Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Welcome back emz!!! Lovely to "see" you 😉 Oh my, what a thing to happen? You poor poor love, that sounds so scary. I've never had food poisoning, just a bout or 2 of gastro but even then I thought I'd die, so glad you're home safe and well. Poached egg and toast sounds like a good idea. I seriously doubt you'll have any holiday weight gain after that! If you, there is no justice and you have my blessing to kick the crap out of your scales. Not feeling too fond of pizza after quesy night myself, although in my case it was carb/alcohol gluttony. Thank the heavens no hangover though, I thought I might wake with a head (expresso martini, my new discovery from Friday night - hardly suitable on a Sunday afternoon! Dope...)

JontyDoggle37 · 14/12/2015 08:08

Welcome back Emz!👋
I'm up to 10.6.75 after the weekend, although some of that is bloat, water retention and it being TOTM, so hopefully not too much damage done. Aiming for 1300 today and half a sense of being back on track.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 14/12/2015 08:15

Hi Emz glad to have you back!

Not2 - I absolutely love an espresso martini but they are lethal!

Jonty - no worries about bloat. It comes off as quick as it went on.

I am down to 10st 5 again today. Going to have a soup day so hopefully a bit lower tomorrow.

SimplyMrsBlobby · 14/12/2015 13:42

Hello all.

Emz it sounds like a wonderfully hol to have just sorry you weren't well enough to enjoy it.

Imust 10.5 stones is incredible and I feel excited to hear your dropping wait still, there is hope for me yet.

Hubby know I'm trying. I don't think he was purposely trying to sabotage me it was me I fancied the spicey chicken.

Everyday feels like a battle situation against grazing/snacking....don't feel like it's completely natural yet.. And having to work on not putting things in my mindlessly.

Even classroom full of cake. 😬

Not2bObvious · 14/12/2015 17:02

Sounds like self sabotage then simply not spousal sabotage, I have to repeatedly tell my husband to ignore my requests for feeding! Hope you managed to keep away from them cakes 😬
Great to hear the scales is looking good imust, and jonty sounds like you did flip all damage, taking totm fluid etc into account. Soup day ok'ish, but feel tired and fussed now. Crappy day at work - Don't particularly want to eat loads more, though I'd murder a glass of wine and a big bag of crisps! I won't but it's on my mind. Small supper, no more caffeine/plenty of water and an early night will do me.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 14/12/2015 17:15

Not - when I am having a bad day and my gut reaction is to eat, I try to remind myself that eating won't make the day any better AND I won't have a scales loss to make me feel better!

Simply - are you sure now is the right time to be embarking on weight loss? If you are not in the right head space you will keep 'failing' and beating yourself up all the time. It won't help at all and will make you feel terrible.

I have had a really good soup day so far. I feel great and I have a lovely plan for this evening which doesn't involve eating so I'm on track for a little drop tomorrow (I love that the scales are nearly always lower after a soup day)!

Not2bObvious · 14/12/2015 18:14

Didn't do too badly, a few oven chips popped into my gob 😳 But hey, in the past I'd be at the bottom of a tube of Pringles. I'm around 800 cals, good enough

SimplyMrsBlobby · 14/12/2015 20:20

I figure if I can just stick at it especially at this time of year then anything is possible. Just gotta work on the will pore thing and that article helped I've realised you can ignore cravings if you wait long enough.

By the way sorry for typos/grammar/spelling mistake some of it auto correct, some of it neglect-rushing around...others just plain lazy and missed.

The today and yesterday managed to come in under what mfp gave me.

Mrs Blobby

Ps how often should you weigh yourself pls ??

Hi emz welcome back- sounds like an amazing trip, although the illness sounds scary and horrific! Glad you are on the mend. When do you next see your boyfriend?
i must fingers crossed for the drop after a soup day.

I was 10.4.5 today- same weight for last few days.
simply - I like to weigh in daily- gives me some inspiration to urge surf and helps me put the brakes on when one quality street could become 20 (although MFP) has also been really great for teaching that kind of accountability.

Have a good day tomorrow everyone. X

Emz449 · 14/12/2015 22:17

He's home for Christmas now Lounging but he's in Kent and I'm Bristol based until the 23rd. Can't wait to see him already Smile

Was able to eat a bit more today!

Toast and poached eggs

Chicken Kiev with green beans and peas and then three chocolate coins.

Aiming for more calories tomorrow, I want to be able to eat more so that it doesn't mess up my weight loss long term!

Back to work tomorrow!

JontyDoggle37 · 15/12/2015 06:15

Hope work goes ok today Emz
I'm back down to 10.4.75, which feels a bit like a miracle to be honest. I'm extending my deadline from Monday 21st to Christmas Eve, give me maximum chance to get as close to goal as possible. That's 9 days away, so don't think I will make it to 10 stone, but might be able to lose another 2-3lbs by then. Had very interrupted sleep again last night, baby is teething very badly poor little boy, so today food is going to be about essential fuelling again. Still aiming for 1380 though.

Not2bObvious · 15/12/2015 06:22

Glad to hear the appetite is coming back emz, good luck back at work today. Very weak soup day in the end yesterday, just a normal low'ish calorie day in the end. Not to worry, the scales shows the same as last Tuesday (11.12.6) and that's after a night out/hangover/lunch out on the weekend. Prepped and cooked the slag bog (I'm rechristening it 😁) so that's dinner sorted. Very lean mince and a ton of veg/tinned toms/herbs/garlic etc. Will probably have with mash as I get more for my cals than pasta. How's everyone doing with exercise these days? I've completely lost my mojo apart from the odd walk. Hoping time off over Christmas might bring some dry'ish weather so I can get back to running a bit. Anyone else up at stupid o'clock?

