Thanks emz, you are on the ball!
Hope you are recovered from your stomach bug.

Emz449 · 22/09/2015 21:50

No worries, I feel better so I'm back to work tomorrow, would rather not Grin

Quite strange actually, my boyfriends been feeling ill over the last few days too, bit of a coincidence. I think he's feeling quite lonely over there now, obviously the place is amazing and it's beautiful but the work he's doing is quite repetitive. He hasn't been able to make any proper friends either as the majority of people are tourists so they come and go. I'm sure he's just feeling worse because he's ill but I hate hearing that he's so down Sad 2 months to go!

I've had pasta for dinner tonight and it was fantastic! Back to business tomorrow. I might give into a few of my cravings at the weekend though.... specially a jacket potato with cheese and beans and also rump steak with sweet potato chips drools I haven't had red meat in forever. It's all within my calories though, I've pre planned it well.

Hope the others come to join us soon!

Here I am. I am stalled on the same lb for the last 8 days. But I have been sticking to my 1200 really carefully and hoping for a drop soon. I think I have lost some inches because my clothes feel looser although I don't measure myself.

I also tried on some old trousers this morning and was gratified to find that they are Far Too Big now! They fitted fine in June Grin

Emz449 · 23/09/2015 11:06

Oh that's great Imust, congrats!

Back at work today, manic! The scales still said 11 stone this morning, hoping for a drop soon considering I haven't been able to eat much. There's still the same horrible feeling in my stomach though; I wish it would bugger off now!

Morning all

emz I like the way you are planning for treats! I might try that, rather than having them and just hoping they have no impact. A life without treats is hard going.

imust well done on sticking with your cals despite the stall. I find this difficult myself. I need the motivation of the scales moving downwards. I wish I had taken my measurements at the start. That's great that your old trousers are too big now, must feel very gratifying.

I have not lost any weight yet this week, despite sticking to my cals. I am currently drinking a cup of tea, in order to stop me munching!

Emz449 · 23/09/2015 19:38

Ah yes i have to factor in the good things otherwise i'm miserable! I'm good about 90% of the time but either on a Friday or a Saturday i factor in some sort of meal i really want. So after work today i did my food shop and bought a 10oz steak, if i'm going to do it, i'm going to do it properly Grin Also some sweet potato, very excited!

Hope everyone is having a good day and week. I hope the scales get a wiggle on, it would be nice to be firmly in the 10's. On the 27th it's exactly 2 months until i see my boyfriend, i'd like to lose another stone by that time. I think that i might actually come back from the holiday weighing less because we'll be doing lots of treks and exploring, the food is generally fairly healthy in south america too, mainly rice and protein and lots of fruit!

Marking place, I wondered where everyone had gone in the other thread until I realised it was full!

irishe · 23/09/2015 21:51

Glad you found us jonty.

emz your holiday to South America sounds amazing. What a motivation to stay on track.
I am motivated by looking better but mostly I want to feel better. It is so tiring lugging all this weight around!

Well I have been starving all day, so hungry I felt queasy at one point. This meant I had more snacks than normal so went over by 40 cals today. Ah well, better that than passing out from hunger!

Hope you all had a good day.

Not2bObvious · 24/09/2015 06:22

Can I join in please? I've been following your progress emz and it's been really encouraging, you've done so well. I've used mfp for around 3 years now but have never tried to stick to 1200 for any length of time. I have a holiday in just over 2 weeks so I'm going to aim to stick as close to the limit as possible. I'll do my morning WI shortly so I have an official start weight. I've dropped a bit this week already. Over the last 3 days I've done good, saved a few Cals for a midweek treat of a glass
(or more honestly 2Blush) of wine and a few peanuts.
Would love to have similar success to you! Hope the scales drops below 11 for you really soonSmile

JontyDoggle37 · 24/09/2015 08:31

Morning all. Still no loss here but to be honest don't really deserve it, hVe not been properly tracking the last few days which definitely means a few extras have slipped in! Tracking today, and working out meal plan for next week as well, so that should help.

