I managed to, not u, dear God!

Best of luck with your interview Jonty and fantastic loss for October. I understand the sadness at having to face the fact wine isn't your friend. If even 1 glass kills you then you have to break up. I'm just recovered from a horrific hangover although it was closer to 1 bottle and then 3 other drinks - so I earned it. Thanking God I feel better, although still not 100%.
I've had the worst week of binging and I'm so annoyed with myself. It was Totm and my cravings were off the chart. Mfp? Mf who? Couldn't bear to list it all down. I was like a woman possessed. I managed a few moments of control but not enough that I'm not going to be in major trouble with the scales. I'll probably just see the bloat initially but I'm definately on course for a substantial gain. Argggg, damn you food addiction. I want to get back on the wagon, I just wish it didn't feel so hard Sad Sorry for the me me me this early on a Sunday. Going to go backfill mfp as punishment

IMustEatMoreVeg · 01/11/2015 09:13

Hello, just checking in for November. I am on 11st 3 and a half today. My goal for this month is to lose 3lb and 5/8 so that my weight starts with a 10.

October has been okay overall. I have lost 7lb even though I was on holiday for a bit. I am just stalled at the moment but hopefully I will be moving downwards soon.

Jonty glad you are having a whoosh. It feels great, doesn't it?!

Not2 be - keep reading the thread. I find it motivates me to keep going.

Bathsheba3 · 01/11/2015 09:56

Imust - that is amazing! Brilliant. And you too Jonty. Yes, good luck for interview. You "sound" very positive, and seem so organised & determined with life that I'm sure you will nail it.

Today I'm 11 st 11.

November goals:

  • to log into MFP everyday not just good days
  • to stick with 1200 cals every day
  • to get outdoors and exercise
  • to have a positive attitude
  • to loose 12 lbs in 6 weeks (is that realistic?)
  • to buy some really nice jeans as my xmas present mid-Dec
  • to be happy
IMustEatMoreVeg · 01/11/2015 11:57

Bath -those are lovely goals.I think if you are really on it then you can lose the 12lb.

My goals are:

  • get to 10st something
  • buy new bras
  • do some exercise outside
  • go see the Dr about being low and tired
  • sort my grooming out
  • drink more water

I was just looking back at an old diet thread I was on last September. I thought I was 11st 3 then but I had misremembered. I was actually 12st 3 !! So I am a stone lighter now than last year Smile

Loungingbutnotforlong · 01/11/2015 16:57

Hi everyone

My November goals are:

-Shake off the half term bad habits and get back to using my calories for good, healthy food

  • shake off this cold and finish the last three weeks of c25k programme
  • lose 7lbs
  • buy celebratory 'smoky eyeshadow' and nice dress for Christmas Smile
Good luck everyone- only 7.5 weeks to Christmas Shock Grin
Not2bObvious · 01/11/2015 17:04

I love reading people's goals, so encouraging. I'm back in the zone even if I did just eat an afternoon tea that probably hit 1000 cals - it was postponed from last weekend and was a mother/daughter outing (eldest one wants to start a new tradition excluding her annoying little sister!) so I couldn't go and not eat anything. The gas thing was I honestly didn't make a pig of myself, but between tasting bits and creamy stuff I estimated 1000+. But on the upside I did a run before going out and I've no plans to eat much more tonight, and definately off the alcohol until next Thursday or Friday. My goals for this week is plenty of water, good clean food and sticking to under 1500 a day, and 3-4 exercise sessions. Let's make it happenWink

Emz449 · 01/11/2015 17:57

Hideous hangover! Too many shots and calories consumed, normal service will resume tomorrow ordering Chinese

Emz449 · 01/11/2015 17:57

Very inspiring reading your goals! For me I'm just going to try and lose as much as I can in the time before my holiday Smile

I fell off the thread...was swallowed by half term madness! Goals sound fab, very inspiring. Well done to everyone who has lost...which is mostly everyone!

With the exception of Thursday, I was within goal of 1200 (including 2 days of 1000 calories) and even Thursday was covered by my step calories and I enjoyed a 3 course lunch out Grin I was rewarded by a loss of 3lb...2lb was the pesky gain from last week though. I'm now at 11st 2 (or was!) and Im having to turn down the waistband of my work trousers because theyre so big so going order some 12s....exciting!

Obviously, had my Saturday...ahem...refeed... of circa 2000 cals but not expecting too much damage.

November goals:

  • Get to 10 something on the scales
  • Buy size 12s and fit into them
  • Carry on drinking 2350 ml of water each day (would recommend water your body app)
  • Finish Christmas shopping
  • Only eat bread at the weekend

Happy November!

Tryingno1 · 01/11/2015 18:55

Been off the wagon but back on. Great goals people and well done to all of those who have behaved and had rewards !
Not2-come back when ur ready! I've been terrible all week but somehow managed to climb back on today. Will weigh tmrw as haven't done since my stupid gain on wed.

