Morning all

imust well done on breaking through the stall, must feel good

emz I hope this weekend sees the return of the 10's. you deserve it!
jonty you are so near your sept target now, great news

I have lost 2lbs since monday, putting me on 11 lb loss since diet restart on 31st aug.

Good luck all

Not2bObvious · 25/09/2015 10:03

Happy Friday all. Shocking nights sleep with sick child, exhausted. Weight still showing as 12.0.4 so I'm making that my official start weight. Nobody shoot me but its 3 months to Xmas today, I'm setting myself the target of 21lbs loss. Bringing me to around 10.7, I can't ever remember being that.
Emz I think staying at 11 for a few days is great, for me it would mean I really was that weight, not a dodgy scales or dehydration. I have bounced up/down so much the last couple of months I would be totally thrilled if I was still the same on Monday. I'll have to treat the next 2 days as normal not food free for all! Best of luck all

Morning all

imust well done on breaking through the stall
emz hope the 10's come back this weekend

jonty you are so near your sept goal, you have done really well.

I have lost 2lbs since Monday putting me on an 11lb loss since 31st aug when I restarted diet. Pretty delighted with that to be honest. 2 stone 4lbs down this year so far.

Good luck all

Emz449 · 25/09/2015 10:15

I guess that's true not2, it's just a bit frustrating when I've been at 1200 for most of week or not feeling very well. I suppose I have to think that it could have been worse after going out on wednesday, Thursday and Saturday last week. I'm usually quite a few pounds up after something like that! I'm fairly confident I should be in the 10's tomorrow or Sunday. The weekends always gives me the best weight loss. I'm just inpatient to get firmly into the 10 stone bracket, like 10st 10 or something, just so I know that I won't bounce straight out of it if I have a big meal Grin

Well done imust! That's amazing, what did you have on your fast day?

11lbs in a month is amazing irishe, you must be so happy.

Oh and congrats irishe, Imust and jonty - great losses! Inspirational Wink

Emz449 · 25/09/2015 10:16

jonty I bet you lose more then your September target, good luck!

MajesticWhine · 25/09/2015 10:21

Hi everyone and well done on the losses. I have nothing to report - have not been spectacularly good, nights out and weekends still a bit of a challenge, so just hoping to stay the same by Monday or maybe sneak a 1lb loss.

irishe · 25/09/2015 10:46

Oops thought I had lost my earlier post and reposted!

Morning not2. Sorry to hear you have a poorly child, wishing them a speedy recovery. Be kind to yourself today, I find tiredness lowers my motivation.

That sounds like a good goal for Xmas, good luck with it!

Not2bObvious · 25/09/2015 11:53

Thanks irishe, cause she's sick I missed my bootcamp this morning and my 4 mile walk. And 3 haribo and 2 squares of chocolate fell out of the press and into my mouth! So odd.... Wink I'm having soup for lunch as she fancied that so that'll straighten the nibbling out. Pottering about as have no energy for anything else and even if I did there's a little person snoozing in the middle of the floor, doubt she'd be too impressed if I turned of Disney and turned on Jillian!'poor child would be scared out of her wits and me too

irishe · 25/09/2015 12:49

Ha, I always say I was ambushed by some armed chocolate and had no option but to concede to their demands to be eaten!

I have just dropped my little person into nursery. I have an atrociously sore throat, so some downtime on the sofa is on the cards.

Take it easy.

Emz449 · 25/09/2015 21:49

Hope you're feeling better irishe and your daughter too Not2 It is lurgy central in my office at the moment, i'm popping vitamin c and multi it tablets like a mad woman so i don't get ill! I cannot believe it is October in less then a week! Where has this month gone?! Currently 5 lbs down from the start of the month which is good, would be nice to see a few more lbs disappear before next week.

