Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Yesterday was obviously the day for unplanned eating. I came in at about 2000 for the day.

Never mind. I feel okay today and ready to get back to it. 10st 5 exactly this morning.

Disaster!!! Mfp has decided to log me out and won't log me back in, I'll be 18 stone by the morning without it. Anyone else get locked out recently? After my soup day I thought I'd be starving but work was so busy I didn't end up eating til lunch which was definitely not soup (sneaky McDonald's but only about 500) I've only had around 1100 today, may or may not have something before bed. Second soup day tomorrow to get it done, I find Monday & Wednesday work well for me. Lounging well done on your whoosh, 2lb is great what. I'd say you're onto something jonty on your minor splurge, if your meals aren't filling you properly you'll be powerless over urges. Great to see your little splurge didn't damage you imust

Not2 you are funny. I haven't been locked out of mfp but I have had a calamity myself today. I went out for lunch and a burger made its way on to my plate. No problem, thought I, I just won't have any dinner. Then at dinner time another 800 cal of lamb meatballs happened, plus a glass of red wine ShockBlushBlush

Hey imust you'll be ok/ try a soup day tomorrow Smile I am trying to get my head around Christmas coming up. Had a 'tiny' slice of Christmas cake today and was gutted to discover it was 240 calories! Gah! Must use MFP before I put anything in my mouth!
not2be argh! I would be gutted if locked out of MFP. I may have become a tiny bit obsessive Xmas Confused I am on a 90 day streak and must keep it up- I will probably have to post on Christmas Day, just to keep my x day streak Xmas Grin

Ahhhh flip, my streak, darn it! I forgot about that 😡 I think mfp has removed my ability to perform simple addition, I had my husband helping me do my calorie sums, that was a laugh...not. Never mind imust, life will sometimes through a burger & chips at you, then some meatballs and wine 😉 I think we're all so disciplined sometimes we forget that we have to allow indulgences - the difference is you know how to stop. No guilt missy!!

Oh yeah, Christmas cake - never eat it (there had to be something I didn't eat, if they could replace normal cake with it, I'd be Kate moss)
My dear old Dad who's spending Christmas with me commented how we could have a slice on Christmas Day, you know later in the day after dinner. I just stared at him gormlessly, wtaf??? I have to have that monstrosity in my house?? Ah double flip

Sorry all - me again😉 Just want to record my weigh in, 11.11.4, down 1.2 from yesterday, up .2 from last Friday's. No weigh in now til Friday and today's my soup day. I'd be thrilled to get to 11.10.2 so fingers crossed and gob firmly shut 😬

Morning all! Me too jonty. My ds2 14 month old has been awake since 4am. I have weighed myself and I'm down to 10.9.2. I'm not sure how often I should weigh myself. Confused

I'm meant to be going to a legs bums and tums class tonight at the gym, but this morning I have managed to pull my shoulder muscle. Surely if I have some painkillers I should be okay... Or would it lead to a further injury? I could barely push the pram this morning when taking ds1 to school.

I don't like Christmas cake, however I LOVE cheesecake!

Up 1lb and 3/8 today. Sigh. My own fault.

Will try to have a light day today but I can't have a soup day as I am out for lunch with a friend. And tomorrow I am out for dinner with DH.

Probably too late a suggestion imust but eggs are good when you've not many cals left and are looking for filling. Soup day done, in or around 800. Glad to be going to bed now, decorating and putting away coats for the last hour - I think I have a coat fetish, and I bought another new one today ☺️ But it is truly gorgeous, cherry red and very fitted in a size 12, nearly 200 BUT it had been 250, not like I have any coats.... Starting to feel Christmassy!!

