I have my first appointment with my consultant booked for three weeks time. I've done lots of research and prepping and just wondered if anyone else was in the same position? I could do with the support! Smile

You can do it luloo. Even your 1600 calorie day is probably less than you burned off so no harm done. Just don't dwell on it and start afresh today.
I keep dreaming about breaking it by eating toast so I feel your pain.

questions2008 · 11/02/2016 12:20

Right, weighed this morning and I'm 89.5kg, which is 16kgs heavier than I was just 14 months ago!!!! Bloody heck.

Anyway, I'm currently down with the flu but determined now I've seen the numbers.

browneyed I thinks that's a good idea about adding in an extra sachet every 3 rd week as it mixes it up for your body so it doesn't slow down your metabolism rate after it realises you have permanently cut down on calories and an it's not a fad . Amazing that you go to the gym too! I might give my treadmill a go once I've recovered from this darn flu.

questions2008 · 11/02/2016 12:22

luloo stick at it! I remember finding the first 4 weeks hard (last time I did this) but after that I went on for 16 weeks in total.

nickdrakeslovechild · 12/02/2016 09:31

Weigh in day today, I am feeling very disheartened, I think I have only lost 2lb. Not sure what to do, only eating such few calories the weight should be falling off, but I am only losing the same amount as someone eating lots of food on weight watchers!!!!

I think as soon as I eat some proper food the weight is going to pile on. Sad and I have still got just under 2 stone to go as I am going away with the girls all of who are tiny size 8. We also have visitors here all weekend so lots of nice food and drink around and I am on measly shakes.

Sorry, for the pity party.

NickNacks · 12/02/2016 09:47

What about going up a step? Would that help? I don't think the losses are all that different but you'd get to have a bit of food.

OP posts:
nickdrakeslovechild · 12/02/2016 10:20

I did think that, but then I would only lose 1lb a week??? Think I am just fed up today. I am really missing proper food at the moment. Not missing carbs or sweet stuff at all. I had a dream about drinking wine and eating sprouts!

NickNacks · 12/02/2016 15:57

Lost 2 lb myself this week. Still pleased as it takes me to 21lb. Keep going...

OP posts:
browneyedgirl1974 · 12/02/2016 22:56

Week 2 down 3lb. So roughly 7lb in 2 weeks.

browneyedgirl1974 · 13/02/2016 19:00

I have had to reduce my intensity level at the gym but am still sticking with it
. How is everyone? Anyone doing anything for Valentines day tomorrow. A difficult day to be on a diet.

Suzysnoozy · 14/02/2016 08:19

I've followed this thread with interest and I'm on day 14 of cwp. I know I shouldn't weigh myself everyday but hey I do... Today is the first day I haven't seen any weight loss, is this normal after 2 weeks on plan? I don't have much more to lose so I'm desperate to stick this out but I'm also craving a meal with my family, I WILL do this.

toastyarmadillo · 14/02/2016 08:56

Finally weighted in........
Drum roll please.......
So for two weeks on exante.......
With a day off between weeks......
Total loss so far is..
10 lbs whoop whoop really pleased!

nickdrakeslovechild · 14/02/2016 08:59

So after 3 days of now being on SS1 rather than SS I have put on 1.5 lb!!!!!!! So fed up Sad

NickNacks · 14/02/2016 09:29

Nick- why are you weighing yourself after three days? Weekly weigh in only because everyone's weight naturally fluctuates with water retention, totm and even whether you need the loo or not. Keep going!

OP posts:
browneyedgirl1974 · 14/02/2016 12:23

Agree daily weigh in is daft but I still do it. I weighed in on day 5 of 2nd week and lost 3lb. Day seven still 3lb so a bit disappointed. However, weighed today and was down 4lb. So gone from 13 13 to 13 6 in 9 days. Although may not a true reflection.
well done toasty and hang in there nick.

helenahandbag · 15/02/2016 09:28

Welp, I've had a TERRIBLE few days of food and last night I made a spur of the moment decision and fired off a text to a new Cambridge consultant. I'm meeting her tomorrow on my lunch break. CWP is expensive but I love the products, I know it works and I get into ketosis far more easily than on the other, cheaper plans.

We leave for NYC (where we're getting married) nine weeks today so it's now or never Sad

plumstone · 15/02/2016 09:33

Morning All, been in bed for the last three days with a stocking cold - on the plus have taken no medication (possible sugar in lemsip yes I know OCD) and slept through it - waking and having my three packs each day, and 3ls of water - one thing I have noticed is that my skin is much less dry around my nose and I don't feel quite so dehydrated today. Went to stand on the scales and nothing - no reading - nada!!!!! Think the batteries have died, either that or I have broken the scales!! Will purchase new battery and report back tomorrow!!! Toasty that is an awesome result - Nick keep going any loss is a loss!!! xoxo

questions2008 · 15/02/2016 10:16

feel your pain plum I've just about recovered from stonking cold - started on packs when the cold was in full swing, actually helped as I didn't have much appetite!

