I'm glad a few of you have tried the JD diet already! I'll know where to come if I have any questions! 7lbs in 5 days is amazing Rachey! Were you exercising too?

10.4 is great! Nothing like having a baby to give your self esteem a knock, you should be really proud of yourself.

I'm not the best person to knock some sense into you regarding TTC. Wouldn't say we were actively trying in terms of tracking ovulation etc. but would be very pleased should number 2 decide to come along! Would be happy to have a word about the 5am issue though, as long as you return the favour and have a chat with DS about it Grin

Greenrabbit · 25/07/2016 08:13

Hi everyone. Sorry for disappearing, I've been in denial about dieting!
I'm starting again today. I haven't got much of a plan apart from counting calories and doing some sort of workout today.
I hope everyone has a great week. Good luck with the JD.

Racheyg · 25/07/2016 09:06

Morning all,

green how have you been? I think calorie counting and slight exercise is a good plan. I have slowly found out that reducing carbs is the only way I can get weight loss. No matter what plan I follow as soon as complex carbs are added install.

Have you thought about YouTube? They have some good work outs on there. I can recommend a few if interested.

daisy your word must have had a effect as dc's both woke up at 6 this morning. Let me know when your dc needs a chat Grin

How old is your dc? It sounds great that your just taking it easy with ttc. Both my dcs were happy mistakes so I'm a little jealous that I don't get to pee on a stick each month and get that excitement.

I was exercising at the same time as doing the jd. Apart from my 10 days holiday in May I've been exercising 4-5 times a week since September. I haven't noticed much change in my body shape thou. All my fat is still round my middle. I agree thou, I prob need to be a bit more proud of how far I've come. I guess it easier being negative than positive sometimes.

Hope you all have a good day

Greenrabbit · 25/07/2016 10:20

Hi Rachey, I've been okay thanks. I just felt I needed a few days to stop fixating on diets so much. I've been really hating myself for putting weight back on and not being able to lose it quickly.
I tried to cancel my weight watchers pass but when I rang up they gave me a free month so now I'm stuck till the end of September. I'm not sure if I'll go back to meetings, although they are quite good. I just seem to have a developed a terrible habit of stuffing my face after going! (Doesn't help, that it's in a shopping centre!).
You're right about the carbs. I've had egg based breakfast. I'm going to attempt a beginners Body coach workout soon. I'd love some ideas of YouTube workouts please.
DH sorted out the treadmill for me last night. I had planned to go on this morning but didn't get up in time. (It's in the garage so someone needs to watch the children)

I ordered a Fitbit Alta last night (I have a 15% off Boots code if anyone would like it).

I bet you have changed shape loads since September, did you take any pictures and measurements? I find the fact that you are so dedicated to working out very inspiring, I'm really hoping I can get back into the habit of doing the same. You've lots loads of weight too.

I know lots of people having baby number 3. It's tempting still, but I think the age gap would be too big now. Focus on the 5am wake ups after a night of continuous feeding to put yourself off!

Hi everyone. Gained a pound this week unfortunately! Day 1 of the JD diet and I'm not at hungry as I thought I'd be. Providing I manage to resist a snack this evening all will have gone well.

Glad to have you back Green. I agree with, Rachey about the YouTube workouts. I use them quite frequently. What kind workouts are you looking for?

DS is almost 3 months old. Seems crazy to be TTC so soon I know but I'd love to have children close in age and DS took quite some time to conceive so we've decided not to hang around! (I'd almost given up hope until a colleague started peeling an orange and the smell made me quite intensely angry!)

Exercising 4-5 times a week is brilliant! You definitely need to start feeling more proud of yourself. You're putting me to shame Grin

TheMshipIsBack · 26/07/2016 11:06

Good morning! Yes, I'm still trekking about with DD in the sling. Going to the HV clinic this afternoon so will find out just how heavy she is. But I'm still winning, mwahahhaha ... I'm down just over 18lb total now, and she's definitely not that heavy yet.

Still aiming for my first goal of 15st by the time I start back at work late September. Only 9lb to go! My ultimate goal of 12st is still a long ways off, but these smaller steps feel much more achievable.

I am so proud of myself. This is the first time in 17 years that I have made any concerted effort to lose weight, and it's actually working. Committing to it by telling my family and friends has helped immensely.

