feel your pain plum I've just about recovered from stonking cold - started on packs when the cold was in full swing, actually helped as I didn't have much appetite!
Weighed in this morning, 4 full days in - loss of 2.9kg (6lbs) - hurray! Great but this is also my buffer zone ie when I do come off the packs, I should expect to put on a similar amount pretty sharpish, so have to aim 3kg below my "ideal" weight when I stop. At the moment I'm trying not to think too far ahead, because that's such a long way away.
Yesterday I found hard, especially towards the cold evening, really felt like eating something, which I didn't, drank a cup of decaf coffee instead and distracted myself. Perhaps what's harder is hoping that I will stick to it, but have a nagging worry that I will break and I really really don't want to!
Trying to take it day by day for now. I keep telling myself that if I break, I'm out of options as I've tried so many things over the last year, apart from continually piling on the pounds and that's the most awful option.
I also tested myself by baking some cookies with my son this weekend to decorate for Valentine's - I did not eat or lick a thing! This is quite important as I do a lot of cake baking, so my utter downfall has been hoovering up all the leftover batters/buttercreams/ganaches/choc etc. Have more cake to bake this weekend, and next few weekends, so will have to redouble my determination for then.
I am drinking a minimum of 4 ltrs a day, yesterday I hit 5.5ltrs as I was battling with the urge to eat by just drowning it out! So many toilet runs! I find a 1ltr bottle by my side means I just get through it without thinking (keep refilling of course!).
helena congrats on your wedding - do it now (I did similar before I got married many years ago) you will feel great in 8 weeks' time!
I'm with browneyed on daily weighing, I know I shouldn't but I still do! Just don't try to attach too much to each and every weigh though - I weighed on Sunday with no loss, but then this morning has dropped another kg because (TMI) I'd gone to the toilet...
nick, sorry I'm not sure what the difference between levels on CWP is, but if it includes increasing your food intake, I think it's normal to put on a little bit in the first few days as your body stores more water & glycogen from the available food.
toasty great work! how many more are you aiming for?
This is becoming a bit of an essay, sorry!