Weighed in this morning, 4 full days in - loss of 2.9kg (6lbs) - hurray! Great but this is also my buffer zone ie when I do come off the packs, I should expect to put on a similar amount pretty sharpish, so have to aim 3kg below my "ideal" weight when I stop. At the moment I'm trying not to think too far ahead, because that's such a long way away.

Yesterday I found hard, especially towards the cold evening, really felt like eating something, which I didn't, drank a cup of decaf coffee instead and distracted myself. Perhaps what's harder is hoping that I will stick to it, but have a nagging worry that I will break and I really really don't want to!

Trying to take it day by day for now. I keep telling myself that if I break, I'm out of options as I've tried so many things over the last year, apart from continually piling on the pounds and that's the most awful option.

I also tested myself by baking some cookies with my son this weekend to decorate for Valentine's - I did not eat or lick a thing! This is quite important as I do a lot of cake baking, so my utter downfall has been hoovering up all the leftover batters/buttercreams/ganaches/choc etc. Have more cake to bake this weekend, and next few weekends, so will have to redouble my determination for then.

I am drinking a minimum of 4 ltrs a day, yesterday I hit 5.5ltrs as I was battling with the urge to eat by just drowning it out! So many toilet runs! I find a 1ltr bottle by my side means I just get through it without thinking (keep refilling of course!).

helena congrats on your wedding - do it now (I did similar before I got married many years ago) you will feel great in 8 weeks' time!

I'm with browneyed on daily weighing, I know I shouldn't but I still do! Just don't try to attach too much to each and every weigh though - I weighed on Sunday with no loss, but then this morning has dropped another kg because (TMI) I'd gone to the toilet...

nick, sorry I'm not sure what the difference between levels on CWP is, but if it includes increasing your food intake, I think it's normal to put on a little bit in the first few days as your body stores more water & glycogen from the available food.

toasty great work! how many more are you aiming for?

This is becoming a bit of an essay, sorry!

helenahandbag · 15/02/2016 10:55

I know that you're not allowed bars on CWP for the first two weeks and I really struggle with that. Does anyone know why? Do you find that you get better losses without bars?

The last time I did CWP I started on Step 2 and I lost 9lbs in the first week. Can I realistically expect to lose more in one week on SS?

plumstone · 15/02/2016 11:15

Hi Helen, I don't know - I am on Exante, which is three packs a day, shakes, bars, soups and the meals. I am sure a CWP expert will be along to advise!!

Sorry!

toastyarmadillo · 15/02/2016 19:53

Loads more to go, start weight was 16.3 and I want to be under 9! Optimistic I guess.
Had pancake slop this evening, totally mangled the pancakes but ate them any way, hate the thought of throwing out one of my packs. So sat feeling somewhat sick. At least that discourages any evening nibbling right!

questions2008 · 15/02/2016 21:00

We've got to start somewhere! I've also got loads, I'm really short, 5ft, so I have no where to hide any extra. In a dream world i'd be around 60kg (even that doesn't get me to healthy bmi!) but from experience I feel great around 70kg max, which means at least another 16kgs to go.

Already had my last pack of the day so here's to a good evening! I know what you mean about wasting packs, I had an orange and pineapple sachet and it was awful, but just downed it with a grimace! Otherwise, I've been really surprised by how nice most of the exante packs are - previous one I could only stand the chocolate flavour and had that 3 times a day!!

browneyedgirl1974 · 15/02/2016 21:56

Well it looks like the weight is coming off my bottom half. Normally wear 18/20trousers. Managed to do up a size 16 pair today. They were still tight but progress. My 38k boobs though are still filling my bra.

browneyedgirl1974 · 15/02/2016 21:57

It is a pain being short. 5ft 2 here

plumstone · 16/02/2016 08:31

Morning All - Well with new sparkly batteries I am delighted to report 5pounds off this week, which make a fully acceptable 10 since the 1st Feb. Almost squealed when I stood on the scales this morning, haven't seen an 11 as the starting number for a loooooooooooooong time, as hoping for 11.13 but 11.11 I will happily take.

Toasty - I love the pancakes - had to buy a non stick frying pan and it was a bit trial and error, but I can get three decent sized out each pack.

With two weeks in and two to go on the stuff I have, I am really thinking carefully about what I but for the second month. Really want to try and "eat" as normally as possibly, so it will be lots of porridge for breakfasts, and the noodles, carbonara, lasagne and shepherds pie for dinner, soups and bars for lunch.

I don't hate anything, but the hot chocolate and ginger hot chocolate is challenging.

Clothes are a bit weird, like BRowney, my bottom half is definitely, skinny jeans are looser, belt is up a notch, and by beautiful go to going out trousers are almost too loose to wear (Next sizing admittedly but who cares)

Anywho my little shrinking losers - heres to a great day!! xoxox

helenahandbag · 16/02/2016 11:31

Well done Plum, that's a brilliant loss! OH and I talked last night and I really can't afford Cambridge right now so I have a stash of Slim and Save coming today. I've had mint chocolate Cambridge shake as a late breakfast and 1L of water so far and I'm feeling okay.

I'm looking forward to having some bars, I get so bored on three shakes a day...
