Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Well done everyone! Having a little whoosh myself, 1lb down from yesterday, now at 10st 3 and 3/4, so I'm right behind you IMust.
Emz you didn't tell us - did your boyfriend notice how much weight you'd lost? (Assuming he has a black eye if not!😝)

Not2bObvious · 16/12/2015 10:07

Can't move for the whooshes round here 😉 Well done ladies, you're flying it! Eyes in the prize😁

Not2bObvious · 16/12/2015 10:07

Eyes on...Jesus

Hi All,

Thanks for the posts of your weight loss it is inspiring.

I started off at 16st 3lb last week. Weighted today and 16st 1lb. I had set mfp to lose 1lb a week.

Mfp does work, but is the weight loss, water loss??

Mrs Blobby.

Well done simply! If you took in less than you usually do, then no reason to believe that the 2lb isn't true weight loss. No way you shouldn't lose 1-2lb a week on 1500 a day, remember it burns calories to carry our bodies around. How are you doing sticking to your allowance? You mentioned cola as a fav, if that's full sugar cola, dropping that would save a fair few cals.
Other soup day'ers, how many cals are you sticking to as a matter of interest?

IMustEatMoreVeg · 16/12/2015 13:11

Well done Simply!

I try to come in as low as possible on a soup day. This week they were great days of 500 but more often 800ish.
Other days I stuck to 1200

SimplyMrsBlobby · 16/12/2015 13:21

I did screw up on approx 2 days but the rest of the time have kept to around 1250/1400 and allowance is 1590. Might have popped the odd
Carrot or sun-dried tomato in. Other than that not done anything different. Infact been more stagnant in life style eg movement than usual.

But not taking any for granted there's a long way to go.
Mrs Blobby.

Not2bObvious · 16/12/2015 13:26

Thanks imust, I'd say 800 will be my total today and the rest of the time I'm between 1200-1400.
Taking what you said into account simply you earned the 2lb! Great job

Emz449 · 16/12/2015 13:47

Ha he did Jonty, to be honest he didn't really like it! The cheek! I had a sore back so I got him to rub it for me and he said that all the could feel was ribs and that it felt different!

Well after holiday I weigh 9 stone and 9lbs! I lost 7lbs while away! Ridiculous. I think that's it for me weight loss wise. My boyfriends comments and other peoples have made me think that I shouldn't lose anymore. I'm happy at this weight too.

I'll still be posting of course! It'll help with my maintaining Smile

Emz bloody men! Trust him to complain!!!🙄
Today is going to be a 1900 day (ouch). Christmas shopping hell necessitated a spiced orange latte with whipped cream and a huge slice of chocolate fudge cake. 1,000 calories between the two of them - that sobered me up from the sugar rush. Sigh. Oh well, could have been worse and at least dinner is already made so I know we're having something healthy!!!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 16/12/2015 16:07

Emz that is really great FlowersFlowersFlowersStarStar

Yes please stick around. We need you to teach us how to maintain!

Not2bObvious · 16/12/2015 18:51

Omg emz, it's just over a month since you started this thread and you were 18 pounds heavier! Ok food poisoning did contribute obviously but 11 pounds down if that hasn't happened, that's unreal.
I'm glad you're happy where you are, I'm sure any more would be too much. Delighted you're not leaving us 😁

Loungingbutnotforlong · 16/12/2015 18:59

emz - well done on getting to your goal weight and in time for Christmas Xmas Grin maintaining may be a whole new challenge, so please do keep coming on and tell us how you are doing!
jonty the spiced latte and fudge cake sounds just the ticket, but shows how hard this time of year is. I seem to be assailed by chocolate at every turn.

Loungingbutnotforlong · 16/12/2015 19:12

Well done simply- 2lb loss at this time of year is super!
I also find the MFP 'in 5 weeks you could weigh x' very motivating. I never kept track of it- would be interesting to see how accurate it is.
I was 10.3.5 this morning- thank goodness the November 2lb 'bounce' is behind me. Visiting my sister and her family for a few days- must try to enjoy myself without going festive crazy Chocolate

IMustEatMoreVeg · 16/12/2015 19:57

I am loving how well everyone is doing at the moment. It is a difficult time of year to be losing weight but everyone is doing it. Simply 2lb is a great start. Lounging you are on a roll now. Jonty and I have had a whoosh. Not2 also having successful soup days and working out what does and doesn't hinder her losses. And Emz. What do people say about weight loss slowing down towards goal??!! It just shows that with determination and discipline eating less and moving more WORKS. And it works whether you have 3 stone to lose or 3lb.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 16/12/2015 19:58

I sounded smug then didn't I? !Blush

SimplyMrsBlobby · 16/12/2015 20:00

Emz,
V delighted for you and it's good you know what your happy with.