Purpleknickers · 24/09/2015 08:48

Morning everyone, Hi Not2

I have not weighed since Sunday but still being good and working out loads, tired today though so gave 30 day shred a swerve, decided I needed a day off it today. I hope I don't regret that when it comes to the scales on Sunday, currently at 11st 7lb and I would like to lose at least 1lb. Went out to dinner last night but the food portions were so small I'm pretty sure it did not sabotage things, I'm out tonight and tomorrow night too so I must be very careful with my choices. It's a minefield but I dont want to just stay in all the time eating salads

I hope everyone else is doing ok Smile

Not2bObvious · 24/09/2015 08:57

Thanks for the welcome Purple, well done on the exercise. I do a fair bit between 3 bootcamp sessions a week and a lot of walking but my eating sabotaged any good it was doing.
Since Monday I've gone from 12.4.2 to 12.0.4 but I know that's the honeymoon period. Weighing in daily to keep myself in check

IMustEatMoreVeg · 24/09/2015 11:02

Argh! Still stalled on 11st 13! For over a week now. I went over by about 100cal yesterday but aside from that I have been sticking to 1200. I determined to break this stall. I am going to fast today and see if that sorts it.

Emz449 · 24/09/2015 13:43

Oh thank you Not2 and welcome! I can only apologise for my ramblings, I find this thread really good for writing down my musings, clears out my head once I write it down Smile Congrats on your loss so far, that's fab

Just went out for lunch and it was amazing, jacket potato, cheese and beans.... exactly what I have been craving for the past few days and it was great, very filling and I now need a nap at work Grin

I was still 11 stone this morning, wish it would just move now, it's irritating me because it's bang on the dot, just a little nudge in the right direction and I would be in the 10's again. It should move on Saturday after I've had a big sleep but I want it to happen now ha. I suppose I did have a very high calorie end of last week so I should feel lucky I'm only a lb off my lowest weight. Fingers crossed for a loss tomorrow!

irishe · 24/09/2015 13:49

Welcome not2 join the starving masses!

purple I agree staying in eating salad is not a recipe for happiness.

imust keep the faith. The stall will break, it has to.

Well I woke up today with a sore throat, so have been feeling a bit sorry for myself. Now of course, having eaten nothing all day due to feeling rough, I am now starving. No surprise there. I was just imagining how good some hot buttered toast would taste (my go to comfort food). So I decided to hop on scales, I honestly think if there had been no shift or god forbid a gain I would have jumped in the car and headed to the shops for my carb fix. Self sabotage being my specialist subject!

Thank The Lord of dieting, I was saved by having lost 1.5lbs since Monday hence reminding me what my real goals are, that is, lose weight, feel healthier, not short term comfort eating.

Good luck to you all.

irishe · 24/09/2015 13:51

Crossed posts emz.

Baked potato sounds yummy.

Good luck with nudging those scales downwards. It's got to come soon!

Not2bObvious · 24/09/2015 18:44

Nothing like a loss to keep you on track is there irishe - it's an awful pity a gain can't do the same thing (although it does depend on the day for me!)
I had an unexpected and very calorific lunch but I "think" I've offset it by switching my light linch into the dinner time slot, so I'm pretty much still within 1200. Bit unsure how I'll keep to those numbers over the weekend but I'm going to do my best, slipping a glass or two of vino inWink

Not2bObvious · 24/09/2015 18:45

Light lunch not linch...stupid phone

Emz449 · 24/09/2015 18:51

Hopefully there won't be any damage, usually find if I have a heavier meal at lunch time it doesn't make too much difference on the scales because its fairly early. Fingers crossed.

So my manager came back from lunch and had bought double chocolate muffins and creme eggs! Quite where she got creme eggs in September is anyone's guess. She all but forced them down my throat Hmm don't get me wrong, it was lush, but I wish i hadn't now! Tomorrow will be better.

OP posts:
irishe · 24/09/2015 19:11

Yes, not2 I had a close shave with that piece of buttery toast!

And I am just getting over that near miss and emz brings chocolate muffins and creme eggs onto our diet thread! What's a woman to do?

Think slim, think slim, think slim . . .

Emz449 · 24/09/2015 20:20

Emz449 · 25/09/2015 08:35

Still 11 stone this morning Hmm it bounced between 10,13 and 11 before settling on 11. Hoping for a loss tomorrow, please? Having a weekend on plan so hopefully it'll go well. I hope everyone has a good day

OP posts:
JontyDoggle37 · 25/09/2015 08:59

Morning all, slight drop this morning, now 11st 5.25. To hit my September target need to lose another1.5lbs by Thirsday morning! Good luck everyone for staying on track over the weekend!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 25/09/2015 09:08

Good morning. After my fast yesterday I am down a whole 2lb so I feel much more motivated now. I know lots of that is water weight as I will have burned up a lot of glycogen yesterday but at least I don't feel like scoffing the entire fridge in protest at the stall any more!

Hope everyone else who is a bit stuck gets a good loss too soon.
