for fasting today. Have you had a good Christmas? Did you get lots of nice presents?

green and sol how were your Christmases?

We have just spent 3 nights at Butlins! and the food is just everything with chips and cause it's there I eat it.

I'm going to re-start the body coach on 3rd Jan. Have started my online food shop and going to spend 2nd Jan cooking.

I stupidly threw all my larger clothes out and now my 12s are getting tight I'm wishing I kept some back

Greenrabbit · 01/01/2017 11:15

Happy New Year everyone.

How was Christmas for everyone? Ours was quiet, which was great.
We've all had cold so most of the time has been spent relaxing. We have tried to drag ourselves outside most days for a walk though.

I've stil got loads of Christmas food left. I have no idea why I buy so much cheese every year (well it's because I'm greedy and love it), I'm the only one who eats it.

I haven't weighed myself yet. We are having an Indian takeaway with the inlaws tonight and I'm going to finish off some of the stuff in the fridge that is open and needs using up.

So my general plan so far is to start again on Tuesday. I'm devising some sort of plan today which I'm sure I'll bore you all with later Grin

I keep looking at Butlins Rachey. DH isn't having any of it. Sounds great for the DC.
Are you signing up for the Body Coach again? Or can you reuse last year's plan?

Well done on the fasting Beyond. The extra pounds will soon drop off as we'll all be so motivated this year Wink. Do you have any particular plans for sugar free? I will be joining you with dry January.

I was spoilt (as usual) for Christmas. I got some Charlotte Tilbury makeup, lots of books, some house stuff (from relations). I also got one of the electric pressure cookers! I've had a quick mess about with it and it's great, I'm hoping it will save a lot of time preparing meals.
DH also bought me an Apple Watch. I'm still trying to get to grips with it, it's not as simple as my Fitbit (I'm getting old!)

I'm off to take down Christmas decorations and formulate some sort of diet plan to start. I'll be back to report later.

Hi,
Sorry for disappearing, life got very stressful just before Christmas and I have to say it didn't do my mental health any good. But I've spent the time since Christmas just chilling out and I feel more like myself. I had been suffering from stress induced insomnia so was awake from 1.30am most days and not being able to sleep til midnight, it was horrendous. I seem to have re-set my body clock a bit so feeling a bit more rested.

I'm glad to hear you all had good Christmases, and thanks for listening to all my woes last year, I'm sure we will be skinny in no time. I am enormously fat so I'm restarting weight watchers. I plan to follow it for January and hopefully lose a stone, I weigh one stone heavier than this time last year.

Right, I'm going to bite the bullet- my start weight is 216.2 lbs (that's 15 stone 4 lbs). How embarrassing.
My goal weight by the 31st of January is - 200 lbs (that's 14 stone 2 lbs).

I will lose weight this year I'm fairly optimistic about it all. This is our year!

Pomegranatepompom · 02/01/2017 10:21

Sol so nice to see you but so sorry to hear you've had a miserable time. Is there anything I/we could help with? I did think about you (in non stalker way!). Hope your sleep continues to improve, lack of sleep is so miserable.

Good plan with the stone and I'll join you. My start weight is 11.10 which is I think pretty much the same as the past few January's...

Great presents green. I've loads of cheese left too. I was thinking about getting a slow/pressure cooker, so let me know how you get on.

How was Butlins rachey ? Good luck with the body coach.

I was wondering if we need to be a bit more focused so we are more inclined to stick to it? Weekly weigh ins. Could we join up any of our fitness devices? or have a weekly exercise plan and we write when we have completed?

Today is day 1 of no cake/biscuits/chocolates/crisps. Planning on a very strict week.

I had nice presents too: books, perfume. dvd's, toiletries
Just had a look in the sales and think of buying:

www.jigsaw-online.com/product/contrast-pom-pom-scarf/J26994_BL010

Haven't purchased anything else although really want a bag (could use some Christmas money towards it from PIL).
