Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Love the dress Simply, I adore phase eight, really flattering. On my night out, trying to keep the cocktails at an acceptable level - damn it's early yet, still haven't had dinner

SimplyMrsBlobby · 12/12/2015 00:02

Have a lovely evening. It sounds like your only just getting started!! (Have a huge smile on my face for you)

I only just recently discovered phase eight, i have to shop where I can get the size and dresses that's are not to 'loud' m&s, jlewis, newlook, house of Fraser, Peacocks and boden go to 20 easily and the 18 at Hobbs aren't too bad sometimes.

Down side of being so fat dresses are normally v frumpy and mumsy!

Desperately after a gold/metallic pair of shoes and can't find any.

I really liked a pair (pic attached) but they were sold out in my size so been trawling the Internet. Need to feel comfortable to fat to wear stilettos and be on my feet all day.

Thanks Simply, just home now (the shame! Only kidding great night) I'm 41 so I hear you, but there's no need for mumsy, we can rock chic no problem. To answer your question, absolutely yes, you can compensate for high cal day with a low cal day - aka soup day. I pride you if you keep to the 1500 or so averaged out, you will drop a pound every week or so but weight loss isn't linear, the scales doesn't know it's been a week. It will balance out but big big tip, you have to change your environment, I don't mean rice cakes all the way, but less processed foods. Real food just not too much, we're here to help, use us 😉

Not2bObvious · 12/12/2015 03:12

Promise not pride - jeez this phone is a b*tch!

Not2bObvious · 12/12/2015 09:15

Omfg, I just input everything I ate/drank yesterday - over 3000! And I swear I didn't over eat, ok over drank. Jeez, dieting and partying are not friends.
I do not feel very well today - and that would be the understatement of the century 😁 Toast and tea in already, i think I need to go back to bed....

MrsDLH · 12/12/2015 09:50

Can't believe you're up, not2! I had to get up and out at stupid o'clock as DD has a trip with Rainbows, I'm hoping to not have to go out again today! Had a giant pizza last night, felt crappy after it though!

SimplyMrsBlobby · 12/12/2015 09:52

Thanks not2obvious. You sound like you were rocking it!!😄

So far I have been on the mfp for 3 days (including) today (still to go) and have kept to the target only once ... Still early days I'm sure there will be days when I probably will x3/x4 my allowance.

Spoke to a friend of mine and she was on mfp and she lost 2.7 stones in 6 months, she looks v skinny now very tall girl and I don't think she needed it. So I know this thing works. It's just a case of sticking it out for the next few years.

Into block colours for clothing don't like too fussy- draws too much attention to my lumpiness.
Mrs Blobby.

Not2,
Sooooo pleased someone my age. I was 41 a few days ago.

I looked at your time stamp wow!!!good for you, you'd put some teenagers to shame!😄
You deserve a lie in after that!!:)

I thinks I'm older than u and a hermit I love being tucked up in bed and enjoy being left alone with a book and plenty of pizza and Coke! Course the food bits not going to happen....😉

How does mfp know I have burnt calories?...(hubby dragged me to gym today first time in donkeys years for twenty mins on stepper) does it mean I get to eat more and if I don't I lose extra weight ?

Not2bObvious · 12/12/2015 10:37

I was up at 8.15 mrs, never sleep properly after drinking 😞 My toes/feet are aching after walking around/dancing accidentally crashed another works party do for an hour I'm back in bed but no hope of sleep, just willing away the hours til I can get a Chinese 😬
I think this is going to be a lost weekend, and I feel powerless to stop it, I wish someone would sedate me so I could sleep through the munchies

MrsDLH · 12/12/2015 11:49

Whenever I have a hangover, I wish I could be hooked up to an intravenous drip and be left alone for 3 days Xmas Blush

Simply I don't log exercise but use it for a buffer in case I underestimate calories/food on mfp. I do use my fitbit (steps) calories sometimes if I'm having a bad day.

