Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Hi Emz glad you are having a lovely time despite the altitude sickness!

Not2 - fitting in an old dress is definitely a non scales victory.

Jonty I'm feeling the cold too. No padding now to keep us warm!

I've had a mini whoosh today, down a pould and a bit to 10st 5 and 5/8. Pleased with that!

JontyDoggle37 · 06/12/2015 19:11

Ooh IMust you've just reminded me I need to do my body measurements again so I can hopefully celebrate a non-scale victory as well as a scale one!
Tomorrow will be a 'salt gain' I think, had lunch at Wasabi, which was gorgeous but is apparently over 1,000 calories 😳 And I feel very thirsty now. So might be down again by Tuesday or Wednesday, and hopefully no real gain from the last two days of higher calories because I've been running around like a 'blue arsed fly' as my dear dad used to say!
3 mile run scheduled for the morning plus another intensely busy day. I must plan a calm day soon....

Not2bObvious · 06/12/2015 20:15

Bit of a munchie day despite best intentions. Going to have to be a very well behaved soup day tomorrow to get back on track, scales showed 12.0.4 this morning which was ok but like you Jonty salty day today and I had some wine which wasn't in the plan but hey ho. Tried on 2 dresses for opinions (my critics were dd's and dh) and the dress from 2 years ago got a massive thumbs up, so now I just need to not lose the plot for the next 5 days. I'm toying with the idea of doing 6am bootcamp in the morning but quite honestly I could do without wanting to vom that early in the week. Or being in agony for the week either...oh I hate making decisions like this

Not2bObvious · 06/12/2015 20:20

Oops forgot to say well done imust, you're doing so good. Weight loss on a weekend, that's extraordinary😉

JontyDoggle37 · 06/12/2015 20:34

Not2b do the boot camp! It will set you up for the week, feeling like you've made a really strong start with a great finish to come in your fab dress! And I bet you won't want to vom this week, because your muscles will already be that teeny bit stronger. 👏

Bathsheba3 · 06/12/2015 20:46

Oh my goodness - all this weight loss and whooshing, everyone floating around! And news from Emz the intrepid traveller too. Everyone are doing amazingly.

I did squeal at your news yesterday morning Jonty! So bubba is going for solids - how fun!

Totally agree with Imust that dress-fitting victory is major stuff not. Don't do the bootcamp. Don't get run-down / poorly for xmas. A decent pair of spanks (under bra to knee !!!), and some time to do hair / make-up will gee you up more.

Party here went well friday evening! Had about 28 in the end. Am just polishing off the last of the champagne shame to waste. I feel like I've turned 360 degrees since this time last week. Think my little cloud has blown away. Can't tell you how good it feels. It had been hanging around for a couple of months, and really dragged me down. Hope I can join the floaters tomorrow when I weigh-in.

Bathsheba3 · 06/12/2015 20:47

Oops. I obviously meant DO the bootcamp not. It will get you on track for the week. ahem ahem. you won't be needing the spanks either.

Not2bObvious · 06/12/2015 21:14

Too late on the bootcamp - thought about and realised I have to start work too early tomorrow to make it work. But I could do a fitnessblender 45 minute that will be equally vomit making and best part free! After a stupefyingly expensive week, I could do with saving some cash. And I can go to a class Tuesday at 7am as I've prepaid for them (my gym doesn't include BC in 10 class membership thing I have very annoyingly) But thanks guys for the encouragement, dh is a b*stard for fence sitting, too many years of never saying the right thing has made him cautious to the point of useless! I should have asked you all earlier 😁

JontyDoggle37 · 07/12/2015 11:39

Morning. 1.25lbs up as predicted. However, did my body measurements and I'm 4.5inches down on October and a total loss of 20 inches!!!!😄

IMustEatMoreVeg · 07/12/2015 13:19

Jonty that is excellent well done. I didn't measure myself when I started but I have a few bits of clothes that fitted in June and now they... don't. Grin

IMustEatMoreVeg · 07/12/2015 13:19

Stayed the same weight wise here.

Whatthequack · 07/12/2015 14:10

Hi! Please can I join?

I lost over 4 stone from January til September. Afterwards it was a downhill slippery slope, as I just bought a house and have spent my free time renovating it rather than gyming or eating healthily. I weighed myself last night, I've gained 10 pounds!

I plan on using MFP and the 5:2 diet to control my diet. Plus going to the gym at least 3 times a week. (Although with Ds2 aged 1 frequently keeping me up all night, I doubt I'll got that target).

I'm 5ft 2, and currently weight 10st 11. I would love to lose 2 stone.

