I have yoyoed with the same stone since the beginning of last year. Getting fed up now but need some motivation to stick with it. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm so near yet so far!

Will be weighing in tomorrow and posting all food eaten. Feel free to join me!

Cottage pie and cabbage sounds divine! And very nutritious.

Glad I'm not sharing a bed with you, mind.

readyforsunshine · 21/03/2016 06:51

Not surprised to be up 3/4 lb on last week, may try very hard for a good day & re weigh tomorrow, don't know about you auntiestella but I could do with a boost to set me on track before, wait for it...... EASTER Shock

AuntieStella · 21/03/2016 07:07

Just don't, readyforsunshine don't!

School holidays are always a pitfall, different daily routine and eating patterns, and on my (old fashioned, on paper) target graph of weight loss, I always flat line them rather then expecting to lose.

Having plateau-ed twice now, I'm several lb behind that graph. I had been hoping to get level with it by this hols. Don't think that's possible now (short of food poisoning, and I'm not that desperate)

(PS I had cottage pie last night too, but with peas and green beans)

Higge · 21/03/2016 07:55

Looks like I've gained - not surprising, had dinner party on Saturday night over-ate all day and more besides. But I'm back on it this week, 2 meals a day - no snacks and won't drink this weekend at all, as I'm visiting my parents - there will be an abundance of cakes though.
100kcal snacks - parma ham wrapped around a slice of jarlsberg, quick and satisfying.

Bovnydazzlers · 21/03/2016 08:04

Liking the snack suggestions! You all seem to do well with savoury snacks, mine tend to be sweet, curse this sweet tooth!

I've gained half a pound today but assuming it's bloat as had good day yesterday, I did 30 DS and a little cycle ride and didn't eat back exercise calories. 5 pounds down since 28th Feb, 10 pound to go!

Twinklestar2 · 21/03/2016 09:12

I surprisingly lost another pound - so I'm counting my official weigh in as 10st 7.

DREADING EASTER!!

Bovny - I have a sweet tooth too, I fear a snack on sugar is sure to become a large feast!

fadingblonde1 · 21/03/2016 09:38

I've lost a pound which I'm amazed by after my chocolate binge the other day! I have been quite busy with work so I've probably been more active than usual throughout the day. I need to try really hard now with Easter coming up - realistically I know I will eat an Easter egg!

Twinklestar2 · 21/03/2016 18:25

It was only this thread that stopped me eating another bag of Hula Hoops!

Beef hotpot for dinner, yum!

Twinklestar2 · 21/03/2016 18:27

Well done fading!

Low cal sweet snacks:
Light choc mouse
Curly wurlys
cadburys animal bars

All around 100 Cals

Well, I decided that as it all seemed to be going wrong, I may as well have the monthly pizza today!

Actually, it's only the second this year, and the first since I started using MFP. But I have no idea how to score it on MFP, as it's from an independent, and looking at branded ones with similar toppings, it can be anywhere from 900-160o calories. I've also hit the cava (that's easier to to count!)

readyforsunshine · 21/03/2016 19:06

Good to see some losses twinkle & fading, hope I haven't missed anybody Smile
Have had a terrible day, eaten a whole small loaf! Told you I have no restraintGrin I slept really badly, probably due to the wine on an empty stomach, so was so desperate I actually went & bought a loafHmm
I know that I won't lose if I'm not really strict but I can maintain if I stay mainly on track. I really must have a good few days before Easter, which will be a couple of days of family meals & be content with hopefully not ending up back where I started before hitting it hard again. Although as you say auntie Stella the school hols are a killer.
Hope you're feeling better anothermadam

RibinaPet · 23/03/2016 00:14

Hi all, been meaning to post for a few days... Haven't lost any weight in two weeks! Haven't put any on either, so that is something. Just upped my MFP goal this week, so I'm now on 1300 calories a day. I made a change to my breakfast - porridge only now. And I've switched to semi-skimmed milk after a lifetime of full fat milk. That alone seems to be keeping me within 1300 calls, well today and yesterday at least.

I'm going to visit family over Easter, so will lose all control over my meals and exercise regime. So may not lose any at all before the wedding.

Higge · 23/03/2016 06:34

Back on low carbish and thankfully back down to my lower weight this morning- had an amazing burger last night, wrapped in Iceberg lettuce - a bit messy but definitely not second rate.