Today is my official diet day off...a bit laughable because every day is a day off at the moment! Planning a few good days Sunday to Tuesday to aid temporary maintenance. Bit miserable today... [Brolly icon]

SimplyMrsBlobby · 12/12/2015 13:46

Thanks for answering Mrsdhl. The thing is I didn't add it on to my mfp it must have some kind of movement sensor thing going on.

Sitting in jlewis trying to get work done while everyone is having delicious smelling lunch. I'm reduced to a bottle of water!!
Already had one of those vegetable goyza dumpling things from eat a whopping 400+ calories and still feel hungry. Saving my self for the evening.

Not2,
Hope you have a nice evening with your Chinese! And get some sleep hubby was telling me that not sleeping properly contributes to obesity... I can never get to sleep properly mind always wondering so secretly play on bubble shooter till I get tired.

Not2bObvious · 12/12/2015 16:53

Struggling on here, very proud to say in managed to control the eating and have only done around 640. I've decided not to have Chinese, I bought a few nice Indian things in m&s yesterday (v pleased with my planning) and I reckon I can bring the day in under 1500. The fact I'm only having a tiny chocolate once a day and can't have any more may be my saviour. Oh my head though, it's aching. Time for my hydration...

SimplyMrsBlobby · 12/12/2015 18:11

Sorry ladies I didn't post the same message x3, some gremlin at work.

MFP to lose weight - Part 3
SimplyMrsBlobby · 12/12/2015 18:21

Not2,

1500 is amazing. That's my lot for the whole day.

Indian sounds good and warming, and I'm sure the tumeric for the colds and joints this time of year will be excellent and it turns out that chilli is know for burning fat and cancer cells.

I have realised that I eat a lot (junk food) now I have been jotting it
down on mfp.

Going to try and sleep early tonight. So no gaming!

Mrs Blobby.

Not2bObvious · 12/12/2015 18:36

Wow simply, you look hard at work, fair play. That's the great thing about mfp, it opens your eyes to how much you can snaffle in snacks (I used to regularly run to 1000 on weekends, 500 during the week 😕)
Having a very small glass of wine by the Xmas tree while waiting for dd1 to get home from activity, dd2 watching scooby do in her pj's, she basically just got dressed into clean ones this morning, she's delighted with herself. She's so low maintenance bad parenting at its best

SimplyMrsBlobby · 12/12/2015 19:25

I don't think thats bad parenting. Children need relaxation time to just switch off too. And I don't as a whole promote tv watching 40h a week but who didn't want to be velma or daphne when growing up?? I think it lets children explore mystery and suspense in a safe environment and delve into others interpretation of events or it can be just seen as pure entertainment!

Enjoy it and cuddle up. I wish mine were that small. My work didn't last long I got to jlewis and twenty mins later got told had to come home as child no3 had locked them self out. So hubby and I packed up and headed home. And still waiting to hear from child no2, don't know where that ones got too! At least I know no1 is in Scotland somewhere!! 😃 Too cold to go out tonight I got told!! ....

I have 400 cals left for tonight but feel scared to eat... As they were gained through excercise. I feel obsessed with food! When I wasn't watching my eating I couldn't care-less. But know it feels like it's my first and last thought!
I know "sad woman".

MFP to lose weight - Part 3
IMustEatMoreVeg · 13/12/2015 00:10

Simply - it NEEDS to be your first and last thought at the moment while you are losing weight. It is all the mindless eating that got us all to overweight. Mindful eating and awareness of what we are putting in our mouths is getting us to slim.

Not - glad you managed to come in at 1500 without a takeaway. Good planning is all!

MRSDLH - maintainance is okay for December I'm sure. I nearly always eat my fit bit calories.

I have drunk way more calories than I have eaten today but not too far over target I think. I wore a dress today that had room to spare. I think I tried it on in October and was thrilled that it fastened up. So definitely have made progress!!