Racheyg · 26/07/2016 14:10

Afternoon all just a quick one.

Officially off diet for 2 weeks, it's oh bday today and we have just been to the Rolling Stones exhibition and now in a pub Grinmil picking up kids from nursery so we can have a few.

Eating what I want and having alcohol for the next couple of weeks as we are heading to Brighton next week.

Be back later tonight x

Racheyg · 29/07/2016 18:40

Argh I can't stop eating........carbs and all things nice Shock

Greenrabbit · 29/07/2016 19:21

Same here Rachey. I'm on a crisp diet.

Fantastic progress Mship. You should be feeling proud, it's great when it all clicks into place. I hope the baby clinic went well.

How is the JD going Daisy?

How are you doing Sol?

Have a good holiday Beyond

OP posts:
Racheyg · 29/07/2016 21:31

I'm on a seefood diet. I just can't control myself. I defo won't be getting this dress I've been eying up the way things are going.

daisywhoopsie · 01/08/2016 08:02

Morning!

Failed miserably on the JD diet, only lasted till day 3 I was bloody starving. On a more positive note I've lost 2lbs.

You should be proud, Mship. It sounds like you're doing great!

Enjoy your time off* in my hometown Rachey!* I hope the weather stays reasonably nice, there's a lot more to do here when the sun's out.

The crisp diet sounds right up my street, Green! I haven't eaten crisps since I left the hospital with DS. It's never a good idea for me as I find it impossible to stop once I start and I like to eat them between two slices of heavily buttered white bread. Might treat myself this week though!

How have your weeks been Beyond & Sol?

Racheyg · 01/08/2016 17:23

daisy well done on the 2lb loss :)
I love brighton and if i could live anywhere other than London it would be there. We are staying in a nice Air BNB apartment so we dont have to pay the ridiculous parking fees.

Do you still live in Brighton? We go every year for a day or two. I love it

daisywhoopsie · 01/08/2016 22:17

Thanks Rachey!

Still in Brighton, yeah. So don't even get me started on the parking... Haha!

If you really want to cheat diet wise there's a pub just outside Brighton called 'The Green Man' in Ringmer. The last time we went DP ordered the banoffee pie for desert and I'd say there was around 3/4 bananas in it. Portions are MASSIVE, prices are really reasonable and the outside area is lovely!

SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/08/2016 21:27

Hi,

sorry for the absence, I have been really sick. I had some awful virus and ended up with a chest infection, tonsillitis, ear infections and a sinus infection. I was feeling awful, but thankfully on the road to better health.

I have decided that Exante is no longer for me if that's how run down I am after being on it for a while. I was on the low carb thread and I think I'll try that for a while, it's proper food but without the carbs. I went shopping today and bought a few bits for the week and I plan to stick to 50g of carbs per day.

Sorry I haven't caught up on the thread, just thought I'd put up a quick post.

I hope everyone is well.

Greenrabbit · 03/08/2016 14:54

Hi everyone.

Well done on the 2lb Daisy. I really don't recommend the crisp diet, they're off the menu for me from now on. (Although that sandwich sounds good)

Sorry to hear that you haven't been well Sol. I agree about getting run down with Exante. I've had constant Tonsillitus for the last year, every time I'm tired or have a busy week it flares up. I'm not helping myself by not going to the doctors.

I hope the low carb works for you, you did really well on it earlier in the year didn't you?

I braved WW today. I'm disgusted at myself. When I started last year (end of September) I was 14 stone 12lb. Today I was 14stone 10lb. Blush
I hate being this fat, but I can't stop eating rubbish. I can't even get my head round what I'm going to do about this.

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 04/08/2016 19:20

I'm back up to 15 stone green, its so depressing isn't it. I'm going to try and stick to low carb until Christmas and see how I do. I haven't even made it to 50g of carbs and I'm going to have some dinner in a bit, I've barely been hungry all day. That's dreadful about your tonsillitis, is getting them removed an option? You must be in agony, I didn't have it too badly and I thought I was dying.

Will we try and stick to our plans til Christmas?

TheMshipIsBack · 05/08/2016 06:46

Tonsillitis is so painful, I'm sorry to hear you've been suffering sol & green .

Slow and steady is still working here, I'm down another 2 lb since I last posted. 20 lb total and I really think I can get to within touching distance of 15 st in 6 1/2 weeks. It's only 7.5 lb away...

