Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Imust - 10lbs in November is amazing! And both you Jonty doing so well. Keep up the good work!

I did think to just blow-it yesterday, on the basis that Xmas is a very indulgent time, and to just give in for December and start afresh in Jan. But no - I can do 3 good(ish) weeks by Xmas. I'm not going to set myself any targets, except to cut out the sugar (chocs, biccies, sweets, ice cream) I have been reaching to over the last month+ to try and drown out frustrations at home, and bad feelings in me.

I genuinely do feel SO much better, and another good day food so far today. Thanks for kind words Not2. You will be in the 11s soon enough. I stalled once I hit the 11s (back in July!) but am determined to join everyone else in the 10s. It can be done! Even to be 10 st 13 will be a bloody miracle.

Out to the cinema this evening to see The Van. Anyone seen it?

Loungingbutnotforlong · 01/12/2015 17:32

Hi everyone- wow, you are all doing so well! I have struggled this month with not doing enough exercise and probably being bit lax on the calories- using them on the wrong things (chocolate!) Blush. So I will re-commit. I did my Santa run at the weekend, and will go on the treadmill tonight. I know it should all be about calories in/ calories out, but I really need the bit of lee-way that exercise brings, even if I only eat half of them back. 10.6.5 just now ( which means I have bumped around the same 2 lbs for a month) Grr! Angry

Not2bObvious · 01/12/2015 18:20

Hi Lounging, nice to see you Wink Well done on the Santa run, I haven't ran in a couple of weeks, weathers been too bad and I'm a lazy fatso I know it's all relative but I think 10.6.5 is fab, and don't think of it as voicing around the same 2 pounds, you've "maintained" and now you're ready to start actively losing again.
Bath delighted you're not falling into the wait til January trap - you've just given yourself an amazing early Christmas gift. Better than a New Years half stone gain that's for sure! Oops, I've gone all speech'ey, sorry all - it's probably hunger Grin Dinner due real soon - thankfully

Bathsheba3 · 01/12/2015 18:35

Hi Lounging! I hear you on the exercise front. But +/- 2lbs over the month is brilliant. You could have piled a whole load on, but haven't. You're in the same weight-zone as Jonty & I must. Less of the being a lazy fatso thank you! You would have sweated-out a bit more running in your santa suit [fmile]

Not2bObvious · 01/12/2015 18:54

Haha bath, I'm the lazy fatso not lounging Grin

Loungingbutnotforlong · 01/12/2015 19:42

Hi everyone! Thanks for the encouragement! 'Maintaining'- not2 - quite right! Grin it's true I could have gone crazy and it has been useful to see what staying the same weight looks and feels like, diet wise. Not too bad, as it turns out Wink
Hey Bathsheba! Glad you are still checking in- have been thinking of you and sending good vibes. Keep plugging away.

JontyDoggle37 · 02/12/2015 06:52

Morning all. Still 10.7 here, resorted to taking Senokot last night as something has caused me some 'issues' the last few days so hopefully when that takes effect I will be a bit lighter!! 3 mile run in the cards again this morning.

JontyDoggle37 · 02/12/2015 06:54

Oh, nearly forgot my confession. I feel face first into a tin of celebrations last night. I had about ten. I've hidden the the rest of the tub on the basis of 'out of sight, out of mind'. Had a very down day yesterday and ended up comforting myself with chocolate. Doesn't happen often these days, so just getting back on the horse today and drawing a line under it.

Not2bObvious · 02/12/2015 07:05

Ahh the old face down in a tub of chocolates problem jonty, it's doing the rounds at the minute. I did something similar with a box of roses over the weekend. I do not know what it is about sweets like that, I can't stop at 1-2, I eat 6 at a time x 3 or 4 or 5 Out of sight is a good plan, better plan is get them out of the house (and don't do it like me, disposing of them in my gob!)
Weighing in soon, hoping to see the back of some of the 2 pound gain. Soup day today

Bathsheba3 · 02/12/2015 07:14

poor you Jonty. At least you stopped at 10! Hope the senokot works very soon. Awful when that happens. Have a strong coffee too after your run. And maybe a sit-down / relax too? What happened with that job you went for ?

Not2 & Lounging - apologies for getting you muddled up. Regardless, I'm in the fatso camp, but still really determined to shift another load.

2 days without sugar my body feels / looks so different. My eyes are less puffed-up for starters 1st thing. Plus my marshmallow spare tyres around my midriff feel less spongy. All wishful thinking perhaps.

Wonder how our lovely Emz is doing far away in the sun, with her man, and in her size 10 bikini!!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 02/12/2015 08:42

I'm up a lb to 10st 8 Confused but I have been sticking to 1200. I too need the senokot!

Jonty 10 is nothing. A few months ago I would have snarfed the whole tin.

Bath glad you are feeling better already. I know I feel slimmer after just a couple of days of eating well.

Lounging - thanks for checking out how maintaining feels! Glad it isn't too bad. Hope to be there soon!

Not2 good luck with soup day.