Well I didn't go to the gym, my shoulder and arm are still too painful to move. Instead I had the pleasure of watching dp inhale an entire pack of Oreo peanut butter cookies while watching The Apprentice. Hmm

It's just doing a hybrid of 5:2, higher cal fd with lower cal nfds what, I just put the fd's under the guise of emz's soup days, which I think originally were truly soup but has now morphed into a name for low cal day. I did 5:2 for a long time but fell very out of love with it. But now I just do the days quite easily, I don't venture onto the 5:2 boards - they were amazing, great support but I find it less serious here. I'm a reluctant 5:2'er really 😛 More a mfp:souper trouper! Hope the pain goes soon
No weigh in til tomorrow, not as hungry as you might think after yesterday. Loads to do today, shopping before work, during lunch, after work! Still on plan for my little black sparkly dress to fit nicely. How's everyone else doing, jonty, imust, check in later - tell up if you're feeling any better Flowers

Hey ladies! Sorry ive been awol, I have been reading though and still wondering how many calories having sex burns

Some brilliant whooshes going on here, you're all doing brilliantly.

Ive been ill with a bug for 3 weeks, felt crap but almost better. Dh and the kids have been suffering too. The bad news is that I still haven't seen 10 stone something so missed my target....from October. The better news is that Im maintaining 11 st despite some dodgy food choices and missing the gym for 2 weeks. Back to the gym tonight, not feeling particularly motivated though! My plan is to maintain for the rest of December then get back on it after the New Year. Have ds' birthday next week then some understated celebration the week after so not going to beat myself up

I think Talkinpeace directed me to here.

Tried all sorts of diets, Atkins, Cambridge, raw food, paelo, fasting was good felt nice and empty and lighter except afterwards gorged my self on somosas and chocolates, soups bars and shakes and yes lost weight but didn't keep it off.
Haven't always been fat. Infact always been underweight and largely ate junk (v unhealthy but skinny) like I said earlier to Talkinpeace and co, woke up one day to find a bmi that was shocking. And fed up of having to always to ask for a size 20! Somewhere inside of me is not a skinny person just a sad person. And I stress eat... Which I am loads at the mo.

I am trying to lose a lot of weight (seriously loads) bmi is 49% :(
I know it's not an overnight job taken me years to put it on! So probably just as long to take it off.

I have set my goal at a lb a week. For my height I need to be approx 9 or under I'm almost double.....

By my calculations by the second week of April 2018 I should be my ideal weight that's at 1lb a week ....

Any advice gretfully accepted for someone at the start of their journey.

Oh wow - I think you might be our first referral Simply I for one am flattered and excited😉 Emz the originator is on hols but if you've read a bit you'll see there's a good few of us going the mfp route. I'm really only starting to show success but others such as emz, jonty, imust etc are flying! The best thing is you haven't said anything about trying to
lose a stone in a week, so you're doing great by being realistic. Can you give us an idea of what you would normally eat, and are you calorie/serving Savvy? Delighted to have you here and would love to help

I'm not sure I am calorie savy, but I do remember watching tv once many years ago and Oprah saying that as long as you ate less than 21g of fat a day you would lose weight and at that time I was v underweight. Have done weight watchers and the points system.
I'm 5ft 2in so short. My friends make me feel tall! And I'm not a run around type of person at 16st 3lb I have one speed I keep reminding the children.
Quiet like the mfp because I can see how much I can still eat.... Like to snack Infact missing sugar right now and desperate for a sainsburys baked shortbread with chocolate bits, or a costa panettone have a lot of work on and deadlines so feel like I need a few bottles of Pepsi/Coke 😉 Not good I know.

Hopefully I can talk myself out of going to the shops.

Tonight's dinner is salmon potatoes peas carrots and hollandsise. Yesterday was chocolate fudge caramel cake, 500ml Coke, hula hoops beef (1 packet) and for dinner steak and chips. The night before Tuesday dominos pizza followed in the evening by a dinner of kebab with all the cabbage and bits (incidentally that's only my 4th donner kebab in my life) wow I really do look unhealthy.

Today's been a good day so far had courgette curry about 200g and approx 200ml of morrocoan chorba soup.

I'm a secret picker/snacker v often don't feel hungry at the dinner table as been munching before hand! Willpower I hear you shout!
