I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

Sounds like a good plan mini, I e got a few meals out over the next few months and I'll do the same, otherwise we'd all be hermits for the duration of the diet :)

Lovemylittlebears · 12/03/2016 16:02

Hey guys, please can I join in? Started 5 days ago with three stone to lose after having baby number two and getting married in July (dress doesn't fit at all;(). Anyone any tips or positive stories on weight loss so far? Also when do you get to move from sole source plus up to the next level to REAL FOOD lol? Xxx

MiniCooperLover · 12/03/2016 17:06

I had a Tricolore Salad and sparkling water but also one small slice of DS's pizza as he wasn't hungry. He vomited all over me on way home so that'd be why. I may need a glass of wine and it hasn't even been a week ...

plumstone · 12/03/2016 17:48

Hi all, spent till about 2pm in town shopping, before I went had eggs omelette style, then halfway through a bar, and got home so hungry I could eat a horse then the jockey! Wolfed one of the cookies down, now have taken to my bed wondering I'd I can survive the rest of the day on freckling sparkling water! It may be an early night, so close to cracking and calling a take away, but my beautiful new jeans and top are preventing me, who knew slimming by vanity was a thing!

Welcome Littlebears, despite being a cranky plum at the mo, I am usually very sparkly positive one. I like you have three stone to loose, started at 12.7 on Feb 1, am now 11.2, your dress will fit no problem by July, am on SS till end April, will then keep with the packs, but add in things like berries to porridge, salad to the spag Bol, and soups and some extra protein. I am not really thinking about it for another stone, will just keep plodding on!

Xx

Lovemylittlebears · 12/03/2016 18:32

Thank you :) I'm sure the early night will help! I've loads to lose really but saying three till wedding to make it realistic. 14.5 at the moment but was 13 at 12 weeks pregnant when I ordered my dress so figured as she ordered one size smaller if I get down to about 12 hopefully it will fit and I won't be in such a rush to get the rest off and can do that a bit more gradually. Hope everyone having a nice evening xx

MiniCooperLover · 12/03/2016 18:43

NickNaks, how are you getting on?

WalkWaddleRun · 13/03/2016 07:40

Hello everyone,

I am considering starting exante and have just read your thread. I have tried most diets and have failed miserably. I wonder whether I need to stop eating completely for a while and see big losses to be motivated. Right now I keep gaining and losing the same couple of pounds :(

I am a teacher though and worried I will struggle at work somehow. Can't be tired or grumpy there really and there is always food in the staff room.

I am getting married in summer and would love to see a difference till then. I cried yesterday at the thought of being this big for my wedding day

PayAttentionNigel · 13/03/2016 08:28

Hi littlebears! I've got a bit more to loose than you but am hoping to be through the worst of it by the end f June so you could def loose the weight in time for your wedding, congratulations by the way! Very exciting :)
my tip would be to just think that 3/4 months is such a small amount of time really out of your whole life (this is what I keep telling myself when I want chocolate)

Hi to Walk as well! It is hard when you start the diet, I got quite angry last week a few times as I just wanted to stuff myself, not hunger either, just habit. Have you thought about stating just after Easter? It's school hols then isn't it? I reckon you might find it easier, then you'll have two weeks done and be in the swing of things for going back to work? I'm been feeling much better the last couple of days, I started last Sunday.

Afm, weighed myself and down to 12.11 so a bit disappointed I'm not one of those ones that lost loads their first week but on the positive side I'm 4lbs lighter than I was last week and three more weeks like this I'll have lost a stone! Onto week two.

WalkWaddleRun · 13/03/2016 08:43

Hi pay, thank you for your advice. I have considered waiting till Easter. However I feel in a good place right now and am worried to leave it another couple of weeks somehow.

Also going to a spa in a few weeks time and would be nice to have lost a few pounds till then.

Wedding is in august so till then I need to look amazing ;)

I usually have no will power so am a bit worried about not eating at all

NickNacks · 13/03/2016 09:02

I'm still here.

I've been strugglingfor about two weeks and last weekend I had a three course Mother's Day meal. It meant I only lost 0.4lb this week on the up side it means my motivation has increased this week, it's embarrassing getting weighed and not losing much so I want to show her I can do it. Not to mention the waste of money!

I'm down to 14.7 now (started at 16.9) and would like to see the 12 stone something on the scales when I go on holiday in May half term. I know that's still heavy by some people's standards but it will be nearly 4 stone down for me in less than 5 months which I'm pleased with.

Hello all, I'm still here, struggling on. You fell off my watched threads so I'm just marking my place again.

