I have yoyoed with the same stone since the beginning of last year. Getting fed up now but need some motivation to stick with it. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so near yet so far!

Will be weighing in tomorrow and posting all food eaten. Feel free to join me!

Ah I see, I mostly power walked with the pushchair when mine were small. I did attempt yoga a few times but the children always saw it as an invitation to climb on me.

CBeebies is your friend😄 I should have used that more!

Twinklestar2 · 02/03/2016 11:38

Well done milly!!

Perhaps I should make a chart too . I feel more motivated to exercise as the weather is a bit better.

Want to spend this summer looking and feeling good, with the aim to maybe try for baby number 2 - and get fat again - at the end of the year....

I have a chart...it has stickers and everything.😊

God everyone is doing loads of exercise!

I am doing none really, well, a 20 minute walk to work, I try and use the stairs lots and then chase around after DS for an hour at night. Looking forward to Spring when I can get my bike out and go for a bike ride in the evenings.

I used to do spinning but I don't get home from work till 5, 2 hours with DS then all I want to do is pass out on the sofa, I'm too knackered!

Food hasn't been too bad, been having cottage cheese, apple sauce and a sprinkle of granola for brekkie at 6:30am and then Melba toast, hard boiled egg and an avocado mid morning. Unless I eat a full English I cannot do breakfast till lunch without something.

Me and DH have the extremely rare chance of a babysitter tonight so we are going out for dinner and drinks. Will stick to only a couple of glasses of wine and obviously something remotely healthy from the menu/small portion.

hinkyhonk · 02/03/2016 15:54

milly you shamed me into shredding to the sound of tractor Texans DS3 wobbles at the end. Still at least it is done.

NewYearNewNickname · 02/03/2016 18:52

I don't feel I've been that good today. Mfp is set to 1200 and I only have 220 left and been as I have had a crazy day and am off work tomorrow I would really like a glass of wine this eve. Only problem is wine and dinner come to more than 220 cals!!!

How many calories do you think the Shred uses? I don't have the dvd but think it may be available on YouTube.

oldlaundbooth have a lovely time this eve, don't think about calories and just enjoy it, some things are more important!

I resisted the wine and came in on target yesterday so feeling pretty chuffed with myself this morning. Have lots of exercise planned for my day off today. I find that it is the only way to be able to have days where I don't count but can still lose over the week. This weekend we are going to a friend's for dinner on Sat eve and are out for lunch on Sunday so need lots of exercise to counter balance that Smile
Happy Thursday everyone Smile

oldlaundbooth · 03/03/2016 16:24

So last night was a big, fat FAIL in terms of food and alcohol!

Had a glass of wine before leaving the house, shared a bottle of red with DH and had 2 G&T's Hmm

Had this weird seafood barley risotto (it sounded better on the menu, honestly) which was a small portion so most of the cals were from vino

Had a good time though, felt rough at 6:30 am this morning!

Lunch yesterday was supposed to just be soup and a simple sandwich but the really hot chef made for me especially a portion of sweet potato fries (my fave) and a huge ham and Brie sandwich! I couldn't exactly refuse it, could I? It was really good.

Just read this post back and I really am not doing too well with my low carb diet. Must try harder.

hinkyhonk · 03/03/2016 18:56

Tomorrow is another day old. I'd kill for a g&t right now!

I've been fairly good today with jerk chicken soup for lunch and I managed to shred in the kitchen while the big two were eating tea and entertaining the wee one by providing a running commentary on how rough I felt whilst doing it. Plus had a day generally running around after the little chaps so hit my step target as well. Omelette for dinner and that is me done for the day. Onwards!

twobambinos · 04/03/2016 08:53

Fell off the wagon for a few weeks.
Back on it now today. Really need to cop on. Really really need to get a handle on my eating. Exercise is good I do a fair amount of it.

Well done to all the losers.

fadingblonde1 · 04/03/2016 09:48

Got weighed today and still 7.8.6, to be honest I thought I might have gained as I've had a few days where I've gone well over my target. The scales are saying my body fat has gone down but I have no faith in that - I really can't see how the scales could possibly tell!

