Anyone else nearing goal and struggling a bit?

I've lost over 30 pounds since Feb, eating carefully and exercising more. I'm just within my healthy bmi but want to lose another 9 pounds or so to sit comfortably in the healthy range.

Obviously the weight's coming off more slowly now and that's fine but I am struggling to keep at it. I'm so close but yet so far!

Anyone in a similar situation?

Well done kinvale!

Welcome newbies :)

I'll weigh in to tomorrow

chumbler · 19/10/2015 10:36

10st 7!!!! Amazed! Thinking I'd like to get to 10st by the end of the year, that feels so so so far away though! So maybe 10st 3 by the end of next month is my next mini goal.

Hope you're all well Grin

chumbler · 19/10/2015 10:46

Or even 9st 13 and a half...

shocked that's even a possibility!

LetMeDriveTheBus · 19/10/2015 12:17

Whoop whoop chumbler! Go you! Star

I'm 9 st 13 and 3/4 pounds as of thos weekend Grin. Barely there but there all the same! Reckon 1/2 pound loss a week is sensible at this stage. If I cut down too much I end up binging. I'm still aiming to get comfortably into the 9s so I have a bit of flex. I know it might take a while.

I've got a curry with friends weds and then an indulgant weekend away with DH so maintenance will be all I'm aiming for this week I think!

Wow letmedrivethebus that's amazing news! Well done you!!

Hope you enjoy your weekend! Very similar here with some friends visiting so going to eat whatever but will try to stop eating when im full. Enjoy!!

LetMeDriveTheBus · 22/10/2015 19:16

Thanks chumbler Grin

I've done nothing but eat this week so won't be stepping back on the scales anytime soon!!

Have a great weekend!

Hi ladies. How are we all? Not a lot of exercising for me this week as I had a tummy bug and its the time of the month which makes me weight abit off so will weigh in next week. Feeling good though. Clothes feel looser. Don't think I'm changing weight as much but more changing shape if that makes sense.

Well done to all the losers haha!

CainInThePunting · 23/10/2015 18:19

Not rift and I'm no help but I'm looking forward to reaching the point where I only have a few pounds to get to healthy BMI, impressive weigh loss OP.

Would changing the time you weigh yourself help? At the moment I'm weighing myself first thing with nothing on but if I weigh myself at the end of the day fully dressed it would be a worse result.
Could that be enough to restart the motivation to lose?

Kinvale · 27/10/2015 22:08

Down to 75kg. I think it's one of these fake losses though where I jump up a little again before going back down in few more days... Hmm... Body is a weird thing!

LetMeDriveTheBus · 28/10/2015 19:32

Well done on the loss Kinvale. I'm always bamboozled by the fluctuations of the scale. Sometimes there seems to rhyme or reason for it.

After my scoffing while being away with DH it's almost been a relief to get back to normal this week. I know it will take me a couple of weeks to get back to my lowest weight, but I feel fine about that. It's just a number at the end of the day need to channel this sensible thinking when I'm feeling disheartened about not losing and want to fall face-first into a chocolate cake

I've got lunch out with a friend tomorrow and then a family event on Friday which will be a buffet I think. Need to try to eat sensibly and mindfully. Will see how that goes!!

Well done kinvale super loss!!

Enjoy your meals out letmedrivethebus I still relish in exerting portion control - it's still such a novelty as it allows me to still eat what I'd like (where I watch rest of friends and family pigging out and feel smug haha!)

I STS last weekend but mid week weigh in shows 7st 5 and a half so I hope to see that it's stayed off by the weekend :)

chumbler · 04/11/2015 06:09

7st!!!!!! Hahahahahahah

Sorry sleep deprived!! 10st 5 and a half - still really pleased with that!!

chumbler · 09/11/2015 11:41

How is everyone getting on? The Christmas season is here and is so tempting! But for the first time ever im already a bit sick of all the sweet treats!

Weighed in this morning - 10st 4 and a half Grin chuffed to bits! So still on track to see 9st something by the end of the year, whoop!

How are you all getting on?

LetMeDriveTheBus · 10/11/2015 12:31

Well done chumbler! Brilliant. You're going great shakes now!!

I've decided to stick with maintaining where I am. At least for a bit. I'm really happy with how I look and how my clothes fit. Am continuing to work on building muscle strength, trying to achieve a toned look.

chumbler · 10/11/2015 22:39

That's brilliant letmedrivethebus - hopefully I'll be joining you with sticking to a good weight by end of Dec :)

Although I did just eat an entire "sharing" bar of cadburys... Seriously, does anyone actually share them?!

LetMeDriveTheBus · 11/11/2015 20:28

You'll definitely reach that goal chumbler. You're on fire!

Ha! I'm totally with you on the chocolate front. It was my DH's birthday at the weekend. I MFP'd everything I scoffed, out of interest. It wasn't the lunch out and birthday cake that sent my calories waaaaaay over. It wasn't even the dominoes pizza for dinner. Oh no. It was the 1 and 1/2 chocolate father Christmas figures of the DC's that I secretly ate while hiding in the kitchen Blush.

Anyhoo, I'm trying to be very conscious of logging EVERYTHING......good and bad.

Hello!! Logging in for an update - I STS at 10st 4. Happy with that but baby breastfeeding much less often now so think I'll actually need to reduce my calories to reach my goal Shock Grin

And secretly eating in the kitchen - I know that well!!!!

How is everyone getting on?

LetMeDriveTheBus · 22/11/2015 18:36

Hey chumbler. Good to get an update from you Smile.

I'm good ta. Comfortably in the "9 stones something" and I'm feeling fab Grin. My aim to still be there January 2nd! Am trying to delay my festive feasting til as late as possible. Have you got a strategy?
