I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

Hi all.

Weekend has been virtuous! Had the cheese and bacon eggs for breakfast yesterday - not bad, cooked it omelette style, Have also had the sausages and the burgers, interesting, and they taste better than they look. Also when my next four week packs arrived I got 7 free lemon and yogurt bars, lovely! Have had as a snack/pudding today and yesterday.

Will weigh in on Tuesday and really looking forward to see what the scales say. Xoxo

browneyedgirl1974 · 21/02/2016 23:41

Hi. Have been adjusting to adding some real food. It has been ok. Had 1/2 a sirloin steak on Saturday but had a tummy ache afterwards.
Purchased new scales. Sadly it would seem my scales have been underweighing even more than I thought. Weigh 13 8 oh new scales.. 13 on my old scales and 13 4 at gym. Means I lost about 2 lb in last 7 days. 9lbs since end week 1. May have to wait a bit longer for op

plum I quite like sausage mix too but stil have burgers to try.

browneyedgirl1974 · 21/02/2016 23:44

did 40 minutes on the treadmill today and swam 32 lengths. need to up my game as I have upped calories this week.

plumstone · 23/02/2016 09:22

Morning all, 2 lbs off this morning, so thats 12 off since the 1st Feb. Really pleased as its TOM this week, and based on previous diets never loose during that week, so this is a first. Had to go to bed stupidly early last night, as had dinner: at 4:30pm got home from work and was a bit "hmmm what can I eat" went for a shower and bed option as I knew I was weighing in today! May have to have a cheeky weigh in on Friday as I have a couple of "stone off celebration gifts to me" that I really want to get at the weekend, and to have a stone off in a month would be fab!!!!

Loving it all so far, spag bol for lunch yesterday - it was good. Also feeling great, so either I am so far into a starvation haze I cannot see straight, or I am on a bit of a "high" with all the feeling lighter and not having to stress about what food to eat.

Also - has anyone had any negative reaction to loosing weight? I had a couple of comments yesterday, from people I hadn't seen since Christmas, they both looked me up and down and said " oh so you decided to loose weight, well if you think thats the right thing" was a bit Hmm but just said yes I feel great thanks for noticing and changed the subject, did catch them looking at me oddly throughout the conversation. Am a bit nervous as I am seeing family for Easter and am aiming for another stone off for that!!

Anywho - have a great week xx

browneyedgirl1974 · 23/02/2016 12:43

Well I had a blip yesterday. Came down with a cold and I ended up eating far more real food than I should have (lots of carbs too) . Just felt so run down and tired. No change on scales though this morning do no harm done. Going to forego my real food today to make up for it.
No bad reactions from people so far. Not even sure anyone has really noticed. Lovely idea about the stone thing. I will have to count from end week one though as my orinal scales are hopeless. So about 4lbs to go. plum they may be jealous.
Going out for a 2 course meal on Sunday so that wull be a day off.

browneyedgirl1974 · 23/02/2016 12:44

Great loss btw plum

plumstone · 23/02/2016 12:47

thank you mutchley!!! Possibly jealous, but I just thought it was an odd thing to say!! Have a lovely day off and meal out - I am counting down to Good Friday - not the chocolate, but roast lamb and veggies and loads of mint sauce - may have to stock up on Gaviscon - but cannot wait!!! xx

nickdrakeslovechild · 23/02/2016 15:10

Glad everyone is still here, had a bad couple of weeks motivation wise, as upping the food put on a few pounds which 2 weeks later is off again (phew!) so from 7th Jan to today I have lost 22lbs in total. Another 20 to go.

I have 2 weeks holiday from the weekend, then a few celebration things happening so going to be good (low carb) and not go mad, but I am going off plan until 15th March. I dont want to undo the hard work as any I put on is more to lose when I get back!

questions2008 · 24/02/2016 10:08

great work on the loss plum, and well done nick for battling through the disappointment of gaining, browneyed it's so hard when you are ill to not eat comfort carbs!