Not2bObvious · 07/12/2015 15:26

20 inches? Wow Jonty, that's impressive. No weigh in today but on a soup day so hoping the scales is kind tomorrow.
Welcome what - I'm also doing 5:2 but I've rebranded the 2 as soup days and not going as strict as 500, usually somewhere between 650-750, doable and effective enough. 3 of the 5 at 1200-1400 and 2 at 1600-2000. I'm starting week 3 and in the last 2 weeks I'm down 5 pound. Best of luck!
Waves to imust, staying the same on a Monday is great in my book but then I'm a weekend disaster!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 07/12/2015 15:29

Welcome Quack.

Not2 you have definitely found your mojo this month! How great to be down 5lb just before Christmas.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 07/12/2015 15:33

Just had a bit of a binge on sugar. 600 cals worth of cake and chocolate. I have about 350 left for the day now. I might have to go over because the meal I had planned for tonight is 600ish. I feel okay now though at least - I'm not going to carry on eating.

Whatthequack · 07/12/2015 15:57

Has anyone any tips on what exercise helps to remove the deflated pouch that looks like a bumbag?

Bathsheba3 · 07/12/2015 15:59

20 inches is phenomenal jonty. You know your body by now - the 1.25 will be off with more soon enough.

5 lbs is great too Not2.

Oops Imust. But well done for stopping. No more for the day now. I did the same last night - homemade brownies were delicious even if I say so. Weighing in tomorrow instead.

Hello what!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 07/12/2015 16:02

Quack it might be skin so it will shrink down gradually. Lots of moisturising! I also like a bit of pilates to tone up.

Whatthequack · 07/12/2015 16:12

Hello everyone! Smile

Thanks Imust I'll check out Pilates (not sure exactly what it involves)

Today I have been on the strict day of the 5:2...
I've had, a gulp of coconut water, a cup of coffee with skimmed milk, and 1/3 of a banana. I think I'll have a small bowl of porridge for dinner made with skimmed milk and a small salmon fillet.

However I cannot for the life of me stop thinking about marshmallows!!! Princess Marshmallows, even better the ones coated in chocolate! They are devine.

Not2bObvious · 07/12/2015 16:53

I've never quite managed to clear my mummy pouch of fat so I can't comment 😁 But I'm ever grateful its shrinking! Delighted with the 5lb down, let's see if it's still that by Friday - here's hoping. Stopping my tea/ coffee now as I struggle with sleep on low cal days. I think I'll prep my dinner v soon as I'm starting to feel a bit hungry.
imust, did I read it right, were you trying to stay under 1000 today?

IMustEatMoreVeg · 07/12/2015 17:51

No but I had already had 300 for breakfast. DH wants dinner tonight so I have to cook him something. Might not eat a full portion and save mine for tomorrow.

Not2bObvious · 07/12/2015 18:45

Ahh ok, I was a bit worried you were being too hard on yourself (says she who's starving!!!)
Still have a spare 100-150, Greek yogurt me thinks before bed

Not2bObvious · 08/12/2015 06:22

Morning all, post weekend/soup day weigh in is 11.12.6, 1.2 up from
Friday but historically still an improvement. I'll weigh in tomorrow and then not again til Friday, 2nd soup day Wednesday. Ended up in bed by 9 last night, exhausted after a long days work. Delighted to be still under 12! I was showing 12.0.4 on Sunday. Next mini goal is to stay under 12 over next weekend although I won't weigh in Saturday after my Christmas party - food/drink will flow that night for sure. I'm working on strategies to not over do the drink as I truly die the next day and there are cocktails planned. Hmm, this could be tricky. I think I'll limit myself to 1 before dinner, 2 glasses of wine, 1 after dinner. And at least a glass of water to match each of the drinks. That in theory should work - but like the best laid plans eh? I'll focus on being sparkley & witty, not sloppy and whiny 😉

JontyDoggle37 · 08/12/2015 09:06

Morning, no loss here and last night I snapped and bought tortilla chips and houmous and at A LOT. So much going on and very tired at the moment, just felt the need for more. Hopefully on track today, need to make sure my lunch is a good protein/carb mix today, think I probably felt crap yesterday because I had salad...

Whatthequack · 08/12/2015 10:06

Hi all,

I weigh in at 10.9, 2 pound loss. I really think weight lifting is the key!

I'm just after buying some microwaveable quinoa and a carton of liquid whites of eggs (three chicks). Hopefully I can make myself something to eat fast, after making the family dinner.

I'm really trying not to give in and snack on some of my toddlers mini cheese nibbles!