JontyDoggle37 · 02/12/2015 08:48

Yey Bath good to see you back on track and feeling better!
I won't hear about the job until middle of next week, the CEO has been travelling.
Anyone up for buying shares in Senokot? We should make a bomb!

Not2bObvious · 02/12/2015 11:52

I here you on the Senokot - I've a supply on hand at all times! I hate having to use them though, cause while they work, I just end up constipated again for another day or 2 Sad
In less sh*tty (hehe) news the scales showed 11.13.8!!! So down 1.8 on yesterday which delighted about. Soup day is going good so far, just fluids in - feeling pretty ok, not sure what to have for lunch, porridge soup, soup or egg on wholemeal toast. I'm thinking egg would be a nice change, need it to fill me til 6 though...

Bathsheba3 · 02/12/2015 16:39

I have a box of slimatee (Holland & Barratt) for emergency use only Xmas Grin. Just spotted a whole thread about it in weight loss chat.

Wild rice & roast veggies, salad and salmon this eve for dinner. Yum.

Not2bObvious · 02/12/2015 18:37

Griddled chicken and salad for me. I think that's me done for the day, feel ok at the minute but it's early yet Grin I don't think I've heard of slimatee, I drank gallons of that one VB was meant to be into years ago - about as useful as a chocolate teapot! Off to have a nose on that thread, love a good weight loss chat Wink

IMustEatMoreVeg · 02/12/2015 19:09

The slimatee from Holland and Barrett has senna in it. I used it last year.

Not2bObvious · 03/12/2015 06:58

Morning all. I think the curse of consti (ykwim Wink) has now hit me too. I'm going to he off weigh in until tomorrow morning, had a very successful soup day yesterday (with no soup haha) but have visitors over for dinner so I'd hate to see a great number today and then a gain tomorrow as that's my official weigh in day - probably makes no sense to anyone but me! Up since 5.30 cleaning and prepping dinner as if a busy day ahead - hoping its so busy I keep to 1300! Anyone else up? Jonty*, you're normally up with the dawn?

JontyDoggle37 · 03/12/2015 07:04

Morning Not2b yes been up since 5.45 but so has baby so no chance to post yet! Had dinner out last night, VERY pleased with myself as I stuck to fizzy water and had not one drop of alcohol! However, by the time I got home it was obvious meal had been very salty as I was so thirsty, and sure enough this morning in 1lb up at 10st8. Argh the frustration! Going for a soup day today, DH is cooking tonight so just got to plug his recipe in and see what that comes out at, then I can plan the rest of the day. God I hope there's a whoosh soon this is getting demoralising!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 03/12/2015 08:06

10st 6 and 5/8 this morning after the senokot took effectGrin I also had a soup day yesterday (with no soup!) so that also helped. Come on everybody's whooshes!

Not2bObvious · 03/12/2015 12:22

Well done Jonty! Great resolve to manage a night out on the dry. Nice to see some movement...ahem... imust Lots of coffee has sorted me Grin Hoping to see some drop from last Friday's 11.13.4 tomorrow. Only had something to eat an hour ago, busy'ness is a great thing for the reducer!

Bathsheba3 · 03/12/2015 14:31

Scales going right way for me, but don't want to jinx anything by reporting. Hope dinner goes well this eve Not. What are you cooking? We are having a party tomorrow eve. Busyness here too. Dinner / drinks isn't just that is it? It is a full house tidy, clean, trip to dump ... on top of normal chores. Have 2 days work today / tomorrow to squeeze in too.

Amazed at your restraint at dinner Jonty. Hats off to you. I think I'll do Dry Jan again. I joined a thread in Chat last Jan, and again for Dry June. Daily drinker otherwise Blush

Not2bObvious · 03/12/2015 16:42

Round roast in the slow cooker bath, had to use the slow cooker as doing a deep clean on my cooker - oh my god, the dirt, the shame! I'm trying to get the house clean bit by bit as have a huge party in 3 weeks with 30 coming, I'm dreading it.
Food wise today, very light so far. Wish I could just relax but can't with my visitor coming, and again on Saturday. I can complain, I had last week free. I've set myself a challenge to control my chocolate eating, I'm having my advent chocolate each day but no other chocolate, and I'll donate money to charity - if I do it for charity I can control myself. I know it's not a completely selfless good deed but hey everyone's a winner Grin

JontyDoggle37 · 04/12/2015 06:39

Well yesterday turned out not to be a soup day, because I could have eaten the house. Down to 10.6.75 this morning. 0.25lbs in the right direction, but considering I'm supposed to be hitting 10.4 by Monday, it feels like a drop in the ocean. Trying for a proper soup day today....

IMustEatMoreVeg · 04/12/2015 07:25

I'm exactly the same as yesterday at 10.6 and 5/8. Waiting for my whoosh!

Not2bObvious · 04/12/2015 08:20

Sound the alarm!!! Whoosh over here:
Last Friday - 11.13.4
This Froday - 11.11.2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Can you tell I'm excited?) Off now to float Grin
