Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?

I think i would be better if i had someone i didn't want to let down!
hopped on the scales this morning and 10st1lb dead. I was about 9 stone last summer and want to get back down there! Currently struggling to get back below ten i keep stalling (and eating biblical quantities of pitta and hummus and galaxy bars... not at the same time)

I have a beach holiday coming up in 10 weeks so a few pounds gone by then would be great!!
Anyone up for buddying up with a food dairy and telling me off?

Can I join? I currently weigh a whopping 12st 7lbs and want to lose a stone. I go out walking every morning with DD in her buggy usually for at least 1 hour and also do exercise DVDs when I get the chance.

I've lost 4 lbs in 2 weeks so I'm feeling motivated and confident that I'm going to get my body back into shape!

The only 'bad' thing I've eaten this week is a croissant the other morning so I've come a long way considering I used to binge on choc and fizzy drinks almost every day!

Archduke · 19/06/2015 10:18

Hi all, evening here (am in Australia) today I have eaten fruit and veg juice for breakfast and lunch - Day 12, I am SICK of it. Then chicken korma with lots of veg for dinner and a delicious dessert of a banana.

TiredAssShowgirl, the juicing has been fantastic for a quick weight loss kick - in 12 days I have lost 4kg (almost 9lbs) which is fabulous obv, but I am getting fed up of all the liquid. I had a long meeting this morning and nearly fainted with hunger. So not brilliant. Still I'll stick with it for now.

I do think that cutting out booze and lattes has been effective too.

Go hard people - and don't collapse over the weekend.

Steala · 19/06/2015 12:07

Today has been TERRIBLE. I am 45 calories over my MFP allowance for the day and it's not even lunchtime yet. I am not looking forward to reporting in on Monday at all. Good luck over the weekend- stay strong (unlike me)!

bluejeanswhiteshirt · 19/06/2015 12:28

I've just managed to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans but they have an elasticated waistband - does that still count as being a success? Grin

houseHuntinginmanchester · 19/06/2015 13:09

So far:

Two boiled eggs and a slice of wholemeal toast that dd2 helped me polish off

A cup of tea.

Period pains have calmed down but period has arrived so no fasting for me Grin

Will walk to nursery to drop off dd instead of driving. I will. I WILL.

houseHuntinginmanchester · 19/06/2015 13:09

Blue jeans- whooooo yes it is very much a success ! Well done you Smile

Archduke · 19/06/2015 19:38

Blue jeans that's fantastic well done!

Steale don't panic just eat lightly for the rest of the day, it won't be too bad.

Am back from London Town with a hideous hangover so I've taken to my bed!
Queen we had a rather lovely meal at J Sheeky, very old school ( I had fish pie) huge selection of fish stuff. Service was impeccable. They have a lovely oyster bar next door if you want something a bit more casual and some nice fizz.
By the time we waded through gallons of wine wandering the pubs of Seven Dials we were hungry again, Dominoes was closed thank god so we went to Pix and had tapas :-)
Breakfast this morning was bubble and squeak with poached eggs and hollandaise, and dinner was carbonara. So basically, a fucking write off.
Onwards and upwards tomorrow!
Is it our 'official' weigh in tomorrow?

houseHuntinginmanchester · 20/06/2015 00:13

Turn - your stay in London sounds lush! Envy

Is there an official thread weigh in day Blush

TurnOverTheTv · 20/06/2015 07:48

'Twas fab House s much needed catch up with my best friends!
Ok I'm weighing in at 11st, so the 2lb I lost early in the week is back on! I'm not at all surprised so must try harder not to have bad days this week!
What's everyone's plans this weekend?

lastqueenofscotland · 20/06/2015 07:50

I've left the scales in my spare rooms en suite and we have a guest so probably can't barge in and wake her!

BBC Good Food are doing a 7 day summer diet plan if anyone is interested. They have breakfast/lunches/dinners, even if it's just to get an idea of some new recipes.

prettygirlincrimsonrose · 20/06/2015 08:10

Haven't really been logging food this week and had a few meals out, but only 9st 11 this morning so I think sticking to the part where I cut down on snacking has helped me not gain too much. Back to MFP today, and ideally the gym.

TurnOver those meals sound lovely!

bluejeanswhiteshirt · 20/06/2015 08:24

Thank you house & Archduke Smile I'm feeling much slimmer and I'm nowhere near where I want to be yet so its great. Loving the meal ideas TurnOver . I don't have any weighing scales so I walk a mile to my nearest mothercare and use theirs, is that cheeky??

