Racheyg · 11/10/2016 08:16

Yummy beyond I love wagamamas

Racheyg · 11/10/2016 08:27

green I love Indian what did you get?

Hope everyone is well?

Ok so started diet again on Sunday. I think I'm averaging T about 850 cals and about 60g of carbs. Still doing my exercise thou,I think I would hVe gone crazy with out the gym. I really want a pt but I just can't afford it at the moment maybe I should stop getting my nails, hair and waxing done? What do you think Grin

I'm having a bit of a shit time of recent, job ect and travelling in London (to a from work) is getting me down.

Sorry this post is so self indulgent.

BeyondTheSea · 11/10/2016 17:03

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time rachey

Well done on restarting. Could you share the expense of a pt with someone else?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 11/10/2016 20:57

hi all,

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time Rachey, I'm part time in 2 jobs and it's working out really well. Would that be an option for you?

All your takeaways sound lovely, I was out for a Thai meal over the weekend, it was delicious. What do you have in Turkish takeaway Rachey, we have nothing like that near us but I would love to try.

I've been on Exante for the last 2 days and have lost the grand total of 0.4lb. How bloody disheartening is that?! I have 2 days worth of food left and then I will go onto James Duncan for a week. I've spent the last 2 days being hungry and miserable but consoling myself with the thought that I'd lose about 7lbs this week. I don't think that's going to happen.

How are you getting on Beyond?

How are things going Green?

SolitudeSometimesIs · 13/10/2016 10:18

Hi,

how is everyone getting on?

I managed 2 and a half days of Exante and I am now on the James Duncan diet (I think I called it Duncan James up further but that's the guy from Blue). So today's menu is:

  • 1 slice of dry toast with 1 grilled tomato or tinned tomatoes.
  • Fresh fruit any amount
  • 2 hard boiled eggs, salad and grapefruit.

I know it will be a struggle but I am so sick of being fat. I was trying to buy some winter clothes for work and everything looked dreadful on me, all the long coats made me look like an over-stuffed sausage and the gorgeous thick knitted cardigans and long-length jumpers just highlighted my fat.

The weather has turned really cold here, which is lovely, but I still have nothing to wear. I ended up trying on size 18 jackets and they were too big on the shoulder, but sadly fit perfectly on my stomach and bum. It's so bloody depressing.

I will probably fill this thread with hungry ramblings over the next few days. I'm hoping for a 10lb weightloss.

BeyondTheSea · 18/10/2016 13:17

Afternoon,

How is everyone?
How are you getting on with James Duncan Sol ?

I'm the same, I had put on 2 of the 8lbs I lost but have managed to lose them again. So still 20lbs to go for me, would like to lose 10lb before Christmas.

Making no progress with potty training, DD either not interested, not aware or cant be bothered!

Racheyg · 18/10/2016 17:13

Sorry all,

It's been a awful week.

sol how is the jd diet going? How do you managed 2 part time jobs? I'm scared to leave tbh it's been a huge part of my life I have been there since I was 20.

beyond well done on your loss. What are you doing?

How old is dd? I found waiting till ds1 was older was easier (although I'm
Sure he was ready way before) I started him
At 2yrs 10 and hot it within 4 days.

green how are you getting on?

I weighed myself on Thursday and I'm 10st 7 but I had a bad weekend so I'm prob going to level out when I weigh again at the end of the week.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/10/2016 21:26

JD was a complete and utter disaster, I managed two days before I nosedived in to some crisps. But I started WW yesterday - properly - so I haven't completely lost the run of myself.

I'll join you in losing 10lbs by Christmas Beyond. I seem to yo-yo with the same 4lbs, it's very annoying. Are you still fasting?

Have you any toilet training wisdom for us Rachey? DS1 was trained in a week at 2.4 years, but DS2 is no where near ready and he is nearly 3. All children are different I suppose, I'm not really in a big rush as there is no chance he will do it til he is ready.