PayAttentionNigel · 13/03/2016 10:21

I know what you mean Walk once you feel like you can do it you've just got to go for it. Start as soon as you can then and come on here to rant if you need support/to let off steam during if you find it hard at work the first few days :)

Thanks for starting the thread NicNacks!

browneyedgirl1974 · 13/03/2016 14:20

Welcome walk and love. Had a challenging day yesterday but stuck to plan. Getting lots of comments on my weight loss which is fab. In reality I would like to lose 5 stone overall. So I am in it for the long haul. Only have an accurate weigh in end of week I so 5th Feb of 13 13. Currently 12 10 . The best bit though is that I have discovered control by taking food out of the equation.
Before I would be good all day and spoil it in the evening. Than I would give up and keep on eating.

browneyedgirl1974 · 13/03/2016 14:21

Fab nicknaks

MiniCooperLover · 13/03/2016 17:56

Well done NickNaks, it all counts and it's all going in the right direction !!! Weigh in day is Thursday for me so today is Day4 for me. Y'day and today I've eaten with DH and DS, but have made sure it's v low calorie food. Back on track tomorrow. I can see me doing 5 days full and 2 days less so, hopefully it'll still work for me but harder at weekends when they're both here. I've had a bar in the mornings and my 4L of water, but healthy lunch and dinner. Hopefully that'll be OK.

plumstone · 14/03/2016 09:35

Morning all -its the start of brand new sparkly week!! The weekend was good - in that I cleared out my wardrobe and spent the morning (was awake from 5am - no idea why) trying on clothes and merging in the new purchases!! I now have 15 outfits that I fit, suit and can wear in the office. Everything else including my "fat dress" has been binned.

Rediscovered properly fitting boot cut jeans - they may not be the hight of fashion - but oh boy do they make me look better that my skinnies which make my legs look like carrots!!

Spent the rest of the day in bed - totally knackered from being up to early. However this morning, got up and managed to get dressed in about 5 mins flat - so nice to have everything in my wardrobe that flatters.

Mini - with regard to doing a couple of days "less so" I am with you, adding in a salad to the spag bol, blueberries with the porridge and some chicken in to the curry pack. Just makes it seam a bit more normal!!!!

Have a good one y'all!!

Lovemylittlebears · 14/03/2016 11:27

Hi all

Thanks for the warm welcomes. It sounds like you are all doing really well :) can't wait to fit into clothes properly ( been bobbing in and out of maternity things and Jeggins for the past three years). When do you get to much up the stages is that at a certain bmi or weight loss amount does anyone know? Xx

plumstone · 14/03/2016 11:47

Hi little bears, Because I am slightly OCD about life, I decided to follow the main plan ( 3 packs a day) for 12 weeks. After I do three weeks, for the fourth I add in an extra 200 calories ( I am lazy so it is just an extra pack) then back on the 3 per day for another 3.

My goal is 3 stone which will take me to 9.7 stone, however I will reassess at 10stone, being quite tall 9.7 may not be a good look.

My plan for maintenance will be one of two things:

5:2 and use three packs for each fast day

or

keep with the three packs per day, but add things like salad to spag bol, half a sandwich to the soup, berries to the porridge. I am not thinking about it till a am closer to 10 than 11 (currently 11.2). I am halfway through and have lost 19 pounds so pretty much on track. Now I am on holiday for a week at Easter, so am aiming to get to 10.10 before I go and will be happy if I come back at 11. The key for me has been taking food out the equation and then plan plan plan

Superwitchy · 14/03/2016 15:50

Hello everyone, please may I join you? I'm going to start tomorrow, will be doing Exante three packs a day. We've a week in France from 25th March so that's going to be a challenge! But I'm best starting now while I'm feeling keen iyswim. Does anyone ever mix plans, eg Cambridge with Exante? I have some of both already!

browneyedgirl1974 · 14/03/2016 16:42

Welcome super we are going to Disneyland Paris at the end of March staying Half Board so I am going to have to go easy.
plum I need to sort my wardrobe too. At the moment I am still wearing my size 20 clothes. (With belts and tight drawstrings) Fortunately I have some old clothes to wear in the interim. Not going to buy anything until I lose more. Than I will shop shop shop.
love I am a few days ahead of plum. By the end of my 12 weeks I will still have about 2 stone to lose. I will take a month off with low calorie 5 days and 2 days meal replacement and after a month maybe do another month of the strict regime. Than 5 2 until I hit 9 stone which will be middle of my healthy weight range.

Lovemylittlebears · 14/03/2016 18:40

Wow I'm loving the super organisation and I love a good plan. 14.4 today at weigh in which is good. That's 5 pounds loss by my scales and 8 pounds loss by consultant scales (weigh the same on both now funnily enough lol). I think mentally I need to know when I will come off it or tone it down. Think will do it till 13 stone and then do perhaps one of the higher up steps with more real food until 12 stone and then healthy eating plus using it as the 5:2 till I'm 11.5 stone. I think I look ok at this weight and for me it's a weight I can maintain and still join friends on the odd meal out or eat a piece of cake with daughter lol. Hope everyone has a good evening xx

WalkWaddleRun · 15/03/2016 06:10

First day, wish me luck. It arrived at work yesterday and I managed to get it before lots of people asked questions. Not ready to tell anyone besides dp yet in case I fail Blush

NickNacks · 15/03/2016 06:15

Good luck walk you'll be ace! It's mind over matter, promise yourself you'll do at least a week and your mindset will be completely different when you see it does work.