I'm still here, and this week has been much easier than the first, I don't have that gnawing feeling of I'm going to give up any minute now following me around! Weigh in today puts me 10.6 lbs down in total in just under 2 weeks. Which is great, I'm now back around the weight I was when I started low carbing over 1.5yr ago, so my next target is to get down to the 73kg I managed last time. The dream is to go as low as 60-65kg, but trying not to get ahead of myself!

Luckily (or not?! Grin) I don't have much of a social life to contend with! (Single mum with full time job and run a little business from home too).

plumstone · 24/02/2016 10:34

HI Question, I think it is lucky - I have deliberately done this in Feb and March as I am really quiet social wise. Always am in Feb, odd!! Anywho this year decided to put it to good use, by kick starting the weight loss, and start a bullet journal - whole other thread and obsession, however good for tracking water consumption, noting what packs I eat and when, and listing my congratulations to me losing weight present wish list - its getting worryingly high!!!! have also done massive of clearing out and de cluttering. Summer will see a super efficient and thin Plum!!! Smile

Next thing is a family lunch mid March and then Family dinner on Good Friday - Easter is not a problem any year, not just this, as I am not mad keen on chocolate - now if they did Brie eggs I would be in big trouble, in fact a crisp water biscuit shell and a smooth melting brie centre - I think there is market Grin Grin

Also have decided not to log my weight on a Tuesday but on a Friday - think it will keep me motivated over a Sat and Sunday, so have deleted Tuesday's loss off the spreadsheet and will enter on Friday morning.
Have a great day xoxo

browneyedgirl1974 · 24/02/2016 21:39

Thanks plum and question. Today was a better day although I did end up eating the leftovers from a kinder joy egg but apart from thst only had chicken and 3 usual meals so not bad really as this is my real food week.
Really starting yo worry about meal now?
Do I have a starter which will involve bread or a desert which will be sugary.
Thinking I may have soup but leave bread but one of the deserts sounds yummy.
Going to have to go easy on the spuds too.

plumstone · 25/02/2016 12:07

Hi Brown, I have failed miserably on my real food which should be this week, super busy at work, and despite good intentions, have had my extra 200 calories in a Exante Lemon bar as a "supper" but crap but with work the way it is - the less I stress with other things the easier it will be. Next week will also be mental, but I am finding this WOE almost relaxing as its just "pick a Pack, consume, get on with life"

I am away for a week for Easter, and have decided to have the eggs every morning omelette style, but add in some mushrooms and cherry toms - then one of the meals with loads of salad and then a low carb little portioned dinner.

Also and this is so sad - I have an appointment with an alterations place on Saturday to get two pairs of trousers and a blouse altered, also my beautiful white shirt I thought was going to need a button on the boobage area to stop gaping no longer requires it!!!! bit of a NSV so quite chuffed.

Weighing in tomorrow and really hoping for 11.7 as that will be a stone off in Feb which I will be delighted with.

have a great day!

questions2008 · 25/02/2016 12:29

plum i agree, it's easier to just eat the pack and move on rather than worry about what, how much etc...good luck with weigh in tomorrow and NSVs sounds fab.

brown I'd skip the bread and dessert - sounds yummy but will still sound yummy after you've got to your target weight! This is what I keep repeating to myself, when I see or smell food that I think ooh but that looks yummy - it will still be around in 3-4 months down the line! Grin

Suzysnoozy · 25/02/2016 15:52

I've been doing cambridge for 3 weeks, great results but due to various reasons I've decided to switch to exante, looking at the products it says to have 3 a day, I'm used to eating 4, what are people's thoughts to eating 4 exante a day?

plumstone · 25/02/2016 16:05

HI Suzy - I have done Exante since 1st Feb, three packs a day and 3 to four litres of water (have upped that in the last week to combat TOM) and a couple of black coffees.