Twinklestar2 · 23/03/2016 08:20

This thread was the only thing that stopped me eating the Easter egg we brought for MIL last night!

Have had 2 good days in control. Let's make it 3 Smile

The beasts break up tomorrow.

I'd been hoping for a couple of good days to get back on track before that, but it didn't happen. Not outrageously over (though again an item that needed estimating), indeed under my old MFP limit of 1410. But I weighed myself again this morning and it's another lb up.

I thought I'd be at my tier 1 target by now (as only 1lb off it 10 days ago) but instead I'm now 4lbs away.

LesAnya · 23/03/2016 15:54

Bit late to the party but as I've just discovers none of my nice summer clothes fit Sad can I join too?

No idea how much I weigh daren't look at the scales but I can hunt down a tape measure later

readyforsunshine · 23/03/2016 16:23

Hi anya Smile
Stella, I'm right with you, lost 4 1/2 lb, gained back 2Sad & prob not going to claw any more back before Easter feasting, however, I'm still 2 1/2 lb down so hopefully I'll finish Easter in a better position than if I'd not lost anything the past few weeks, hopeful?!? The plan is to not deny myself anything, but try not to eat too much of what I do have. & do some exercise. We'll see how that goes...
Good luck to everybody else & have a lovely w/e

AuntieStella · 23/03/2016 20:48

Whining here helps enormously. I've been weighing myself much more often than I usually do, as if sheer force of mind (or sneaking up on them unawares) will force the reading down.

But I've been very careful today and MFP entries are accurate (give or take the density of marmite) and still 200 calories unused. So I've not surrendered yet!

anothermadamebutterfly · 25/03/2016 10:32

Hi everybody! I have lost 2 lbs since last weekend. Which is great. Not the best ever method though, as this was the result of spending the first half of the week with a horrible cold, earache, sore throat, no sense of taste. Second half spent trying to catch up on all the stuff that should have been done in the first half, and still feeling pretty grim and exhausted today and slightly dreading the holidays Sad.

Anyway, I am sure things will look better in a few days. I am not worried about Easter feasting as we do not do Easter, but I find the holidays difficult for trying to diet and exercise in general. Although I have been considering trying to take the kids jogging with me (but they are much sportier than me, so I will be humiliated!).

Well done everybody who has been hanging on in there, and enjoy the Easter break and if you fall off the bandwagon, then just remember to get back on again as soon as possible!

Bovnydazzlers · 25/03/2016 13:45

another 2lb loss is brilliant! Sorry it was achieved by feeling ill though!

I've told my DH I do not want an egg this year (I'm sure I may help my DS eat some of his though...)

I've lost a pound this week so total weight loss 6lb (9 stone 3 start, 8 stone 2 is my goal). I'm weary it will be the last half that is the hardest!

I've just brought the attached chocolate taster kit, a bit counter intuitive for weight loss but I'm allowing myself one a day (85 calories) to satisfy my chocolate cravings!

I'm trying to do a Jillian Michaels workout most days, I got bored doing shred every day so been doing some body revolution too.

Bovnydazzlers · 25/03/2016 13:48

Anyone out there need to lose a stone?
NickiFury · 27/03/2016 08:37

Hello all, could I join you please? Smile

Have a stone to lose and really struggling, it comes off so slowl that I just feel disheartened and think "oh well this biscuit won't hurt" and obviously it really does. I have an event coming up in six weeks and would love to be lighter for it just to feel confident in my clothes and not dumpy and uncomfortable.

Floppityflop · 27/03/2016 10:16

Lurker here. I want to lose a stone before I can eat the Lindor egg DH gave me. DH says I will look too thin but my doctor disagrees. I know it's not fashionable but it's high fibre and low fat for me too, as I've been advised to cut out fat as much as I can. I already have skimmed milk in tea and no spread on anything or cheese or oil in cooking, so hard to see what else to cut apart from quantity and crisps! I'm 9st12 and 5ft4.5. I need to lose a stone to get back to the weight on my medical records from ten years ago.

AuntieStella · 27/03/2016 18:48

I was given a Lindor egg. I reckon if I ate it and its mini-eggs, I'd be looking at the 1,400 calorie mark (I've not weighed the constituent parts, and it lists big egg and mini eggs separately).

And according to MFP, I have only 522 calories left today.

(I think I might solve this issue by having a gin instead)
