I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

questions2008 · 27/02/2016 13:38

oops double post...

plumstone · 27/02/2016 20:52

So today has the breakfast eggs and for lunch the sausages but decided that as it was a Saturday I would add real food, wafer then ham and some artichoke hearts. - random but i took a notion and oh my god my gallbladder has started to play up, this was at about 1pm and only just feeling better - back to three packs only as of Monday - no idea how the reintroducing of real food will go in a couple of months, but a problem for another day!!

JOEYDOESNTSHAREFOOD · 28/02/2016 12:11

Can I join you? I'm on Exante TS,so three packs a day. Today is my first proper day on it. I tried it about six months ago but it didn't fit in with my lifestyle then. Things have changed so it's not so much of an issue now.

I'm a little excited.

questions2008 · 28/02/2016 14:44

Hi jody, welcome to the gang Smile

I've just 2 weeks on TS so not far ahead of you, first week was tough but in the swing of things now.

questions2008 · 28/02/2016 14:45

joey!

JOEYDOESNTSHAREFOOD · 28/02/2016 15:48

Hi Questions, thank you. Smile

questions2008 · 29/02/2016 10:13

Right, new day, new week...how's everyone doing?

plumstone · 29/02/2016 10:22

Morning, Morning - all good here - going to try 16:8, mainly because I have not stopped since I got into the office, and if I can get everything done that I need to, I am going to have an hour at midday to really enjoy my porridge!!!!

Really want 4-6lbs off before Friday. So focus, focus focus and lots of water!!

xx

questions2008 · 29/02/2016 10:45

Good to hear plum - what's 16:8?

Does anyone know if it's OK to eat 2 bars + 1 shake a day? I've been doing 2 shakes and 1 bar so far...I can't think of any reason why not (same cals)...

plumstone · 29/02/2016 11:03

Hi Questions - its eating within an 8 hour window and then fasting for 16 hours. So eating everything between 12pm and 8pm and then nothing till 12pm the next day. I am hoping it improves my life (tad exaggeration) but at the moment I am having dinner at work and getting home 7/8pm and starving. so hoping that surviving on water and a couple of coffees between getting up and midday, then something at 4pm and then someone with I get home will improve my life!!

DOn't see why two bars and a shake would matter as opposed to two shakes and a bar, like you said same calories, as long as you don't get bored I cannot see the problem!!!

questions2008 · 29/02/2016 11:14

Ahh, thanks for the clarification - that's generally what I've been doing so far as I find a coffee and lots of water in the morning is enough (just don't feel hungry in the mornings). Funnily enough, I could probably go to about 1/2pm without anything, but as soon as I have my first shake, 3-4 hrs later I'm ready for the next. Didn't realise there was any benefit to eating within a shorter window, always have that mantra of breakfast is the most important meal of the day going round in my head!

Have sent Exante a FB message about the bars/shakes combo, let's see what they say.

browneyedgirl1974 · 29/02/2016 19:11

Hi. Well Sunday was my meal out. If it hadn't been a close family birthday I would have cancelled as I had dreadful heartburn. The meal was rubbish. I had roast to beef but really didn't enjoy it. I enjoyed my exante ham pasta and mushroom soup this evening.
Also had appointment to discuss plans for my surgery and tbh he really pissed me off. I was originally told I need to lose 2 to 21/2 stone (21/2 stone would would take my bmi to 30). Turns out he now wants me to get my bmi to 28. So the other stone I thought I needed to lose has morphed into 13kg.

O well going to have to stick to this for 2 months. Than a month of low calorie or 5 2 will hopefully do it.
welcome joey

browneyedgirl1974 · 29/02/2016 19:15

question I just eat ehat I fancy. Today was 2 bars and a meal. I am not thst keen on the shakes but only have them for breakfast.

browneyedgirl1974 · 29/02/2016 19:16

What I fancy

JOEYDOESNTSHAREFOOD · 29/02/2016 19:43

Hi all,

I had porridge for breakfast, soup for lunch, and the pizza for tea. Was all ok. PILs have come back from holiday with a huge gift of chocolate. Lovely of them, but too much of a temptation!

questions2008 · 29/02/2016 20:08

I haven't tried any of the meals, just shakes and bars. Exante replied saying any combo is fine.

joey give it away! Your neighbours will love you Grin

questions2008 · 29/02/2016 20:09

I might be going out for dinner on Thursday, but have chosen a fish restaurant so hopefully will be able to just eat protein.

questions2008 · 29/02/2016 20:10

browneyed that's annoying! But upside is you'll be even safer going into surgery..

browneyedgirl1974 · 29/02/2016 20:48

That is true.question thank you

browneyedgirl1974 · 01/03/2016 20:55

Serious willpower required. Just been to the chip shop to pick up chips for dd and dh. I will not eat the leftovers as I had 2 days back on plan. Will be having dinner out on Saturday too so must be strick this week.
Amazing loss btw question

plumstone · 02/03/2016 09:43

Finally!!!!!!

Cheeky mid week weigh in and another 2 pounds off - that is 15 pounds since 1st Feb - so relieved but not recording anything till Friday. Maybe I can get another 1 or 2 off before then, then its "hello SpaceNK" very excited!!!

Brown - seriously impressed re chippy chips, I walked from the station home last night, and the smell from the pizza shops almost caused me to crack - willpower is an awesome thing!!!! xx

browneyedgirl1974 · 02/03/2016 15:01

Thanks plum I weighed in at gym today and I am now 13 stone on the nose. So 13lbs in just under 4 weeks. Annoyed I didn't get a decent reading until week one. Treated myself to a nail polish and eyeshadow as s treat as I believe I have lost just over a stone

plumstone · 02/03/2016 15:22

Get in thats fab!!!!

Love a weight loss reward that is not food related!!! Enjoy the nail polish - I don't wear eyeshadow but enjoy that too!! :)