I have learnt that occasional hiccup are ok .. Occasional! And you shouldn't beat your self up but get back to it.

1lb a week is slow and hopefully won't make me look saggy....

I'm taking it a day at a time. And have been saying no thank you to yummy things! And people commented.
Mrs Blobby

Thanks for your kind comments all. Let's see what happens next week. Just scared that it might be ...water.

JontyDoggle37 · 17/12/2015 06:35

SimplyMrsB you said yourself you've consistently eaten under your calorie goal this week - so I'd say it's real. Some weeks though, you will only lose 1lb, some weeks (especially TOTM) you'll lose none, and others you'll suddenly drop 3lbs in three days. If there's one thing we've learnt it's that weight loss is neither linear not entirely predictable, BUT if you follow your MFP goals, and track everything you eat, you definitely WILL lose weight.
No loss for me today, unsurprising after CakeGate yesterday! Today, Friday and Saturday can be really good days for me as DH is away working for a lot of it, so I can eat veggie/more low cal than I do when he is here (he's very supportive, but I would happily eat veg and pasta for dinner whereas he would look very sad with no meat on the plate!). Won't be any running this week as I've got a cold now, but I'm still feeling better than I have for a week or so, because I've had a bit more sleep, baby only waking once and not 2/3 times.

Not2bObvious · 17/12/2015 07:20

Glad to hear you're getting a bit more sleep Jonty, boo hiss on a cold coming though 😩 1 week left to goal!!! No weigh in today, and I'm not feeling super confident about tomorrow. I have a feeling it'll be a maintenance week but that's ok, as was just said linear weight loss isn't a given, have to play the long game sometimes. Very busy/foodie weekend on the horizon. Out for dinner & drinks tomorrow (repeating mantra of "must not lose the run of oneself"....) and then hosting a big family party on Sunday. My plan is to drink water for as long as possible, be the hostess with the mostest and set aside a normal portion of the goodies to enjoy when everyone else is taken care of, then resume hostess'ing with zeal! Exercise on Saturday will consist of a thorough house clean, that should burn a few calories, the house hasn't had that much attention since I went back working 5 days (shamefully didn't receive that much before either😳)

IMustEatMoreVeg · 17/12/2015 08:38

Another little drop here to 10st 2 and 7/8.

Not2bObvious · 17/12/2015 18:12

It's amazing the way you're just dropping down imust. Very encouraging. Good day so far as soo busy, dinner is light enough and I'm starving for it! Weigh in tomorrow, hoping there's no gain

Emz449 · 17/12/2015 19:53

Well done imust close to the 9's!

This week is going to be seriously challenging.... Today there was a team meeting with lots of chocolate and lunch, saturday i'm off to see uni friends in Leicester for the evening so there will be lots of drinks consumed! Monday there's a work christmas party, tuesday a work lunch and wednesday another work lunch! Sigh! I'm going to have to make some good choices!

Not2bObvious · 18/12/2015 06:40

Morning all. Official weigh in done and I'm down from 11.11 to 11.10.4 - slowly inching off. So that's 1 pound off in 2 weeks, pretty unlikely I'll reach my goal of 11.8.2 by next Thursday but I would love to be 11.9'something. I'm desperate to get as far away from 12 as possible! And for once stay away from it for good. Only 2 more weigh in's to go, got to be focussed

Emz449 · 18/12/2015 11:12

Well done Not2! Slowly but surely wins the race Grin

Off to five guys tonight! Wish me luck!

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 18/12/2015 18:28

Thanks emz, hope you enjoy 5 guys, I went to one in New York last year - yummmmm. Fitted into a pair of trousers that never fitted me properly. Geometric design which is shockingly unforgiving but they look good today! Size 12 and comfy on me, I can sit in them something I wouldn't have attempted unless I wanted to put someone's else out with a flying button! Off out to dinner now, starting to feel hungry, looking forward to a night out. Happy Friday all 😉