Had my steak tonight and it was incredible, absolutely massive though, probably too big, still made sure i finished it though Grin

Bloody work had not one but two birthdays today! Cakes and biscuits galore, i would love to know who decided that when it's your birthday you have to bring cakes in Hmm

It's 2 months to go until holiday time on Sunday, huzzah! Just a pre warning.... i was be ridiculous on the lead up to going away, i'm already incredibly excited. I'd like to lose a stone and maybe a couple of lbs so that i'll be in the 9's Shock I can't believe i'm saying that i will be in the 9 stone bracket!! I can see it happening too, it's going to be such a nice feeling.

Next week is low carb week, protein and veg/salad, try and shift a few more pounds before the month is out!

Hope everyone has a good weekend

JontyDoggle37 · 26/09/2015 06:19

Morning all, another pound down here, so 11st 4.25, and half a pound away from September target. I really want to hit my goal of 10 stone by end of November, which means October and November I'll need to lose 9lbs each month, which is quite a challenge! Going to see if I can shift a bit more before Thursday to give me a head start, although I'm away for 3 days but hopefully only one meal out and all the rest in the motor home so I can govern what I eat.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 26/09/2015 07:45

Well done Jonty. 9lb per month! That would be marvellous Smile

Emz glad you enjoyed your steak. I love the idea of you shrinking quietly for weeks between seeing your boyfriend. I would love to be able to surprise my DH with lbs of weight loss but I see him every day!

I was out for dinner last night and it was truly amazing. Fish rather than meat so perhaps a little less calorific than it might have been. But there was dessert and cheese involved and a whole lot of wine. It was at a friend's house so it felt rude to decline any of it. Never mind. Onwards and downward.

I think realistically I will have lost around 6lb in September. My current loss is 5 and 3/4 lb. I was aiming for 7lb but I have been sticking to plan pretty well. Last night was my first time going over calories in absolutely ages.

In October I have lots of social things booked so it might be more difficult. Also I will be unable to use my scales for a few weeks so I won't know where I am. Argh!

Not2bObvious · 26/09/2015 08:18

It looks like the 2 squares of choc/jellies were the the first steps on the road to damnation. I went on a bit of a munchfest, hit around 2100 Cals Blush But I think I'm going to allow myself 1 day of excess a week. I'm book in for an interval class shortly, I'm quite sure I can keep to 1200 today so that should balance it all out. Slightly nervous about the class as I normally do bootcamp so not sure what to expect. 2 weeks to my holiday and my goal is to have lost 3 pound by then.
Well done jonty on your losses, you're so close to getting into the 10's - I cannot wait to see 10 something on my scales. I honestly can't remember when I was 10 anything. I remember being 9.4 at 19 and then 11.2 at 23 and then up & up for years. Meeting my husband was my figure ruination! When you're 5ft 4" you really should eat like you're 6ft 2", pity I didn't get that 18 years ago!! Anyway such is life. Hope you've all got a lovely day planned Wink

Emz449 · 26/09/2015 12:26

Well done Jonty

10 St 13 here today hurrah!

Should be a low calorie day, haven't actually eaten day so going to combine breakfast and lunch Grin

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 26/09/2015 13:25

Hurrah Emz, at last you're there Grin I didn't have breakfast til 11.45, I was thinking I might last until dinner...hmm we'll see.
Class done, big walk done, housework done (as done as it's going to be!) Time to sit in the sun and kick back - might even have a nap this avo, the things that excite me eh?

Emz449 · 26/09/2015 14:09

you can't go wrong with a nap not2 I ended up eating at about half 1, had to pop to the shops to buy supplies, poached eggs and beans on toast, was lovely! So i'll last until dinner hopefully!

Thank you, i'd like to maybe drop another pound tomorrow or more, i'd like to get settled into the 10's before a meal out next weekend which will be ridiculous. The restaurant only sells ribs/burgers so not a lot of options there, it'll be great, but not calorie wise!

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 26/09/2015 14:15

Burger without the bun is my trick for places like that and if I feel that's a bit too picky, I take the top off and eat the burger and bottom half of bun with a knife and fork (well I'd eat the naked burger with knife and fork too...jeez) Or same idea picking a chicken burger. Unless it's something I really really want then I'm over other people's restaurant choices putting paid to a weeks work. Gosh no wonder I don't get out often Hmm

Emz449 · 26/09/2015 16:00

Yeah I'll probably try and avoid carby foods, will just see how it goes though and probably won't eat much during the day to compensate!