Goals for Nov
-none of this starving myself. It causes binges. I must be patient
-so that means 1100 every day except one day a week when I go out
-this will lead to a steady one-2 pound loss a week
-meaning I will be 10st 8/9 by end of month

  • a handful of nuts every day
-come on here when I want to binge!
Bathsheba3 · 01/11/2015 19:36

Finish Christmas Shopping MrsDLH? OMG. And a 3 lb loss. Super mum Grin

SmillasSenseOfSnow · 01/11/2015 19:45

I've barely slept the last few days so I haven't weighed myself recently (been out before the crack of dawn and I always weigh more if I've barely slept, guess I don't dehydrate the regular amount or something due to fewer hours in bed??). Will weigh myself tomorrow and get firmly back on the wagon.

Going to visit family at the end of this month and want to have lost as much as possible by then (mainly so I can maybe pick up some new clothes while I'm there). I could do with getting out and going for walks a little more often. Got a fairly stressful exam coming up before the end of the month so I'm just hoping I don't go completely crazy.

JontyDoggle37 · 01/11/2015 21:04

I think the only goal i'm setting myself for November is my weight loss one. I have so much else on I don't have the time or head space to think about any other behavioural change. Oh, hang on, sticking to my new 'no wine' rule, that's a goal!

JontyDoggle37 · 02/11/2015 06:03

Morning. No loss here today. Difficult day calories wise as lunch out in London and then dinner at friends tonight. Will just try to make good choices where possible, and have a soup day tomorrow. Need to lose 2lbs this week to stay on target, feeling very focuses though and all menus are planned so I have high hopes!

psychotropic · 02/11/2015 11:17

Hello! I'm pleased to report a definite loss of just over 5lbs for October! I think it's finally working for me, I just shoot for my net intake of the amount mfp set (1820) and sometimes it's over by miles and sometimes a little under but it is definitely working! My weight is around 142 now where it was anything from 147 to 152 four weeks ago.

Not2bObvious · 02/11/2015 13:12

Well done pyscho, that's excellent!
I didn't think I'd be brave enough for a weigh in after my epic 5 day pig out but I decided I needed to woman up. I am delighted and also a bit Hmm to see I'm the same weight I was at my last weigh in on the 23rd. Hoping it doesn't show up later! Starting November at 12.4.2 and I'm giving myself a goal of 5 pounds. Feel v positive, went for a quick run this morning after the good news, going for a brisk walk now Grin

Emz449 · 02/11/2015 17:40

Well done psycho! Well i was 3 pounds up this morning, not surprising given the food eaten and drinks drunk, today hasn't been great either probably due to tiredness! Back on it tomorrow. Made meals for the next three days so all sorted. Going to smash it

Hope everyone else is well!

OP posts:
IMustEatMoreVeg · 02/11/2015 17:58

Yay Emz that's the spirit. I want to smash it this week too. I have a lot of soup.

Psycho - my weight ranges like that too but the range is getting lower each month!

I had to get weighed today for an appointment and stepped on the scales happily in my boots knowing that I would still be comfortably inside healthy bmi

JontyDoggle37 · 03/11/2015 07:29

0.75lbs up here, but after the last two days that's no surprise. Aiming for around 1,000 cals today and again tomorrow to make up! Interview went well i think, should get feedback today.

MajesticWhine · 03/11/2015 07:52

I weighed in at 9.8.6 this morning which is down slightly.. Aims for the month: stabilise around 9.7 and work on body fat percentage which is currently 32%.

Not2bObvious · 03/11/2015 08:01

Down .4 to 12.3.8 - just finished an hour long workout so a good start to the day. Came in at 1400 yesterday, aiming for similar today, aim is not to eat after dinner. 1 day in the bag

Emz449 · 03/11/2015 09:44

Morning all, congrats to those who have lost and hope you hear some good feedback from your interview Jonty!

I've decided that starting from Sunday I'm going to do a vlcd for two weeks, I've ordered the products and they should arrive tomorrow but with my sister and friend arriving on Friday thought it would be better to start after. Its something I've been thinking about for a while and I just don't think I'm going to be happy with how I look by the time I go away and also with this weekends gain and potentially gaining after this coming weekend I want something that I'll see results with quickly! I think that having something that's very strict and regimented will help with my weight stalling

OP posts:
MrsDLH · 03/11/2015 14:46

Thanks bath although more "can't relax until it's done" rather than super!

Fingers crossed Jonty re interview outcome

That's hardcore, Emz!! But I understand why you'd want to do it. And you can survive on low calories as you've proved on your soup days. Will it be shakes and bars like the Cambridge diet?

Well done, losers (where else would that be a complement?!). I was 11st 3 this morning so looking good for a loss this week. Aiming for around 1000 today. Did 1200 yesterday. Whoop whoop, we can do this!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 03/11/2015 15:36

Emz - I think that is a really good idea if you feel like you want to do it. A quick boost will make you feel amazing and the fact that it is just for 2 weeks will make it easier to stick to. What brand did you go for