Having 2 part time jobs is a bit full on. I work 2 days per week as a childminder - from approx 9.15 am (but sometimes it's 10am) until about 5.30pm (although sometimes it's 7 as they need someone flexible). And then 2 afternoons per week I work in a local after school. It means I'm at home quite a bit and also I get out as well. There is a chance for more hours in the after school in the coming years so I can work more once the kids are a bit more settled.

Greenrabbit · 18/10/2016 22:49

Total failure here. Going to try to drag myself to WW tomorrow (for accountability). I tried to go last week but had a very poorly DD.

I've got a busy day tomorrow.

Beyond I had to bribe DD2 to potty train.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 20/10/2016 09:46

Morning everyone, I hope you are all okay.

I went to WW yesterday (reluctantly). I had a massive (yet expected)shock on the scales. I'm fatter then when I started last yearSad

So last night I started counting how many pounds I should ideally lose (which was depressing). I need to lose at least 50.

So I need to go on some sort of massive lifestyle change I suppose. It's half term next week so I will just make sure we gets lots of walking in and I will follow my WW points properly.
I've almost got the house into some sort of order (where it isn't taking hours to look presentable). So after half term l will have to commit to exercising properly.

Are you doing the Smart points or Pro points Sol?
I'm doing Smart points. Have you looked at the no count list? I might try to do no count on weekdays.

How are you Rachey, sorry to hear that you've been having a bad week. I hope it's getting better for you.

I'm aiming for 10lb for Christmas too Beyond. Well done on your 10lb loss though.
With the potty training I had to commit to a week of going no where. I told DD we wouldn't be leaving the house until she would go on the potty. I had to keep sitting her on it with a bag full of sweets and party bag toys/bubbles. If she sat on she was allowed something out of it. She was so against it she didn't get much from the bag on the first day. On the second day she hid the potty and threw her knickers in the bin.
Then she managed a wee on the potty and it sort of clicked for her. She's still refusing to poo in the toilet though.
It wasn't the approach I thought I'd have to use, but she is incredibly stubborn and the way I used for DD1 wasn't working for her.
But I only did that because she was starting school nursery, I'm not one for pushing things normally.
Oh and she loved watching 'My First -potty' on CBeebies. It might be on the iplayer. Good luck

I survived day one of WW points. My meals are planned and pointed for today. I just have to avoid drinking all of the wine this weekend and it will be fine.

Have a great weekend everyone.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 22/10/2016 22:50

green well done in getting back into ww how is all the meal planning going?

Thanks for asking but my week didn't really get any better. I think I'm only going to be truly happy is when I have found a new job.

sol how is ww going for you as well? Is your dh enjoying it?

beyond* how are you getting on?

I'm back off the diet again. Next weekend I am dc free and the weekend after we are going to centre parcs so I feel that get these next few weeks out the way and focus till Xmas.

I agree with staying at home while training I didn't leave the house with ds1 for 4 days and I got my dsis to baby sit ds2 so ds1 had my undivided attention. I think it really helped.

We have moved dcs in together so I have my bedroom back. (We have a three bedhouse but the third room is too cold? Loft room) I'm desperate to get them bunk beds and new furniture but we are only 11 days in and not sure how it will pan out.

BeyondTheSea · 25/10/2016 11:32

Yay we can be the 10lb club :)

I lost 1lb this week so 9 to go.

Sol your schedule must be crazy. But does this mean you have left the palce where the women were really bitchy? I hope so.

Well done on starting again Green maybe break it down into 10lbs chunks? Hope you are feeling ok. Well done on getting the house sorted and enjoy half term.

Are you looking for a job rachey ? That's sounds realy sweet having both boys in together, there's no way my two would go to sleep.

Thanks for all the potty training advice. She is making progress but it's a bit random, had a massive wee on bathroom floor this morning 5 minutes after saying she didn't need to go ....

We are having day at home today. I don't have the whole week off though.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 25/10/2016 21:24

Hi,

I like the idea of a 10lb club Beyond. How is the toilet training going? Congratulations on the 1 lb loss.