OP posts:
irishe · 26/09/2015 17:04

Hello all

Congrats emz the 10's have arrived!
Well done jonty and imust on your continuing losses.
not2, it is amazing how a small slip can turn into an avalanche. I was feeling so sorry for myself last night with this horrendous sore throat I wolfed down a packet of my child's chocolate buttons. Oh the shame!

The scales showed another pound loss for me today but it doesn't feel real as I am not eating properly due to throat infection. Just going to wait for Monday weigh in before banking any further losses.

Good luck with the rest of the weekend guys.

willbeslimagain · 27/09/2015 06:48

Hi ladies, well done on all your losses!!!

I have had a bad month and really have an emotional eating problem, one slip up and I spectacularly dive off the wagon eating family bars of chocolate etc, feeling so ashamed and fed up right now as didn't fit into the dress I wanted to for a wedding. I'm really trying hard with my exercise, HIT jillian level 3 etc, just need to get back in the zone with my eating.

Anyway new start yesterday, did 900 cal day to kick start my getting back on it. Will aim to lose as much as I can before October then I'm up for an October challenge too, 1lb/week loss for me.

Need to lose this weight before my maternity leave ends!!! Will post more regularly again so please all give me a slap if I go astray again, no excuses as I don't have much to lose and making a mission of it!

Happy Sunday all! Xx

IMustEatMoreVeg · 27/09/2015 09:49

How much do you have to go, Willbe?

I also feel like I am making a bit of a meal of these few pounds I am losing at the moment. Although I am not that close to goal I think it is very common to lose momentum. There is a whole thread somewhere in this topic about posters who are close to their goal weight and can't quite get there!

I think your 900 day will be a good kickstart. I had a 500 day the other day to break a stall and now I seem to be on the way down again. Just 1/4lb to lose to make my 7lb goal for September Smile

Purpleknickers · 27/09/2015 10:25

Morning all

Well done Jonty, Emz and Irishe on your losses

Not2 I hope your daughter is better now?

Pleased to report a 1.1lb loss here so I'm 11st 4.9lb. You are pipping me Jonty Grin

You will get there imust but it must be very frustrating when it's so close and eludes you grrrr

I go on holiday in 2 weeks and although I would like to go to sleep tonight and wake up 11lb lighter that isn't going to happen so I'm setting myself the target of being 11st 3lb when I go and I will try to be good when I am away, in my head I will be swimming and walking every day and joining in aqua aerobics, in reality it may be very different but I will try

Have a good day all, I am going out for a 10 mile walk with my friend , our normal pattern of behaviour is lots of wine and lunch out with dessert, so this is going to be a culture shock, home cooked healthy food and just one bottle of wine between us (counted in) .. Wish me luck Smile

psychotropic · 27/09/2015 11:01

Hello everyone is it ok to join your thread? I've set up MFP to help me lose half a pound a week but do I need to upgrade it to premium or will the free one work just as well? What do you do when someone else cooks for you, do you guesstimate ingredients and portion size or can you add a rough amount of calories solely for that meal? Thankyou!

Not2bObvious · 27/09/2015 11:03

Morning all. My dd is great now, thanks for asking Purple she needed a dose of anti-b's which have knocked the infection on the head. Well done on your loss!! likr you I'm on my 2 week countdown. I was 12.0.4 Thursday & Friday, and 12.0.8 yesterday and today. It's been a piggy weekend but in comparison to weekends of the past, not that bad. I'd have easily hit 3000-3500 before, the last 2 days have been 2000-2200 which is on a par with what I'm burning so while I won't lose, I won't gain either (that's the theory) Cancelled plans for a meal out due to calorie and finance budget, with going away in 2 weeks much better to save what we'd spend here for a night out away.
Glad you're feeling back on track willbe, that's the biggest step to draw a line under it, step over the line and away from the goodies Grin
Right, up and at them, time for a jog walk so I can buy a nice lunch in M&S to go with my wine this avo Wink