The first week was hard - not going to lie - but its fine I am not into snacking or eating in the evening, just big portions three times a day - hence the problem, I have done that for three weeks and on the fourth am meant to add in 200 cals of normal food, however for various reasons have just added a 200 cal bar into the mix, for supper - quite like it as I tend to have dinner at 5pm so was feeling the hunger by bed time.

Weigh in tomorrow so hopefully there will be no dramatics to report.

I like the packs - porridge/ cereal for breakfast - meal pack for lunch and either a shake or bar for dinner and a bar for supper.

I had never done VLC anything but really enjoying it - aiming for a stone off in Feb, only 4 pounds to go before Monday!!!

questions2008 · 25/02/2016 16:52

hi suzy - how many cals in total did the 4 on CD give you? each pack of Exante is about 220 cals, so by having 3 you'd be getting about 660cals per day. You could also split a bar in half and have each half at different times.

Suzysnoozy · 25/02/2016 17:31

Plums tone good luck, on cambridge I managed to shift 15lbs in 3 weeks, I only need 16lbs more for my goal.

Questions 2008 good point re cambridge, I think it would have been about 700 sooooo splitting a bar is a great idea. I really enjoyed my bar in the eve after dinner and the thought of losing it makes me feel a bit lost.

In over 3 three weeks I've had my first binge! I've worked it out to be 2000 calories!!!! But it's one day, I'm back on tomorrow, 16lbs here I come.

MiniCooperLover · 25/02/2016 19:19

I've sent an email to my local Cambridge lady and hope to be able to start soon. I have 3 stone to lose.

browneyedgirl1974 · 25/02/2016 19:53

Welcome mini. I am on exante too suzy and it is fine. Giving me some control as I am knclined to mess up and than think why bother. I do get hungry but it is not as bad as I thought. Actually relieved my real food week is over.
In 4 weeks I have lost getting on for a stone so pleased.

plumstone · 26/02/2016 09:18

AAARGGGHHHH - 11.8 this morning, so bloody close, it hovered on 11.7 for a second and then decided on 11.8. Anywho that is 3 pounds off in 10 days, 5 of which were TOM.

Hoping that I will hit 11.7 or less by Monday - and then it will be a stone in Feb!!!!

Have a good weekend!! xx

questions2008 · 26/02/2016 09:23

suzy you'll soon get used to not having a 4th pack, just think how quickly you got used to not eating whenever you wanted whatever you wanted...Sometimes, if I'm really struggling, I'll have an extra bite of a bar with a coffee, and that tides me over. But the second week it's been much easier so I don't feel hungry most of the time.

Hi mini! Good luck starting, just think you could lose those 3st by the summer...

Weigh in today and at 2 weeks I'm down a total of 11.2 lbs - I lost 7 the first week and the rest in the 2nd. I've totally got the baking and not eating under control, made cake last night and didn't eat any of it.

questions2008 · 26/02/2016 09:26

plum that's pretty much the same thing, yay!

plumstone · 26/02/2016 09:59

Thats great Question, I don't bake at the moment, or have any proper food in the house - much easier that way!!!

Mini - I was where you are on the 1st Feb, and I am will be a third of the way there by Monday - if it kills me Grin

Cannot wait to get smaller, I have been perusing Pin Interest for thin people clothes - I am aiming for chic and elegant - I am also a bit of a dreamer!!!

browneyedgirl1974 · 26/02/2016 18:16

Well I met some friends last night for the 1st time since starting diet and they were very complimentary. So it is working.

Suzysnoozy · 27/02/2016 09:32

You're right question2008 I will get used to it. I only did 3 yesterday and it was fine, I did follow it up with a bottle of wine but I've had the week from hell and not had alcohol since Xmas day, today back on 3 packets. Had the cheese eggs, bit weird but I'm over it, it may be the hangover though. I feel really slim on a plus note, probably dehydrated!