Not2bObvious · 13/12/2015 07:19

Morning all. Didn't quite manage to stick to 1500, just a shade over 1700 but I'm good with that.
Wise words imust, if you want to drop some weight (and no matter what plan you follow) you have to be concious of what's going in. If you're not, like I wasn't, I wake up one morning and the scales awarded me the lovely surprise of 2 stone on in 6 months - I took my eye off the ball😞 and then must have ate it too, cause I ate everything else And it's been hard to lose it, I'm nearly a year getting rid of the 1st stone, which was down to me not accepting what I had to do. You can't get away with eating too much consistently, you can get away with 1 day of excess a week - that's it. It's a btch but then as I keep noticing, lots of things are a btch in a woman's world (not intended to upset any men mfp'ers which I don't think we have)

Not2bObvious · 13/12/2015 07:22

Ooh and big kudos Imust on the dress, that's a feeling food don't give you! My dress (even if I say so myself - preening...) was the bomb on Friday. I thought I was a super model, ok a very short one but still. I'd say you were gorgeous!

JontyDoggle37 · 13/12/2015 07:29

Morning all, sorry for being AWOL. Decided to take a couple of days off diet, my blood sugar was all over the show and I really wasn't feeling well. I think I over-pressured myself a bit, tried one too many soup days and body just can't operate on less than 1300 calories, with everything I do in a day and the lack of sleep in having at the moment. I still haven't had wine, but I did have some whole meal bread as my baby son is starting on toast, and discovered even whole meal makes me feel ill! STEP AWAY FROM THE BREAD. Anyway, I'm going to try and re-set myself, with less pressure, because how I was doing it before December has worked really well for the last five months. Having dinner out with DH tonight but we'll be going to Prezzo or Pizza Express where there are good low calorie options. Photoshoot for my business this morning provided the bloody rain stops, so got to get going!

SimplyMrsBlobby · 13/12/2015 20:37

Oh the pain! Oh the pain! All day been watching the mfp counter.

Shouldn't have worried about not eating the 400 left over calories, I ended the night x3 that over after hubby walked in with takeout.🙄

It's much harder not stuffing, cause it just happens to be there. (Bordem eating?)

Thinking ahead trivial pursuit night (26th) going to be a killer....! Might have to eat late maybe that might work ? Any ideas gals ??

I'm shocked since Thursday (when started mfp) only managed two days on track ....😟 Must try harder.

Mrs Blobby

Not2bObvious · 13/12/2015 22:21

Does your husband know you're trying to lose weight simply? There's nothing wrong with a takeaway occasionally, but if you're just starting into a weight loss plan then you might need to resist a bit. So you've had 2 days of keeping to 1500'ish - tomorrow's the start of a new week. Don't be too concerned about the 26th, if you get your head in gear you'll have had nearly 2 weeks of getting used to less food and it could make it easier.
I had a fair bit today, out for lunch and had 3 drinks. And a pizza. I feel bleurgh, really seedy. Combo of too much carbs/2 wine/1 cocktail. Soup day tomorrow will get me back on track. Heads hopping now.
Jonty, hope today went great. V pleased to hear you're not being as strict as you had been - there really wasn't a need, you have been doing so well. Night all

Hello everyone, guess who's back! Had an amazing time with my boyfriend and seeing Peru and Bolivia was fantastic. It was such an experience and I loved every moment of it.

The only unfortunate incidents were the altitude sickness and also three days before we left we both caught savage food poisoning. Honestly, it was the worst experience of my life. Vomiting blood and the whole works. Mine was slightly worse then my boyfriends who was amazing. He called out a doctor to the hotel room who hooked me up to an IV for some much needed rehydration, it was quite scary actually. I couldn't eat for the few days and even now it's a struggle! If I haven't lost weight I'll be most unimpressed Grin All joking aside I can't wait to feel normal again. Guess what was the culprit? PIZZA! I don't think that I'll be able to eat it again for while now. The thought of it makes me feel a bit ill!

Back to work on Tuesday, tomorrow will be running errands and doing some Christmas shopping. I'm not sure what I'll be able to eat but I'm thinking of trying to have some poached eggs on toast before heading out

Lovely to see everyone is doing great and welcome to the new people, apologies for not name checking, I'm typing this on my phone. I'll be weighing myself on Wednesday when I get my scales back, im praying it's not a gain!