LizardBreath · 04/03/2016 10:02

Hello! Can I join too please, I also have been up and down with the same stone over last year. Currently 10'6 and ideal weight is prob 9'9. My nice clothes don't fit and I refuse to buy more so got to do something!

I'm a big exercise fan but gyms here but great and work hours have changed and that has been my downfall!

Moore4 · 04/03/2016 14:37

Thanks ladies for the welcome! I do a weekly shop online, though pop in for milk etc etc, and the odd treat!! I was joking about sweet section. I've been walking lots the last few days, and have lost a couple of pounds! I've got a bit more than a stone to lose! Though with 2 weddings in the summer I'm taking it slowly. Lots of walking this week, drinking plenty of water and am planning on replacing cows milk with almond milk. Plus someone mentioned eating eggs for breakfast. Onwards and upwardsSmile

Twinklestar2 · 04/03/2016 15:40

Welcome newbies!

Lizard - we can be diet buddies as we weigh around the same and have the same target. I've been looking at old pics of myself from when I got married, I was around 9st 10 and looked good. I can't believe I was once 8st 10 - that seems so unachievable! to be fair, I did get told I looked too thin and like a heroin addict.... I look best around 9st 4.

Anyway, I digress! Spent all last night wanting chocolate and resisting! Go me! But then today went for fish and chips in the café with my colleague so exercise this weekend is needed!!

I have zero willpower when someone offers me food!

Thanks twinkle. Meal out and cocktails last night, and lunch out today. My problem is when eating out I can't get out of 'treat' mode so go a bit mad!

Aiming for run tomorrow am, really need to get back on exercise big time.

AuntieStella · 06/03/2016 09:50

Dropping in to say I have lost another lb!

Given how hostile other parts of MN are this morning to ingratitude on Mothering Sunday, can I say here that I am on all important levels thrilled that DC got me a box of chocolates. But also confess that the first thing I did was check the label, and if I scoffed the whole box it's just over 1,800 calories.

Moore4 · 06/03/2016 16:10

Weekly weigh in, I've lost 3lbs! Mothers Day treats aside, all is going well on the healthy eating front. I hope you're all having a Happy Mothers Day!

Imstickingwiththisone · 06/03/2016 16:20

Hello everyone can I join you? I'm sorry but I've not read the full thread because diet talk is boring unless you're actively involved Grin I'm 9stone 5lbs and I guess this is my natural weight as it doesn't change regardless of how much or little I eat. My build would probably suit me being a stone lighter though. Yday I was on day 5 of 30 day shred but that went out the window today Blush hoping to start healthy eating tomorrow

Twinklestar2 · 06/03/2016 18:52

Well done Moore and Stella!

Hi, can I join this thread? I want to lose a stone. I weighed myself on Friday and was shocked to see that I weigh 10 stone 10. No wonder none of my clothes fit me any longer.
I have the choice between losing about a stone or having to go out and buy an entire new wardrobe.

I was doing a lot of exercise last year until about August (running, playing badminton and going to the gym), when I broke some bones in my foot and was put out of action, and I have put on most of the weight since then. At the same time my mother went into hospital after a bad fall, and my daughter had problems at school, so a lot of stress.

My mum is now better, my daughter is happier again, and my foot has healed, so no excuse now!

My plan is to do more exercise and try to eat a bit less and more healthily.

Twinklestar2 · 07/03/2016 08:28

Welcome butterfly! I'm the same as you - need to lose a good stone to fit comfortably back into most of my wardrobe.

I gained a pound so 10st 8. It could've been more as I had a 3 course meal yesterday for lunch (but then didn't have dinner) and I was away for the weekend.

Off work with a poorly dc and have eaten a piece of toast, crumpet with half a block of butter and 2 packets of quavers.... Will start tomorrow.

Moore4 · 07/03/2016 12:46

After yesterday's shenanigans and feeling beyond bloated... Too many chocs and an eclair that was bought from a farmers market and left me feeling awful! Roll on Monday - no milk this week, I've been toying with the idea of replacing milk with almond milk - here goes!!