Loungingbutnotforlong · 15/12/2015 06:32

Have a good day back at work emz- hopefully everyone is in Christmas countdown mode and it is an easy re-entry.
jonty- interrupted sleep is such a killer- you are doing so well to keep at it. My youngest is 4 and was a terrible sleeper- I only properly committed to losing the baby weight in August Xmas Grin
not2 exercise has fallen by the wayside a bit- I still get my 10,000 steps a day, but running has dropped to a maximum of twice a week. Hoping to have more time over Christmas period to get on with some (and the incentive of earning back some calories Cake)

Not2bObvious · 15/12/2015 06:32

Wow Jonty, you're totally back on track. My goal was to be 11.8.2 for the 24th, on last Friday's WI I had 2.8 to go, so 9 more days to do it and lots of food on the horizon! Got to knuckle down now steely glare time again

Loungingbutnotforlong · 15/12/2015 06:33

Wow not2 that is super going- you are really going to do this! Yeay!

Not2bObvious · 15/12/2015 06:50

Aww thanks lounging, this time (this millionth time...) I do think I can. There was a thread asking people what they can do now they've lost weight. Well I've only just broke the stone off, around 16 pound since Feb but it got me thinking. Jeans that wouldn't close, or if they closed cut off my circulation, now fit nicely without too much muffin top. It would have be impossible without that stone gone. I've felt like such a failure cause it's taken so long to accept the obvious. But the real failure would have been to give up. It's taking time but that I have, I'll get there. Well done on getting your 10,000 steps in, I have to find more opportunity to do that at least. Working every day so in the car more, I used to be able to get extra in walking the kids to school but times against me. Funny though, I'm losing more without the exercise, probably cause I'm better focussed on the food? Spose I should stop yakking and get ready for work, eurg fun times (like my job really, just trying to the finances in order before next week is challenging pain in the arse)

IMustEatMoreVeg · 15/12/2015 07:02

Down to 10st 4 and 3/8 happy happy happy.

Not2 yes you CAN do this. I know exactly what you mean. I believe I can do it this time too.

Not2bObvious · 15/12/2015 08:02

🌟🌟🌟 for you imust, well done!

Whatthequack · 15/12/2015 15:45

Well done everyone on the weight loss. I'm down to 10st 7. I'm finding it so hard to not give in to binge worthy energy riddled food. I'm so exhausted, ds2 is point blank refusing to sleep in his cot.

Not2 I've been aiming to go to the gym at least 3 times a week, once for cardio class and then two weight classes. I've found lifting really heavy is the key to getting the fat to drip off.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 15/12/2015 18:13

Quack that's great weight loss. Well done you! And on sleep deprivation too. I am amazed at how you guys (Jonty too) manage on not enough sleep AND low calorie!!

I am having another good day well on plan and feeling really motivated. Done loads of walking too today. I noticed this morning that my knickers are getting a bit big. Never had that problem before!

Not2bObvious · 15/12/2015 19:16

Well you know what they say imust, little pickers wear big knickers😁 You should reward yourself with some new bloomers! I remember having to wear size sixteen knicks after both my babies, and that was my first nsv, getting down to a size 14. Day going ok apart from roaring at the poor kids for wrecking my head and my house. Calmed down and all good now but oh my they push my buttons. I'm at around 1100 cals, think I could leave it there today, might go a small way to balancing out yesterday's abandoned soup day. Fab loss what, you're flying! Yes I hear you on the weights, have to get my act together, want to ensure I get toned while getting thin'ish

IMustEatMoreVeg · 15/12/2015 20:04

Yes I do need new bloomers. No baggy knickers wanted round here!

I've just been having a clothes trying on session by myself. I'm picking things out of my wardrobe that fitted in summer and now are massive on me. A formal dress that I bought in a panic (because nothing I had would fasten) is just hanging on me. I only wore it once! Also tried on some jeans that DM gave to me ages ago that are size 10and they fit great now.

I am loving the smaller clothes sizes. I have always been a 12 or 14 so being a 10 is a complete novelty.

Also something I have noticed this week: people who I have only met in the last few weeks (so have only known me slim) are giving me compliments on my figure. Do thin people go through life being constantly complimented and applauded for being thin??!! Grin

Not2bObvious · 16/12/2015 06:46

Morning all. Today's weigh in showed 11.12.2, drop of .4 from yesterday. That's it til Friday and soup day ahead. I am going to have to make a decent effort today & tomorrow as the last 2 days were a bit weak. Went over a bit yesterday despite efforts, just felt starving! All well and good if I were at maintenance stage but not there yet. Still managing my 1 chocolate a day so that's my saving grace but I think I may be nibbling too many crisps, need to reinstate my no crisps during the week rule (my list of rules is growing!) And no wine rule Sunday thru to Thursday, total fail these last couple of days, not much but too much considering I'm not supposed to have any. Anyway in good form to be still 11'something, 4 pound to go to reach goal by next Thursday

IMustEatMoreVeg · 16/12/2015 07:18

I'm whooshing. 10st 3 and 1/4 this morning.

Not2 you are in the groove now.