Xoticdreamz · 20/06/2015 09:04

Weighed in today , coming in at 8 stone 13lb .
Keeping at it , really want to get rid of 3 more lb this week .
Have a good weekend everyone .

Honeyishrunkthekids · 20/06/2015 09:20

Can I join please I'm 9 stone 10 ish and would be happy to get down to eight and a half . I know a lot of people would be really happy at my weight but it's the heaviest I've ever been ignoring pregnancy weight. Just don't know where to start!

Mediumred · 20/06/2015 09:24

Ooh! V pleased, just weighed in at 9st11.5! Almost half a stone in a week. Think I have been a bit flattered by comparison with last Saturday morning when I hadn't been to the loo for a couple of days and had had a v large meal late the night before. Having said that I'm still really really chuffed.

I feel thinner, I've done 3 HIIT classes and been on my bike quite a bit. Been good with food & booze also.

I think my main thing is not to get complacent. I want to do a class today and still watch what I eat. We have friends tonight so that will be boozy and dp's making steak and salad. Def going to enjoy it all but will try not to go so mad I spend tomorrow mainlining carbs in a hangover!!

Well done/good luck to everyone else, onwards and downwards!

lastqueenofscotland · 20/06/2015 09:53

I've done totally shit and weighed in at 144.6!!!!!! For gods sake @ me. I can't believe I've put on 3lbs :( yesterday was awful as so hungover so tring to blame that
Total kick up the arse for me. So so cross,
Had pancakes for breakfast as need something half substantial before the 13 mile run I'm doing later then will have Cous Cous salad for dinner.

I want you all to send me aggressive hate mail until I'm under 10st!!

TurnOverTheTv · 20/06/2015 10:06

Breakfast fail! Queen! Get your shit together ;-)

Anyone with a stone or so to lose? Fancy buddying up?
PointyBirds · 20/06/2015 10:16

Don't know about hate mail lastqueen, I more of a gentle words of encouragement person Grin . As in, don't beat yourself up, you know why it's happened, and you won't be going to Ascot every week, so don't be disheartened, and get your focus back and you'll be reet Smile

My wobbly scales are wavering somewhere around 10st9/10st10. If I go to the gym later I'll step on theirs again for an official weigh in. I'm happy though, it's been ages since my scales have said anything other than 11st.

PointyBirds · 20/06/2015 10:18

Turn and I can play good cop bad cop on you Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 20/06/2015 10:23

Haha pointy that's probably true I'm loathe for excuses but I think I picked a bad week to start. Lots if social engagements, two sets of guests and an ascot trip as well as a manic work week.
Already got my meal plan for the week sorted so going to be super organised and super good!
Today I've already walked hour or so round the shops etc, cleaned the kitchen (more tiring than a run!!) and will go and run 13 miles in a bit.

If I don't look like Paula Radcliffe after this 13 mile run I quit.

lastqueenofscotland · 20/06/2015 10:29

And for anyone who cares next weeks meal plan
Monday lunch; baked potato, dinner pea and Cauliflour curry
Tues lunch: left over of the above and mushroom stroganoff for dinner
Weds left overs and roasted veg lasagne with spinach and ricotta instead of bechamel cheese on the top
Thurs left overs and veggie sausages with extra veg for dinner
Friday left overs (theme here?!?!) and then out for dinner with dp.

Running next week is 5 miles Monday, 5 miles + training session on Tuesday, 5 miles weds, 11 miles thurs day off Friday and 6 mile race Saturday. Either a long but very slow run on Sunday or a day out to agri show depending on dp/dsis and what they want to do!! :)

OP posts:
lastqueenofscotland · 20/06/2015 10:36

I realise that all sounds a bit carby but I really can't do low carb with that much running. Running is my life and my times/performance goes out the window on low carb! So that can't happen!!
Going to be good with portion sizes not have seconds and not snack!
And be really good with mfp

Having such a shit week is actually really motivating?!

DogWalker75 · 20/06/2015 10:36

Can I join please? I am 10st 7lbs and 5ft7. I'd like to get back down to 9st 7lbs at least.

I have just started C25K again (I didn't get very far last time!). I also need to work on my wobbly tummy, so if anybody has any tips for toning up that'd be great! I have the Davina DVD...still in its plastic wrapper BlushBlush

I tried the 5:2 diet but it didn't work for me. I have a heart condition and the fast days made me feel awful, so I need to be sensible this time.