Can't believe I'm going back to work so soon, but I am looking forward to it. DD is incredibly clingy to me. It'll be a wrench to leave her, but it'll be so good for her to bond properly with DH when he's the SAHP till she's one.

Racheyg · 07/08/2016 16:48

Oh dear I think I have eaten and drank myself back up to 11st Shock I don't know the exact number as I'm too scared to weigh myself. I'm back on the bsd tomorrow.

daisy I didn't get the chance to go to that pub, but we are making plans to go back to Brighton with the kids and take them there as it looked very child friendly.

How was ur weekend? Did you go out for gay pride?

mship well done on your 2lb loss. I think your goal sounds very realistic.

sol I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been well. I hope you are on the road to recovery. I hope you are well?

green also sorry to hear that you haven't been well either. How are you otherwise?

beyond how are you? Did you have a good holiday?

Well it was my birthday whole in Brighton and my boyfriend of nearly 7 years, 2 children and a house down the line has proposed. I was very shocked. We are in no rush to get married thinking maybe late 2018. So I really have to focus get my arse in gear to get the body I want for my wedding.

Greenrabbit · 07/08/2016 18:11

Congratulations Rachey. I love wedding chat, you'll have to tell us your plans (when you know them). Sounds like you've had a great week. Happy Birthday too.

I'll try to post later. Trying to clean up and get the children ready for bed.

OP posts:
daisywhoopsie · 07/08/2016 22:17

Just a quick one to say a massive congratulations, Rachey! Grin

I'll be back in the morning, hope you're all doing great.

Greenrabbit · 08/08/2016 14:26

How is everyone doing?

Well done Mship 20lb is amazing. Your target sounds very achievable. How old will your baby be when you go back to work? I remember finding the stage before they crawl quite frustrating as they liked to be carried all the time.
Although I never loved my job in the last few years I did enjoy going back as I felt like myself again. It was nice to feel 'normal' for a few hours every day!

I've had quite a good week after my moan on Wednesday. I've decided to try fasting again. I'm aiming for two 500 calorie fasts per week and a mini one less than 1000. I'm going to keep a close eye on calories during the other days.
I'm aiming to get 21 lb off by Christmas. (More would be great but I'm going for a slow approach)
I've been trying to get to bed earlier too. I have been quite run down and staying up late hasn't been helping much. As I said I think that's been contributing to the tonsillitis. I will go the doctors if it flares up again though.

I also managed to go on my treadmill at the weekend.

Oh and I've decided that I can only have alcohol at home on a Saturday.

OP posts:
Racheyg · 08/08/2016 18:01

green 21lb is very realistic before Xmas. Wow you have a treadmill?!? Do you do the high speed high incline? I see some people at the gym that look like they are scaling a mountain the height they go.

Thanks daisy and green I'm still in shock. I'm a planner so have been phoning a few places and the prices are crazy I have no idea how we are going to be able to save for this?!? My dream would be to bugger off to Las Vegas but my mum and dad hate flying Sad

Racheyg · 08/08/2016 18:02

Started back on the bsd today. I really have to knuckle down now. As I want to change my body shape if at all possible.

Greenrabbit · 08/08/2016 21:34

The treadmill is very under used Rachey. It does have a steep incline but I didn't attempt anything exciting at the weekend. I just want to do more walking (especially walking that isn't at toddler pace).

What type of wedding were you thinking of? It's a shame about your parents (although when I went to Vegas I thought lots of the newly married couples looked pretty miserable!)

It's worth doing lots of research. I found prices in different venues varied greatly when I got married. We ended up having our reception in a University owned building. They hired it out for functions during holidays. It was reasonably priced and the bar was student prices! Plus it was a historic building so looked great. It really wasn't any different to many of the hotel type venues we'd been to.

How has the BSD gone today? I've done a FD. I'm not feeling too hungry, but it does seem to make me feel tired.

daisywhoopsie · 08/08/2016 21:56

Evening all, hope you're all well?

No weigh in for me this week. Diet/exercise has gone to pot. DP has an unidentified lump in his shoulder. We are now waiting for a referral to find out if it's cancerous or not. Hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.

I've eaten everything in sight, started smoking again and bitten all my nails off.

Hoping to be back soon with a far more positive post.