Rachey I'm very jealous of your child free weekend, have you anything nice planned? How long are you going to Center Parcs for?

Green did you manage to avoid all of the wine over the weekend? I hope weightwatchers is going well, I'm doing propoints.

I've lost 5.6lbs in the last 2 weeks and I'm pretty delighted with that. The kids have been very unsettled with their sleep for the last few weeks so I have been extremely sleep deprived. I'm trying to make healthier choices and it seems to be going well, I've also reduced my portions.

I'm working quite a lot so I'm away from food for large portions of the day, which is good. I have next week off for mid terms and I can't wait. I am absolutely exhausted. I think it's about 5 years since I started the first New Mums thread. And I'm still fat - how annoying is that!!!!

Racheyg · 26/10/2016 09:22

10lb club sounds great Smile I have a few things planned this weekend drink and food wise then the weekend after I have center pacrs so I will be back on the diet with vengeance so I can stuff my face at Xmas and put that 10lb back on Grin

Racheyg · 26/10/2016 09:23

sol that's an amazing loss. Sorry your little Ones aren't sleeping. I hate sleep depravation

Oops on underground and will lose signal post again soon

BeyondTheSea · 28/10/2016 20:26

Fab loss Sol It is 5 years and I am pretty much the exact same weight!

Have a great weekend rachey

How was your week Green ?

I did 2 fast days but the other days have been calorie heavy due to half term activities. I;m not optimistic for weight loss next week, so I need to be super focused for the next 2 weeks to try and make up for it.

So I ordered a massive treat and I've decided to get something every time I lose 7lbs (and not the same 7lbs!)

Greenrabbit · 28/10/2016 21:14

That's amazing Beyond. Is it massive? I keep looking at it but can't justify it. I might go for the M&S one again.

Amazing loss Sol. I hope you are getting some sleep now.

Have a great weekend Rachey.

This week has been rubbish. The children have been taking it in turns to vomit everywhere since last Friday. I thought I'd got away with a mild version but have started being sick this afternoon. I'm in bed now.
I didn't even eat well this week.
I'm not liking myself very much at the moment.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 28/10/2016 21:19

On no Green that's miserable. Please don't be hard on yourself. Hope you feel better soon.

Arrived today, it;s about 80cm by 80cm but I haven't taken out of packaging as it would be too tempting. Massively indulgent but I don't buy much for myself really. Might get the M&S one as well Blush Lasts years was fab and really good value for money. I used loads of stuff out of it and passed the rest on to my neice.

BeyondTheSea · 28/10/2016 21:25

Having said that just ordered this top, have a work drinks thing and a school mums evening in the next few weeks.

Greenrabbit · 28/10/2016 21:34

Thanks Beyond. I'm not used to dealing with so much vomit! I had to buy a new duvet. (Thanks children)
I think I'm going have to make some bigger lifestyle changes. Fasting and counting points etc has made my life one giant binge/diet cycle. Not very healthy. I don't want the children to notice.

The Liberty calendar is beautiful. Have you sneeked a look at the contents yet? Some lovely stuff in it.
Your buying nice things plan is good. It's nice to have something to focus on.
I have some M&S vouchers so I won't feel so guilty buying their version. It does look good again. My nieces like getting things passed on too.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 28/10/2016 21:40

Really lovely top. You go out with school mums?! Are you going somewhere nice?
I'm so antisocial, I try to avoid people.
DD2 seems to be one of these popular children so we keep getting random children following us round the park (from the nursery). Then I have to chat to parents (I hate it!).

How is potty training? We didn't make any progress on poos or bedtime nappies this week. They'll do it when they want.

OP posts:
BeyondTheSea · 28/10/2016 21:48

I like to keep my distance as well, I have chatted a few times to two mums who are the mums of DS's friends and they have invited me along to a couple of things. I don't really want to go but don't normally mind when i get there, this will be the 3rd drinks this year so it's not that often. I'm trying no to be too aloof! It's a difficult balance.

It's been frustrating, lots and lots of visits to the toilet with not much action! However, today, she had no accidents.
